RoM have received an e-mail from the fella who helps Paddy Crerand run his website.
After RoM interviewed Paddy earlier this year, Giles Oakley recently wrote an article on him, which he has read and was very impressed with.
Paddy has asked me to pass on his regards to Giles and he thought the article was fantastic. To be honest, Paddy is quite humble about these things and so he won’t shout from the rooftops about his achievements. That said he was really pleased to read the article and commented on how it’s nice to know he has some loyal fans out there supporting him.

Man Utd News 24/7

Top man Giles.
Great interview of a great man, Paddy, a Red Legend
Next time he speaks to RoM, either GIles or Scott, you have to ask him about punching Alan Green. Paddy Crerand = Legend
Top article written by a top bloke about a top bloke.

I had the privilege to sit down with Paddy while Manchester United were on the summer tour here in the States, and, in my personal opinion, I do not think that there is a better ambassador for the club.
He absolutely adores the club, and is willing to give his honest, red-tinted opinion about anything and everything United to anyone that will listen.
He loves to interact with supporters, but I have to say that it was amazing to see such a legend be able to walk through a crowd of half-committed United fans completely unnoticed.
Wow, to say I’m delighted would be the understatement of the season. I am so pleased Paddy liked the piece I wrote, and a little relieved, as you never know how how people will react when you write about them. It’ll be obvious to anyone who reads it that Paddy is one of my all-time favourite players, as a footballer and as a man, and I’m glad if it’s helped convey how much he’s valued. Thanks a million Scott, first for giving me space to write about whatever I like and then for passing on Paddy’s reaction, and for putting it up on the site.
Well done Giles, I always enjoy reading your articles on RoM. It gives our season much needed context and grounding, especially cosidering the changes to the game over the years. Passing on our Club history is much appreciated mate, especially for those of us who weren’t there to witness it first hand.
I was born after Crerand hung up his boots so his generation are legends to me, players I was only told about growing up. But it did bring a smile to my face the other day hearing Paddys reaction to Bebe’s goal
that was a quality moment for me, firstly because it really was something special from Bebe, but more because it was a candid moment shared with a great player who walked the same path before him. Long may the Manchester United tradition continue!
Hats off. And i really like Paddy’s commentary. It’s telling.
well done Mr.Giles Oakley…….i think all the people in here enjoy your comments .
A star** in our midst, but we all know this.Well done Mr Oakley.
Just superb for you, to get a great response like this, from one legend to another.
Well done Giles. I love Paddy !
I feel proud. For having a fellow fan as great as Giles Oakley, and a down-to-earth legend like Paddy.
To Giles oakley , n ofcource Paddy Crerand — R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
pretty emotional right now, moments like this is why I love and proud of our club, our legend n our fans like giles, scott and all fellow united fans @ ROM… as Paul said Long may the Manchester United tradition continue!

Feedback is always encouraging, especially from the person which the article wrote about.
Nice article about Paddy. I don’t know much United before 1990. I know about the players, but not the stories.
