Less than 18 months ago, it looked as though Nani’s Manchester United career was over. He couldn’t get in to the team, cut a miserable figure when he did play and rarely showed end product.
Now, he’s arguably the most effective player in the league and has more assists Samir Nasri, Gareth Bale, Jack Wilshere Wilshere, Alex Song, Abou Diaby, Tomas Rosicky, Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel put together (thanks Nick).
Nani has revealed he is really enjoying himself this season but will reflect more on that in May when he’s got trophies to show for his hard work.
“I always tell everyone I have ambition and it is not easy to give up on Manchester United,” said Nani. “But at the same time you come to Manchester United to play. I am feeling so good with the team now and I have been doing so well, but I know I can do much more. That is why I’m training hard every day and staying fit for every game. It’s good to have so many goals and assists. And it’s so good to know that when you are on the pitch your confidence is so high you want the ball all the time, because everything is going so well. It’s good that people are looking to me because this is my life – I do everything for the football and I want to get even better. It’s my best season at United, but the most important thing is to win the trophies with the team. When I have won the trophies, I will look back at how I have contributed.”

Man Utd News 24/7

i really like the way nani has matured on and off the pitch, his close control and dribbling ability is as good as it gets.little more thought about the final ball he’ll be the complete package.utd should sit down and extend his contract this kid is just going to keep getting better and better.
He’s come on leaps and bounds, definately improved big time, good improvement on his attitude aswell. when he’s good he’s very good but when he’s bad he’s fucking awful.
he’s a top player and deserves the praise he’s getting but i do think he has the potential to be a lot better than he is, if he can add abit more consistancy to his game he will be a very good player at United.
Keep up the great work Nani. I’ll admit I didn’t see a future for this guy.. but now I am a big fan of the lad… people get irritated when he shoots so often but I say keep it up Nani. When Nani hasn’t played this season we have looked short of ideas and creativity.
Also a bit of nostalgia:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7g2sWGVN24&feature=related
When Carrick was at the peak of his powers.
Nani has been great for a while now and even if it doesn’t work for him, he still takes a lot of attention from the opponents and gives opportunities to other players. He will improve more IMO, but he really needs other players to start performing really soon and help him out. Nani that only needs to deal with one defender can do a lot of damage.
Nani has definitely stepped up. There is still loads of room for improvement. His decision making can improve. But what really needs work is the free kicks. Free kicks and corners going right to hell this year.
Anyway, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MAN. We would be out of luck this year if not for Nani and Berbatov!
One of the few players at United, that actually get you off your Arse when he is attacking, on the football, can glide past an opposition player, a trick, a subtle dribble.Leave the defender for dead. Not a Ronaldo, but, not wanting to leave, the biggest club in the world.Tm. Before.
We need more players like Nani at United, its an entertainment buisness. We “pay” to watch great football, dont we?
No lads, he isn’t jewish, but this is a great chant tune for Nani!
——————
Nani nani nani, he just loves to score.
Nani nani nani, United to the core.
Oh Nani nani nani, he loves to push attacks.
Ran right past your defense and never did look back.
He loves to score v city and loves to score v spurs
He loves to score on sunday or in the champions league
Scores loads of goals with both his feet, he really doesn’t care.
And if you get in tight on him he’ll score one with his hair.

FletchTHEMAN says:
No lads,” he isn’t jewish”, but this is a great chant tune for Nani!
——————
What does this mean Fletch?
Nani has been the season best player apart from vidic, rafael and giggs. He win matches, create chances consider rooney, valencia and scholes being injured or off form in certain time.
If we win some trophies, i be glad at his contribution..
I believe he has sign a new contract already.
@Fletch the “Man”, if you were trying to have a pop, darling.I have taken”bigger” United fans than you, on various sites.
Be carefull.I would be, this “little fucker” Grows and learns.Plus i dont scroll, shite from other sources.”I love you Fletch” : D
@RedScot Cheers mate.
The tune is taught all around the world to kids in preschools, but is originally yiddish. At least that is my understanding. My kids sing it. I think it goes well.
Indispensable. We’ve missed Valencia all season but luckily Nani looking like the player we hoped he could be. Not quite ronaldo (who is) but still easily the 2nd best winger in the world IMO
@ Fletch, ha ha, so we are pre school, on here now are we?
Fascinating thanks for sharing.
i often think the same, but thats just my humour and dyslexia
Got to ask…. any any any news on Owen Hargreaves?
I seriously have to get off YouTube and looking at old clips of him in action. What a player he is! (was?)
I am doing a gentle, reintroduction on ROM, A gentle slide in.And my girl friend wants the same.
Keep it Red lads and keep the humour, like Cedars, Willie,Mg, Tony b, the mad bastard,King eric,Smart Alex. etc etc.Ohh and that copy cat Costas, the Greek who is no even fucking Greek. What next.Greeks bearing gifts. lol
Off to try to reproduce.
i’ll alert the media
“I always tell everyone I have AMBITION and it is not easy to give up on Manchester United,” said Nani
Is this directed at certain Mr.Ambition
@wayne
LOL…
@redscot
this gentle approach doesn’t suit you mate, its like JTerry suddenly appearing as a proper gentleman
@RyanDunny
thanks for that link, that should shut up certain jerks who feel that carrick isn’t worth a penny, what they have to understand is that he is quality but just out of form and a season of bad performance that knocked out his confidence
and SAF knows that, he recently mentioned carrick in the next line of seniors in our dressing room
@Ryandunny
Yesterday i kept on asking about an update on OH on several threads, yet it looked more like a joke rather than a serious query, please put up a compilation of that curly hair talent if you have time
As i mentioned in previous threads regarding our formation…here is one nice analysis how our formation can be…picked up from busbyway site
http://thebusbyway.com/2011/02/25/uniteds-best-option/
and a brilliant article on Steve Bruce
http://thebusbyway.com/2011/02/24/steve-bruces-journey-to-the-top-was-a-long-and-hard-one/
Don’t know if anyone posted this already rather old news, sorry if already posted
Sir Alex commented: (on Josh King, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Paul Pogba)
“They are progressing very well. You see that young Tunnicliffe in the youth team last week, he was outstanding. Josh King has come back from… he had a sort of, not a long term injury but he was out for 4 or 5 weeks, when he got injured playing for Preston but he’s now back and playing really well for the reserve team.
“And as we always do when young players show potential, we try to include them first of all in the first team training, which they have done along with Paul Pogba who has done very well, also he’s not in the 24 (for Europe) otherwise he would have been with us in Marseilles too. But they are making great progress and they are very strong boys; quick, aggressive boys, and so they have good chances.”
Those comments from SAF, are very exciting to see as it shows that these terrific young players are in his plans for the immediate future rather than playing for reserves and academy for another 3-4 years
It’s a shame about his volatile decision making ability. A more intelligent Nani could have had twice the amount of assists.

Evilwacko
It has improved alot if you compare to previous seasons, and i still feel that’s the only thing which he is holding him from becoming a world’s best attacking player
Other than Utd, an interesting match this weekend
Bayern Munich vs Borussa Dortmund
players to watch: Sahin, Goetze, Barrios, Schweinsteiger, Robben
Truly an inspirational player who is beginning to personify the Manchester United work ethic and attacking flair! When Bebe was hands on hips, Nani was bumping shoulders with Oshea. Keep it up, Nani!
Hopefully our midfield perform for the next few games.Plz carrick, you one of my fav players..dont dissapoint
i had faith in the lad from the time of ronaldo….
his movements drifting dribbling free kick taking remind me of ronaldo…hope he will be as valuable player for the club as ronaldo was..at this time he is a balanced player.he makes things even with sometimes a moment of class and brilliance and sometimes wasting very easy opportunities..
Massively pleased for the lad. Keep up the good work Nani.
The last time i saw Hargreaves was 2 year ago on the 18 green where i play golf, He sunk a two foot putt. quality . sorry i lied he started a game a couple of months ago.. I wish he was fit to play we miss him.
Sell him. Buy Ribery!
Nah…seriously, Nani or Vidic are my first picks for United top performer this season
Hes been great this season, also he tracks back and does his own share of defending too.
To me it doesnt matter if he tries 10 shots or dribbles – he generally scores
or assists in one of those moments.
I think hes bought into the United way now too.
We just need a bloody song for him though.
Ithink he signed a new contract at the end of 2009?
In time where our midfield has been awful this guy’s a joy to watch. But his decision making at times are just horrid. He could be so much more if he could be rid off the Ronaldo in his head. On you go lad.
Nani is wasteful but it shows he’s ambitious and always looking for ways to improve his game.I say let’s encourage him it would only make him better. He reminds me of Ronaldo in 05/06.This is when Ronny made his breakthrough. His goal tally will improve next season he’ll start hitting 20+ goals as from next year.
Been a top player for us this season no doubt…… One aspect of his game I like to see him work on is taking corners, hardly beats the first man in his deliveries.. However overall we have been poor at set pieces in general
Don’t you guys just hate that douchebag ‘arry Rednknap or whasimmer is his name spelled, he want’s Bale to be player of the season in EPL, then Nasri (lol) and Adam (even lolier
), but no mention of Nani, Berbatov, and for fucks sake even that cunitsh twat Tevez (hate it hate it really to say or write his name), and not even a slight mention of Vidić, the fuck, it’s about Vidić and Nani, 2 horse race, ffs ‘arry, get your fucking lines straight you nimrod.
Can’t do edit here, but here is a link where ‘arry explains it all, deluded mother fucker and yeah, what did Bale do in EPL, he only produced in Champions League, jesus fucking christ:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/sunsport_columnists/3434366/Harry-Redknapp-Gareth-Bale-on-course-for-world-super-stardom.html
Btw, I would love it if we could sign Bale.
And yeah, the tune to that song about Nani
)
I have a little dreidel, it’s small and made of clay,
But I’m not gonna play with ti,
Cause jews are freking gay (don’t you just love Eric Cartman

I’ll try to make it spin, it fell, I’ll try again
Massive South Park fan here
I was just thinking of there. Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes were pivotal in a two man midfield from 06-08 especially.
How many times have the two played together in a two this season?
Despite my criticism of Michael this season, I wish he would get back to his best. He stills protects the back four well, but I yearn for some of his long range passing.
Oh interesting stat on Bale in the EPL:
He has the same amount of assists as Edwin Van Der Sar!
Happy match day, Mancunians! To the Republik, the glory! Onward, upward, to victory!
Off topic, but:
“Ferguson was asked about Owen Hargreaves’s fitness and replied: “I’m not getting into that.”
Why not get into that?
Happy B’day to Obertan and Ole Gunnar Solkjaer!
*Solskjaer
Ryandunny
LOL….that’s an interesting stat…EVDS>bale
Of course Nani is our engine in attack creating, and best in the midfield so far this season, but I just get more and more frustrated every time he doesn’t pass the ball when he needs to. I acknowledge that he is best in epl with 13 assists, but that number could be 26 if he passed more instead of dribbling or shooting.. And it seems to me that no one of more experienced players won’t point that to him because of his great stats
P.S. I am new here, and this is my first comment, so hello to all fellow mancunians
Fucking sick of planet of the apeman Bale and pansy Nasri getting all the plaudits. The cunts ain’t done anything for two months. Nani gets fuck all praise but I bet in the next year or two the abu’s will suddenly wake up and be wanking over him. His progress is taking exactly the same route as Ronnies albeit at a later stage. As someone said next season twenty goals. He could easily get 15 or more this season.
There’s a United game in a couple of hours, why is everyone so quiet?
“Not easy to give up on United” Is the headline on the article.I think thats approriate on this day and our visit to Wigan. Is it make or break,is it going to go pear shaped, and all our wishes and dreams of a 19th premiership title begin to unravel before our very eyes. After two lacklustre performances on the trot, and the “real ” Manchester United, very seldom so far this season, giving us the United support much to feel proud and confident about.
The midfield has as we all know, been almost chaotic at times. No midfield dominator, to dictate the tempo of the play.Micheal Carrick, contstantly passing side ways, backwards, refusing to take responsibilty to pass forward with conviction.Prefering to pass 5 yards to the evergreen,Paul Scholes,to make the telling pass.Anderson appearing now and again, displaying he is a United player every now and again.Darron Gibson, not unlike Carrick, this is the player alledegedly to take the place of Paul Scholes, he is a mighty long way of that calibre.Owen Hargreaves, well thats just sad.The return of the marvelous Antonio Valencia, will give us the width, we as a United team, use to counter attack with purpose.I wish he would be back now, but he will add the injection of energy and tracking back to support the defence, and deliver a telling cross, to help Rooney, get some goals.Wishfull, thinking possibly, but I want him, to get back to decent form, and repay the fans, for his disgusting behaviour. No point in bearing grudges just now, with the finishing line, tantalisingly close.
I hate running down our players, its just not how I like to think of Manchester United players. They need to show spirit and guts today, give us all something, a convincing and memorable performance
today at the DW stadium.
Our defence is the best in the Premiership, hands down, plus our fabulous back up defence, if not in my opinion, it may well have been out of sight bye now for the 19th, which we crave, to knock them of their fucking perch.
Enjoy the match lads, lassies, its gonna be great, I feel it.I havena been, playing with my “Crystal balls”.
Lets shout the lads on and holler from our hearts, to encourage the boys to deliver for us,its perilous close, but as Nani, says “Dont give up on United.”
Cmon United. Cmon you Reds.
Off to the Pub, to wet ma whistle, prior to the match.
Cheers Fletch the man.Fingers crossed.
Ps and no mention of the Glazer, in this hellish mess..
King Eric- Hello mate. Planet of the Ape man. Quality.
RedScot- Well said.
@KingEric
I know mate. Seriously I heard someone say when he was talking about Nani that he doesn’t do it enough? I was tearing my hear out when I heard it.
Mind you it might a blessing in disguise that he isn’t regarded by the press….keep those cunts over at Madrid away from him.
My lineup for tonight:
VDS- Rafael- Vida-Smalling- Evra- Nani- Fletch-Carrick- Obertan- Berba- Owen
I have a feeling SAF will rest Giggs and Scholes ahead of the trip to the Bridge.
RAVEL MORRISSON at the double for the u18s>>>
CedarsDevil, how are you my friend?
I am thinking about the reaction of some fans after games, like the Marseilles match, where they abuse certain of our beloved players, right here on RoM. I remember that you hardly posted that night. You said that RoM is much more pleasant when we haven’t just played, and I must admit that I agree. On RoM after anything less than a stellar performance, it becomes impossible to discuss the pros and cons, as we are forced to spend the whole time defending our idols from sneaky, cowardly cunts.
Posters complain that if they say anything negative, they are shot down. They lie.
They know that their points were made rudely and aggressively. Cunts.
Any point can be raised without receiving a vitriolic response, just apply logic, fairness and do not be rude about people we love.
Perhaps we should select an old RoM thread as a meeting place for those who genuinely wish to discuss the performance after the game without resorting to slander. Else, StR would have to set up a VIP room for us. Thoughts?
smartalex
You could come to my site? haha only joking
I always try to give the pro and cons of a player….. I remember the other day I basically was the lone defender of Bebe who I still think can become a handy player..
Also I have a big disdain of people who go we should sign: Pastore…Ganso….Neymar…..Kaka e.t.c and basically that any english player should be disgarded as overrated and rubbish.
Not that i agree with them in anyway shape or form, but you should hear what john giles, liam brady and eamon the pisshead dunphy say about nani. They reckon he is just a squad player.
I would even take the gamble in the summer to see some of the youngsters making their first team debut.
Pasore and Ganso are talent players, but like lot’s of brazilians they would have lots of problems in england.
Specially with the physique of the game.
Zelh
Without doubt their talented players but like you said most of um would probably struggle in the Prem…plus how much would they cost? Heard palermo put a 100 euro price tag on Pastore’s head
Mark Flyinn
Oh don’t get me started on them….. I refuse to watch them for United games
That clown Dunphy makes my blood boil…. He called the 08 team not a great team…berated Ronaldo for years and now he’s doing the same to Nani…
Then when his lovechild Rooney goes through a bit of bad form he is sympathetic…. if that was Nani he would kill him..
AHHHH JUST FOUND OUT I ACTUALLY DON’T HAVE SETENTA SPORTS 1 TO WATCH THE GAME….
Have to find a watch a shitty stream now
I hate to say it but Smartalex 13.30….Damit to hell….I agree
Nice to here Redscot is still procreating…..
Hey Ryandunny, hope you are well. I visit your site every day. You are on the right road, and as you know, that road is long. I get that you are kidding about all meeting at your site. Of course, it wouldn’t help. Before long, the cunts would track us down.
The answer is not clear. If you limit the forum , by content or contributor, it will lead to failure. The fact that anyone can say anything creates the environment we desire. I know that sensible posters who love United are able to criticize without rancour. I guess it is up to that group to police the forum. It’s just that I’d like to spend the evening basking and analyzing, not cursing and defending.
smartalex
Great points raised buddy… Whether or not we could get our VIP room or not I will keep persevering here and doing my own crusade of fighting off idiots…
C’MON UNITED

good stream
Hey TonyBee! As a determined defender of RoM, you would agree. Sometimes we’d like to take the gloves off, put our feet up, drink, chat, laugh and cry, not fight and defend.
Ah, well, it’s a damned job, but someone ends up doing it.
SmartAlex
I’ve been wondering who keeps visiting it! haha
Thanks that means a lot. I know the road is very long. The main struggle is consistency… wondering is your blog going to make it and what’s the point. Also with studies, work e.t.c very difficult to find time!
I know what you mean… I remember after the Barcelona final in 09 … my brother unleashed a big rant about our midfield…. saying it was rubbish…. when in fact he completely forgot that Fletcher who was brilliant that season was out… Owen Hargreaves was injured…. Michael Carrick had been brilliant that season and we were up against the one of the best sides of the last few years and we had a bad day.
TonyBee
Thanks man! I was dreading looking through tons of streams that need me to download x,y and z and then stop five minutes later!
VDS
O shea
Smalling
Vidic
Evra
Fletcher
Carrick
Scholes
Nani
Rooney
Hernandez confirmed line up
Determined perseverance is a key to success in life, CedarsDevil. In this instance, we bale out the inrushing tide, working feverishly to keep the RoMboat afloat. Fuck me, after hours of manning the bilge pumps, I’m exhausted. There is the blessing that we always outlast the storm…
Don’t know why when there’s no win up in the sky, stormy weather
when we lose, we ain’t together, keeps raining all the time
Life is bare, gloom and misery everywhere, stormy weather
Just can’t get my poor old self together
I’m weary all the time, the time
So weary all the time
Cheers Ryan.
9 out of 11 for me. Didn’t think Sheasy and Hernandez would start. It’s tough on Berb, especially if he doesn’t start at the Bridge. Strong line up nonetheless…
boogeyman – Hello my young friend. How are you?
RyanDunny – Yeah good point mate , keep those fascists grubby mitts away.
smartalex – genius idea. A VIP room . Failing that like you said an old thread. Top idea.
Really worried about this one. Won all 12 encounters with them. They’ve scored 1 goal in the last 7 matches and last year it was 5-0 to us. This stinks of a bloody upset. I dont know if Id be able to cope very well with another fucking Wolves performance. I dont know if I can cope with all the negativity on here afterwards. Of course every year at this time the arsehole starts twitching like Stephen Hawkings keyboard chin, I know because it nibbles on my boxers and more than half the material seems to be a meter deep tucking into last nights dinner, but this year I have to say that it feels like we did our fucking best to screw it up again. It feels that we are playing at times like the boring old Arsenal of the 80′s and its not the Manchester United way of doing things.
Come on United!
lets hope the lads get a early goal and are not looking past wigan to the chelsea game.it makes me fucking sick those cocksuckers got to call off the game and now all the cards fall in their favour.i truly hate those rentboy cunts.easy win and injury free today let the football gods be with us
9 out of 11 for me as well. Had a feeling Scholesy would be rested for Tuesday. And I really hope Berba’s exclusion is a sign that he’ll start on Tuesday- it’s a shame our top scorer is left on the bench this often.
Nice to see Little Pea starting……….. Hope he bangs a brace today
Costas – No Prob
I think Berb must play on tuesday if he’s left him out today…. then again you never know with SAF
I thought Hernandez would start…didn’t think Rooney would
Wonder why Rafael has been picked? O shea is a good deputant thought
GoatinaUnitedShirt – Ya I am worried about this game also…. hopefully United will get the win.
If we could get 7 points out of 9 in the next week I think we’ve had done really well.
a loss today and we have to win at least at the bridge.
now the team has to show some character.
time to show why we’ve von the trophy 18 times!
Goat – I share your worry too pal. Game 13. Fuck sake.
I assume Rooney isnt playing on the left and we are going with one striker? NOT at fucking Wigan. Nani on left and Fletcher on the right may be the line up. Come on lads, don’t fuck this one up.
So is Berba gonna feature against the Rentboys and Dippers? If not he will have played one fucking game in 5 weeks or summat. He is the form man. I can only assume Fergie is playing Rooney into form.
King Eric -
I hope to god it’s not 4-3-3…we show to much respect to the lower sides in the league. 4-3-3 against Birmingham…West Brom…..Blackpool…. for example… and it was when we went 4-4-2 that we won at Blackpool.
Actually lads, it’s game number 12 in the league.
13 if you count the league cup final in 2006. Ok, it’s been a great run, but if we play well, it should continue.
@Ryan
Maybe O’Shea is prefered for his height. But with him and Fletch on that side, I think that most of our wing play will be done at the other end. I agree about your points target. Given our away record 7, even 6 points from the next 3 games will be fantastic.
Also had 9 of 11. I had Giggs and Berbatov for Fletcher and Hernandez.
It’s a great line-up, that Wigan won’t be able to handle. Come on United!
hey King Eric, I hope all is good with you. With regard to your post at 14:11, the New Ryan Giggs Banner thread has only 50 comments, no high-data loading, and Giggs isn’t playing. Perhaps that thread could be used as a haven, if required later. All welcome, leave slander of United at the door.
Cheers mate put my mind at rest that. Game 13, never thought of that. Well next time I need reassurance about something Ill bring a dull knife for you to plunge and twist. lol.
But of course who am i kidding, 4 goals for us today with chicos first hattrick.
Am I the only one who thinks that that Andy Townsend looks like a kiddie fiddler. I don’t mean a circus act where he dresses up like the lead guitarist from ACDC but with more of a hoe down/ Dolly Parton twist. I mean someone who drives around in an over powered white BMW saloon with a dirty grin on his face and a 12 year old in the passenger seat.
Goat – Contemptiblity is not easy to define. Ours not to reason why, it’s best we just put townsend down.
Here is a good stream:

the best player in the team with still a whole lot of room for improvement frightening isn’t it.
nani nothing will stop you by score or to asisst more goal for man united.your word is true we atrophy back at old trafford
