If he had said this stuff I think he would have stood by it. My opinion this far is that he is something of a no bullshit manager. But I could have made a mistake by that ofcourse. At least he is a manager that likes his side to go on the attack. Thats for sure

And as far as Benitez. Is is wrong of me to say that his tactics have been far better than SAF in our games with Liverpool? Like the man or not, but he has his tactics in order against us.

They have owned us in central midfield each time. And we know that Torres is a world class striker, that is strong and quick enough to work on his own on the top.

You know the media actually love Sir Alex and Manchester United. In fact everyone does that is why they just cannot stop talking about us. They have to make shit up when there are no stories LOL. Honestly I can’t believe Martinez would have said this directly to a paper because it’s plain idiotic. Why would he alienate his contemporaries, and now have to back track and look like an absolute prick? However, it wouldn’t surprise me if he has said it off the record and it has got picked up somehow instead. If it was me I would be suing the source, let’s see if Martinez goes down that route – I doubt it. You could call it bringing the game into disrepute so it’s not a laughing matter. Anyway, the ‘Fergiebashing’ is really going to town at the moment. Typical media want to have it all their own way printing sensationalist rubbish and then hanging out to dry anyone that speaks their own mind like Sir Alex. Whether you agree with his comments or not do we live in a free speech society or not? Referees just look even weaker when they cannot just shrug off the tiniest bit of criticism. Every time something is said they have to go crying to the boss. Wankers

….ahem!… to be fair to Benitez he has kept his nose out of others business so far this season and has appeared very civilised in the media, only talking about his own team, that’s what I’ve noticed anyway.

These reporters deliberately try to get people to say controversial things by asking loaded questions. That’s why when quotes are attributed to people we should not make judgment until and unless we know the context
