Fletcher still isnt convincing either as the ‘enforcer’, we need Harg back asap

On current form fletcher is the best central midfielder at the club and must start (never thought i’d be typing that 2 years ago)

Play him and anderson in the middle , jsp on the left and valencia on the right.

About Scholes – he still has good ball control and great ability to keep off the defender BUT his passing wasn’t especially effective since it was – again – mostly sideways or else long and very, very optimistic diagonal balls that might have occasionally found their target but NEVER opened up the opposition. He’s still reckless in the tackle and that won’t change. He did get himself into one outstanding scoring position and then fucked it up. All-in-all, a sad epitaph to an outstanding career from the GingerNinja. He’s still Ginger but he ain’t no Ninja.

About Giggs – he’s still an effective player but I think he’s best used in situations where can float in the middle, backed up by a player with a better defensive game. It was pretty clear to me that once Nani was substituted by Giggs, Evra’s ability to drive down the left wing was largely blunted. That was no coincidence. Nani gets shat on a lot but he does provide danger – AND a left-footed cross yesterday. Giggs can’t play on the left wing with the same effectiveness and I’m not sure if Tosic is considered to be a ready-for-prime-time-player. Giggs’ versatility – and his residual speed – does provide him with a longer Indian Summer than Scholes but both of them are clearly getting quite long-in-the-tooth.

You are right though, I expect we will see a lot of rotation, whether thats a good or bad thing is another matter entirely! lol
