Marouane Fellaini has been struggling with a knee injury since October when he returned from international duty with a problem. He missed a month of the season then before returning, only to miss all of Manchester United’s games in December.

Fellaini’s contract with United expires at the end of the season but there is an offer on the table from the club that he has yet to sign.

In Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, Fellaini came on in the second half for Paul Pogba before being substituted after just eight minutes.

Alexis Sanchez took a gamble with Arsenal by not extending his deal with the hope that a better club would snap him up. Mourinho was asked on Friday whether Fellaini was taking the same risk, to which the manager responded by revealing the advice he gave the Belgian.

“I told him yesterday, ‘sign the contract and shut up, don’t gamble too much’,” Mourinho said with a smile. “I told him, ‘sign the contract before you know the extent of the injury’.”

Mourinho couldn’t confirm how long Fellaini will be out for but certainly ruled him out of today’s game against Huddersfield. On the sidelines, he may be able to put the heart bingo promo code to good use.

I don’t have good news. I don’t have news because I don’t want to give news based on an initial approach but I don’t think the news is very good, he has a problem in his knee, is the same knee but not the same local, was internal, now external, so let’s wait a couple of more days but out of the game tomorrow.
