I think Ronaldo’s mom was incredibly inconsiderate and selfish to publicly say she wants her son to play in Spain. What the hell is wrong with this woman?! What kind of mother puts her own wants ahead of what’s best for their children and what they want to do?

If I was Ronaldo I would’ve given her a piece of my mind and told her my dreams for my future are independent of hers.

typical madrid lure and we’re always the victim

i like ronaldo but hate her mum. she is the only reason of this happening.

however, if the price is 100million, my fren ‘mat eid’ said “let him go” and i thought of same thing.
bunch of goals, superior skills but what can we do? maybe move on with new player. Hagreaves can play on the right flank, aha, yes!

if ronaldo move to madrid and MU have new star like ramsey or whoever wearing no.7, then guess what:

1. ronaldo will repeat what beckham said about him “who’s Ronaldo?”
2. real come with mega bucks again, how much do u think next time huh?

hahaha, but hopefully he stay.

if he went there he’d be a failure anyway. madrid would have to pay an astronomical transfer fee, along with his wages, this would heap so much pressure on him to perform, and i just don’t see him excelling in a team like madrid.

the reason he plays so well at united is because he’s given a free-hand to play how he wants, and is offered fantastic support by the rest of the team.
rooney ronaldo and tevez pretty much play wherever they like and link up beautifully. we have an exceptionally creative midfield, with players like carrick, anderson, hargreaves, etc. at madrid he’d be expected to do it all and straight away, with very little support.

i too don’t know what the pull of madrid is.
so they were awesome in the 50s, big deal. the game was totally different back then and barring their sporadic success in the late 90s/early noughties, they’ve achieved absolutely nothing of worth. what’s more real will never be able to compete with the likes of us long-term, as they’re a very short-sighted club.

so many professional footballers see madrid as the best club in the world, and i have absolutely no idea why. they’re shit. not only are they shit, they’re bland and fickle.

having said all that, his mum wants him to see him play for real before she dies - you can’t argue with that.

He is just being honest and i admire that. i’d rather he talk and let the fans know how he feels than not saying anything at all. You can see the relationship he has with the fans, team mates and manager week in week out. He owes this club his best footballing years and i have absolute faith he will leave when it suits all parties. He obviously isn’t affected by all this speculation so just leave him be…

whatever he says about liking united , he’s still not committed to the club . its hard to deal with a player who plays for your club and dreams about playing for another . its like demi moore marrying bruce willis and dreaming of ashton kutcher .
i’m getting tired of his incessant ‘whoring’ himself to la liga .
i wish someone would walk upto him and say this - cristiano we love and adore you , you are amazing week in week out . now how about you start returning the favour and loving us back!??!!……honestly i dont think its too much to be asking for .
this week we have seen rio and carlitos come out and say how much they love playing for the club and how they would like to commit themselves to its future . evra has said it in the past . rooney is undoubtedly a red to the core now . he even said he’d love to spend his whole career at united . so will someone please explain to me why oh why should ronaldo be given the license to talk rubbish like that . he may be technically better than the rest of those players but if he starts to believe that himself then i believe we will be facing another bighead crisis (just like beckham).
remember , we are fans of manchester united and cristiano ronaldo …..NOT JUST ronaldo . NO PLAYER IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB . its time SAF knocked some sense into him , if he’s past that then it would be in our best interest to say adios ronaldo , thanks for your service - you are not irreplaceable .

it all comes down to this - if he wants to go , would it be right for us to beg him to stay ?

Don’t think he will leave for Real Madrid yet. Two more seasons he would stay at United then leave. He wants to leave United when he has most experience around 26.
