@seanmc26 – I have to agree with you on backroom staff as well – Micky Phelan is definitely not Asst. Manager material – or at least doesn’t strike me as that. I don’t know where and how he contributes in management, but I always thought his post-match interviews lacked the sort of clarity that you would expect from an asst. manager. I was seriously hoping for a quality replacement for CQ – obviously SAF didn’t think that was needed. And I think we’re paying for that during this crunch period.

Maheshh; i agree with you 100%
i dont think young players take seriously some1 who might not be in the team nxt week give ronnie a try could do wonders 4 him or even Rooney I’ve always said he’s our future captain he has the win at all cost attitude just like Keano who could be a hot head too as we all know.
Too much sentiment been breathed in in that dressing room where has SAF ruttless side gone .

Really dont know where to start. Fact is the whole team looked mentally tired. I cant imagine Park who was rested on Sunday being so abysmal. He was absolutely poor in evry aspect. I think its about time Fergy started using the young lads. Carrick was no where to be seen. Fletch was doing all the work. Am I the only one who think that its time tobring on Possebon and fabio? maybe against Sunderland on Saturday.

seanmc26- following up on what you said I also think club captain has to be someone who is likely to play in most games, if fit. I don’t agree with Nev and Giggs being the captain on the pitch when they don’t play enough. Just as a thought experiment, I wonder what giving the captain’s armband to ronnie will do to his attitude. I always think while watching him for portugal, that as captain he seems to make a conscious effort to act mature…

Your right, JOS isn’t the problem, the whole team is going through an awful run at the minute. But while the rest of the team can find form and perform to a very high standard we have some passengers in the team. Park and JOS starting a champions league quarter final for the defending champions is a sad sight in my opinion. What does Park give besides effort? He poses little or no attacking threat, although he does allow us to play a certain system by his industry, I’m sure we can find a more talented player for the role.

Last season we were lucky. we’ve won the double. we kept all the players and have bought Berba. We MUST have built on this. But we are not.
