I actually loved the skit and practically pissed myself laughing, though I have the advatage of never having seen the prior usage of the footage. Very clever, regardless.

Duudelove I hope you are right. I have calmed down over this situation and apperently today he has got in contact with United to say he will be reporting back for pre season training. I just lost it over the situation because I couldnt understand what there was to decide for Ronaldo when hes got a contract and hes loved at the club. I defended the bloke so much after the world cup like all United fans did. I really hope he stays. As for that person slagginf of Nani they really dont know what there talking about. Hes got loads of potential and hes got a hammer of a right foot. He also had to score our 5th penalty in the shootout in Moscow to keep us in it, alot of pressure and he didnt let us down, I think Nani deserves some time and who knows how good he can get

Ronaldo turned 21 during the 2005-2006 season. Was he really starting to set the Premiership alight? He had been here three years by that point, as our starting winger. He had no competition for his place.

It's stupid to try and compare that to Nani, who has been here for just one season and has been behind Giggs and Park in pecking order for most of the season.

Put it this way, was Ronaldo scoring great goals against Liverpool and Arsenal in his first season? Were we seeing goals like those against Boro and Spurs?

Ronaldo had 4 years of starting football before his incredible season. But we don't have time for Nani? Rubbish.

the thing that everyone seems to forget is that when ronaldo first came to united he was 18, just a teenager.

nani is 21, his development is alarming considering at 21 ronaldo was starting to set the premiership alight..

Nani, has his positives, his final ball is far better than ronaldo at that age, but he lacks any real sense of decision making which although will come with time, is something we dont have

I have a theory..

A theory of what might be going on inside Ronaldo's mind. I've tried to come up with something fresh and different to what has been speculated about already. So this is how i see it and i'll keep it short....(ish)

Ronaldo doesn't want to leave yet.

Llife is/was very comfortable for him at United after winning the double and scoring so many goals. He has won everything there is to win at United.

Remember the determination and sheer will to silence the boos from away fans following the world cup? That drive and desire to prove everyone wrong made him an unstoppable force!

He may be afraid that after reaching the summit, that he might become a little complacent and lose some of that hunger just like Ronaldinho.

Cristiano was bullied as a child and i believe that experience made him into the type of man he is today that feels like he always has to prove his self-worth and answer critics. It seems like he thrives on it. He has tried so hard all his life to please everyone and be loved and now that he has achieved it, there may be an empty feeling?

Which brings me back to my point...

I have a funny feeling that Ronaldo has purposely tried to turn us United fans against him just so he can win us back again! And i believe that in doing so, he will become an even better player!

Maybe not, but stranger things have happened in the past, i just think we should have some faith in the boy and not get so wound up!
