Scott McTominay put in a great shift in keeping Eden Hazard out of the game in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea. Hazard was taken off with 20 minutes to play but McTominay was humble when discussing his role in the team.

Being a young boy you’re fearless. You just want to get on the pitch as much as you can and prove to people that you’re good enough and I thought today was a brilliant result for the team.

They’ve got quality players all over the pitch and on the bench as well, so no matter who comes on, Pedro, Willian or Hazard, they’re all tricky players and it’s going to be a difficult afternoon. I thought all the boys handled themselves really well.

When we went behind we knew we had to push on in the game. I thought we started off well and we caused them problems, but they were causing us problems as well. But I thought in the second half we were in complete control.

Since I was a young boy I’ve enjoyed my football but I’m enjoying it even more so now, playing in the Premier League and the Champions League. You take it all in your stride and I just want to improve each week.
