Nani is already upbeat about next season, claiming our trophy will be back in Manchester this time next year.
“We still have to be confident about next season,” said nani. “Next year we will be fantastic because we will show that we are strong and we will work hard. We did so well and it was quite equal between ourselves and Chelsea. You could say we deserved to win the title as well. But we have to forget about this and think about next season. We’ll be strong next season. United is a very strong club, we have a very strong mentality. We didn’t win the league this season, but next time we will.”
That’s the spirit!

Man Utd News 24/7

Chelski, enjoy it while you can…
Those r the words of a true red.We shld 4get about this season n go into nxt season stronger with a couple of signings
If you maintain your current form, we will have a great chance Nani.
Surprise of the season was Nani’s form and how important he is now to us. I hope he upstages Ronaldo at the world cup and comes back injury free:)
If players like Nani keep up their form next season and we don’t have a massive injury crisis, with Chelsea a year older I think we have to go down as favourites irrespective of signings. Easy to say in hindsight, but had we not had that massive spell where we were playing just Evra of our normal back 4 we would be miles ahead… or had Rooney not picked up that freak injury we could have won the league and gone further in the CL…
He had another superb game today. Well done Nani
I agree, with the spirit we have at our football club we’ll be up there next season in number 1 slot.
Enjoyed the game and the Banter with the Stoke fans the problem I have is Utd Fans Booing Berbatov when he went off total tossers and a discrace.
Anyway Love Utd and will be renewing regardless of who owns the club. Got to wait till August before I grace OT again.
We always come back fighting. The treble next season.
With the right signings there’s no reason why UTD cannot win back the title next season.
A top class goal-scorer, a creative MF, and a defensive MF should add a lot more punch to the team.
Fergie is aware of the team’s shortcomings and efforts will have already started to bring in the right type of player.
As for the just completed season, I’d just like to reiterate a comment I made at Christmas – the winner if this season’s title will go down as the worst team in the history of the EPL. I still stand by that. UTD have a need to strengthen their team, but so do Chelsea.
“and will be renewing regardless of who owns the club”
Where’s your morals, laddie?
Help to give the Glazers the heave ho by deferring buying your ST until they’ve gone for good.
i’m lovin nani.
it’s amazing to think he wasn’t a regular starter for most of the year. now (along with rooney obviously) he’s arguably our most important attacking player.
oh fuck off!
don’t give me the “next season” bollocks again.
I watched today’s game with a scouser in a pub
and he said so many United people “next season” shite
that he feels as embarrased as he is with his club’s statements.
come on, don’t do that.
we’ll win or we’ll lose.
just do your best an all.
thats good attitude from the lad, with him on form along with rooney and a couple of buys we can get it back next year…its only on loan.
Spoken like a true Red, it brings a tear to my eye. He’s a testiment to what a little patience and confidence can do to a player. I hope he has a great WC with Portugal and comes back ready to rock next season.
He’s still “inconsistent” BUT – ohwygawd ! – how high are the highs ? His left-footed cross to Berbatov was terrific; his right-footed cross to Berbatov was even better. Too bad that the man on the end of those two crosses – ah, FuckIT, let’s not go there. Forget about Berbatov – you can stick a fork in him; Dimmy is done-like-dinner !
Nani has come on leaps and bounds; if he can improve on this last four months’ performances then I don’t see any argument about adding another forward/striker. Nani and Valencia complement WayneRooney brilliantly – fast, direct, and bags-of-tricks. That’s the way I like to see TheLads play.
I figure that LittleMikey and Macheda provide good back-up for WayneRooney – who else but a kid and a veteran would tolerate sitting while Rooney is always going to be first-choice ? Obertan has loads of potential to provide quality back-up behind Nani and Valencia. And there are loads of youngsters who seem promising, too – Danny Welbeck, Mame Biram Diouf, Josh King, Will Keane, and Ravel Morrison (in no particular order).
The key to next season – just like this season – is luck with injuries. Stuff happens but it’s particularly difficult to deal with injuries to important players in SqueakyBumTime – wasn’t WayneRooney’s turned ankle in Munich more of an issue than the massive injury crisis in defence ? There’s just no way to control the timing or severity of injuries – just like there’s no way to control the outrageously bad refereeing; one can only hope that these things even themselves out but, somehow, I don’t think that they do.
Anyhow, Nani has been just great in the final four months of this season. And, he’s great fun to watch, too.
picture the scene…
It’s the world cup semi finals, England v Portugal. It goes to extra time. 120th minute, Nani takes a tumble in the box. Penalty to Portugal! GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!
England are out!
Then in the 2010/11 campaign, all the fans boo Nani, he plays his best season ever and becomes a world star, helping United to become champions of England and champions of Europe!
Beckham, Ronaldo… Nani?
@Mannings
You can rest assured of one thing: By the time the World Cup will be over and England will have blown it as usual, somehow, someway, a United player will be blamed about it.
I have alot of Morals Laddie. Like I’ve said before I respect the right to protest and all Utd fans are free to air their views. I don’t support it and thats my right, nothing to do with morals. Don’t want Utd owned by a consortium only takes one or two to fall out and Utd will be shagged’
As for the Next season thing You have to look to the Future and hope the team can bounce back so really can’t see anything wrong here.
@brisbanefan
I don’t think we need any of the players you mentioned.
In theory another world class striker would be nice BUT with 4-5-1 being the preferred formation do we really need one. Do we really want to spend 20, 30 or 40mill on a striker to sit beside Berba on the bench for 90% of the games. In Berba we have a great player whose only issue atm is confidence and pressure to prove himself. Owen can do a job and did so at times this season. He just didn’t get enough playing time which I think may have been part of the reason for his injury which cost us badly (Wembley is a shit playing surface and he had very little football in the months before then so its was always going to be tough on his body) and then you have Kiko who really is a star in the making and Diouf and Welbeck both of whom show signs of potentially be great. And then the Mexican lad and some of the Reserves and Academy players look good.
I’m just not sure what would be the point of another striker unless we are going to let 3 or 4 of Berba, Owen, Kiko, Diouf and Welbeck go (Perhaps on loan)
Defensive Midfield. Fletcher and Hargreaves are both top class there. Anderson hasn’t done bad there at times either and Carrick until this season always did a good job there and I think 1 below par season is a bit early to completely write him off. Obviously Hargreaves is the big question here but unless he really can’t play at the level any more I don’t think theres a massive need for a defensive player
Creative Midfielder. Is creativity really a problem in our team? Its not been the creativity missing but the players to take advantage of this creativity
What we need imho more than anything is an Attacking Central midfielder, a player to do what Scholes used to do for us. A player who gets into the box and gets chances and scores chances. Anderson should be able to do this job but for number of reasons hasn’t yet.All too often in the 4-5-1 setup that’s been the issue, the midfield has no player who naturally breaks forward from the centre and the gap between Attack and Midfield gets too big
We also potentially need a Left Winger. Giggs is really past being able to play there and Nani is better on the right and Park is more defensive. We need Valencia, Nani, Park and one more. Obertan is someone many will bring up but atm he just doesn’t look like he is ready/ In some ways I would like Tosic to be given a chances as hes done pretty well in Germany but I suspect he will be off so we need the 4th winger to give us the options.
With a 28 man squad having to be declared by Transfer deadline day and only these people being allowed to be used then I think either 1 who can play both roles or maybe 1 of each with a couple of players going out is all we really need
@Mannings – I’m looking forward to “Lionheart JT” and co getting knocked out of the World Cup and I sincerely hope it’s a United player who puts them to the sword, just like Ronnie did in 2006.

Another decent game from Nani, hit the ground running next season and show the form you’re capable of.
The lad really ralied the troops today… I really though that we saw a capitain in the making today. He’s a long way to go, but the way he has played and talked the second half of the season, plus the brains to command the game he showed today are what you’d expect from a true red and a potential legend.
Fred – well lets see if date rape team chelsea do when a far better united team return because lets face it chelsea won the league by default
because when there is 1 point in it that says to me there is more than meets the eye with this league table especially when we were robbed totaly at stamford bridge, what maradonna did to england is exactly what the officals did to united at stamford bridge
Actually guys I’m looking forward to Rio lifting the World Cup. Although It Wouldn’t be the same if a Utd player didn’t get the Blame for England falling short.
Wakey – Don’t agree, we’re a striker light imo and the point was proven when Rooney got injured.
james21 – even though ferdinand and rooney are there I will never support england while terry cole and gerrard there, I have always hated gerrard but I will never ever forgive gerrard for his disgraceful performence against chelsea a complete disgrace. I hope he is enjoying his 12 pieces of silver he got for throwing the game
willierednut – it struck me you saying we are light on strikers, paul parker saying we need goals from midfield and many think nani is best on the right. It struck me just now could tosic be the answer to getting those extra goals if nani rooney valencia are having dry patches in a game he could be that playmaker we have been searching for who is allready on our books, he offers a spark that maybe needed and he is a letf sided wide player that many feel park nani valencia are all right sided players. giggs may have 1 or even 2 seasons left lets give tosic a go
Ignoring all previous posts not out of rudeness boys, trust that. You mate are my idol, just so United and in my humble opinion gonna displace Ronaldo, and so looking forward to see you in the World cup and Star and take our Club forward. When someone says a cut above the rest, Nani is this cut, class magic,, art with a football is not learnt, its a God given right, you Mr have it.
Cmon Portugal, on on on, anyways i got a fiver to get to the quarters!
Another fiver IN Fred Done’s pocket eh Fred! gambler
RTNK – I’m not sure about Tosic mate, if the boss brings him back, then i’m sure he’ll use him. He has always looked lightweight to me, maybe the German league suits him better, as i’ve said before, it’ll be an interesting summer, with 2 or 3 players likely to leave.
Anyone have a YouTube of the lap of honour that works?
willierednut – maybe you never know, since many posters on here I am suprised seem now dead against buying anyone like we are fine upfront when someone said that our other strikers have got about 25 goals between them, and I thought hey paul parker said we should get more goals from midfield could tosic be a possible answer, he maybe small so was zola he is a gem in the wings waiting to be born and he could add the extra dimension out wide that our current wingers dont have a bot more goals out wide and he may save us a fortune because milner for my money is vastly over priced and overrated when tosic could do much better.
@RTNK
I’d love to see Scotland there its not the same without the Tartan Army.
see your point there, all horrible bastards.
I was in France in 98 and the atmosphere was electric after the whistle. I’d like to witness it in England.
@ Redscot
Fred Done is a Millionaire, he doesn’t need anymore so save your money mate.
james21 – also the media add to the cunts that is england hate the lot of them except the united players
RTNK I’ll never forgive the Media for what they did to Beckham, they turned the whole country against a young boy who made a mistake.
It made him a fantastic player though being booed with every touch.
I think this world cup is wide open, Brazil and Spain are the favourites, but by no means are unbeatable. I just wanna see our players do well and watch good football without the stress lol.
Rio to lift the world cup
Wayne to score the winner
That will be the summer antidote
: )
And no United player to get injured – however couldn’t care less about the rentboyz : )
@willierednut
But look at the situation when Rooney got Injured.
- Owen had picked up his Injury
- Kiko was still coming back from Injury
- Diouf was injured
- Welbeck was injured (and would have been out on loan)
That left us with Berba who himself had been carrying an injury all season as fit strikers. For much of the season when we were playing Rooney up on his own we had atleast 4 or 5 fit strikers to fill that 1 place. It would be like saying we didn’t have enough centre backs due to having to play Carrick and Fletcher there but that’s not accurate as we are usually covered very well there.
And which top striker is going to be happy sitting on the Bench which you have to feel they would do (Not to mention most top strikers would see Rooney have to revert back to the deep lying striker if we played 2 up which would be the wrong move. Its the main reason that Owen didn’t get more game time as it was Rooney or Owen as the striker to play furthest forward)
@ james the bugger is in the detail eh, not a dating agency!, some one that reads each other’s posts its so helpfull on a message board blog, ohhh I like him, but i dont like her/him
I am bored, and drunk an sad.
to
Who the fuck gives a sane response to a serious issue to a key intergral call of the club at midnight. wakey yer a dreamer. Did I say trapped! ?
Some people act like idiots to induce the smart cunts
@willierednut
“it’ll be an interesting summer, with 2 or 3 players likely to leave.”
Its going to be more than 2 or 3. What people keep forgetting is next season all EPL clubs are restricted to 28 nominated players over the age of 21 like you are in the Champions League.
United are around 5 senior players above that already for next season and there is no point having players that you can’t play hanging around. I would expect maybe
- 1 of the keepers to go out on either loan or sold (maybe both if another keeper is bought)
- Gibson, Obertan, Tosic and Diouf to probally go on loan or maybe sold (Welbeck may as well but he doesn’t count as hes under 21)
I am actually surprised one of Giggs, Neville and Scholes wasn’t moved to a non-playing role due to the rules to allow for a signing.
Anyone else leaving will almost certainly only happen if a replacement is agreed first . So the Carricks and Berbas will still be around unless a top player is signed in their role and there is no-one else who can be moved out to create a squad place
Well wakey we wait with open breath save us
more hoss shite its already been typed
Novelty is the mother of invetion wakey, try it
Come on Wakey waiting for you to secure our future, lol it aint so easy is it, get the Glazer out and rebuild. its a rebuild. as sad as that is to the fans me and you, we gotta go back to basics!
as long as i stopped it cheer leading for glazer. lmao, you endorse the rich robbing the poor?
@ willie fuck off with yer Violins, not as smart as the lad typing, Anal commnent, true Ger
One last thing on this post, Nani i believe in my heart you are deliveriance from above to replace…. the nameless, who aborted and deviated.
Believe its ours next season. Wash the mucky cup doon and pit in rightfull owners.
Niters all.
Watched the game on TV and can’t help noticing that maybe the Boss was feeling a bit gutted when Chelsea scored a couple. His expression looks as if his mind was wandering elsewhere. Maybe it was just me but I can’t help feel as if he’s trying to make up his mind whether it is time for him to go. Forget about Ronaldo, Beckham, Giggs or Cantona. Sir Alex is the Legend Maker. He has rebuilt and reshaped this team many times to continually challenge for honours. I hope that when he look in the dressing room and see the hunger in players such as Nani, it would rejuvenate him again and give him the desire to go on. Congrats to the lads for ending the season with a good win. And thank you Sir Alex, for all the success you have brought to this club. Here’s looking forward to next season.
Anyone think Cleverley will be able to slot into the AM role, particularly after his successful loan spell? Would rather see one of the reserves get a chance than dip into the transfer market, just a thought…
We wont win the title next year unless Fergie goes into to the market and buys some world class talent like Wazza said and not for young players
Good morning everybody – I’ve been away for a while. After the Bayern defeat, I got my unusual superstitious and felt I wa talking up too much, and made a promise to myself, that I would beat my United chest only when we won the PL (very stupid of me, I know….but sorry, couldnt help it)! OF course things didnt turn out the way I thought and now I am gutted with images of Terry, Cole and Drogba jumping up and down on TV. Makes me feel like puking all over the place.
But, if after all the injuries we had and all the refereeing help they got, if the best they can do is land up one pt. ahead of United, then I have to say I AM VERY VERY PROUD OF THE TEAM!!!! I am not sure what additons SAF will make to the squad, but I agree that the only thing needed is a minor tweak here and there. Ten things to do for next season:
1. Get long term VDS replacement
2. Give more chances to Rafael and Fabio
3. Get an attacking MF
4. Unleash Anderson
5. Get a back-up for Fletcher – can you imagine what our season would have been if HE got injured?
6. More chances to Kio, Diouf and Owen
7. Try Valencia down the middle for a few games – something tells me that he is going to be devastating
8. More chances to Obertan
9. Get one more class striker, and I don’t mean Berbatov!
10. Beat the living hell out of them all!!!!
And you know what, the thing that fills me with so much hope for next season is the look on Giggs’s and Neville’s faces as they walked off applauding the OT crowd. You could see the hunger in their eyes – that murderous, desparado look on their faces said it all. WE WILL NEVER DIE!!!
Time to buy Fergie!!!! We can’t keep depending on mediocre player like Gary, Park and Berba. A good right back, a playmaker and a striker is imperative to have to win both the CL and the League. Chelsea and the rest will also buy good players, so we need this deseprately…
gut wrenching to see those bastard blues put their grubby hands on OUR trophy. if it hurt me so much, im sure it must hurt the boys in the locker room a lot lot more. rest assured we’ll come back with a bang and hit the ground running to reclaim what is rightfully ours!!
the injury crisis slowed us down but it cud not stop us from coming within a whisker of taking the title.
ONE NATION, ONE RELIGION, ONE LIFE TO BE A RED
GLORY GLORY MAN UTD
united4ever- “mediocre players like Gary, Park and Berba.”?
Berba I’ll leave out because I don’t wanna go into it, but Gary and Park?
Gary is a legend and he’s doing well.
Park is one of the most important players in our squad.
Oh Carlo are you listening..?
You better keep that trophy glistening…

unfortunately the access to this video was blocked.
badly need to watch it.
@Corea
Sorry, I guess the Premier League blocked it.
It was from MUTV. I guess we will have to wait for fans’ videos from the lap of honour.
at The boogeyman: I know that Gary is a legend and will always be one. Gary has been great for us over the years, but he is not the player he used to be. Alex keeps pushing him ahead of others. Look at maicon man; now that’s a right back! As for park, he is a good bench player, who has the drive but not the quality that we need to beat chelski and Barca.
Hope we do win it next year
The thing is the premier league race will be wider in the coming years with city,spurs coming into the equation. It will be more exciting than the 2 horse race we are used to having every year
Congrats to chelsea. Deserved winners although we threw somegifts that came our way. They did prove SAF wrong when he said at the start of the season they were too old.
@united4ever
Yes Park may just be a good squad player, but that is in itself important. To suggest that we dump him is ridiculous, and goes to show how much you know about the game. And as for Neville, in case you didn’t notice, even when the game was up yesterday, he was still full of running until the last minute, the spirit he showed is something that needs to be passed down. In fact, Nevile possess the only thing that Rafael needs to learn, and that is positioning. That said, he could even teach Nani a few things about putting in a good cross
@Costas – good morning. i guess we just have to wait a couple of days. greedy bastards.
argh
btw today is the first day of 90 or so
@Corea
Atleast there is the world cup to look forward to. When it starts this will be put to one side and after that with all the transfer speculation and the pre season the pain of all this will gradually reduce and we can look forward to the next season
Got to agree with him on this one ! I havnt spoken to one UTD fan that fully expected to lift the Prem this season . Esp the games we were loosing etc . Its been a great achievement to challenge to the last day.Totally feel we will be back stronger next season . The pressure is on Chelsea to do it back to back ! Livershite are going to reap their own rewards in the middle order (great club my arse) Arsenal / Chiteh will challenge .
It will be interesting but there will be no loosing to Burnley 1st game etc . Fitness and Injury are the priorities for the back room lads .
Im confident we will Re-group and assault again in the UTD way …….
@Corea
Morning too. I think fan videos is our best chance unfortunately. I just hope that the uploader of that video didn’t get banned from youtube because he has plenty of good stuff.
@mhihrh – i think we’ll have plenty of transfer speculation DURING the WC

Of course i am going to watch some games and i think the country i will be supporting is Mexico
I used to have a soft spot for them during the 90s with Jorge Campos and some others.
But it’s fucking 3 months. Unbearable. Hate WC, EC and espescially fucking qualifiers with friendlies. ARGH!
@Corea
of course we will. It will also be entertaining because the media makes up some hilarious rumours that will never happen like van persie, torres last year. This year it maybe Zidane, figo etc. They can make up anything.
Not sure which country i will support. I live in India and they arent there so … . My money is on Brazil.
Everyone is currently feeling the same way you are but i assure you as the days go by we will get over this. to be honest i was preparing for this the day we drew at blackburn. i knew then we werent going to win the league then even though the city game added some life back into the title race with the experience chelsea have unlike arsenal and liverpool they werent going to throw this chance away.
@mhihrh – maybe we shouldn’t have beaten city in the final minutes.
just kidding. it was a memorable win.
but i guess in normal circumstances chelsea wouldn’t have beaten scousers.
let’s move on.
Despite the crippling injuries we had to our back five, we still finished a point behind the scum. If Chelsea were that good then they should have won it by a country mile. So looking at the outcome, we have to believe that next season if we have our strongest side out week in week out and stay injury free then we can win it back, regardless of what the other clubs spend over the summer. We need to tweak our squad that’s all – Rooney needs support no question.
@king
totaly agree, If no injuries we could have won the title possibly against blackburn or something.
What are the odds on an England – Portugal semi with nani getting Rooney sent off? Anyway, if he can keep up his form next year we might have a player who hopefully won’t be having wet dreams of a white shirt in 3 years time.
I pitty Rooney and our other playerss that will have to be in the same squad with scum like Terry and Gerrard.
Xyth
Second that. Would love to support rooney to go all the way in WC but the fact that those cunts will be in same team make me think again. Don’t give a damn about WC as long as our squad players back in one piece
You never know SAF might get some money to spend but then pigs may fly. In ordinary circumstances Giggs and Scholes for all their sterling service would be very much bit part players but the evidence suggest they will be needed a lot as we haven’t got the resources to replace them.
I fear for the future, this is exactly the pattern the glazers followed in the US, win the Superbowl and then spin spin spin to bleed the fans out of as much cash as possible, they aint going anywhere!
nani has been the most improved player in the premier league this season along side possibly malouda and i feel there is a lot more to come from the lad. he should have had 2 assists and a goal yesterday but was still motm
@@mattbw7
People always bring up the Buccs as an example but its simply not the same
The Buccs have NO history whatsoever. The buccs are more like Blackburn, a team with no history or pedigree who are really just a mid table club but who due to massive investment were able to win the title
They won the superbowl because the Glazers invested alot into them. They may not have won the Superbowl since BUT they have have made playoff since and have won their division since. Winning the superbowl isn’t easy and the NFL is actually setup to ensure its spread around
To win the Superbowl they also hindered themselves. Finding the right head coach was vital but that not only cost them millions but also draft picks for the next 3 seasons, draft picks are important in the NFL. Then the Head Coach started a war of words with the Team Manager. It would be like SAF and Gill arguing BUT WORSE as the Team Manager carries out some of the task that SAF does at United. This saw the Team Manager eventually resign. They also had issues with some of the players who got a bit big for their boots after winning the superbowl
Then you have the fans. They started to think of the team not as the middle of the road team they are but as being one of the top teams. The expectations were just way too high, while a division win or making the playoffs would be an achievement before now they considered it a failure and they started to turn.
And heres the main difference, the Buccs were not really a business investment for the Glazers, it was a passion project. When the fans turned they pulled back and like Abramovich is doing started trying to atleast get some of their investment back. They also started diverting the money they were spending elsewhere into, for example into buying United which had a business reason for doing so. I suspect if the fans hadn’t turned on them they wouldn’t have bought United and would have continued to throw money at the Buccs
Wow. What has happened to this lad? He was superb again yesterday. When he gets the ball now there is a general excitement in the stands, people get up on thier feet. No stopping him now. Well done Nani.
We have the best left back in the world in Patrice, therefore, if you want more outings for Fabio then move Patrice to attacking left side midfield – think he would be perfect
@King Eric
I think it helps that he is getting a run in the team. Rotation is great at keeping players fresh but I think at times it can be hindrance as players never get a chance to find their place in the team and the team doesn’t get to gel as a unit. Theres a few players in our squad such as Anderson who I think would have the ability to do what Nani has done if they got a run of games
I just plainly wish the only benefit from our “defeat” of this season failing to grab the title, is Fergie will realise he can’t rely on Berbatov and this team without Rooney alone…
Please give the team some additions… useful impact additions please…
LittleRedAnt @ 13:26: “We have the best left back in the world in Patrice, therefore, if you want more outings for Fabio then move Patrice to attacking left side midfield – think he would be perfect”
IF Fabio is even better than Rafael, as we were told when their signings were announced, then that would not only make perfect sense but it would also make it possible to move Nani to an “attacking midfield” role which would be the equivalent of killing-two-birds-with-one-stone. In a 4-2-3-1 then WayneRooney would lead the line and be backed up by Evra, Nani, Valencia. That would be dynamic.
well said Wakey – Anderson dominated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and was left out for the next match… he needs a solid run of games and mark my words, he will come good – Nani is case in point.
@Muggaz
Its been the same with Rafael at times too, he can have a great game on the whole yet he will find himself out of the team in the next game. Admittedly on a few occasions while playing great he has made a significant mistake as well which may contribute to getting dropped but personally I think he is another who needs a run in the team next season.
We could also say Berba falls into that group (and hey Owen too, he scores a hattrick and is barely seen for the next couple of months) and I think that may add to his ‘issues’ in front of goal recently. In the run in he played pretty well apart from getting goals and when you look at the chances you see a player who over the season has lost confidence due to being dropped no matter how well he played throughout the season and who now not only has the media and opposing fans on his back but also some of the united fans. Strikers score goals when they are confident, when they aren’t and are trying to prove a point they snatch at things and as such don’t get the luck (Look at how often strikers go on long runs of not scoring and then get a couple and cant stop scoring.
Don’t see why people can’t get behind England in the tournaments. I am a United fan, I am an England fan. Being an England fan doesn’t make me any less of a United fan. Hearing people say things like they can’t wait for England to go out of the WC really pisses me off, unless those people are not English of course in which case fair dos, but all the English England haters, where will you be if the unthinkable happens and England actually do quite well? At home praying they lose or screaming at the telly cheering them on?
For one month every 2 years (if we qualify!), just get over it and get behind the team for fucks sake.
Sat waiting for the ‘you’re not a proper united fan bullshit” to come flying now..
But next time we will!!
redscot said, willie fuck off with yer violins, not as smart as the lad typing, anal comment, true ger.
First bit of your comment, it’s banter mate, dont get so fucking bitchy, thats a female trait. Second bit, you’re smarter than me, over the moon for ya. Last bit, i wouldn’t say i’m true ger, there my team in Scotland, United is my first love. Hope i cleared that up pal , no hard feelings.
A lot of opinions and views about nani, but i get the feeling from this lad that he’s truly planting he’s feet firmly on OT, i can’t understand where i’m getting the feeling from he just feels like he means business now, i saw him telling Rooney and Berbatov off when we played Stoke on sunday and i’ve never feltmore proud of him that day. He’ll only get better, hes going to the World Cup and he looks like he want to play football. Thats the spirit indeed
Next season looking very good indeed with the same core of players – Nani, Rooney, Evra, Fletch, Valencia, Vidic, Rio, VdS. The biggest fun will be seeing “new signings” Cleverley, Hargreaves and Hernandez, with continued maturity in Rafael, Kiko, Diouf, Anderson. Final hand-over season for Nev, Giggs and Scholes. New signings? Not really necessary. Cleverley will be Scholes’ apprentice – he could be the big surprise of next season.

‘You’re not a proper Utd fan’
Just kidding mate
I always get behind England, be it Cricket (Just watching 20/20) Rugby or Football etc
I don’t boo Gerrard Cole or Terry. We are the same team even if they are horrible Bastards.
As I said yesterday I’d love to see England win having witnessed the France 98 Celebrations
So I wait and wait with Patience.
I don’t bother too much about Friendlies though just because of the amount of different players they use. Sometimes after Half time its like a different team which can kill a good game. In the Programme yesterday Jimmy Greenoff said ‘I felt Sven Goran Eriksson devalued England caps by handing too many out. I totally agree with him. Jimmy and Me could have got one under Sven.

I thought that Tom Cleverley was a winger, not a central midfielder. I’d like to be wrong about that because an “offensive” midfielder would be a great addition to the team – but I still have high hopes that Anderson will turn a corner in much the same way that Nani did in the new year.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Anderson’s game – that wide arse and low-center of gravity make him able to hold onto – or take – the ball in “scrums”. He’s very strong, deceptively fast and has been played out of position for three years ! He was an attacking midfielder at Porto but SAF has used him as a ball-winner and it’s a credit to his versatility that he has been able to shit on Fabregas and StevieMee in that role.
Free Anderson ! Let’s see him play his “natural game”, ahead of Fletcherinho and Owen Hargreaves (or someone who can do the Hargreaves-role). With those three in midfield, and Nani, Valencia and Wayne Rooney playing in forward-attack then I think that we’ll see an even better offensive performance than the 86-goals that TheLads scored this year. And, lots of intricate interchanging, too – like the whirligig days of 2007/8 when Ronaldo/Rooney/Tevez ran riot.

WTF Are you talking about. Its like the philosophy of the Great Rab C Nesbitt but all mixed up. LOL.
denton – Hello mate. Regarding Anderson Fergie said yesterday that he considers Ando to be Scholes’s replacement as he can pass the ball , has great composure and can control the middle of the park. Big words indeed , I sincerely hope he is right. The kid needs a run of games a la Nani.
As for Tom he can play on the wing or central.
King Eric @ 11:02: “I sincerely hope he is right. The kid needs a run of games a la Nani.”
I thought that SAF said that about Anderson a few years ago – when he was signed. Oddly, since his signing, SAF has played Anderson anywhere and everywhere BUT in the Scholes-position !
I do agree completely that Anderson – like Nani – has not benefitted from Fergy’s tinkering. I think that what we have seen from Nani since the new year has been a massive growth in confidence stemming from his knowledge that he’s going to be playing the next game whether or not he makes mistakes.
There is a fine (and tricky) line between “tinkering” and playing the first-team. Some guys – VDS, Evra, Rio, Vidic, Fletcherinho, Valencia and Rooney – seem to be dead-certs to play whenever they are fit. That’s 7/11; so the “tinkering” really only relates to four positions. I know it’s a long season but I think that it would be beneficial for Anderson to have the confidence of knowing that he will play most of the games – rather than being shifted in and out of the first team in order to accommodate Giggs/Scholes/Carrick.
I also know that it’s a cliche to say that Anderson coming back strong would be “like a new signing” BUT that doesn’t make it any less true. Hell, if Anderson could come back strong from his injury then it will be better than a new signing because we know how good he can be – shitting on Fabregas and Gerrard, and so on.
I had huge expectations for both Nani and Anderson – Nani has, since the turn of the new year, proved his ability; now it’s time for Anderson to show us what he’s got. And, what he’s got is a big arse and terrific balance, a tremendous level of skill, and great strength. Like Darren Fletcherinho (football genius), Anderson is an absolute tiger on the ball – and a terrier in getting it back. No matter what others say about wanting an “attacking midfielder” like Luka Modric or David Silva, what I want for next year is to see Anderson come back strong and to show us what he’s got.
I haven’t seen much of David Silva but from what I’ve seen of Luka Modric he flatters to deceive – like the smurfs at TheArse, he’s just too lightweight and seems to lack “bottle” in the midfield fight. I want to see midfielders who can win the ball AND pass it forwards (and that means I’m looking at you, Michael Carrick !).
