Earlier this week, Le 10 Sport claimed that Manchester United were interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos. The Brazilian has struggled to get in to Lauren Blanc’s first team, thanks to his fellow countrymen, David Luiz and Thiago Silva.
This season, Marquinhos has started 11 games, has been subbed on six times and has been an unused substitute seven times.
In an interview with JDD, Marquinhos claimed he was pleased to hear his name linked with United.
It’s my pleasure. It means that we work well. Like everyone else, I always want to be a part of the starting line-up. But we all must respect the choices of the coach and management. I will continue to work to get my place. But it’s true there will come a moment where I am older. You cannot just get used to sitting on the bench. There are six months left for PSG to win titles. After that, we’ll see what happens.
