If we are a goal down or all square, and Owen's on the bench, yuo know he can save the day. The other aspect of Owen is what he can bring to United off the pitch. With Giggs, Nev and Scholes likely to retire this season, we need experienced PRO's to step up, to help the kids grow without ego's into what Giggs is now. Owen, unlike Tevez, is just what we needed, a quiet player who couldn't give a damn about the press or the glitz that Ronaldo loves so much.
