PICTURE: Chelsea Put Winners’ Badge On Next Season’s Shirt

Chelsea FC’s official pictures for next season’s kit include players posing with gold badges on their shirt. The gold badges are specially reserved for the champions, whilst every other team wears white Premier League badges.

After beating Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford today, United are just one point away from earning that gold badge!

Someone better tell their kitman…

  4. Doghouse says:

That chick they got in to model the shirt is dog ugly.

  5. yooney says:

Counting their chicken too early i guess.

  6. Slabs says:

What no pic of Howard Webb wearing one?

    I kid.

Don’t they normally wear it for one game at the end of the season though?

  7. dela says:

Torres with a gold badge? Do you they now have a Women’s Premier League as well?

  8. captaink9 says:

i posted glazers = trophies earlier and look some heat for it but if you look at the stats in the time they been in charge we have won everything compaired to the previous 6 years before glazers charge, not including a possible 19th title and 4th european cup.

  9. Staffred says:

I saw this wen they brought it out in the sun newspaper, they’d got White badges but they said 09/10 champions on them!
But cheeky bastards for even thinking they were going to do it agen!! 2-1 we beat the cheats 2-1

  10. Doghouse says:

    @Captaink9

We won plenty before they took over, but we weren’t half a billion quid in the shit.

  11. willierednut says:

    Lol. Stupid rentboys. :D :D

  12. Paul H says:

No, fair play to the rentboys. All they need to do is win their last 2 games and for us to lose our last two…so the chances are they’re dead cert for the gold badges..

Tell you what, if our boys can hit Barcelona with that same tempo and intensity as we saw today in the first 15 minutes at Wembley, then I’m increasingly confident we will have them rocking. Bring it on.

In the meantime, even if the noisy neighbours do land their first (albeit minor) silverware in decades next Saturday, their “success” will be massively overshadowed by the record 19th title all over everybodys TV screens and newspapers – some things never change!

  31. karandravs says:

Scott please post a link of SAF bowing down to the fans, it made tears roll down my eyes. He is not just a great football manager, but an idol as a human being. Be it arrogance, despair, contempt, mistakes which he has committed too but it is the humble, humanly and sportsmanship good qualities that makes everyone respect him. He doesn’t just produce players, he makes them better human, and not cash-chasing brats.

Thanks SAF for making an empire which we not just follow but connect and live with.

  32. Costas says:

    @Dave Mack

Yeah. And some of our fans accuse him of sulking and not being happy when the team does well and he is on the bench.

  33. CedarsDevil says:

The shackles have been broken…. Ok, listen to me captaink9 you fake piece if shit…. I tried being human with you but it seems you only know one language which is abuse…. Do not try and be smart with this red because I will rape your sorry ass you bitter blue

  34. sachu says:

i think this is going to be a fantastic season
    we will win the double
we will win the fa youth cup
we have signed 2 potential greats in chicho and smalling and da silva twins will be here for two decades
rooney evra vida carrick fletcher ando have signed new contracts and also ryan
we have seen the devolpments of welbeck and cleverley in their loan clubs
    we also have pogba morrison

dissappoinment is of course vds and red nev going and maybe scholes also

  35. RedLife says:

It’s a nice kit, but the badge is a bit presumptous. It’s not over yet, but almost and that nice gold badge will be ours again.

  38. Wednesdayx says:

Our boys in red are going to look scrum with that gold badge on their shirts, I don’t know but somehow it just belongs…….

    @Mes

    I love that!!!

  39. fergie is the boss says:

Costas – fergie has found his true team, there is still a phew players he will need in the summer. He has built a side he knows he wont lose key players, well apart from VDS and scholes, but apart from that he wont lose players that will drastically alter how united play. All fergie needs is a new GK and an attacking midfielder, preying it is schneider. Imagine a midfield 3 of carrick schneider and rooney with valencia nani and hernandez has a triangle 3. We could potentially have one of the most devastating side’s in Europe next season

  40. fergie is the boss says:

and if we do get the right attacking midfielder and GK. I think we will cake walk the league next season, chelsea I do not see improving, arsenal are arsenal, shitty will continue to flatter. Liverpool will be an interesting one, they maybe united’s closest challengers, if they continue where they left off last season. But if its the same liverpool I can see title no20 next season and that aint beingf big headed, that is a fact

  41. Udemski says:

    Bring barca on!

  42. gizmoj says:

That would indeed be a lovely team addition but according to me we already have one of the most devastating sides in Europe, 3 finals in 4 years !!!!!!!!

We are already that FUCKING GOOD !!!

  43. sachu says:

@ FITB inter are probably the best selling club in the world they sold ibrahamovic for 50mplus etoo so sneijder could cost around 40-50 and do u think sir alex will buy anyone like that

  44. fergie is the boss says:

gizmoj – I am saying a more convincing united side away from home in the premiership.. It has proven united are a more flued side when united have someone like giggs in the engine room, who can link up the play between midfield and attack. Anderson I do not think has that bit of genius giggs posseses that can see us break in numbers. Our wide boys and front 2 are great, but united are that much better when we have someone like giggs in there, who can be added has another attacking threat with pace from midfield.

Giggs is our cable guy for me

  45. RedManWalking says:

Guys…u gotta check out this promo! Simply awesome!!

  46. dela says:

    Park ji Sung> Wesley Sneijder.

    My cow is the best.

  47. gizmoj says:

Not disagreeing – just chuffed with today’s result. I have been a big critic of players like Carrick in particular this season but fair play he was good again today and to end up as champions and in the Champions league final I think some people in the press need to change their tac on this team. Very excited for the future too but would sooo love to see that big midfield addition – I totally agree that some better away league performances with a bit more “magic” would have seen us run away with it tbh.

  48. CedarsDevil says:

This is another video that I would recommend everyone to watch..

  50. sachu says:

michael carrick is the most underrated player in uniteds history

  51. fergie is the boss says:

I got ask does micheal owen qualify for a prem medal

  52. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Reg the Away form. Stop talking about. Football is about wins and losses. If United had won more games away from home, we might’ve lost a few at home to balance for it and the end result might’ve been the same. Not saying it would’ve happened but there is no point talking about what MIGHT’VE been.

Had Chelsea not had Ray Wilkins quit, they might’ve been ahead? Had Arsenal not choked again, they might’ve been ahead? Had United not had a shitty away form, we would’ve run away with it? But none of it matters because we have the benefit of hindsight now to talk what we want.

Let’s talk about WHAT is which is that we are the Champions of England for the 19th time and are on the fucking perch.

That is all that matters and that is all that has always mattered.

  53. fergie is the boss says:

CedarsDevil – I do hope for next season, united stick to this formula with giggs or someone like that playing in the engine room to partner carrick. Because we look so dangerous, esp on the counter. We ran chelsea’s legs off today, valencia park and rooney were basically extra midfielders, it was like we had 14 players on the pitch. Valencia park and rooney were worth 6 midfielders today, they were that energetic. Hernandez pressure on the chelsea backline had them in knots

  54. sachu says:

@ FITB owen will get a medal tony v is still 1 short i think

  55. RedManWalking says:

@united4life thanx for that one man. Beautiful! Just shows that we are unstoppable! Nothing can stop us. Not the ABUs. Not the FA. Not even death. This club is truly built on defiance. Its that spirit – that never die attitude – that really attracted me towards this club! Love this club! Gave me goosebumps, that video.

Bring on Barca!! We are going to maul you! You never write off Manchester United.

    GGMU! We Will Never Die!

  56. fergie is the boss says:

sachu – it is who you partner carrick with, anderson never seems to work. But when carrick has giggs along side him, carrick can let giggs do all the pressing, carrick can sit deep clean up, he can do his own game. Valencia park and rooney coming deep, narrowing the pitch. Then when united break forward, giggs and rooney get the ball and they get valencia and park in the game, then rooney and giggs break forward and it is 7 swarming if we include fabio and evra. It is a nightmare for side’s to deal with, when it is a combo if workrate guile and wingers who eat the grass on the wide positions. Cole has never faced a winger like valencia who that direct it is insane, it is like if you give beckham giggs’s pace with the ball, it is that horrible to deal with

  57. RedManWalking says:

For guys asking for the celebration videos, this one has the celebrations in the end…

@red man walking..I have seen that video a 100 times Mate and I get emotional everytime I watch it..

You look at the Legends that have graced this club..Cantona, Bryan Robson, Best, Sir Bobby Charlton and SAF..They all epitomise the characteristics that have made this club so unique and Great..Commitment, Dedication and a never say die attitude..

As MG always says..”This shirt is a symbol of defiance”..If you don’t respect and cherish the shirt then you are not at the right club..

  62. karandravs says:

I was just checking.. Park Ji has only one winners medal. In 06-07. Never realized that. I hope he has played 10 this year.

  63. Gizmoj says:

Cedars is right, plenty of time to talk over the setup for next season, WE JUST DID THE RENT BOYS FOR NUMBER 19 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  64. dela says:

I’m calling it a day lads. A brilliant day to cap off a brilliant season. You couldn’t help but wonder if we would even be in the title race back in the midst of the Ambition-gate saga. To win number 19 as comfortably as we have is just incredible.

I don’t even care about beating Barcelona anymore- this will still go down as the season when we were written off by all and Piers Morgan and still managed to clinch the title. Oh wait, that’s almost every season.

Anyway, over and out. Nighty night lads.

  65. Bradnaldo says:

    @Mes

Quality, gotta get that one going at Old Trafford

  66. aimanunited says:

can anybody tell me how much PL game any player need to play to grant them a PL medal?
I heard the commentator said valencia have to play the next two matches because he only played in 9 including chelsea today. I guess it’s 10 matches. If so, did Owen play enough?

  67. Bradnaldo says:

    @Mes

Quality, gotta get that one going at Old Trafford.

  68. Ridiclus says:

    @aimanunited

yes owen has the requireed 10 apperances but fabio and tony v need 2 more to get a medal

isnt it rgreat that micheal owen is gonna get a priemer leauge medal at the same time we take over scousers record. bet ya he doesnt care were he was in istanbul now

  77. RyanDunny says:

Hello my fellow Reds. In America till Wednesday..gutted to miss 2days game, but chuffed with result and peformance. Last week we looked disinterested and went through the motions…..today however, we played with fire in the belly and like Champions. Can I ask who were the people critizing SAF last week and predicted a Chelsea victory? Never ever write off United. Everyone was fantastic today…was delighted that Evans came on and played so well. People forgot how good the boy has been for the past couple of seasons covering in for Ferdinand and he’s still young. Him and smalling are going to be a fantastic center back pairing in the future I know it. Although I thought he played better against Chelski in the Champions League, but he played very well today again. What a return Valencia has made and he gave Cole the toughest game of his life…. Cole could manage Ronaldo, but he was stumped again today by our wing wizard. Park was outstanding today…in my opinion his best performance in a United shirt. Ryan giggs never ceases to amaze me….. I’m no longer suprised by his performance level. Rooney and Hernandez what a partnership. Hernandez is the buy of the century no doubt about it. Oh and how fitting that it was our captain Vidic who scored the goal that’s has virtually won our record breaking 19th title. Oh and wasn’t it nice that we still won it despite the horror show of offciaiting that once again favoured Chelsea?

  78. jespermoses says:

Amazing performancfe! One of the best all year.Park was phenominal

  81. Zibbie says:

They played like Champions, with fire a controlled furry of purposefulness forward movement!!!!

  82. RyanDunny says:

    Zibbie

No I did watch it…but I mention I wished I had been at O.T like I usually am….it sounded like some atmosphere from the bar I was watching it from.

  83. Zibbie says:

Rooney has found a home with this set up and type of players. Giggs was magnificent in a CAM roll and with Li Pea on the last shoulder they can not stop Rooney from finding space to boss the game. I think that is why Giggs next year can do that for 30 of 50+ games and with Fletcher and Carrick maybe a CAM in the window is best a 25-30 million lb type of player a Sneijer type. And Man Utd will win 3 cl titles in 5 years with Lil Pea, Rooney, Giggs, Schneijder, Tony, Nani, park and more wow what an attack.

  84. rat1p says:

    @RedManWalking
yeah i did brilliant posts btw

  87. Patx says:

I think they will wear this t shirt for their last home game so it’s relevant to put champion badge

  88. Zibbie says:

@FITB I agree whole heartily wow what a club 19 in sight, CL final and a window where SAF has said he will buy!

  89. MG says:

    I don’t know where to begin…

If you knock my club and you believe you can throw it down then you are wrong – there were 70 thousand plus Manchester United supporters at OT standing together relentless in one pursuit

If you think because we may have fallen and we won’t get back up then you are wrong

We are here – not only those of us that grace each and every corner of OT – all of us from wherever we are – we are all here – standing shoulder to shoulder for United

To all of you as United fans who ridiculed your own club – apologise – apologise for your fucking hypocrisy and betrayal – Manchester United will never die – United are never beaten – we may run out of time but we are never beaten.

To all of you who don’t believe – you don’t have to – do not now sing our praises because all along we have told you that if you dishonour our shirt we will come together to defend with everything we have got. To those that hate us – we do not despise you – to those that want us to die:

Manchester United lost a team that would have been the greatest of any generation – but Manchester United never lost there spirit – you cannot break our spirit – whatever you say to us means nothing – whatever you do to us means nothing – we are unbowed – we will not bow to no one – you cannot touch us you cannot break us – we are Manchester United

This belongs to every United fan that believes – we are taught many things in life but believing in United sets us apart.

Today I went home – today I went to OT – I like all of my friends – and you know who you are – I believed – I believed that today history and destiny would have to collide.

    Now we have redemption left.

To all of you that have been on my journey and I on yours – I say to you that today I wore the crest on my shirt and I knew that Manchester United would rise.

Manchester United rose. This shirt is not only a shirt – it is a symbol of profound greatness.

And within that greatness lies a defiance unmatched and unparalleled.

    For United

  93. Costas says:

MG’s comment is post of the season. Nothing to add.

Thanks for always believing mate. You helped keep this place positive even when we were at our worst.

  94. slim says:

Always class mate, top top post. Costas said it, you’re one of the many who keep ROM truly RED. Sign him up Sir Alex

They wear the new strip on the last game of the season so it isn’t a cock-up. At least they’ll get to experience that setup for one game at least!!!

  97. FusilliJerry says:

Ji-Sung Park against Chelsea, May 2011: simply one of the great performances in a United shirt.

Am eating my words for having slated him in previous seasons; they taste just fine with kimchi.

  98. RedFilip says:

I’m sure that Tony V and Fabio will get their appearances to qualify for the winners’ medals.
I only feel sorry for our Wesley Wes Brown, he is Manchester United through and through, Manchester born and bred, extremely loyal servant to our club. Hope he retires with our team, i.e. is not sold in the summer or anytime to be correct.

  102. King Eric says:

Wow. Just fucking wow. Old trafford was fucking electric today and when that final whistle went it was deafening. The rentboys were silent for seventy minutes then sang when fatboy scored and had the audacity to mock our support. Caants. What a gutsy superb performance. Testament to the squad that when we fuck around with the defence it doesn’t make any difference. What a run from young chris when he came on. He could even play In midfield that lad. Special mention to Park who was outstanding today. Giggs carrick rooney tony. They were all superb. God I love hernandez. Pressure that early on buit it didn’t phase him and a great finish.

Had to laugh at those cunts warming up. Fat frank and CLLC just HAD to be at the front. Tossers. Lampard is fucking finished. Essien has turned to mush. We bossed it from start to finish. Oh what a day. Buzzing like fuck. Great to see the mad celebrations at the end. I am made up. I really am. Love this fucking club. They have that scum bastard as a legend while we have proper ones like Giggsy and Paul. No comparison. Fuck me how shit is torres? Don’t know how it came across on tv but from my seat it looked like Webb was giving the rentboys some fucking soft decisons. How ivanovic wasn’t sent off I will never know. A great day made even better by the fact I found out I am off to wembley.

    Bring on the barcabumboys.

  103. slim says:

thats it boys, i woke up today counting down the hours as they slowly ticked by, couldn’t believe my eyes when lil pea scored after 36 seconds, felt pride down to marrow hearing the OT faithful push the team on. Want to get to bed but i’m still buzzing.Doubt i’ll get any sleep, would love to stay on but looks like everyone’s off, truly draining day for us but it feels so damn good.

  104. fergie is the boss says:

Zibbie – Our current front 5 are just horrible to deal with, they are probably the hardest attacking 5 players collectively in one team in europe, while barcelona do rely on messi a little to much to get them a goal, and villa to a lesser extent. The last time we had this much movement and fluency was the 2006/07 season, when carrick was sweeping up, and scholes ronaldo giggs rooney and saha were just moving like chess pieces, it was non stop.

But fergie has found a balance in the premiership and Europe that he has not had before, he has mutated a formation that starts 451 and breaks forward has a 4411 or a 442, it is horrible to deal with. Giggs is the cable guy for me, he is the brains of this united side that connects our midfield to our attack. His clever dribbling ability and his movement is horrible to deal with, you add valencia park and rooney who don’t stop running, they narrow the pitch to make united’s formation a man CM, they break forward and it is a 442 formation. rooney and hernandez have engine’s like no other, when you have this it is like having 8 midfielders, and chelsea were just all over the place.

    @aimanunited

So far those who have appeared in the league but will miss out on a medial are

Bebe – Needs 8 more games
Brown – Needs 3 more games
Hargreaves – Needs 9 more games
Kuszczak – Needs 6 more games
Neville – Needed 7 more games
Obertan – Needs 3 more games
Valencia – Needs 1 more game

So valencia is the only one who hasnt got the games yet but could get enough games to get one

    @Ridiclus

No fabio was on 9 games before today. Today was number 10. Valencia was on 8 before today so is now on 9 so needs to play in one of the last two games

  110. Brooka says:

I couldn’t see us losing all week. I woke up today thinking we couldn’t lose. We were 2-0 up and my shoulders ached with tension as I stood with my dad in the Stretford End, driving him nuts by repeating things like ‘We always make it hard for ourselves’ and ‘Just imagine if Utd were getting all these decisions?’ I was becoming paranoid dillusional, yet somehow I knew we would not be denied.

We needed to turn up and we did. Everyone of the team, everyone of the fans. No matter the nagging doubts, Sir Alex has made every fan believe. We shouldn’t doubt this great club because when the chips are really down, they don’t go missing.

I used to care what the media said, what the doubters and haters thought of us. I couldn’t give a flying fuck to be honest these days. I sung and swore my head off today, despite the bitterness and disappointment of being denied even the chance to bid for a ticket for Wembley. Where else could you get a feeling like today? The highs, the lows, it’s all worth it for days like today.

  111. Costas says:

    @KIng Eric

Wasn’t just the Ivanovic red card mate. Chelsea got away with two penalties that should have been awarded to us. As far as legends go, it was amazing to watch Sir Bobby clap as injury time was coming to an end. You could tell how much it means to him. And then Sir Alex bowing to the fans. JUst a fantastic day for the red family.

  112. NBI Red Onion says:

19 and still the Champions league finL to look forward to, what more can you ask for. This was an odd year with ups and downs like Roo’s tantrum and midfield struggles but it was they plodded through, then all of a sudden, valencia came back and park and it was like a switch went on and we moved up five gears to cruise control masters where we are now, with fresh players and peaking at the right time and in time, it all came together in one glorious finale,

Re away form, it was interesting what vidic had to say about that today, he said the wider pitch at old Trafford may be a factor as well as the fans. Anyone know how wide old Trafford is compared to other pitches and importantly! – to Wembly and barca pitches! Next job cream the catalans. Actually that sounds quite perverted but u know what I mean.

@ Mg – do not ever start a cult, judging from your posts you would be king of the American south in no time

  114. King Eric says:

Brooka. Superb post mate. How good was it today? Absolutely rocking. Especially after the final whistle. Priceless.

Costas. Hello friend. Excellent isn’t it mate? Get in. We have all been dreaming about the nineteenth and knocking the vermin off their perch. Today was a HUGE step in that direction. As brooka said when the heat is on this team never let us down. Big performances all over the pitch. Yeah just seen those pens. Both definite penalties. Cheating bastard. Honestly Costas after we went two up webb and the linesmen seemed intent in giving the chavs ALL the decisions. Non free kicks in dangerous areas. The pens. Ivanovic. At one point it was a United throw , the linesman infront on north stand held his flag straight out infront till Webb gave the thrown in chelseas way then held his flag in that direction. It was just loads of petty decisions that went all their way. Anyway we did it mate. Reckon we will take Blackburn to the cleaners. Reckon berba may start that after his last performance against them. Talking of the Berb how lovely to see him hugging hernandez and even albert the kitman. You can tell he loves this club. I can’t see him going and I hope I am right.

Gotta feel a bit of sympathy toward ancelotti to be fair. He seems a stand up bloke ,

  115. FletchTHEMAN says:

    United v Chavs 2-1
    Stoke v le Arse 3-1

Says it all about the tope of the league

Ivanovic should have had a second red.
Johny Ferry should have a straight red for a clear hand ball in the the box.

  116. King Eric says:

*he seems a stand up bloke, won the double last year (albeit shouldn’t have) and that silly cunt abramovic is gonna fuck him off get yet another manager in and try and get that elusive european cup which aint gonna happen. Small souless horrible club. Who the fuck are they gonna go for next anyway?

  117. karandravs says:

Anyone know why Evra didnot start today ?

  118. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Just seen the highlights now. How convenient that BBC have left out all the filthy challenges. Doesn’t matter anymore we won. I knew today we had to get a 2 or 3 goal head start to stop the officials screwing us but fuck me 36 seconds! Park was immense today. Absolutely fantastic. Crowd was proper into it, people who usually stay quiet got into it as well. Especially first half and towards the end. Everytime a chelski player had the ball crowd was on their back. I’m exhausted after all the adrenaline pumping through my body. We’ll get that point at Ewood then we can rest players for Champions League Final.

  119. fergie is the boss says:

King Eric – abramovich is awesome, he keeps turning chelsea into a bigger joke every year, its like cook if he owned chelsea

  120. FletchTHEMAN says:

Ancelotti: Yes I think so. First minute actually.

Ha ha ha That guy has so much class. He doesn’t deserve to be saddled
with the chavs. AbramourBitch doesn’t deserve that man and that is just a sad fact.
But that said, Carlo doesn’t have the much in the tactical department. Don’t want any talk of him coming here after John Cherry has finished with him.

That should be Hernandez new number next season, 36! I said last week, take the ref out of the equation, by thumping the rentboys. It was a 2 1 drubbing. Scoreline flattered Chelsea. Goodnight Republik. I can smell number 19.

  124. Costas says:

    @KIng Eric

Berbatov’s attitude was a joy to watch today. He sees the bigger picture more than we do. And I hate bringing him up again, but do you remember Tevez’s attitude when we were in a similar position 2 years ago? All about him. What he has done for us and how we should sign him up. At least this time no one will start silly chants while Fergie is addresing the OT crowd after Blackpool. That’s good to know…

I hope you are right about next Saturday. Get it out of the way as soon as possible. Good opportunity for Berb to redeem himself. And for us to overshadow City’s big day. :) It’s also great to have our fortress back. We beat Arsenal, Chelsea and LIverpool at OT. Twice each.

Ancelotti is going through a lot of crap, but imo it’s simple. Either he takes control of this club or he leaves. As far as rival managers, he’s the most decent one I’ve seen for years.

  125. King Eric says:

NBI. Good post pal. Like you say it all came together in one glorious finale. Excellent.

Costas. Yeah just seen sir bobby clapping and the fergie bowing. The greatest manager bowing to us the fans. What a touch. That’s whayt makes this the best club in the world. Strange mate. Not mant arsenal, lliverpool or city fans on here tonight. Bit disappointed by wakeys stats. Looks like wes won’t be getting a medal. He must have really pissed fergie off pre season as he could have ensured he got a couple more appearances to get a medal. Then again it shows that you still don’t fuck with Fergie.

  126. Costas says:

    @King Eric

Yeah, disappointed about Wes too. I hope he and Fergie will work out their differences and he will stay. He is a valuable member of the squad. But hey, even if he does leave now, he will leave as champion.

Loved Jonny’s cameo as left back. Haven’t seen him so focused in a while.

  127. batmanie says:

  129. fergie is the boss says:

Costas – we said about chelsea’s title victory it was flattering and lucky, and very underwhelming esp their double, the excitement edge and endurance factor was never there, they could never handle a balance, of a fixture pile up when it came to prem and CL. They won the league but they did not deserve the league, united add extra depth to their 2 strongest area’s since they won the league in 2007, in defence and attack. What has happened? united have won the league basically. Buying chris smalling strengthened united’s defence has cover for rio who does pick up injurys, hernandez added depth and cover for rooney and berbatov. It did help berbatov and nani helped out in the assists and the goals, when valencia and rooney were going through a terrible time, through injurys and personal problems.

Costas – Never forgot your post last may, chelsea’s double seems underwhelming

  130. bobbycharlie1968 says:

Was crying when I saw Sir Bobby at the end. That’s what makes us special, it still means this much after all this time. I’m so happy, and Fergie at the end showed why he is special, what an absolutely class gesture, and by far the greatest football manager ever. And what a club. I am so glad to share this special bond with you all, that we support the greatest football club in the world. It has made us laugh and cry and feel all emotions, but at the end of the day you still stick with it and come back for more. What a special day. I am so happy for everyone associated with Manchester United. Now lets secure that 4th European Cup where Sir Bobby won it 43 years ago. How special will that be. So proud to be a Manchester United supporter this day. It’s moments like this that make me fall in love with this club more and more. We’ll never die.

Its days like today you realise what a special club this is. With that atmosphere today and team spirit and hunger and togetherness there isn’t a team in europw that would have beaten us.

  136. McQueen says:

Just realised that’s probably why we’ve been playing Fabio ahead of Rafael recently – to get a medal.

If so then that is brilliant man management from Fergie. Can you imagine the heartache of seeing your twin pick up a Premier League medal and not get one yourself? Absolutely made up that they will both be picking up a medal, top class players.

Just brilliant management, taking the opportunity to develop both the twins over the season, giving each one their stint and allowing them each a chance to build up and maintain form and share in the glory of the team. Top class!

  137. hammons says:

at least chelsea fans know that Torres will be there …

  139. King Eric says:

Fuck off Arry you wideboy cunt. Even talking about the “tapping up“ of pulis when he was at newport. Dodgy bastard. His fucking back handed compliments at fergie and United with his “only alex could have won it with THIS team“. Fuck off. This team that’s won sixteen games out of seventeen at home and only lost four all season. That’s all we are gonna hear all week. How this poor side have done well. Abu cunts. I love it. Then match of day show a montage of Spurs s season. Why ? Who gives a fuck about those bottling bastards. Showing that one clip of bale against inter and making out he is world class. Also hilarious to see Alan YSB Hansens face. He was genuinely gutted.

  140. lekluh says:

torres- the most expensive bench warmers..hahha

  141. fergie is the boss says:

King Eric – I got to say mate, valencia has done more in 2 months when he returned from his injury, than bale has done all season. Antonia beans valencia put on a PFA and world player of the year performence today, he raped cole today, it was like taking candy from a baby. If bale played like that today, the ABU would be wanking off worser than they usually do. If that was messi performing like valencia today, can you imagine how PPL would be saying. Bale’s PFA player of the year is the biggest joke now esp he is injured, giggs showed bale who truly is the welsh genius

  142. karandravs says:

@fitb.. Do you really care for PFA. When Giggsy got it after 20 years, that itself shows it is a joke ..

  143. King Eric says:

Fitb. Spot on mate. Giggs truly is the master. Such composure. He brings a calmness to our game. Can slow things down when needed. The rentboys have no guile in that midfield. Essien is a shadow. Mikel is just a shit lump and lampard is finished. He was fucked. He was puffing and panting his way through the game. Yeah mate valencia and the return of park have been the difference. Cole just couldn’t deal with him. I love valencia. Always gets a ball in. At times though he could take the shot on. A great team performance.

Scott. Judging by xols link it looks like it could be time for you to put them in their place. What is with the mails totally over the top anti united agenda this season? Its been story after story from these cunts.

  144. fergie is the boss says:

King Eric – I am nick naming giggs the cable guy. Because he links the play from midfield to attack, with the way he is on the move on and off the ball, I do nto think valencia park rooney and hernandes could do the damege they did without giggys invention in the engine room. I love that fergie has mutated 2 formations into 1, we set up 451, and when we break forward and come forward, we mutate back to a 442 it is briiliant

  145. Adavined says:

Calm yourself Chelsea, still have plenty of shirts to redo.

  146. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

I’m bloody confident we’ll beat Barca with this same stories and intensity.

More than the entire game, just look at all the celebrations, we’re a true family team and that’s what names me absolutely proud.

  147. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

Park was fantastically brilliant today. And i know it’s wierd to keep on bringing up Berba but that man is a full class act. Just look at his attitude, the top goal scorer on the bench, without a grouch on his face or any negative comments said by him. There is NO other bench in the football world that celebrates like that when the team scores.

  148. Jeet says:

Good morning, Reds! Well, what do I say…I had been dreaming of this day for 2 years now. And when it happened, yesterday night, I don’t know how to react. It’s too profound, all the struggles, all the injustices, all the jibes and insults, all the doubts and the pain – UNITED, we have answered them. I just feel a curious sense of calm, of serene happiness. It’s almost anticlimatic, this is not how I behave after a big win, but what UNITED did yesterday deserves even more respect than joyous celebrations. When the final whistle blew I could feel the tears come into my eyes – it means way too much. This is for our legends, Sir Matt Musby and the Babes, for George Best, for Sir Bobby, for Sir Alex, this is for Eric Cantona, this is for our current legends – this is for Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, this is for Gary Neville and Edwin Van Der Sir. As we look into the future, this is also for the likes of Nani, Chicharito, Valencia, Rooney and the Da Silva twins. This is also for the much maligned Carrick, Gibson, OShea, Fletcher, Anderson who stuck on in the face of harsh criticism and never ceased to BELIEVE. This is also for the fans who stuck together through thick and thin. THIS is for EVERYBODY, THIS is for UNITED.

  149. Utd4life says:

@jeet..top post Mate..this title means more to the likes of Sir Bobby, SAF and to fans like Giles, CedarsDevil who had to endure the agony of watching L’pool dominate UTD in the 70′s and 80′s but still stuck with the team and continued believing..for a newbie like me, I will cherish this moment but only because I understood the history of UTD..this title is for all those people who never gave up on this magnificent club..Today, you have been duly rewarded..

  150. Jeet says:

@Utd4life: Thanks, mate – and I agree with you – it means much more to fans like Giles Oakley and legends like Sir Bobby. And with that context, let me shout out RoM and the fantastic band of Red brothers we have here. I got hooked to United in the late 90s. I did know about George Best, Bobby Charlton and Brian Robson, and had heard about Munich, but when I started reading RoM about 3 years back, my schooling in the history of the club, it’s legacy and what it means to be a United fan progressed significantly. Let me tell you, I thought twice about writing that post because not being old enough to have lived those days, it could make you look like a bit of a poser. In the end I decided to write what I felt, because in spite of not having the priviledge to have known and supported United through childhood, thanks to RoM, I feel one with the older fans, with the history and with the larger, more profound meaning of being UNITED. So thank you RoM and all you fantastic guys on here – you mean a lot.

I’m too happy and too excited to post anything concrete, after seeing most of you giving due credit to everyone at the club I just felt like I have to add one glowing self praise to myself and some few posters like King Eric who stood with “Michael Carrick” through out everything and defended him, I sincerely thank him for repaying our trust through his brilliant performances and for all you who wanted him out I just want to tell one important stat about him that in all the years he is with us he has always performed brilliantly towards the later half of the season and this is no coincidence that as a team also we tend to change the gears towards later parts of the season

  153. LucasUTD says:

  164. shebangsthedrums says:

Good morning everyone, still buzzing from yesterdays result and performance. There wasn’t a bad performer in a red shirt. Replacing players doesn’t worry me cos there’s always someone else that comes along, replacing Sir Alex will be far more dificult, he’s a much rarer breed who’ll never be replaced, especially in the hearts of us United fans.
On a different topic, do you think Song will be punished for sticking his elbow in Huths face?

  165. ancha says:

    cedars

if not this nothing can hold you up buddy, the best thing that happened to me in my life is Manchester united and I thank god for that as our family isn’t into footie and I didn’t inherit the love for united from parents but from within myself

Really happy to know all is well my friend, your passion for United is an inspiration which you should pass on….. I did inherit the love for United from my late father who lived and worked in Manchester in the 50′s, even met the late Duncan Edwards and was at Wembley when we won our first European cup. The stories he told me about the Babes will forever be in my heart…

    United

  171. Costas says:

    @FITB

Hi mate. Did I call their title win underwhelming. Don’t even remember that, lol. But yeah, I always felt that our injury problems as well as the referee decisions tilted the title race in their favour. Aside from a few thumpings, they weren’t that impressive. Look at their performance at OT 13 months ago. It wasn’t any better than yesterday’s. It was that raised our game. Plus, Rooney played this time and the fans were really up for it. I love how no one escapes OT this season. I can’t remember the last time we didn’t lose one single game at OT all season.

That being said, I am sure that Chelsea fans will feel that their long running bleep back in the fall caused them the title. It’s a 2 way street. So they will also find out title win underwhelming. Nothing wrong with that.

    @ancha

Hi mate. Yep. Carrick, Evans, Park and Sheasy stepped up big time yesterday. Proud of all of them. A year is a long time, but it will take more than that for me to forget all the bile that was directed their way.

Oh and a special mention to Tony V. Other players get the plaudits. Berba and Nani for keeping us alive in the first half of the season and Rooney and Hernandez for picking up the slack in the second half. But in my opinion, Valencia’s return made a huge difference. We are a different team with him.

  172. CedarsDevil says:

Number 19 is for the Babes, its for Bryan Robson (Get well soon buddy), its for those who lost their lives in Munich, its for the great man that is Sir Alex and its for all those who love the club with a passion

@Cedars..Thats what I think about them Mate..I fall asleep when I watch them play..I would much rather watch Stoke play..Thats how bloody boring they are..When we beat them on May 28th, it will be a victory for the sport..Its time for redemption..

  176. CedarsDevil says:

    Utd4life

I agree mate, just hope Platini is not reading this blog!! lol

  177. Costas says:

    @Cedars

I am saving the kebabs for the Blackpool game. The day of my birthday. :) It’s a great feeling, no doubt. I am just a bit cautious until we get that last point. But after such a long and grueling season, it’s good to know that having faith in these players was rewarded. And that’s why I always said lets wait until May before we end their careers over here. Because they could make us eat our words.

  178. CedarsDevil says:

    Costas

Keep some for me my friend….. A few more points about the game, who won the header in defense that led to our first goal? JOS Who thread killer passes all afternoon? Carrick Who played his socks off the field? Park

I totally agree with you buddy, some come on here and just slag off players but I tell you what, they are clueless about the game and our club
