its a fck you to citeh from fergie n wenger
Lol….piers Morgan abt to commit suicide
I have a bad feeling about this deal. One serious injury…plus we don’t need any more strikers. But seeing RVP in a UTD shirt will be fun. Anybody else feel this was an unnecessary deal?
Yup!
Won’t ever support a player again in life, simple. Arsenal….fuck its employees!
All that said, really looks like a great partnership two good strikers you got there.
Got a lot of respect for them to be honest. They’ve been ravaged and exploited by the Arabs at Citeh.
Still, delighted to take their Robin. I can see him being a big hit at United if he stays fit.
What’s the point of having great strikers when you have a pony midfield.oh well city to win the league again. Ferguson is losing the plot.
Yep – we need batman and you need a miracle he doesnt get crocked
Wouldnt crow too much lads- Remember that Rooney wanted off to City and you didnt find that so amusing.
Arsenal fan here. If Piers Morgan commits suicide then I would gladly see RvP leave for free and I’d also buy a Man Utd shirt with Van Persie on the back.
Who cares, he is here now
signing him is just good for us to reduce pressure on our midfielders. next should be jao mautino.
An investment for the future ??? With this investment maybe the shares sales will pickup a bit. after all that what matter most for mr Gill and his bosses.
He who laughs last laughs loudest, Manc fools!
Yet again Fergie spends over £20m on a player – no manager in the history of football has spent as much as him, buying success as usual. But you’ve just spent £24m on a injury-prone 29yr old. And he’ll NEVER go 2 seasons without injury, so enjoy paying those £200k wages whilst he sits out for 6 months.
Podolski and Giroud for £22m.
VanPersie for £24m
Who’s really laughing?
Your debt gets bigger and bigger.
And don’t forget – you won F*** All last season also.
5th at best this season. RVP – hilarious!!!
Next years chant will be deafening – All together now – “Wooooa Robin Robin – you went to ManUnited and you won F*** All!”
24 million for an injury prone 29 yr old who was bought for 2.75. CH CHING!
it is definitely not an unnecessarry deal….RVP is a world class striker who can easily give at least another 3-4 years of great service while we nurture our “little pea” and Angelo Henriquez…..even welbz for that matter….RVP can bridge the gap between now and then….but its not to say that all those three will not get games….they definitely will…but for now…RVP and Rooney will be it…and my sincere thoughts on this is that we need a strikeforce of that sort to send the shivers down our opponents who in recent times does not really seem to fear us anymore…even in our own backyard…this ought to send a stern message to them…
From all our rivals over the past 20 years, Arsenal are the only club who deserves respect..they played some fantastic football and deserved every title they had won. I really miss our great rivalry with Arsenal. Welcome to Manchester United RvP and good luck
Wow the Gooner trolls are out in full today. All this hate…sigh Thanks for Van United. cheers!!
He ll sell shirts that ll justify his fees. He ll keep the fans quiet for atleast a little while and he may get the stock prices to go up. (We may even win a trophy or something). All in all, win-win for fans, owners and even Arsenal to an extent.
Well played Glazers.
Great piece of business for United-Arsenal are finished- have joined the ranks of Villa-a feeder club who sells their only decent players to their rivals. Have lost all credibility. The Emirates will be up for sale by next year-and there will be no buyers!
@baz I seem to recall Arsenal fans singing that same song to Teddy Sheringham a few years back. Who had the last laugh then?
Baz’s comment
Arsenal’s transformation into Spurs is complete.
Baz, the bitterness is too obvious. It’s clear you’re gutted, mate. Seriously, don’t blame us. It’s City that have done the most harm to your club.
The United/Arsenal rivalry was , for me, the golden age of the premiership. I respect Arsenal a lot more than Chelsea and City. Then again, I guess you guys would prefer trophies over my respect.
Robin gone ? what a mess? this is a bad president for arsenal.why must we loose one or two of our star players every year? any way,Let Arsen Wenger now invest in at least two or three more quality players in defence and attack,or else we will go empty(without throphy) again.
hey baz…what the fuck is wrong with you…u sound so bitter..seriously…u sound like you just cant take it that RVP wants to join the biggest and the best club in the world….u r like a stray dog barking away in the night
Would have been a good signing if you had got him for 15mil guys, but 24mil i think we fleeced Fergie there. Seems a bit of a luxury signing to kill any sore feelings about Lucas Moura, one hell of a player you missed out on and was looking forward to seeing him in the Premiership and would have truly strengthened United.
RVP is a great player but can he do it again, your main concern shouldn’t be his fitness cause he does not put his body in risky situations like before. My worry if he stayed at Arsenal was his rapidly declining form at the end of the Premiership season. He just struggled to find his early season form not making the same runs behind the defense dropping deeper into midfield alla Torres and not having the same impact overall (aside from the goals). Then there was the euros where he lost the goals my main question was is Robin in decline?
Guess well find out soon enough!
If we all get honest about this the only way anyone will be able to evaluate this piece of business is at tbe end of the season. If RVP stays injury free gels quickly and helps Utd to win back epl and or cl then great deal. If Wengers new boys click and we win epl and or cl then good business. I wish RVP well and don’t wish him to get hurt but would be nice to see us finish the season better….
well said tk99 and ed…
@Baz ure comment is so stupid even if RVP does not turn out to be a good player for United, Man Utd have more then capable player to do the job…. Ask ureself when last did the Gunners win something that’s why RVP was in such a hurry 2 leave.
and Baz your a cock
Hey baz, fuck off, simply put…I’m an American who LUHG but this deal has helped our transfer reputation cuz Fergie got his dream target in the end…yeah, we’re flush with strikers but yu never pass on quality and some of those strikers prolly wnt be here much longer anyways.now only need cover for fletcher now he’s back…M’Vila maybe? LoL
hey there Real Gooner and Gunner James…wish you guys the best of luck for the coming season…
You too gingerassasin lets hope we show the buy it boys at chavski and citeh, missing the respectful rivalry us united and gooner fans had lets hope it returns this year. whats happened to the real fans a?
…Alex Song will be the next to leave, ouch!
The best rivalry is in premier league is man utd vs Arsenal
Both competed for 10 Ǥõõϑ yrs non- stop
During those time we have golden players and moment in both teams
They share trophies
They have Great standing managers…
#Respect for AFC
My sincere heartfelt and joyfull tear goes to all UNITED fans as we welcome RVP onboard
ONWARD~TOGETHER…
VICTORY~ACERTAIN
We’re~UNITED…
gunnerjames – too many plebs like Baz around giving your lot a bad name.
No prob with this transfer. If Arsenal sold RVP in 2010 for £15m no Gooner would’ve cared, so to sell him now on the back of one great season for £24m is good business for both of us probably.
But the crassness of this site to show those banners does what exactly?
Wenger remains the only manager not to have ‘bought’ the title. He took on ManU at your utter peak and spending a fraction of what Fergie did.
Your best never matched our best.
Enjoy RVP, he’s a top top player.
But show some class too.
spot on Baz the ony guy on ere talking sense
and i thought scousers were bitter!!!!
If Fergie manages to sell berba, macheda, evra and anderson in the next few days and get javi martinez and decent left back, then it will all make sense.
Remember, in 99 when we won the treble, we also had 4 renowned strikers (Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and soljskar) just like today. Now we have roo, rvp, little pea n welback.
Perhaps, we even don’t need martinez as we hv fletcher and cleverly. Cleverly is good. Roberto Martinez acknowled cleverly talents when he was at loan at wigan. Too bad, last season he was injured. But I really think we need to buy javi martinez so that the competition level in midfield will be maintained
JAYSUS 24 million pounds? this guy better smash in at least 40 goals next year. I guess this is the end of any hopes to get a midfielder in. We’ll be playing a 4-3-1-2 this year. Good luck RVP. Hopefully no more injuries it’s time to shut those arsenal mugs up one more time.
New found respect for Arsenal. Fuck you Ciddeh!
I will be more happy with the acquisition of RVP if we bought a solid midfielder. Would love to see Tiote at the club but that isnt gonna happen….
Honestly, I would have preferred Lawendosky (not sure about his name), younger, stronger, knows Kagawa’s moves…but RvP is welcome. Glad we didn’t sign Moura , over-rated crap.
Gooners here expressing their frustration is normal, we’d done the same if Roo had gone, maybe even worse. Get it out of your systems and as a bonus, RVP will be ‘injured’ on that Emirates trip?
RVP for Man U….wat an addition 2 the team. Bebartov must go to germany.
Yeah, the excitement aside (can’t pretend like am not) with that kind of money we could have afforded at least one decent central midfielder that we have been deprived of for a couple of seasons now..
@kc: Lewandowski?? really? he is average and we really dont need another young promising striker, we already have bundles of those. to get a striker of the quality of RVP for only £24m is amazing (yes its his last year of contract but if it wasnt he would have cost double) Hernandez and Welbeck are good but not good enough in most games (yet). we needed another world class striker to help rooney and we got it. now to sell berba. i do wish we could sign someone like M’Vila as well but i cant see it now
Arsenal fan here. It’s a weird signing for you guys. Doesn’t look the part of your squad that is lacking. But the new football world seems to be about “marquee” signings. Wenger likes to say that Arsenal don’t buy superstars; they make them. So that’s what you’ve got! We’ll be fine by the way. I just got back from Cologne, and I can help but predict that Cazorla will be the revelation of the season. Hopefully we’ll be neck-and-neck with you guys to the last days as the MC circus implodes. Vive la change!
Gooners and their delusions. Have you ever wondered why the likes of Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy, Toure, Adebayor and now RVP (and possibly Song)are all leaving your club?? It is because you guys have won fuck all for the last 7 years. Players want to win trophies because that’s how people remember them. You think anyone would give a rats ass about Ronaldo and Messi if they didn’t win trophies?? I don’t think so. The only reason why those players are so successful is because their clubs win trophies unlike Arse- Anal who have won, I repeat, jack shit for the past decade or so. Start by winning a trophy and then maybe, just maybe you can hang onto your players. Well, nothing comes cheap in todays world and if we had to spunk 24 mil to get him then so be it. However, it is a risky piece of business but I would much rather see the club invest in the squad than use the money for interest payments.
Fck 2 u RvP
Let him go to Man U, 24 mill for a 29 year old with a poor injury record and only one good season under his belt is pretty good imo. Anyway we’ve got suitable replacements in Podolski and Giroud, two good strikers.
Good news for man united am so happy to see Van persie and angelo henriguaz in man united but we still need lewandowski and nuri sahin
Who care’s about hazard nobody, who care’s about lucas moura nobody, but united care’s abt RVP the only goal machine in England, let see who laugh last lucas moura, hazard or Rvp.
Always feel abit sly when we sign another premiership player, always takes time to adjust to thinking of them being United players.
Fantastic footballer who will be great to watch but he’s getting on abit now and is normally very injury prone, so we’ll have to wait and see how he goes on. 24million on him is stupid though.
Dear oh Dear! them Gooners have caught a mighty bout of Bitterness from the BooCamp, we needed another quality Striker anyway. What if Rooney, or Chico get injured! what then?we now have the luxury of 5 strikers up to now, inc RVP,BITTERS,SCOUSE,ARSE,RENTS! be very Afraid,we want OUR Trophy Back!
Respect to the more classy Arsenal fans who have posted. “Baz” is behind the times with his ABU rant -it’s City -Chelsea and PSV who are the player poaching threat now so wise up.
This is a great gamble as RVP is top notch. Generally -we are a built club -like Arsenal.
God only know what formation we will use most now -but we have the players to “outscore” the oppostion. Kagawa is total class also.
Again, pissing on football transfer transfer frfom the heights.
24 million for top scorer last season is a bad deal, how stupid. How can Arsenal fans blame him for moving. World class players should be winning silverware and van persies spent, what 7-8 years putting his faith in Arsenal to do exactly that, and they havent delivered. Also, central midfield isnt a problem, keeping Anderson, Cleverley, Carrick and whoever else fit will be the problem. Plus 4-4-1-1 is an outdated formation imo, strikers are isolated, and centre midfielders are outnumbered easily. 4-2-3-1 is a similar formation but deals with it better. Also Baz how can you criticise our debts, Arsenal are in debt aswell, plus our debt isnt getting bigger. What kind of insult is that, its not like we chose the Glazers to buy our club with money they dont have.
Last time we won in Europe we had three top quality strikers to choose from. We have two top quality and two very good strikers to choose from which should be good enough. Not to mention there is no guarantee RVP and Rooney well gel. Rooney is up for it and you would assume RVP is as well. Exciting times ahead but when is it not with United?
Funny that Utd fans like ream us for being a selling club that doesn’t win trophies. I fully admit that there is merit behind those criticisms but in terms of trophies, last season was the only where we weren’t in contention for one.
Now let me ask you what it is you have to boast about? Trophies, you won none last year, close but no cigar.
We’re a selling club? Funny because while we sell lots of players, what have you bought in recent years to strengthen? That’s right, not exactly top of the pile are they and you still rely on Giggs and Scholes to prop you up in midfield.
Face it, your trophy history and prestige does not compare to city and chelsea who actually won things last season and will pay far more than you. Plus for the ricjest club in the world and desperately in need of some more world class players in your squad such as midfield you have been exceptionally stingy the past few seasons, why is that I wonder.
Enjoy your delusions of grandeur, RVP is a top player and I wish he’d stayed but he is a huge gamble and very unlike what Utd. used to be able to buy.
I actually hope he does well for United and stays injury free, he’s class player to watch and his goals are things of beauty, but while you all laughed at us as Chelsea used their millions to take top spot in London you now get to watch the rise of city, I wish you luck because Fergie’s not getting any younger and there is absolutely no manager in the world that can work the kind of miracles he has for you, your glory days are coming to an end.
Wow, Gooners are the new Bitters.
I love Baz, the tool who’s reminding us we didn’t win Fuck-All last year. How long’s it been for your side, dickhead?
Time for us to make a title odometer for Arsenal, like the one we had for City!
Well Arsenal needed the money…we needed a signing to get the morale of the squad up after last year’s terrible finish and to make a statement of intent…good deal both ways imo.
Credit to some of the gunners on here, wishing him well…they are a good bunch with a good manager who likes to play football and gives youth a chance — unlike the chavs, dippers or bitters
Sad to see mafia money and oil money destroying the real english and european football clubs these days…
I know I am echoing the sentiment already being stated but I do feel for the arsenal fans having to watch players that have matured under their jersey walking away from the team. I respect the way your organization has been built with bringing up youngsters and it is nice to read level headed comments from opposing fans on this site.
Also agree that seeing RVP in a united kit will be a bit unusual but hopefully a few goals will fix that.
The way i see it all the classless United fans who took the opportunity to point out our seven year wait for a trophy. You obviously not up on the history of your club and ours we have both had barren runs in our time, runs that have gone on more than 7 years in our past and for United a relegation from the top flight. But we and Gooners and United fans developed and built our history and world fame we didn’t buy it.
I admit its been a hard 7 seasons but at the end of the day we didn’t win anything when Clichy, Nasri, Fabregas and RVP in our squad at the same time so it was time to change. All the players from our almost winners of silverware have been sold and replaced with a new generation. I really hope RVP does well because hes too good a player not to have won anything
I hate to inform these Arsenal fans, but it’s officially £15 mil up front, the rest is based upon appearances and trophies won.
Very clever deal by Fergie, injury record and success will determine what we pay. Please don’t believe SAF would have parted with 24mil up front for RVP.
Now with the best strikers in England (VP AND WR)The season is ours.By winning the Barclays premier league The Fa cup and above all the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE…WATCHOUT….
All this talk about his injuries and what not, seriously? He has recovered. All footballers have injuries, as long as they aren’t the hargreaves kind..lol..
I would go as far as saying he is better than anyone of our fantastic strikers, on par with Rooney. This guy is world class and he’ll be world class for at least another 3-4 years. Now, lets talk about the treble since we have so much versatility and strength in depth. By the way the pre season looked, Kagawa was in midfield. Exiting times!! Oh yea, thanks Sir Wenger!
De Gea/Lind
Raff/Valencia Vidic/Evans Rio/Jones/Smalling Evra/Raff
Valencia/Nani Scholes/Cleverly/Anderson Carrick/Kagawa Young/Giggs
Rooney/Lil`Pea Persie/Beck
He won’t get injured cause we av a better medical team than the silly gooners…..
+ we only spent 50 mill so far and we got bundasliga player of the year + the prem golden boot winner oh yeah nt to 4get the amazing young nick powel. I dnt knw about you I would av thoese boys over any carzola or tevez or even moura. Av that!
There’s some right bollocks being talked here – Im Arsenal and I have no love for United but I respect that what they have won on the pitch they have with their own money not some fucking lottery win like those cunts at eastlands or the chavs – so lets have it right RVP did not want to play for us anymore and it aint the Mancs fault if our managment are willing to sell him to them .
The guy is a great talent and could be a top signing if you can keep him on the pitch but this is a big punt for United and they could (I hope ) come unstuck if he picks one up early on – £24 mill for a 30 year old guy with 1 year left is good bus for us – but if we feel bitter i think it’s because our managment have not done enough to stop our best players leaving each season .
Personally as an old school fan I could not give a fuck about most players now and if i want to continue to follow the club that s in my blood i just have to support the shirt and enjoy a match day giggle with my mates (mainly away from the bowl) .
So fuck RVP and with respect fuck Man u too – just hope we both get back to proper hating because we are fighting for the title .
COYG
I think that is business well done by the old man……. We got youth and impact players we needed so stick ur comments about man u, No matter Hw much money u will spend we will always come bk. just look at chelski great 2/3 seasons great manger at that point guess what…… We still made em crumble even in the champions league final…… City need to remember the only won on goal difference n nt to get to cocky cause this year goals will be coming from every were.
Van Persie has gone is great bussiness for Arsenal . I pity him because with the amount he gets and the demand he has from united funs and the Glazers, will be a heavy burden to him. He should have seen an example in Barbetov and Adebayor.
There seems to be a good mix of sound and bitter Arsenal fans here.
I’m happy but I really hope this doesn’t ruin Welbeck. I also would have preferred Baines to Van
To be fair, Clichy and Nasri were both Judos.
Arsenal fans have lost the plot.. One minute they are saying he’s the best player in prem league n now they think not.. And most of what u arsenal fans are sayyin is just hearsay no actuall proof.. We know what we r made of. We have been the team to challenge since the premier league.. Arsene winter had to sell he had no choice.. Who wouldn’t love a player at van persies standards.. Hes a good player and feel sorry that he hasn’t won anything unlike Henry berkamp Vera pires and so on.. He deserves to play for a better team unless arsenal can challenge for the prem but very unlikely now that clubs of better resources are around… Arsenal are like a car on the motorway way who has missed his exit and have to go all the way back to take it right…..
what a joke you united fans are. how can you not see what your team needs, how can your aging manager not see it. yet he spends the majority off your transfer budget on rvp. you have an aging/ injured defence, and a non existent central midfield. you cant play 442 with kagawa and carrick lol ferdinand and evra are finished, will vidic ever return to fitness. smalling jones and evans and some poxy twin. wow great defence. you won nothing last year and have slipped further behind this year. chelsea and city for the title and utd and arsenal challenging for 3rd and 4th.i think rvp is your best player but does not mean you need him, remember what happened with rooney and tevez. could not play together, very similar players to rvp drops deep to pick the ball up and spread play. anyway im excited as i actually feel arsenal have a great chance this year off doing something special think without 9 defenders injured at the same time this year we could challenge for honours, although seems chelski and city seem too strong
no player will ever leave london colney and expect to be flying with the same ‘red and white colurs’..white is pure and red is dangerous …so only aresnal can be pure and dangerous..vieira struggled when he left,HENRY u know that already, cesc admitted not to be the same player since he left Arsenal, nasri,HLEB OOOHHHH pls don’t wanna talk about him…Wenger knows exectly what time to release a player and IN ARSENE WE TRUST.HE “sells when HE want”.Robin can go alll I care.
Shame RVP has proven such an anti-Olympian so quickly – loyalty only to his ego and wallet rather than the badge
Why would we need batman or robin?
We have Santi.
I think the great thing is that Man utd fans spend more time laughing at the arsenal fans anguish rather than worrying about having committed 65 million on a guy with glass ankles.
“Form is temporary, Injury ridden is permanent”
Good luck Robin. You could have been great.
Need him or not , it’s with it if prick morgan would top himself. Happy to help him on his way.
Fred-22:20 that’s cruel , but true .
Never mind RVP, I still haven’t forgiven Utd for luring Frank Stapleton to Old Trafford!
I was very sad to hear about RVP’s transfer to UTD.Wenger wasn’t clever enough to let vP sign for UTD but am sure arsenal won’t lose hope if Wenger wishes it.Arsenal fans shouldn’t be disappointed in Wenger. It isn’t him,vP wanted it and he(vP) will regret to leave the Gunners bcz he has no blessing on his leaving. For arsenal fans and officials wanted to see him in Gunners’ shirt holding its captaincy instead.
HAHAHAHAHA! REALLY REALLY AMUSING TO READ THE BITTERNESS OF THE GUNNERS!! HAHAHAHAHA!
