Dutch paper, Omroep Gelderland, has printed pictures of Alexander Büttner with a Manchester United shirt after signing a five-year-deal with the club, although the official site has yet to confirm anything. He is set to be unveiled in front of the press on Friday.

Man Utd News 24/7

First.
Looks like he’s just bought a shirt in the megastore.
lol.
Brilliant!! should give Evra some much needed rest and competition!!
hopefully Fergie has snapped up another Gem of a player..
ajopaul – Fuck off.
Looks delighted.
Good. Now let’s never talk about Evra again.
Don’t expect to see Evra play again unless it’s a dire emergency. With Rafael in his proper position that signing straightens our back line. Now move up to the next line and we are at last balanced.
Welcome to the club son! Hope you bring loads of success to the club and personal success to yourself and your family!
Thats a lovely watch!!
Going to put Buttenr on me shirt!!!
Anyone else think the above photo looks a bit ought? Where is the photo with Fergie or at lease Gill?
No tweets from Nick Coppack or Gemma Thompson, no post on Manutd.com.
Why is this thing being kept so close to the chest?
Why haven’t we announced his signing yet?
If I was a paranoid man I’d say this is a media hoax
Hopefully this lad can defend !
@FletchTHEMAN
https://encyclopediadramatica.se/This_Looks_Shopped
the new Gaby Heinze!
Colbert… No need for that.
Step 1. Buy shirt at OT shop
Step 2. Take the OT tour
Step 3. Have mate snap a pic.
Step 4. Dupe Scott into putting on his blog?
Note: One can only hope step 4 takes a fair amount of doing.
Welcome Buttner. Glad to have you here. You might just be our most important signing this summer. STRAIGHT into the starting eleven please.
But whyyyyyyyyyy?
Büttner is a fantasist who is merely pretending to have signed for United? Certainly an interesting twist! He looks like an absolute nut, I must say. I wonder if he’s the guy who posts on here under about ten different names.
Banker???????????
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/news/article-2191342/Global-tycoon-George-Soros-buys-Manchester-United.html?ITO=1490
As usual, Andy Green has sorted the Soros purchase of United shares.
Soros investment group now owns around 1.9% of United, not the 7.85% reported earlier.
This is because he did not purchase B shares where most of United ownership is housed.
So figuring $14/share.
$14 x 3114588 (A shares owned by Soros) = $43,604,232.00 paid for such shares.
Multiplying in this value at 1.9% of the company, you get a total value of approx $2,294,959,578.95 !
Now than, Can one of these lads explain to us how all this $$$ can be had and nought for some fresh senior coverage for our beleaguered CB’s!
Here is the link to Andys analysis:
http://andersred.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/manchester-uniteds-shares-in-issue.html
Thanks Fletch
Bazaar signing?
Not that he is a left back, because we need cover there. But in, WHO FUCK IS HE ????
Hope this is another one of SAF classic under the radar signings again.
United! United!
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8007384/Pogba-denies-disrespect
Odd words and blatant disrespect.
So according to Pigba, he left united because they made promises he would play, but in reality he didn’t play nowhere near enough as expected. So he joined Juventus – who he says didn’t give him guarantees ! But unlike United they haven’t made a promise then break it.
Deflecting blame from his own side, he says he’s impatient therefore had to leave. Okay …surely nothing to do with the cash he and his agent pocket with a transfer.
Opportunities to play are even tougher at Juventus because their midfield has much more quality than ours…(Pirlo,Vidal,Marchisio,Isla,Kwado-asamoah).
Is that a good thing?? For MUFC??
: Paul Pogbahas spoken to L’Equipeabout his summer switch from United to Juventus. The Frenchman opted to head to Serie A and responded to Sir Alex’s frustration that he did not want to stay at Old Trafford.”There were things we did not agree on,” said Pogba. ”I do not regret anything. I learned a lot there but you must understand my decision. The coach trusted me but said I was too young. He said: ‘Your time will come’ but it was not coming. Despite his 25-year career, despite the fact he is the boss, my goal was to play. I do not know why he [Sir Alex] said that. A 19-year-old youngster says ‘no’ to Ferguson – maybe has a little trouble [with that]. But it will not change anything for me, I will not speak ill of Manchester. I love this club. The players and staff there know that I have not disrespected them.”
I hope Evra will be dropped.
How that guy still plays 90 minutes week in week out baffles me.
Heard he is no better than Evra at his worse, so if Evra gets back to his best this guy will be on the bench. It does seem strange that there is no official photograph although there is a pic of him wearing the training kit which looks like it was taken in a bathroom. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/alexander-buttner-has-passed-his-manchester-united-1270917 It would be funny if it was all a hoax, but there are pictures of him going in for a medical so I don’t think he is that much of a loony.
Something smelly about this Buttner ‘transfer’. All the quotes seem to be coming from the Butt..er..ner.
Butner wrote his contract, sign it and unveils himself..lol. But honestly it seems weird there is no official confirmation of this signing!!
united have signed at least two players and none have been unveiled, very strange. Welcome to the club.
Jay – LOL anyone can walk into the Bridgewater hospital, it proves nothing. Well played Büttner, best WUM ever.
Jay
Its starting to look like a bit of a wind up. Is this Fergie getting back at the press, calling in favours. I bloody hope so that would make my year.
Like you said. No official announcement on anything related to Buttner? If Im wrong please tell me otherwise. No one waiting outside the hospital and catching a glimpse of him going in and out of his medical. No press conference called? If you sign a player you dont wait 4 days to announce it to the press. Getting the press to come and take pictures helps Uniteds image, there is no benefit in waiting unless thats to piss off the press? lol. He buys a shirt, stands outside the entrance to the tour, gets a non professional to line up the camera, take a shite photo. Doesnt smile. No one shaking his hand not even the tea lady. Not recognised by anyone despite the circulating story. Shirt probably hasnt got his name on, wheres the official premier league badges on the shirt, you know, the ones the players get.
How long is this Buttners nose.
Büttner’s inspiration? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/1287152.stm
The name is actually pronounced “Bootner” and he has played for united yet and you’re already claiming he’s like evra at his worst? ROM amazes me.
Secondly, i hear pogba murmuring again. There’s no way he left united to play football, he’s facing a similar situation over there, he may not get games. When FERGIE said “Your time will come”, he probably meant this season but the twat packed off.
The only positive is the bloke in suit that walks in with him to the hospital does look like the same that has been photographed with some of our recent signings.
Goat – you gone all cynical, you’re making more out of this than it’s necessary. Maybe the manager is busy, unveiling players straight away is not really on his agenda. Needs to get players kicking on.
Welcome aboard kid.
Fred
Is there a bigger pic than that Id love to see it again
samuel – united WE stand
gone all cynical, is there another way lol. You must have led a sheltered life my friend.
No I dont know the lad, never seen him play. If hes genuine then good on him but it is starting to look fishy.
Robbo – elementary my dear. That man is quite clearly a doppelgänger.
What is so fishy there is a press conference Friday
Before anyone gets to excited that this Buttner deal is a hoax.
The first pic of the lad at Bridgewater for the medical was twitted 22hrs ago by United journo Craig Norwood. And that photo was taken by a journo that I have seen around.
But this signing think does seem off as I stated @11:30
The post and photo…..
@CraigNorwood
Alexander Büttner arrives at Bridgewater Hospital for his medical for Manchester United MUFC http://lockerz.com/s/236564642
Goat – look fishy? how?. He’s a dutch player, close to getting into their full team, Doubt he’d make a mug of himself and take pictures with a united shirt if the club hadn’t agreed to sign him.
i’m sure there’s an excuse as to why he hasn’t been officially unveiled. The manager is a busy man and he’s no robin VanPersie.
You depressing cunts are the kind of people that spread lies about Santa not being real.
Buttner is coming. I can feel it in my butt…I mean my bone.
George Soros another American what’s with the yanks and premier league, few years time all the owners will be Arabs and Americans
Fletch – did you actually see a journalist holding a camera with buttner holding the shirt? why would he want to make a clown of himself by holding a united shirt when clearly, he’s owned by vitesse? i’m confused.
Costas: Spot on. . . but the photo above is clearly at the start of the tour so very iffy stuff… fair play to those needing a bit of fun.
but it does make you wonder if Bebe wasn’t a hoax that the Club actually bought into ?!
Loosen up a little mate!
Live the Dream!
Suggesting this is a hoax is fucking silly, get off it
samuel – united WE stand
Samuel get off your horse man. Im taking the piss, look at everyone elses posts theyre all saying it seems a bit odd. just having a laugh. I havent got a clue what your local press, or sky news is saying as Im not there, just going on the feeling and winding people up.
wayne
In regards the Arabs or Yanks. Its good versus evil wayne, pick a side the premier league is the battle ground for the new war. Dont stand in the corner – pick a side – pick a side
@Fletch
You could be right about Bebe mate. Maybe someone at the club saw this and figured that we finally found ourselves a surviving Jedi.
https://si0.twimg.com/profile_images/2474099460/d5va59zxkfpevtsa904e.jpeg
We’ll see. Hopefully the whole thing will be clarified by Friday.
@Clint-Iamyourpapii
I don’t see how his comments were disrespectful.
As I’ve posted during the initial Pogba saga, I really think that we could have easily kept Pogba. I don’t believe it was a simple matter of money. He dragged out the decision in hopes of SAF actually showing him that he’s going to be a regular fist team midfielder by at least giving him more play time. When that didn’t happen, he packed his bags. I know there were some posts at that time about his “bad attitude – thinking he has the right to be in the first team”. Well, I think that should SAF had shown him a tiny little bit more of the green vs letting Scholes play 90 minutes where he obviously has had enough at the 60 minute mark and us being let’s say 2:0 up showed Pogba that he’ll sit on the bench for at least another season, and then we’ll see how things go. No wonder he packed up then.
Ok Fred, what is a doppelganger?
He was the 1,000 person to visit the megastore that day, so he gets a new gingham top.
Hate to put a downer on this signing but the guy isn’t rated in Holland in fact the Pundits in Holland are still in a state of shock when they heard he was signing for United as they see him as average and no where near the same level as Evra. Not sure why United didn’t go for Baines. His crosses are just unreal and the guy can take a freekick or 2.
Lets all hope Fergie can see something that no-one else can with Buttner. Good Luck to the guy.
Wayne …… Just havin fun….. the photo is clearly strange for this type of thing. Go on then?!
You love havin the dig yourselfmate:
George Soros:
Born Budapest, Hungary
Citizenship United States
Alma mater London School of Economics via wiki.
Seems like anyone can claim old Georgie in the end.
Calling Soros American is like worrying about where Richard Branson is stashing his billions ATM. They could live anywhere…. and do.
Goat – fair enough. All i’m saying is, if it was a hoax then an already superstar player would be used, maybe xavi or something. Buttner seems the type of lowkey and low budget signing FERGIE would make.
Fletch, fair enough mate wasn’t having a dig at you, just thought it was getting silly.I was watching BBC business report they said he was an American businessman, that’s the only reason thought he was a Yank
You start to question anyone who basis his knowledge of the game around pundits. Oh, that cunt lawrenson doesn’t rate any united player and they therefore must be Shit. secondly, baines is another english player with a premium pricetag. 18million for a left back? to take free kicks? you must be joking.
Fiorentina want Dimitar Berbatov the bid is valued around £4.5million
Wayne, Cheers.
Think I’ll toddle off for a bit so as not to cause any more mischief. ta
Whats the point of Baines and his free kicks, Rooney wont let him take them and we have Van Persie and Young.
Why should pogba be promised anything? was paul scholes promised a first team place or did he get his head down, worked hard and showed the hunger and qualities required at united?
Pogba is another big timing cunt demanding a starting spot that culminates with increase in wages. United’s midfield isn’t fully brilliant, the likes of Giggs and scholes will leave, if he had any common sense, he’d wait to take their place but he got brainwashed by his own hype and his agent’s. He may well turn out to be a great player but united also have other youth capable of reaching those heights. What a load of crap.
juve are stockpiled with midfielders, i do not think he joined them based on just playing, another big time charlie. He did the same at his previous club, i guess what goes around comes around.
Sara
Huh and theres me thinking my luck was in with words of husband and the like.
It must be a bit dissapointing for Buttner if this is a genuine transfer and he doesnt get th etrumpets treatment as Sir Alex has let it be known in the past manyh a time how personal he is – man to man – and how he has welcomed even school boys into the fold. No player too small to get a greeting. How to feel like a fringe player 1.0
Bring on #20.. GGFU
Guess now the Museum Tour Pic makes sense…
The Vitesse Arnhem fullback trained with United this morning after undergoing a medical yesterday.
Dad Christian is with his son in Manchester and they were given a tour of Old Trafford and the club’s Carrington training complex.
“It was great to see and experience. We have not been to the match against Everton, because we just came from the stadium. These are busy days,” smiled Christian.
Buttner’s presentation as a United player is slated for Friday.

lol goat i think it’s because the boys were at Everton when he came in. He’ll get a proper welcoming on friday and at OT on Saturday trust me. Our fans appreciate EVERY SINGLE PLAYER who lands at this club. ( at least when the first come
)
So De Rossi won’t be joining City. Denton’s heart is back in its place!

Thank fuck for that. We could have been the BUTT of a lot of jokes.
Welcome buttner to the best club in the world
You came at the right time cause paddy has no much energy in his locker
Paddy was ridiculous last night to be frank
Our defensive lapses has been worsened by his lack of energy to attack and still keep his defensive side intact……
Good luck with the new forum lads, jeet if you want people to read your match analysis why not just copy and paste it
Daniele DeRossi reportedly has nixed a 30M deal at ManCity:
DeRossi: “I stay in Rome”!
Sir Alex always admired De Rorumored to have tried before. WorthAPunt? via ManUtd_RedArmy
ND58.
Jeet. A very balanced analysis of the match mate.
Just wanted to ask everyone what would have happened if Valencia and Carrick played in their proper positions instead of playing in the defense?? Would the result have been the same??
True that wayne!
As for this Buttner lad, if Sir Alex tells me he is one of the best young LB’s in Europe then I’ll take his word for it. I have never seen the lad play so I won’t comment on him. Welcome to Manchester United pal.
http://ballsybanter.com/2012/08/21/the-importance-of-a-midfield-powerhouse/
FUCK OFF COBHAM, YOU OBSESSIVE TROLL CUNT!
I just hope TonyBee does not get any ‘wind’ of this new signing…….If its true welcome aboard
ND58
Whether people agree or not with the concept of having a hard man ala Keano in the midfield you need some kind of physical presence to tell the opposition that you are there. It was depressing watching the likes of Cleverley, Kagawa and Scholes get shrugged off by Fellaini like flies. Would Fletcher have done any better?? Maybe. But we need a hard bastard in there when we play the likes of Everton, Stoke, etc who use physicality rather than technical finesse to beat opponents.
Afternoon shit cobblers… Hows it been? Back from Cyprus this morning and we have RvP, Henriquez, Buttner and a 1-0 defeat!! One thing that hasn’t changed though is having to field a makeshift back four?! Awesome!
Tried to get on that forum boys, haven’t been sent an activation code?!
Utd4life – i agree that in certain games in the premier league, a big presence in midfield would be good but he also has to be a great footballer. Can’t just put any donkey there because they’re ‘hard’. It says a lot about how poor technically a lot of teams are in the premier league, we’re more worried about stopping them physically than tactically
I mean we can all have a go at Evra, but last night he was the only one trying to create anything in the last 20 min. Although he is on the way down and was poor last season, he was trying his absolute hardest last night to create an opening. Nani and Young wouldn’t cross when they should have, and did when they shouldn’t; the ball was bouncing off Rooney’s shins constantly and RvP was out on the right wing for most of the time he was on.
Still, there’s a long way to go. I still think we’ll win it. We shall prevail.
I think if smalling had been fit fellaini wouldnt have caused so much havoc..
Samuel – that mean bastard i was talking about a few threads back needs to have a brain so as to avoid getting sent off. I still think we need one of those against teams like everton stoke blackburn etc..
De jong is available
Eric keane – agreed. Not many of those out there. De rossi will never join anyone and even if he did, he’d cost a bomb. Javi martinez is off to bayern, struggling to find anyone.
I know he probably isn’t ready but tunnicliffe is capable of being a powerhouse. The only player currently in the team with power and athleticsm is anderson, if can he step up.
Samuel. Yes, the Premier League consists of teams who rely more on physicality to beat teams unlike LaLiga. We need to have a squad that can counter any kind of opposition. We had such a squad in 98/99 and 07/08 and I am sure this squad will be right up there. However, pure technical brilliance is not enough when you face teams like Everton, Stoke, etc who will pummel you physically. Barca learnt this the hard way when they played Chelsea last season. Even with all their technical superiority and an extra man advantage they still couldn’t find a way through. Utd looked a lot like Arsenal yesterday with all the passing around the box, no penetration and getting bullied off the ball by Fellaini and Jelavic. In my opinion Fletcher was exactly the kind of player we needed yesterday. He along with Cleverley would have made a much better pairing than Cleverley and Scholes who are similar to each other. Another alternative would be to try Jones in midfield. Atleast the guy can tackle and give us some sort of a physical presence in the midfield. And I seem to remember he did quite well last season when he was paired alongside Carrick.
A tireless grafter, he has garnered a reputation of being a combative and feisty player in his performances, a reputation that has earned him nicknames such as “The Terrier” and “Lawnmower”.[3][3]
Samuel
You Seem to be missing the point of the “hard man”-well from my point of view anyway.
A hard man: the guy who is in the team solely for defensive duties, knows the best pass to play after retrievinf the ball. The notion he has to be built is nonsense but it does help if he is and in addition perform the defensive duties. Makekele was one of such . The flip side is a player like busquets-who I feel is vastly underated, but serves him well because he keeps coming up with the goods for Barcelona and Spain. You don’t see bastien-spelling or Alonso and xavi doing the slop work fo we? Yet that job is thrust to Carrick who imo is our Alonso/Xavi.
Even worse was asking tom c to take up that challenge yesterday. Madness. It’s the equivalent of asking iniesta to do the job
De Jong is a thug. Plain and simple. When I talk about a hard bastard I mean someone who knows how to tackle properly. Fletcher is not a hard bastard, far from it but the guy would get stuck in and harass the opposition into submission. Carrick does not get into tackles unless it’s necessary as he reads the game too well to plunge into unnecessary challenges. I was encouraged by Cleverley’s effort to get stuck in but the guy is still lighweight which is fine because I expect the guy partnering Cleverley to do the dirty work. My suggestion would be to deploy a combo of any of the following:
Cleverley-Fletcher
Cleverley-Carrick
Cleverley-Ando
But never play Cleverley and Scholes together because they are both similar physically and playing wise.
Get nzonzi from blackburn and we are sorted.
Yeah tom made a few interceptions and tackles last night, but he needs to bulk up if he’s going to assume the defensive duties
Imo, I don’t think he’s that sort of player, he plays best as a central or attacking MF
I’m more fond of a complete midfielder than a defensive one that doesn’t offer much else. Talk about busquets but he’s not a ‘hard man’, he’s tactically aware and reads the game.
I don’t mind a big physical presence in midfield but i want to see them also play football. A player like de rossi who is capable of mixing physical play and technique. People ask for players like this but none are available.
Samuel – agreed. I saw him play twice. He was quite good. If he improves his positional play he is a great prospect..
I also think that confusion with the formation more than the absence of a hardman.. Each time kagawa got the ball we looked threatening, but that moment the rest of our attackers were confused as to where to go..
At one point around the 53rd min we were playing 4-2-2-2. Now that for our team which relies on strong wing play was ridiculous. Valencia put in 3-4 dangerous balls and at that time rooney had dropped deep and welbeck was on the wing. These things are more important to deal with atm.
@Utd4life
Carrick could somewhat help in a physical sense, but he’s also not the answer to the problem. I’ve noticed a trend at Anfield games (one of the grounds we always get a challenged physically in the midfield area) in the post Keane era. Our worst performances have come everytime we’ve played Carrick and Scholes together in midfield. And that includes the 1-0 win with the O’Shea goal, a game which Liverpool dominated. The story in those games was the same more or less. Everytime Liverpool had possession, we were ball watching. Pretty much what we did last night. The only Anfield games where we managed to put up a fight? The 1-0 win when Hargreaved was paired up with (the then impressive) Anderson and the 1-1 draw last season when Phil Jones and Fletcher did a lot of dirty work.
And just to clarify, when talking about a physical presence in that midfield area, I am not talking about karate kicks or thugish tackles. Just someone that won’t get bullied around. Unfortunately, Fergie has deviated from that type of player more and more as years have gone by. And we’ve conceded more and more goals during that time.
Been telling yous all that we need a midfield general.clevs will neva cut it imo anderson should be sold be4teams realise he is not good otherwise another berb scenario.glazer should break bank even for someone like bomel.we are screwed guys in mid
Eric keane – The players are yet to gel, got a couple making their debuts. Add that to a disjointed defence and a strike force looking out of ideas, it was a recipe for a direct everton team to exploit. I still feel we’ll come good this season. Wing play is united’s style but we need to add variety, hence the purchase kagawa.
The physical presence in midfield is acknowledged but what top players in that mould who are also good technically are available?
Samuel – thats the thing. There’s no one available.. Fergie wont add just for the sake of having a body. Thats why i think he is relying on tunni and petrucci to come good.
Anderson has th physical presence also the ability, he is hampered by his unprofessionalism. I hope he steps up big time. I certainly dont think he is as bad as is made out to be bynsome on here..
Reds galore – im sorry to be rude, but you’re an idiot
Costas. I remember those games. L’pool bullied and harassed us physically and we just wilted under the pressure. Scholesy and Carrick should never be the 2 in a 4-4-2 formation. Scholesy simply does not have the legs to cover then entire midfield, atleast not for 90 minutes. It befuddles me as to why SAF persisted with him for 90 minutes. I would have taken him off, kept Cleverley on and reignited the Cleverley-Ando combo. But the fact is, like you said, we get bullied at a few grounds and if we don’t do something about it then teams are going to nick crucial points from us. Unfortunately, it has been happening for the past few years and we have not been able to rectify it.
Samuel. De Rossi, Schweinsteiger and Yaya Toure are probably the only players who fit that description. Unfortunately, the chances of even one of them coming to UTD is almost next to zero. We got overpowered and bullied in the midfield even when we had 5 midfielders (including Rooney) yesterday. I know this is just the first match but it was scary watching Everton carve our midfield and defense apart. I think part of that could be attributed to Carrick’s absence in the midfield.
Samuel – You still need a balance though. I love the likes of Scholes, Clevs and Kagawa. They love to play those intricate passes. Fergie is clearly trying something, that will take a while. I’d still like a CM who can win the ball back for the more creative players to do their stuff. Not so much in Europe, but the premiership is a different beast. You have to dig in at times. I’m not talking about De Jong either! Tiote would be my choice. He’s not a dirty player. He can put his foot in, when needed. A player of that type would compliment the creative side of things. Normally Fletcher is the player for this purpose. If we had him available, I would say we don’t need anyone, but his future in the game is still up in the air.
Good deal,evra can rest now!
we need a new CB NOWWWWWW
weirdest thing, people used to slam Carrick and shite but now he’s the thing we lacked in midfield against Everton, hm.
Carrick > entire England midfield
