Anthony Martial has been one of the few positives of Manchester United’s season, with his dazzling pace and quick feet a joy to watch.

The Frenchman has revealed in an interview with MUTV that he is settling in really well in Manchester, with his team-mates helping him adjust to a new country.

It’s going well, the club have really helped me a lot so now I’m really settled where I live, although now it’s a little more difficult to go out because people recognise me more. So I prefer to stay in at home more. But yes, I feel like I have settled in well to life here, and a lot of that is down to the club. The weather is quite different to Monaco, and the food is not quite the same, but I believe it’s down to me to adapt to the country I have come to, and currently it’s all going really well.

Martial singles out Morgan Schneiderlin, Marouane Fellaini and Wayne Rooney for their contribution, whether it be with the language or fitting in on the pitch.

From the beginning he [Schneiderlin] was always around to help translate but now I can understand things for myself so things are improving language wise. Gradually I’m trying to speak it a little more, right now I can understand things quite well but again it’s down to me to try and communicate in English with my team-mates. When we’re all together we speak English but when I’m with Marouane and Morgan I speak French. The Spanish lads chat in Spanish of course. But yes, when we are all together in a group we try and speak English.

I watch Rooney closely in training as I think that’s the key really, observe him closely in what he does. I think he’s a really great player and I think I can learn a lot from him. I hope I can get the maximum benefit out of doing this. We’ve spoken with Morgan there and he has praised me for the positive things I’ve done, but he’s also spoken whenever there’s been anything not so good, so that I can work on putting it right.
