The point you miss Suhayl completely is that bad tackles are being condoned by people who should know better. Maybe tiny taylor is the holiest man in the whole f***ing England .. but he still went in for the challenge with his studs up doing the damage he did. The excuse then was.. it was the skill and speed of Eduardo that did him. What rubbish !! It was the clumsy challenge and the intent to get stuck in, even if not malicious.

Anyways, we digress. The point here is that if people know that if they go in for a challenge and are not punished, they will only feel more encouraged. Universal condemnation, not condoning is needed.

Possebon is a victim of that mentality. Glad he is back on his feet with minimal damage.

I think there is a difference between eduardo and possebon.

Im a die hard utd fan. But i have to say there is a difference.

1. Eduardos injury was worse HOWEVER..EVEN THOUGH VERY VERY BAD. Tiny tim taylor isnt a dirty player and never has been. He’s clumsy and big. Eduardo did him for skill and the challenge was a mistimed one that epitomised someone who was too slow and too sluggish. NOT malicious though…not meant and he isnt a player like that. Wenger weeks after admitted that.

2. Possebons injury maybe not be as bad HOWEVER POGATETZ is a malicious thug dirty player..he does have a history of this and being downright reckless and dangerous. He meant to do what he did.

Week in week out you hear the same shit from people who should know better. A bad tackle can threaten the career of a young promising footballer and people justify by saying “He got the ball first”. I saw the video – it is similar to what the thug Kevin Davies did to Gael Clichy last Saturday. And then the f***ing morons on MOTD say “It wasnt even a yellow card”. You think they would have learned something from the Eduardo incident – but no – once an idiot always an idiot.

I am sure you will be seeing similar sentiment from a lot of folks. Wish the lad a speedy recovery.

I cant believe some people are trying to justify that… you’re showing yourselves up as total idiots… “Scholes does worse every week” really? When was the last time he broke someones leg then? “Keane did worse every week” aside from the Haaland tackle (which was disgusting in its own right and which he was rightly punished for) show me them will you, did he regularly break legs? “You only hear about it coz its a United player” really? What about the Gutherie incident a few weeks ago then? And the Eduardo tackle last year? Grow up…. Pogatez knew exactly what he was doing and whats worse is the reaction of the boro bench which shows them up for what they are, a small time club. Tough luck lads, thats any chance of a cup run over for another year… oh well there’s always 09/10 isnt there..

Although a lot of ppl argued that Pogatetz got to the ball 1st, it’s the nature of the tackle which got him the red card. I remember a similar tackle made by Hamann (on Bernt Haas?) for Livpool years bfore which got him sent off even though the victim managed to see the tackle and jump out of the way with minimal contact (Hamann got the ball as well).

Players like this need to be banned for longer … same thing with Eduardo but the player will just get the 3 match ban and be playing again in no time…

They should be banned for at least the same time as the player is injured!

football is physical but tackles like this are just reckless and have no place in the beautiful game!

The FA is a fucking joke,this murderer needs to be banned at least 3 months,not fucking three matches.
