Why would Nani want to leave for Italy. At the moment there is only one possible team in Ital who is any good – Inter Milan. AC currently have one of the worst teams I can remember in 30 odd years, Juve, Roma etc arent real big clubs any more like they were in the 90′s.
Why would he want to go backwards to ITaly of all places. I can understand that given his current form and if he continues, Real WILL come knocking sooner or later…but Italy??? No chance
The gutter press could have chosen a better country though. Why on earth would Nani want to go to Italy!!?? Like really?? Italy??!!
Fucking ABU Jurnos stirring it up again as ARSE and ALL are now out of Europe they will try anything to undermine us
that a boy. now harden the fuck up and get back to terrorizing defenders
The media really are scraping the barrels to fill some pages eh… Laughable.
Loved Nani’s quick response to quash the matter via Twitter.
Random bizarre factoid – In Hawaiian, Nani means beautiful, enjoyable. Whilst i don’t want to have sex with the guy, the meanings are wholly justifiable!
Give it to ‘em Luis! Here’s hoping you get your confidence back after that dirty Carra incident.
The press can go fuck themselves
The guardian should be sued for libel and scandalous claims….Good on ya Nani to clear things up immediately
Now get back on your feet, get your confidence up and lead us to the nineteenth
Daniel Taylor from the Guardian started that one. Usually a good journo. Problem is Scott, he didn’t actually say he’s ‘not leaving’. He could love us and still want to leave. The ‘false reports’ he’s stated could be his reason for leaving. All hearsay. The sooner he comes out to clarify the better.
Nani and Valencia back, maybe we can give Giggs a day off now, I’m pretty sure neither of the old stalwarts in the midfield were planning to play the full ninety.
i just wonder where the fuck these stories come from in the first place and who the fuck pays these “journalists” to write the fucking bullshit???!!!
@ Fullard bit harsh mate, i know it wasnt very manly to cry on the pitch, but the tackle was one of the worst iv ever seen, add to that the tense atmosphere and the fact the ref clearly wasnt gona send carragher off, you can understand him being a bit emotional. How was nani to know that wasnt his season finished??
Put it this way if he was out for the season. id have been crying like a baby for days, hes easily been our most influential player this season. He doesnt need to harden up, hes like Ronaldo, gets kicked constantly in most games, and still has the courage to recieve the ball.
Nani’s had an outstanding season. Howeve, these comments do nothing for me anymore. Sorry. No offence to Nani. His job on the pitch is all I need.
Why should he leave? Among the first names on the team sheet for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Glory Glory Man United. Shame on those so called Manchester United supporters who think Nani was making a meal out of the Carragher tackle. When was the last time Nani dove? There is no basis to this just people who cant give credit where it is due.
It seems everyone with a pulse and a pair of boots is making a move somewhere other than reality ?Why isn’t Berbatov being played ?
Off topic…
I see that little shit Tevez went to the Marseilles team hotel to brief the players on how to beat United,
Let’s hope he uses the same equally effective talk before the FA Cup semi final.
Bruce – It didn’t work lol.
Nani cried because
1. He had made a mistake and Liverpool scored
2. The tackle was too hard and unfair and he wanted to make ammends for the mistake but Carra put paid to that
If that cunt Carragher could not put him in the treatment room with that horrendous tackle,then the fucking papers could do the nasty job by unsetteling him.Man United for the double you fucking scousers.
@bruce thomas
Like he knows how to!
I don’t believe any modern day footballer. Rooney has completely torn my beliefs apart. I hope he wants to stay but there will always be an element of doubt in my mind forever more.
i agree maybe i am being a bit harsh it was an awful tackle no doubt. when i first saw the incident peaking through my hands i thought embarrassed by how Nani was acting but seeing it again i can obviously understand.
But still, Ronaldo bulked up and learned to ride challenges more and became more accustomed to the game. Nani’s bulked up a bit too but still has that play-acting streak that makes me cringe.
That’s the boy Nannerz. We love ya, son!
Go on and terrorise Bolton on Saturday.
bruce – Is that true? Fucking horrible cunt.
off topic but bloody impressive. Says on sky that Valencia has created 93 chances since he came to the club. Take into account his settling in and missing most of this season.
bruce, they probably couldn’t understand him. You ever heard him talk??
@bruce
Did it ever occur to you that he may have gone to the Marseille team hotel to say hello to his Argentinian teammate Gabriel Heinze?

Factoid #2: In Japanese, ‘Nani’ means ‘what?’ My non-football Japanese lady friend is always tickled pink by ‘What’ terrorising the opposing team.
Anyone seen the video of Fergie laughing at Berbatov? Lol.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XpxiwIjjYg&feature=related
@costas – I saw that too, wonder what SAF was saying…..I have to say I feel bad for Berbatov, the man scores 20 goals and does not get to start. I hope his confidence does not start getting affected with sitting on the bench!
feels like a very long time since berbs played the last time
Well, his comment is not questioning the ambition of his teammates, and neither did he say “the future? only god knows”.
So I’m willing to believe him.
I really think he’s enjoying his time in United. We don’t exactly have training bust-ups do we?
@united.george
Yeah, I feel bad for him too. Lost his place withput doing a nothing wrong really. Just a victim of Rooney and Chicha’s partnership. It will be a big test for him mentally. I hope his confidence isn’t affected, but no stiker ca find form when thet play sporadically. And then there’s the issue with his contract.
@rat1p
It was at Anfield, but that was a forgettable occasion for every player.
It’s been 2 months since he scored too. You can see the media start sensing blood…
against liverpool
but the fact that he scored so many goals and isnt even considered to start makes me wonder.
i cant see him starting against bolton too.
mental battle for berbs hope he can cope with it and the contract issue hope he gets a new one
in the video it looks like saf is mocking berbs wonder what he was thinking
I’m starting an appeal, for the”I feel sorry for Berbatov losing his place”
All donations to the Red Nut foundation, will be greatly accepted. Not to be confused, with Kebab foundation, started by MG.
Thanks Nani, for reminding me I need not pay attention to the rumour-mongers.
There may even be other fans that heard you.
In future, don’t waste your time. I already ignored the rumours, and those who listened to them, don’t hear you. They are self-serving hypocrites who claim to love United, and yet always believe the worst about you. about our other players and staff, and about the club. They are deaf when you speak, and all ears when the gutter press call out.
Anyone who paid any attention to the rumours, but now doesn’t accept Nani’s statement as currently being 100% truth, is selfish, shallow and undeserving of United.
I am not donating any money. They’ll probably be spent on Jenna Jameson DVDs.
The real test for Berb from now on is if he will maintain his composure or if he will get frustrated like Ruud did after Saha took his place.
@pmcelevey1. Spot on mate. You gotta be “hard” to constantly ask for the ball and run at defenders responsible for kicking stomping and elbowing you. Carragher didn’t miss time anything. He would’ve happily taken a red card to remove Nani’s threat and like you said this is what players like Nani and Valencia face every game, as their play draws hard tackles and desperate fouls. I don’t doubt Nani’s courage for a second. His shin must have been burning him last night, even if he had injections the drugs wouldn’t stop his cut re-opening if he took a knock. Thats dedication mate, a pussy would stay on the op table till the scar from the stiching healed and his agent said it was ok to play. Nani IS made of strong stuff he’s just… “Continental” Lol
@Nani Rumour. After his great season so far, then his “villainous” O.G at Anfield and the accusation United players didn’t kick up dust after the foul (It took VDS to run from goal to say what needed to be said) the papers obviously thought they had a story. After all, how many United supporters showed a united front regarding Nani last year? The papers have all the ammo they need to give the story legs and some supporters only have themselves to blame tbh. Add to that Nani’s comparatively low wages (how much are Silva, Lennon and Walcott on?) and the fact there isn’t a team in Europe who wouldn’t welcome him, and it becomes understandable the Papers think they have a story here.
But I can’t see him leaving. Alec is not stupid. Nani is class and he’s still developing, improve our weak midfield and he will improve as a player. United would be stupid to let a multi talented young player like Nani leave, when his next 5 seasons will see him hitting the form of his career. And if he still doesn’t have his own song, come up with one FFS aye?
Also, its been absolute fucking quality seeing Valencia back.
He ran Arsenal ragged and put in an even better performance last night. You can see how much we’ve missed him. For me he is the best right winger we have, a traditional winger, and Nani is the best possible replacement for Giggs on the left. Who betterin world football to replace Giggs on the LEFT than Nani? Giles often writes Rooney should play in the Scholes position and on last nights performance nobody can argue with him. on occasion, Anderson and Rooney have struck up a brilliant understanding of each others game. They are both wiley, robust, technical players with surprising pace and they do that ticky tacky touch and go stuff quite well, Its fantasy football, but imagine those two paired in midfield with Nani on the left and Valencia on the right? Or a 4-3-3 with Rooney up front sitting deep between Berb and Hernandez, with Nani Ando and Tony through the middle? We have been grinding out results for the last 2 seasons, but with our tem returning to full strength the best is clearly yet to come,
I hoped we’d still be leading the league and still in the FA Cup and Europe when our players are all back fit and it looks like it might just happen. Alec the genius. Can’t wait to see what he has planned for the team, but having Valencia back on the right is huge. Put Nani on the left and our midfield suddenly has more options and the game can be stretched. Time to stop fighting with one hand tied behind our back Lads.
Their is only one foundation on this blog lol

I couldn’t stop laughing whenever i see that video.Berba’s expressions and SAF’s attention to that makes it a very funny one indeed…although i feel for berba i enjoyed it…its nice to have 3 in form strikers..
Unconfirmed report from a Guardian journalist on twitter that Sir Alex has received a 5 match ban.
@Real red devil
Maybe he was making fun of Berb’s hair?
It surely wasn’t because Berb was sceptical. It’s not like Gibson and Valencia were any happier, lol.
@Costas
I don’t think berba will mind even if he don’tget regular starts because he already expressed his love and desire to the club and his ambition to play out his career at united.
Paul Parker @ 14:50 – Will he ?/won’t he ? It’s hard to fathom the reasons why player – especially foreign “mercenaries” – want to stay or want to leave. Sometimes it’s more money; sometimes it’s a family issue; sometimes it’s got to do with greener grass on the other side; sometimes it’s just a matter of playing time or a new challenge. UTD did everything possible to make it good for CR7 but he had his own agenda and left to follow his boyhood ‘dream’; maybe Nani has a boyhood dream, too. Who knows.
The most UTD can do is to treat these guys well, respect them, AND pay them what they are worth. In Nani’s case, his “worth” has skyrocketed since January/10 and in my opinion he’s deserving of a raise.
Behind this suggestion, there is an ominous reality – players hold the hammer in contract negotations and it’s simply the way it is. There’ s no point in yammering on about the sanctity of a contract – for these guys, their careers are short and can end suddenly so it only makes sense for them to optimize their earnings (NOT maximize but optimize – non-monetary factors such as team spirit, respect, and so on come into play in making a decision).
And there’s a knock-on implication of this – having gone after a lot of kids – WayneBoy, CR7, Anderson, Nani, etc., etc. as a way of short-circuiting the inflated “no value” transfer market, UTD now have a lot of guys – WayneBoy, Nani, Anderson, Smalling, Rafael, Fabio, and Chicharito – who are going to want big, big raises as they come into their prime years. The up-side of this is that these guys will have had a long time to settle in to life in M/C as well as winning trophies at UTD – this is a non-monetary factor of huge significance.
From the administrators’ point of view, the club’s finances pivot on not paying out more than 45 % of total income on player wages (and, I suppose, transfer fees). So, a high-wage structure is necessarily going to cramp the amount of money that will be available for transfers. But, this, too, has an up-side since it means that you’re dealing with the devils-you-know-NOT-the-birds-in-the-bush.
The political economy of footie has changed a lot in the last twenty years – and these changes have been tweaked in the last seven/eight years since Roman Abramovitch took over Chelsea and turned it into CSKALondon. For plutocrats like Abramovitch, the Sheikh at ManShitty, Berlusconi at ACMilan, the oil guy at InterMilan, and the free-money clubs in Spain, the teams are playthings and wages are just fantasy numbers.
One hugely-misunderstood implicatoin of the relatively tight-ship that the Glazernomiics have forced on David Gill and the UTD administrators is that they have already been playing according to the “economic fair play rules” by self-imposing a salary-cap on their transfer/wage structures. I assume that this self-imposed strategy will give UTD a big, big advantage when those fantasy playthings come face-to-face with the new political economy of EuroFootie that the PlatiniRules will create. From what sense I can make of this new landscape, there are only three “Big14″ clubs that are well-positioned for the medium-term future: UTD, TheArse, and BayernMunich. The rest are in deep doo-doo in terms of balancing their books.
So, looking at Nani’s financial “demands” – or his agent’s ploy – in this wider context makes sense of their demand to “show me the money” AND also why it makes sense for UTD to do so. In the 19th century it used to be called payment-for-results and no one can argue that Nani has provided fantastic results for the past 14 months. In this new world of footie-economics, he should get more.
@Denton Spot on Mate!
Bringing in younger talent and then increasing their pay as they develop is more prudent than spunking 50 fucking million on one man unproven at his new club. And your right, very few clubs will cope well once the new rules fully kick in. United is a tightly run ship. Specifically with Nani im gonna be a romantic and say he doesn’t want to leave – as supporters and fans we shouldn’t be skeptical all the time, even if it is against our better judgement to give the benefit of the doubt.
If Nani decided to leave After a long illustrious career with us I wouldn’t mind – the huge sacrifice of giving up a warm climate is lost on most Englishmen lol – but im hopeful Nani truely wants to spend his best years in Manchester with United. I can’t see him leaving or Alec letting him go.
any update on machedas progress no?
im sorry lads but berb is sittin where he belongs, apart from the pool game where he scored 3, when liverpool were playin like pub team, hes done the business against weak opposion. He slows our play down no end. All the great united teams had pace, and berb doesnt suit a counter attacking team like we are. Rooney in the hole feeding tony v, nani & chico……… im wet at that thought
and Rooney’s performance last night…………………………………………….. MAJESTIC!!!
luv man u too
@ScholesForGoals
Nani in Swahili means “what”.
So What was on twitter. Bless u Twitter. Also I hope Nani is talking about his love for United not Monica Upminister.
Basically my view on Nani is that he wants to be a star player, he is not the celebrety type like Becks and Ronny, at United, unlike Madrid, he can be the main man in a huge club, I think that is what he really wants and he knows this is his moment that is why he was crying when Carrihagger shinned hi.
I think if we give Nani love and support he will shine for us, I know there are all kinds of local and foreign mercenaries, but I don’t think he is one – hey what happened to BELIEVE! Nani What u got my support. Peace out. You can not bring out the best in someone unless u see the best in them first that is SAF’s magic.
@ ScholesForGoals
Sorry – Nani in Swahili means “who”.
If this is the real Nani twitter. Then im freaking happy. Because, i like his sentence!!!
“I want you to know that you will hear the truth from me. Love MU.”
