For months, a picture of an awful gingham Manchester United shirt has been doing the rounds on the internet.
Whilst the leaked photos are more often than not the real deal, most believed that United couldn’t seriously pick such an awful shirt.
Well, there we have it, thanks to a post on United’s official Facebook page, we now know the players will be wearing this disgusting shirt next season.

Man Utd News 24/7

As long as we don’t play in those hideous white kits I’m fine…
like always.
will hate it.
will accept it.
will buy a copy in the end
still looks shit.
ditto ‘zelh’
Well, that doesn’t do a lot to lift the spirits, that’s for sure. In fact it looks awful, a sign perhaps of an institution losing a sense of its own heritage and history. The finest United shirt ever was the Busby Babes V-neck, and all re-thinks should start with that, with a sideways glance at the 1909 FA Cup FInal shirt for the alternative strip.
It’s a bit like tartan. Maybe it’s a nod to Fergie’s 25 year anniversary at the club?
I continue to buy retro of ebay costs a $120 canadian in calgary fucking stupid around 75 to 80 quid.
We should get rid of nikes sponsorship.
Tbh, I quite like it !
*hides*
Only silverware will make this jersey look any good.
Not as embarrassing as this season for you lot to be fair.
I still prefer sharp and umbro combination than nike and aon
Not as bad as the united bike a couple of months back.
LUFC. Just in case we fo fall apart and get fucked over by everyone, can you give us any advice from your vast experience.
Can;t wait 4 next season when sir alex the boss will buy better players and get the tiltte back for united everyone going 2 watch the liverpool and chelsea game later i think chelsea will win anyone agree with me
Maybe it’s the closest the lads can wear to a hair shirt, for punishment .
Is it all that horrible? I kinda like it
I like it, looks decent.
I love it! There are 2 versions of the shirt, the above one is the best version!
A leeds fan talking about embarrassing………oh the irony!
@RedBilly haha. Nice!
Leeds expertise? That’s one HELL of an oxymoron.
Seen a blue version of the red one around the Internet… I hope not
It’s not great is it.
BOOCH – I’ll be watching the game, it’ll probably be a draw, it appears to be the regular result at klanfield this season.
I didn’t want to believe it, but it appears to be true.
Does anyone know how the kits are chosen for a team? Do any of the club personnel have a say in it, or do Nike have pretty much free-reign to do what they like?
I’m waiting for the Leeds fan to evaluate his season since its been shit compared to our high standards and ok to there shit standards.
Can’t wait for them to be in the playoff finals about to reach the premiership.
Oh wait.
@ MG. Well said. Because if anyone is best placed to comment on our successes/failures, it’s them.
Was leaked a while back . Its not bad, I’m sorry I like it and will be buying both home and away versions!
ScholesForGoals- he’s a Leeds fan , more of a poxymoron .
This is truly awful. Can’t really begin to understand the people sitting at a round table, looking at fabrics and designs and finally coming to a conclusion that this is the one we should go with. No sense of style and fashion whatsoever.
Like it or not, replica shirts have become a huge business, and if you come out with a nice design, the probabilities of selling shirts automatically increase. Consequently incrementing your revenues. It’s not fucking rocket science…so I don’t understand it. This just screams….don’t buy me!
Let’s hope the away kit looks better.
@ RedBilly.
You needn’t have typed so many letters on your keyboard mate, moron would have sufficed.
MG- Leeds still think we care about there opinion , As if we are rivals . City copied the Poznan and Leeds for their bitterness .
I met my new girlfriends parents last night, her dad took me to one side & said, “if you ever hurt her you’ll have me to answer to”
I said, “thats highly unlikely, I’ve only got a small cock & she has an arsehole like a hippo’s yawn”
I’m not sure, maybe Matt can confirm it? Fergie gets a tenner for each shirt that sells.
Perhaps when you pull it, it stretches like an elastic band, leaving defenders looking sheepish.
Maybe a different reason. It seems certain that there are benefits to the players.
Some scientific advantage.
Next year might see more teams adopting the fabric.
Ugly kit. Tartan atire is very nice, but this design is just plain poor.
SFG- hahaha nice one .
Re fabriic and design. I heard the manc fashion guru mario had something to do with it , apparently it’s fire retardant
At least it hasn’t got any stars
Nike are given a brief and the shirts designed around that. I believe the shirt is supposed to be a tribute to Sir Alex hence the tartan design! I’m sure they could have come up with a better tribute. Maybe a gold 25 somewhere or the number of trophies he’s won, not a pair of fucking pyjamas. What are the shorts gonna look like? Fuckng long johns and I can’t wait for the moulded slippers!!!
Who had an horrendous away kit a few tears back, was it Newcastle ?.
Another shit shirt!! whats up with nike?! Havnt bought a shirt in about 5 years and wont be wasting my money on that shit.
Does it come with a matching tartan nightcap?
constant negativity never gets boring, ever.
bad shirt, naughty shirt, /spank
Just thought things could not get anymore depressing…….
Thanks Nike for rubbing it in further.
Think I have one of the shirts already. Bought it from the Edinburgh woolen mill
An awful bag of shite of a kit, the blue away version is as bad.
United are Nikes top selling shirt, why is it continually one of their worst kit designs?
The new Holland away kit is a cracking kit by Nike, why not have some of that design?
Gerkeo- it’s our secret wepon for next season. Opposition will piss themselves and we net a dozen. No GD bullshit next season
now we all know why pogba left for juventus…stop slating him lads.
The only 2 shirts I’ve bought in the last 15 years was this seasons and the chevron shirt season before last! This coincides with two of our worst seasons in recent history from a trophy perspective so think I’ll steer clear of the pyjamas.
For all those preying for a QPR miracle, were we not in a similar situation two years back needing a Wigan win who got spanked 8-0 (something like that?!) I see more of the same on Sunday.
http://dailyfootballnews.org/premier-league/leaked-manchester-uniteds-new-home-and-away-kits-for-201213-season/#
Away kit wouldn’t look much better.. assuming this to be accurate :/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkAiyFMypoc
the away kit is not much prettier
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCeOZMtxPE8
this is the best video clip as it is not just a picture

ScholesForGoals Redbilly
Where’s the Leeds fan gone?
It could be more embarrassing to wear. At least it nit laser blue or ‘ I’m a convicted sex offender ‘.sewn into the fabric. Fuck , ugly. No shilling shall pass over the megastore counter for this one .
Nike evidently had a kid on work experience in the office when this was designed. Seriously, could a kid on work experience have designed something worse?
Minimalist designs, made by kids in sweatshops = maximized profit.
the away kit is ok but the home kit is crap… maybe that’s why hazard will not join us
apparently its a Scottish design to honor SAF
Switch the kit every damn summer and you are bound to run out of creative ideas…
MG- he’s off to the megastore for one of the shirts. Thinks it’s designer status . Thinks it’s exclusive to wear it just because no one else is:-).
Or maybe he’s preparing a dossier on how to deal with free fall and repeated breach of the baloon knot by inferior teams .
Does the shirt carry a warning for epileptics , like a news item with flash photography?.
So not only will we not be getting any quality players in this summer, we’ll also be the ridicule of everyone for our new kits. Wahooooooo! Bring on the new season! I CAN’T WAIT!
(semi-joking)
The designer must be a bitter
On the positive side, it’s going to save me a bunch of $$ on a kit purchase this summer…
Doesn’t really matter to me what the shirt looks like. I’ve reached an age and a weight where I look ridiculous in any football shirt. Unless you have the physique of an athlete you shouldn’t really wear a football top beyond the age of 30. I realised when I saw Mike Ashley sporting a Newcastle top it was time to give it up as a bad job. No offence is intended to those who wear them beyond 30 or beyond 14 stone. that is your choice whether it is the right choice or not only your true friends will tell you.
PJBS- cunning plan . Lads will run like fuck for 90 mins else someone spots them wearing it
Redbilly
Now we know why we are going to have a shit transfer of a summer
It’s the new shirts fault!
JC- very good point.
I hope it will give us good luck
MG- lacks italian flair . You should have consulted Roberto
One can hope the plaid shirt becomes an icon.
Hate it or love it now, it could well grow on us all.
It might…..
It might be the one worn by United when they win the famous treble of 2013.
….or worn by Danny Welbeck in his break out year and wins the golden boot.
….or it could become such an icon of success that the fans insist on it every 12 years as good luck charm.
….or the year we put the debt behind us and buy back Ronaldo…..
Sorry mates, I just need to find a silver lining for most things
At the moment, I might spring for it for my girls new sleep wear collection
but hoping there will be more positives that spring to mind
Redbilly
My solicitor has told me that we have officially taken an injunction against Mancini until Sunday pans out
Now I know why we threw our 8 point lead away….. Those gold lions would have clashed terribly!!!
FletchTM – Optimist you are
Evening reds around the world,
MG- hahaha . Can’t wait for his call in Sunday pm mate
I blame the keeper! Off topic don’t know if any of you use Twitter but someone asked Rooney who’s the best player he’s Ever played alongside? Ans “Easy Scholes…”
This Jersey will motivate players to score brilliant goals just so they can do a Giggs-esque shirt throwing celebration! And United at least won’t have to change kits at away games since such horrific shirts don’t exist anywhere else but in the imagination of that twisted Scouse who designed this shirt! I have mats that look better than this!
Is this a fucking joke we play in red shirt white shorts black socks.
What the fuck is going on, its bad enough for people to fork out for them every year for their kids without being hideous.
Might just wear a kilt and one of those bobble hats with fake orange hair underneath it. Appalling kit, the worst I have ever seen.
Sir Alex,
“I tell myself I identify with that last group. Then I remember the people I was raised among. The great holiday adventures of my childhood was to go to Saltcoats on the Ayrshire coast for the Glasgow Family Fortnight… but some families in Govan couldn’t afford even that and would go to the local parks to be surrounded by a little greenery. For the men it was respite enough to be spared the noise and the grime of the shipyards for a couple of weeks, to escape the hammer of the Clyde.
“Ambition had nothing to do with their lives. Survival was the essence. Yet there was an incredible warmth of fellow feeling among them, a loyalty that was deep as the marrow. I wish I could re-visit, however briefly, the sense of community that existed in the Govan of my childhood. It could be a rough world but there were wonderful values at the heart of it. Loyalty has been the anchor of my life and it is something that I learned in Govan.”

Union Jack – Ha. Quality. How BAD did Mike Ashley look in a footy shirt? Fucking idiot.
I absolutely love this shirt.
Not really it is fucking hideous. Are they pissed or on drugs at Nike? Bring back fucking Umbro or Adidas. Best shirts we had. Nike’s are dogshit most seasons. Always changing the cunts too. Disgusting. Nike seem to be able to knock up decent Arsenal shirts but make ours look fucking horrible. Sort it out Nike. Could do better myself.
Gorse Hill Red – Ha. Superb pal.
its Red and that is good enough for me
We wore that gold and black shit top in 2001 (it was a third kit but that was bad)!!
Fuck me I have a tea towel like the blue one
Not as bad as the fuckin grey one!
i like this one so much i just love it
more interested in who’s gonna be wearing it on the pitch
The club died when Edwards took the word football club out of the badge. This is another step that the cunts running know fuck all about our traditions.
It’s just a fucking business and as a season ticket holder I’m just a number.
Got chatting to a female city fan in the pub last night while wearing my favourite old United shirt, cheekily she pointed to my slightly exposed beer belly and said, “was that Hieniken or Fosters” I said “there’s a tap underneath it if you want to find out”
anyone love the days where the kit would last 2 years, not this joke of changing the kit every season.
The 53 to Brooks Bar – ah yes the grey kit, now there were the good old days, where we could blame a kit for the defeat. Despite we looked like clowns for coming up with that excuse, the football was allot more enjoyable, and the year those twats got relegated
Fitb
Mate its every season now, I would never buy a strip the cunts get enough of me from ny season ticket.
I feel for parents who have to buy multiple strips every season. They were each kit less than 30 times given they alternate the strip home and away.
I’m genuinely disgusted
Was it Southampton when we were in the grey kit that did us by about 5 and SAF said they couldn’t see each other?
Loving the banter on here tonight.
I dunno about you lot, but every year I’ve bought the home strip, we’ve won the league. It goes hand-in-hand with the the season ticket. Coincidence? Maybe. But must I be forced to buy this one? Respect to fergie or not, i’d feel like a proper twat in that. Incidentally, anyone else have any pre-match superstitions or rituals?
LUFCWhite come back! We value your opinion. For laughs, obviously.
Looks like it’s been recycled from a tea towel, absolutely fuckin awful. Nike need a good fuckin for producing this truly piss poor effort.
that shirt is awful reddevils use something resonable and change the name reddevils it crips me out
Since we are the people that support the team and usually end up buying the kits, why can’t we ever have a say in it? A committee vote or something, picking from a number of designs. Surely it would make the most sense for Nike and United to maximise their profits? But yeah, what do I know…
Looks itchy. Maybe will keep the back 4 on their toes for all 90 minutes.
Well at least arsenal and man utd fans have something in common. They are starting to question nike and their horrible designs. Love the fabric and shape but the design seems lazy and not what the fans of either club wants!
I LOVE IT and I will buy it. In football you get NO points for fashion. I could care less how “beautiful” it looks. I has a lot of meaning behind its design that’s all that matters.
@ Phil Jones’ Birdshit Streaks – Best idea ever. By the fans, for the fans. The marketing campaign writes itself.
Leeds silverware won in the 2011/12 season: 0
Man Utd silverware won in the 2011/12 season: 0
Throwing away an 8 point lead so late in the season, and throwing away a 4-2 lead with 10 minutes to go, is opening yourselves to ridicule.
So is losing to a League One side at Old Trafford…
its to honour scottish quilt or something.. probably SAF’s last season next season.. and we will see Pep coming over to replace… seriously
Quite like it TBH.. as long as we win the bloody league next year we could play in a fucking clown suit for all I care
Is this new kit a Bay City Rollers throw back ?
Cool. Very cool. You Versaces out there have no taste. Leeds still got no class, though…
i miss the early 90′s long sleeve red jersey (guernsey?) that solskjaer used to wear, with the black line down the arm with sharp written on it.
Even though we maybe 2nd this time on we do still love our team as much as we wouldave if we would be champions again. why not the shirt? isnt it our team “uniform” our colors, our identification we should be proud and should respect it.
and its also at your discretion to buy or not!
I’m seriously not kidding …I think it looks great. Picture it with jeans and a black hoodie while u chill out at the pub
Absolute rubbish jersey, not going to buy it, waste of money, doesn’t appeal to me, my family or my united supporting friends – hardly any thought of design.
It’s alright to make your fans buy a new jersey every new season but the picnic table cloth! That’s an inside joke, im sure!
picnic table cloth
LUFC White – Sorry, when were you challenging for major honours again? Was it any time recently? Last 10 years? Care to remind us? Wind your neck in and jog on.
Whatever the shirt, I still end up buying it. I’m hopeless I actually like this shirt. I didn’t like our 2009 shirt though.
LMAO LUFCwhite is as deluded as they come pay no attention to the sheep shagger.
I’ll just keep getting the knock-off then lol
Seriously Nike? What a fucking joke this is. I’ts bad enough that I near enough killed myself for our pathetic and complacent capitulation but now this pile of dogshit. Will definitely not be buying one. Hopefully this will get rid of the Glazers because I can’t see any sane person paying over the odds for it. Honestly, what a disgraceful effort! It’s not to commemorate Sir Alex’s 25 years, apparently it’s to commemorate Manchesters industrial roots. I know we were a big textile manufacturer, but it’s not like everyone wore tartan was it?!? The away shirt is so bad it makes me want to vomit. Bright blue tartan?!? What the fuck happened to classy black away kits like 07-08 or white ones like 06-07, far and away some of my fav kits of recent times. Unless no one else can offer the same amount of money, we should 100% leave Nike. They’ve signed up with City and they’ve consistently produced SHITE shirts for us with the occasional beauty in a season. I was about to say it’s been difficult these past few weeks for us, and that this tops it off, but just think, we’ve taken the best City team ever to the last day of the season with what the journos call “the worst United side ever” and we’ve had horrific injuries. Not to mention we consistently challenge for the title despite our owners and our shite kits. That said, I am fucking furious at the complacency shown this season. It’s unacceptable at Manchester United, and either some players buck up their ideas or the fuck off now. It would also help if the Glazers could double our transfer kitty by not taking money out of the club. Don’t think there has ever been a more obvious statement on this website. The worst thing is they sanction 50m last summer on deals, but it is wage that are killing us. De Gea, Jones and Young aren’t the sort of players who are on 150k a week. Maybe they are but I highly doubt it. That’s where City beat us hands down. With FFP coming into play soon I can see them struggling given the percentage of their turnover compared to wages etc etc blah blah blah. But at the moment they can just say, whatever United offer you, we’ll double it. It actually is just another part of modern football that sickens me to be honest. Dead stadiums, people having a conference call mid match, people negotiating rocket before kick off, extortionate pricing, mercenary players…It saddens me. Whatever happened to pride and glory before money? I’m 19 and to be honest decent at football (if I could stay out of the pub I’d probably be a lot better) and I would play for United for minimum wage. At the end of the day, theres people in this country being laid off and who can barely afford to live, I’d happily sign a 250,000k a week contract ith United and only take home enough to provide for my family, and donate the rest to others. I can’t think of any young player coming through any team in the world with this mentality. Why is it that if you are a prodigious talent when it comes to football, you’re automatically a massive cunt these days? Or even worse, naive enough to let an agent run your life. If the footballing world was full of Paul Scholes’ it would be a much better sport than it is now. When players are just playing for money and there’s fuck all passion involved, how do you expect fans to react? That’s half the reason the atmosphere is beyond dead at Old Trafford during certain games. Complacent fans. There are fans who sing the stupidest songs and then are silenced when the opposition score and refuse to will the team on to equalise. They just sit there fucking complaining. Oh well I’m so sorry but just because you flew from London/USA/Asia it doesn’t mean United are guaranteed to win. They could do with coal support though! Oh wait, you have some sort of inhibition that prevents you from singing because you’re an upper class cunt. Christ I hate football these days. I don’t see how it’s going to get any better either. Maybe for a start we could scrap this shite kit.
By the way, to anyone despairing about our current situation, it could be worse, we could be scouse, finishing 8th and playing henderson and downing each week. Or it could be worse, we could be leeds, getting shagged by sheep while on our knees. Or it could be worse, we could be City. Honestly, would rather be us than City any day. First title in 44 years, best team ever consists of Gareth Barry, fans are scumbags who spit at you and call you a cunt, manager is a wanker, star player fucks off on a golfing tour for 6 months. Thank fuck I support United.
*vocal, not coal support. Just because our kit is inspired by the industrial revolution doesn’t mean the players need coal support.
Bobby Charlie
Bang on the money with that one. I echo your sentiments.
I mean it won’t be long till were wearing Leotards and Strap Ons. Fucks Sake Man
I like it… Its not so bad!
Where are the black socks? Still, look at the positives, it will only b for a season b4 they change it again.
Perhaps the design was approved when we had an eight point lead.
They thought it would slip on better amid euphoria.
Bobby charlie
Absolute spot on with that. Every word
WTF is that?!!! Can we not ditch Nike and bring Adidas in?!!
dreadful, looks like a table cloth to me
kit is constantly getting worse,
what’s wrong with having a plain deep red kit?
no V’s
no ribbon like collar
no checked tablecloth pattern
come on nike, rele used to like their kits before, starting to prefer the designs by adidas and umbro these days.
addias or umbro is suitable rather than nike .. i still miss the front logo SHARP ..
THIS IS FUCKIN AWFUL………..PLEASE NO………………….SEND NIKE A MESSAGE AND DONT BUY THIS CRAP…………DONT LINE THE YANKS POCKETS………………………………..
QUESTION FOR LUFC RETARD…………..WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING ON A UNITED FORUM
GO QUESTION YOUR OWN CLUB ABOUT THERE SHITE SEASON AND HOW BACKWARD YOU SHEEPIES ARE GOING UNDER THE GUIDE OF CHELSEA GURU MASTER BATES………..GET THE PUN………………………
bobbycharlie1968 – A few things – City might have some scumbags amongst their fanbase but then so do you lot. Fans turning up to Elland Road with Istanbul banners for example. Not to mention the numerous stories of violence over the years from your fans. I’ve certainly heard more about Man U fans kicking off than City.
And whilst I don’t agree with what’s going on at City like I didn’t with Chelsea, I don’t know how Man Utd fans can criticise others for spending money. It’s not like Ronaldo, Ferdinand and Berbatov were all cheap was it? And before you give it the “yeah but we spent our own money!” – you cashed in on Sky and became a brand.
Also, Man Utd fans are so quick to mention their trophies whenever someone criticises their team. You’re becoming the new scousers, living off past glories and constantly making reference to them! Yes I support Leeds, and yes we are shite (and our kit for next season is fucking atrocious as well!) but unlike most of you I didn’t decide to support my team for the trophies.
Difference between our fans and yours: You’re only 2nd behind City who look set to win the league on GD, you score 2 goals against Swansea and your fans barely celebrate. We play Leicester on the last day with nothing to play for, we equalise and our fans go mental.
You lot really could do with a stint in League One, might teach you a thing or two.
LUFCWhite – a lot of what you said at 13:42 is often stated by true Reds on RoM.
Every Club has a bad element in their support, and we’re not proud of ours.
You hear more about Man United fans kicking off because there are far more of us to kick off,
and the name Manchester United sells copy.
We would have more trophy hunters than Leeds, obviously. That doesn’t change the value of our true supporters. A season in League 1 would reduce the plastic element, but even a few years without silverware should get rid of most of that element. Of course, they will come back when the silverware returns. It’s no use blaming us for the fact that there is a group of people who only support the current champions. They support United more often than the other clubs, because we are usually champions.
You can’t blame us for being Champions too often.
I tell you what. If Leeds ever win again, off the fuckers that flock your way (no pun intended!)
LUFCWhite
The difference that you have suggested is right – when we fall short of our expectations that’s how it feels
When you have no expectations at all – this is reflected in the support – it will carry on knowing that that is as good as it gets.
United have a standard to keep – one which it has kept since Leeds won the title in 92
For you to suggest that we are living on past glories is well pure comedy gold – just reflect and balance Leeds United and Manchester United since 92 – you are no match.
Manchester United have had barren spells in that time where we have won nothing much yet still continued to reinvent the team. It’s happening now – a point that you don’t mention at all in your pathetic rant again.
Why should we fall? – no matter what happens to us, we will come back it’s in our DNA – you however can just shut up shop and quit complaining where you are.
Likewise when United fans mention there trophies, that hasn’t happened by accident or some fault or default. This is something that isn’t dawned upon non United fans.
As far as paying for players and winning – well the difference there is clear as well.
Manchester United have continually built teams through nurturing youth with transfers and have been successful.
Leeds could not replicate the United approach – in fact our debt has been readdressed no matter how hard that is to stomach – yet your debt which was an eighth of ours bought you down and finished you.
For you to lecture us in any way shows you as a bitter fan who can’t come to respect what Manchester United is. In that there is a lesson for you to learn.
Risdale practically destroyed you – no one has done that to us.
Do you know why?
It’s Manchester United. The team everyone wants to fail. So we accept the criticism and I for one take it on the chin and look forward to the challenge.
How many teams do that?
Now you can fuck off.
It’s not about the trophies – that line is best used for those who are too young. It’s about endurance and the willingness to wait for your time which United do have – and a point which you cannot come to understand. That’s why if the inevitable happens on Sunday I’ll grit my teeth and pay compliments to the neighbours.
But I know that unlike your fate United will find a way back.
19
LUFC, U STATE THE MONEY OUR CLUB HAS SPENT YET WE HAVE NEVER SPENT 300 MILLION TO BUILD A TEAM……MOST OF IT SPENT IN 2 YEARS AND THIS RICH ARAB HAS SPENT NIGH ON 1 BILLION TO CATCH UP TO US AND ON LAST LOOKING ARE ONLY TOP BY GOAL DIFF. AND YET THE IRONY IS WE STILL COULD BE CHAMPIONS COME SUNDAY…………HOW FUCKIN FUNNY WOULD THAT BE…………AS OF LEEDS………HAVE YOU BEEN NEAR THE PROMOTION PACK THIS SEASON? I WOULDNT KNOW COS I DONT TAKE THE TIME TO SEE HOW THERE DOING……..YOUR DIMISE HAS BEEN OUR LAUGHTER……………….NOW GO AND WATCH YOUR DVD OF THAT CUP CLASSIC FROM 2YRS AGO THAT WILL CHEER U NO END……………
Neil Warnock is our current manager – he has an excellent record with promotion so if not next season I’m expecting us to go up the season after.
I’m not denying your youth setup, but my point was that you’re as bad as Chelsea and City for splashing the cash. Maybe you haven’t spent as much as they have on players (although Liverpool hold the record for higest transfer free with Carroll – money well spent…!) but you can’t make out that you’ve not thrown your weight around in the transfer market in the past, and that all your players are cheap or of products of the academy. Your purchase of Ferdinand was for a record fee, for example.
“Risdale practically destroyed you – no one has done that to us.” – Isn’t Glazer doing that to you now? Explains why you can’t compete in the transfer market, and why you didn’t get Sneijder last summer.
As for reinventing the team – yeah, with players like Jones, Rafael and Cleverley you’re sure to dominate English football for years to come. LOL! It would not surprise me if you don’t finish in the Top 2 next season. City will obviously be better and I can see Arsenal and Chelsea (the two teams your fans seem to hate just because they’ve dared to compete with you for the title) coming back stronger. Surely their current squads aren’t that much worse than yours anyway. It’ll be a more competitive league next season, that’s for sure.
“It’s about endurance and the willingness” – And ludicrous decisions from the referees. Stonewall Fulham penalty not given. Derry being sent off. Young winning a penalty after deliberately RUNNING INTO a Villa player, etc etc.
Usually if Man Utd win the league I grin and bear it and accept that the best team has won the league – but your current squad isn’t good enough and that’s why I deem City the more deserving winners – because they have a better team. Nothing to do with being bitter.
Oh dear, I thought it was a nod to Sir Alex. Industrial Legacy?
Probably best not to mention where those MOUNTAINS of cotton originally came from for all those centuries then, aye? Das Kapital, anyone?
Anyway, if I remember correctly there was a “backlash” against our current away kit too but look how popular that is now. This latest shirt design isn’t as bad as is being made out imo, and more to the point if we sort out our midfield so Giggs and Scholes don’t need to START big games in their late 30′s I doubt anyone will give a fuck what we wear next season. We need our youth players to step up and be counted – whoever wants to go should go – we can’t buy our Title back if we lose it to CIty, just like we never bought our Titles in the first place.
Come on Fergie, one more glorious homegrown squad for old times sake!
LUFC………….NOT BITTER?????????? I BEG TO DIFFER…………YOUR OBVIOUSLY CLUTCHING AT STRAWS NOW SHEEPIE………….ON THE YOUNG PENS……………YOU SPEND A LOT OF YOUR TIME WATCHING MUFC SO I GUESS THAT MAKES YOU A EXPERT………..RIGHT, DID U SEE THE ONE NEWCASTLE GOT AT O/T THIS SEASON? AND DID YOU SEE THE ONE ON SUNDAY YOUNG SHOULD HAVE GOT………..FUNNY HOW YOUR ARGUEMENT DOESNT BRING IN ALL THE TRUTHS
I THINK IF U WATCHED OTHER PREM TEAMS THEN IT WOULD BALANCE ITS SELF OUT BUT U REFUSE THIS BECAUSE ITS”UNITED” AND ALL THE REFS ARE BOUGHT…………..AFTER READING YOUR LAST STATEMENT ONE THING SPRINGS TO MIND…………….U SAY U SUPPORT LEEDS BUT YOU SEEM TO KNOW A LOT ABOUT OUR CLUB AND ITS DEALINGS………….GET YRSELF OUT OF THE CLOSET AND SUPPORT THE SIDE U REALLY WANT TO WHICH IS MAN.UNITED. Fuck off dickhead. Why are you on here? I’m surprised you can even spell you lamb shagging wanker.

Go and see where the debt is from 2005 to 2012
Go see what United have generated in terms of commercial revenue
I think you will find your answers – Risdale destroyed you with 1/8 of our debt – we are still standing to the shock of many.
As for transfers – Always been the same situation even when the club was a PLC – the honest truth is that SAF does what he wants – however to be fair – bringing the debt down has had it’s problems in transfers – As for Sneijder, Inter never allowed Sneijder to leave – they would now though wouldn’t they because he’s been injured for most of the year – don’t want him now.
I have never denied spending on players to win – and neither can you when you were doing it – my point is two fold – we spend to justify it on a long term basis – Leeds were trying to do it quickly and failed. City have spent 500 million to win a premiership. They are spending to justify a short term fix. They have only a limited time to pull this off – after that the UEFA/FIFA regulations come in. Then we will see what city can do, won’t we? United have never spent stupid money to win the years premiership – you cannot deny this.
How do you explain within the Glazer era that we’ve been more successful spending less? Doesn’t make sense does it – so then what is the answer to this?
Because it’s Manchester United – again a point you can’t level at – you yourself have said we have spent less – apart from two CL losses to Barca – United have been exceptional. One could argue that a few more players might have helped, or one could argue no team would have beaten them as they were.
As for ludicrous decisions – Newcastle at home – there penalty our legit goal at the end, Wigan away for a penalty… I could carry on – City have been in the same situation over the season yet you don’t mention this. You just say we are favoured – I don’t understand – if we are favoured how are we not sailing all trophies?
City to be more deserving winners than United because they have the better team – no not really. After everything you have pointed out – you ridicule and disgrace Jones Rafael Cleverly – yet they are just youngsters learning – and making mistakes which have cost United at times this season.
Yet I am not bitter to these youngsters even if it means losing a premiership – a point which you despise – I know that these youngsters will grow into a team – something you do not have the patience for – you don’t deny the youth set up yet you laugh at it – disrespect it – I’m sorry – you are wrong – and at this point I come full circle that we allow youth to integrate within the team amongst transfers – therefore blowing your point out of the water that we just buy to succeed.
The only fact that allows city to be deserving winners is that we failed against them twice. City will win this premiership on a better goal difference because of it.
So according to your point of view the team that has outspent us in every way is more deserving to win the premiership?
Okay – brilliant – I look forward for that bubble to burst and for us to find a challenge in doing so.
They haven’t really thrashed us to win this league – and since we have the better set up – Can’t wait to start again.
Another point that you don’t make – and ultimately your points are self destructing. You say we can’t spend then you say we have bought trophies – you Sir have no idea what you are talking about.
We are not Chelsea we are not City – we don’t do things instantly – we have long term plans.
That’s also what you will never understand.

partylikeits1999 – You do realise you have the option of turning the Caps Lock off don’t you?
Milesplattingred – Good one! Never been called a sheep shagger before, despite being from a city twice the size of Manchester. But then again I’d rather live on a farm than on some smackhead infested sink estate in North Manchester.
MG – We did try to buy success ourselves and like you say, it failed. But our highest ever Premier League finish – 3rd in 1999/2000 – was from players from our excellent youth setup. The likes of Kewell, Harte, Smith, etc weren’t bought. The spending came after that, when we were trying to stay in the Champions League.
Regarding your comment about being exceptional barring the two losses to Barca (which there’s no shame in, in fairness) – how do you explain being knocked out of Europe twice in one season, on both occasions by teams who are hardly known to be giants?
You’re not winning trophies despite being favoured because . I don’t deny that wasn’t a penalty against Newcastle and yes, maybe you should have got a penalty at Wigan, but they are two decisions that have gone against you compared to the countless times you’ve been awarded stupid decisions. Oh yeah – another bad move by the ref – Sammon’s red card, just for walking into Carrick.
Maybe these youngsters will become good. I certainly think De Gea and Welbeck will be quality in a few years time (there’s your biased bitterness for you!) but you have to wonder how far ahead City will be by then. Who knows what world class players they will have signed?
And to be fair – City let you back into the title race by losing to Swansea and Arsenal, and drawing with Sunderland. Of course they haven’t thrashed you, I don’t buy into that at all despite what other “ABUs” may say, hence why you’ll probably end the season level on points. It’s just that, this season the two Manchester clubs have been taking it in turns to bottle it and your turn happened to be at the end of the season. Hoping for a more competitive title race next season instead of a competition to see who is worse at being unable to handle pressure.
1-0 3/1/2010
LUFC – White – Or like the smackhead infested estates in Seacroft, Chappy and Armley and Bramley? Why do you EVEN come on a United blog? Oh and Rafael has more medals than your first eleven put together. Bore off.
You gotta love the delusion of grandeur suffered by some Leeds supporters – the history of that Club is slightly more impressive than Wolves ffs! By all accounts they are fortunate to be a second tier mid-table team, and next season I’d expect the mighty Wolves to return before they do.
True, United can still draw them in the early rounds of a Cup, but other than that I’d have to say Leeds are a fucking irrelevance in the big scheme of things.
I cannot believe you are still on about that January 3rd cup exit. We got over that months ago. Shows how smalltime you are. For what its worth I want you back up in the Prem, it’s good for rivalry. As you know I live in Leeds, well near Tadcaster actually and I can honestly say you revel in United’s misery. Always have. You watch our scores more than your own. Oh and this myth that Elland Road sells out. Ha. Yes course it does. The fucking place is empty when on tv, even for the big games. I use the words “big games” lightly with you being a Leeds fan.
Yep, Chapeltown, Seacroft, Armley and Bramley are all rough but thankfully I live in a rather illustrious suburb of North Leeds where there’s no muggers, no thieves, no smackheads and best of all, no Mancs living here.
Also, if we’re such an irrelevance why do you sing “we all hate Leeds scum” constantly? You sing about us more than we sing about you!
The reason we don’t sell out much is because of the prices Bates has imposed on us, making it hard for your average supporter to frequent many games. And a few of our fans have decided to stop going until Bates leaves, which is fair enough. See, that’s how you protest against shit owners, not turning up to games wearing Green and Gold over an official replica shirt!
LUFCWhite – You live in Headingly don’t you? Studentville. Or was it Moortown? I recall you saying summat anyway. I agree to an extent. The whole green and gold over replica shirts was fucking cringeworthy.
Near Moortown yeah, although soon to be Horsforth.

You’re going around in circles – you haven’t paid much attention to what I have said so in honestly I can’t carry on.
One year without trophies doesn’t mean much – come back this next year and the year after if it’s the same case you’ll obviously have been proved right.
I personally am not worried about it at all – just like you as a Leeds fan thinks you’ll be up in a few years time – I believe we’ll just carry on as we were.
Makes sense now?
It looks smart and i love it… awwkwardddd. People love a moan about things dont they
It looks fukin MINT
Used to think 06-07 wasn’t the most inspirational one but then it had become my favorite..
So doesn’t matter. We need attractive football most of all.
I think it’d look much better if the AON was in yellow or black, instead of white.
this shirt is just awefull. its like a used teebag.
I’d wear a red spandex shirt next season if it had gold badges on the sleeves. I may be too ashamed to purchase this if we have to put them shit white badges on
I urge every United fan around the world to buy the new shirt. It means the season ticket price’s stay the same.
Not buying any shirts as long as the Glazrer`s pocket the profits anyway.
On the plus side it rminds me of the table cloth at my favourite Italian Restaurant.
A Leeds supporter who spends his time on MUFC websites & watches a lot of United matches & wants a closer Premiership title .
.hmm in his position i would be on Leeds sites, watching leeds play and wanting a one sided Championship race. Now go Troll some other clubs sites LUFCWhite.
terrible ..
We lived in the past glories? I never know that the last time we won the league was 20 years ago. Hahaha. Deluded Leeds fan. Hahaha.
BTW, it is terrible kit but Nike was famous for their dreadful football shirt designs wasnt them?
I fuckin hate nike! utter rubbish!
Looks mint…….gonna wear it walking up Warwick road, all the way from my gaff in Trafford, wear it all the way into the heavens of the west stand ……. Grow up c.u.n.t.s. Its a short. Doesn’t matter if we resort back to tags …. hated..adored …….never ignored. Williams out
