  14. LoneStarRed says:

The Reserves news is very encouraging, especially Fletcher. We have a long way to go yet and things look to be shaping up nicely behind the scenes.

Wayne Rooney (@WayneRooney) on twitter abt his transfer nxt season :
Read the nonsense in the papers and heard what people have to say.absolute rubbish.

  16. LoneStarRed says:

@DaSilva twins- I too am absolutely thrilled about Evans’ return. His inclusion allows Carrick to go to his natural position and that is a VERY good thing.

I was thinking the other day that the many who disparaged Carrick seem to have ghosted away.

  17. Colbert says:

Is Henriquez on the bench then?

  18. Proverb says:

    Tweet from @WayneRooney
@WayneRooney: Read the nonsense in the papers and heard what people have to say.absolute rubbish. #heartostay

Then followed up by saying: ‘here’ sorry

    Was rectifying the #heartostay

    spell check killing him, apparently

  29. Proverb says:

Manchester united are planning to open their official twitter account

  30. Djunfitforwork says:

I think Carrick had done ok in defence. Obv marking Fellani was a task to far -but he has put in a lot of good tackles and his positioning has been good. For that reason -he might be kept in the side esp away from home -even if Evans is fit to start.

On Dembele -would have been a good squad player but not a shoe-in to start most games (imho). Of the two midfielders who have done well against us -Felanni would surely be the better bet -as we are so average at corners (both attacking and defending).

  31. Manuknighted says:

I still feel the reason united didn’t purchase dembele is becos he still have a soft spot for fletcher there. Anyway there is still Carrick there….but Fletch is coming along

  32. calebkzh says:

Good to see Tunnicliffe and Powell getting their minutes.

  33. abubakar iya girei says:

2-1 to united..Buttner,according to report, look promising.Evans look likely to start on sunday. What an ease on the defence!M. Carrick will surely get back to the midfield.Gosh!!!don’t wanna see the chemistry of TC and Ando disrupted..Watching them play together is a beauty to behold.

  34. RedBorneo says:

I want to see Wotton on the pitch against Soton .He much better than carrick and Fergie must give him chance to prove it..

  35. UTDSeven says:

Str, have we signed angelo henriquez?

  36. Andrew says:

I think Angelo Henriquez and Nick Powell are good signings for the future but I wonder how much football they will play. I do think Rooney is going to be used differently now in terms of a more withdrawn wider position alongside Kagawa, but we are still only playing one striker. We have Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez. We have a lot of attacking talent when everyone is fit. I would say that even in the League Cup and FA Cup we need to be playing Hernandez and Welbeck. They are both young and they need to get as much football as possible.

Powell is going to be used in midfield, but surprisingly that even with so much shouting for a new signing, we have a lot of options in that position. If we have no injuries we can call upon Carrick, Cleverley, Anderson, Scholes, Giggs and when fit again Fletcher. Angelo Henriquez is a striker and he will have even more difficulty getting any action. I was surprised that we didn’t sign him and then loan him back to his club in Chile for 12 months. Alexis Sanchez went through a similar development plan when he was signed by Udinese. They kept him in Chile and then loaned him to River Plate before bringing him to Italy when he was ready to compete for a first team spot.

  37. Daniel963 says:

when is angelo henriquez going to be officially a manunited player
