PICTURE: De Gea Medical Not Kept Quiet

David De Gea is at Carrington having his medical with Manchester United.

Having won the U-21 European Championships, De Gea can now concentrate on his domestic future. His signing has from Atletico Madrid has been the worst kept secret in football, right up until the day of his medical, with his people failing at keeping him hidden upon his arrival.

FUCK they forgot to buy a longer blanket LOL.

  4. jayrannasaurus says:

    Fantastic, finally!

  5. Costas says:

Nice job with the blanket cover up. ;)

  6. Mozza79 says:

Why on earth try and cover it up when it’s common knowledge to everyone on earth that he’s signing?

  7. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Worst cover-up in the history of football maybe. :P

  8. CedarsDevil says:

So glad we have finally singed another striker, this kid with Hernandez will finally beat Barce

  9. juancullo says:

hes only arrived and already he has a clean sheet :-)

  10. pbul2004 says:

    NICE ASS!!!!!

  11. TheRedsOfManchester says:

I just saw the pictures from daily mail and now it’s all over the sites. Pretty impressive stuff. So glad he’s finally signing for Man Utd. Sir Alex is not getting this wrong, signing him means he can fully concentrate on club football cause he’s not going to be spain number 1 as long as casillas is alive. Great signings! Cheers!

  12. Gary says:

Really excited about this signing. He’s got bag loads of ability and can keep improving, if he makes a mistake which he’s bound to with the nature of his position and his young age we have to back him because I have no doubt he is United’s and Spain’s long term number one.

  13. Colbert says:

    @juancullo

    Hahaha! COTD

  14. gerkeo says:

    @juancullo: nice one

  15. Cyril Sneer says:

    Sell him, buy Gomes.

  16. willierednut says:

Very cloak and dagger? We knew already! Just echo Gary’s post, great coup by the club to get this lad. Big shoes and gloves to fill. He’ll need time to settle, but I think he’s the real deal.

  17. utdforever says:

    LOL juancullo 15:26

  18. Costas says:

Yeah, one of the sheet guys does seem to have a nice ass. :)

  19. Devil Is Red 19 says:

Dea Gea, Smalling, Jones, Fabio, Rafaelunder them Tunnicliffe, Pogba, Morrison

    Futures bright, Futures blood red

  20. bobkoh says:

    make that 2 clean sheets!

  21. ClaytonBlackmoresTan says:

    @ juancullo

    skillage.

    Number 1 for fifteen years.

  22. NotoriousRedDevil says:

A bedsheet? His entourage bunch of useless morons would have brought less attention if they showed up in a Fiesta without the bedsheet. This was reported way back in Feb by Ballague and Graham Hunter and although not popular with many on here those two are proper journos they get their shit spot on. One more player needed now in centre of the park and then the only transfer activity will be players going out.

  23. TheRedsOfManchester says:

and i hope the rumour liking us to thiago of barca is real. He’s the real deal in midfield. His passing is almost scholes-like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STzeekJHjuA

  24. TheRadLegion says:

    Good job, I don’t see a thing.

  25. TheRedsOfManchester says:

    *linking

  26. Dandivine7 says:

It looked like They were trying to perform magic with De Gea

  27. pbul2004 says:

Also heard that Spurs have accepted at 35m bid from United for Modric and player is to undergo medical on Thursday!!!! :-)

    PLEASE be true!!!

  28. willierednut says:

Clean sheet already lol. @NRD Exactly. They get stick, but this one called long ago.

  29. Costas says:

    35 mil? Too much.

  30. EdRed says:

    Wicked…. ! Excellent deal….!

So is that our three signing done?

  31. pbul2004 says:

it is a hell of a lot for Modric but its what we need, and hes got prem experience and i would hate to see him at Chelsea!!

Hope this isnt the 3 signings all done…..surely there has to be ONE more for center mid!

Its been weak for years now, got to be addressed!!!

  32. Utd4life says:

Best secret signing ever to be made:Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez

  33. wayne says:

hiding de gea from the paps, thats fantastic, now 20mill for nasri and utd will be set lol

  34. fergie is the boss says:

Like we said ages ago, this was the player united were signing, unlike wenger fergie was never going to be to smart and find some cheap alternative, to try and justify his so called brains in the transfer market. His age and experience are the only 2 doubts over de gea, but united have to sign a CM from somewhere.

  35. Louis says:

nice! now all we need is a midfielder and we are ready for next season. I know im ready.

  36. TheRedsOfManchester says:

@pbul2004 – not doubting you but can quote your source? =) I would very much rather have thiago for 20 mil less.

  37. WHAT ??? says:

    Lmao @ Clean Sheet

    Welcome to Manchester United David.

I think he’ll have a long and illustrious career – you can’y help but love this Club.

  38. Ash says:

Welcome to manchester United son.Who cares what will happen in 5 year time.
Even if he decides to go we can demand huge money from madrid or barca.
    VAN DE GEA

  39. fergie is the boss says:

wayne – yea LOL, that was fail from carrington

  40. Mac says:

that one is done we now want Thiago and Nasir then let the season begin !!!!!!

  41. fergie is the boss says:

Ash – well w=our hope is, barcadivers and the fascist seem to have keepers that will last them years, casillas is 29 and valdes is I think 25 26 or older not sure yet. So we could have him for the rest of his career, well at-least till he is 30

  42. denton davey says:

TheRedsOfManchster @ 15:37: ” i hope the rumour liking us to thiago of barca is real. He’s the real deal in midfield. His passing is almost scholes-like.”

    Very interesting.

There’s an old saying among ice-hockey gurus: “if you can’t beat them on the field, then beat them up in the alley”.

Relevance ? It looks like Barcelona are in a tight corner financially with their huge wage-bill, almost-stagnant revenues and growing debt; it also looks young Thiago is game-ready but has his way-ahead blocked by Xavi, Iniesta, Biscuits, Pedro, Messi, Villa and, maybe, Cesc and ?? Alexis Sanchez ??

SO Thiago just might be a ripe plum, ripe for the picking. No question, this kid fits the bill in terms of ability, age and estimated-price.

  43. BerbaGod says:

Very happy! Glad he’s finally here, fresh from the European U21 glory! Can’t wait to see him and the rest of the boys in pre-season action! Tres excited!

  44. DeanStrauss says:

Is that Arsene Wenger (far right hand side, holding up the sheet)??

    Holy shit!

  45. Ash says:

I would love if we sign another exciting spanish player like mata or thiago or javi martinez.
We will buy one more player as we failed to get varane.

  46. BerbaGod says:

@ denton – Yes plus he’s Spanish (plus a bit of everything else), could be the one coming over to make settling down in a new foreign environment that much easier for De Gea and vice versa.

  47. WHAT ??? says:

You What? Just Juan Sheet!!??

  48. Zelh says:

even if he has his medical today he’ll sign at July 1st.

  49. pbul2004 says:

not the most reliable source but from twitter lol @manchesterunews – its where i found out about De Gea on the previous blog post.

I’ll take it with a pinch of salt but i too would prefer Thiago for 20mil less, but ive only seen him play once (sat night).

    Modric is proven though!

As long as we get someone!

  50. DeanStrauss says:

So come July 1st, I’m sure we’ll get the pics of Gill/SAF/Jones/AYoung/DeGea holding up their United shirts.

  51. Kings says:

Zelh – Yeah only a few days away my friend.

  52. stubiedoo says:

All these young players at OT while chelsea make an order for 11 zimmer frames.

  53. MUFCJord says:

great signing Fergie! Now go get us Modric!

  54. Alom says:

LOL they should have just made De Gea where a hoody and go in.. it would have brought less attention than a massive friggin white sheet that failed anyway

  55. King Eric says:

Welcome David lad. Had very little to do in Denmark but pulled off saves when needed which is difficult if you are redundant for 85 minutes. His kicking and general distribution and his calmness are top drawer. Prefer him to Neur who made a real fucking hash of things at OT.

NRD – Hello mate, hows things? Have to disagree about Rafa’s bumboy and that egghead cunt Hunter being proper journalists. Ballague gets it wrong a hell of a lot of the time.

  56. willierednut says:

No fucking around with the club this summer.

  57. MG says:

    I didn’t see it

  58. King Eric says:

I would be fucking mortified if we spent 35 million on Modric. Piss take.

  59. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Bien venido a Manchester hijo!!

this is best news of the day.

@Balaji Sivaraman 15:26: Good one mate! Ha ha ha

  60. King Eric says:

I am sorry but this “weak midfield for years” tag really annoys me. How the fuck have we won what we have the last 5 years then? I hope we do get a midfielder but really this bandwagon jumping of weak for years is ott imo.

  61. MG says:

Does that look like Megan fox with her back towards us?

Just for willie that was :D

  62. mrslimyy says:

Ok the assssss is yummy i guess they used her as bate to lure the classy spanish stopper!

  63. Kings says:

King Eric – Hello mate. Yeah this lad is top drawer, ticks all the right boxes. He had a catching success rate of 97% last season.

  64. BerbaGod says:

As much as I would love Modric, £35m is way too much – and that looks like its going to be the minimum someone is going to have to pay. Could get Javi Martinez and Thiago for that with a few million to spare!

  65. The Fly says:

    he’s already got a clean sheet……………….

  66. dean says:

thank god the sheet didnt cover up that ass… my oh my

  67. MG says:

    King Eric

Sorry to correct you mate but it’s not a weak midfield according to those who call it – it is actually a non existent midfield ;)

Now by winning what we have done without a midfield is football miracle – wonder what we could do with an apparent midfield.

  68. fergie is the boss says:

King Eric – alright mate, would not be dissapointed if we signed modric, has a combo of modric and carrick would be sensational. But for me the only player that needs to be replaced long term is carrick, has if anderson and fletcher regain their form for the new season we will fly towards title no20

  69. sachu says:

    @king eric
    me too, mate.
but these days nobodys worth the quoted price
to be honest i dont think spurs will sel him for 35 million

  70. willierednut says:

    MG – Cheers mate. ;)

  71. ididnotzeeit says:

I certainly hope that’s not Megan Fox. Someone get that bird a steak!!!

  72. Gary says:

Have to agree with King Eric. I put Modric on a par with our very own Anderson when it comes to shooting! Neat and tidy player, but the stats will show he has little afffect in the final 3rd. There are better options else where no need to panic over the center midfield situation. I’m sure Fergie has his sights set on someone and is working on it.

  73. bb3 says:

no comment between de gea and a clean sheet? son i am disappoint.

  74. wiuru says:

Lets hope this fellah is another legend in the making . Regarding Thiago again lets hope Arsenal are not in a player and cash situation for Fabregas !

  75. willierednut says:

I’ll take her out for a stake dinner lol.

  76. ididnotzeeit says:

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to get bent over by Levy and Co. for Modric. 35 million’s a hell of a lot of money. BUT, when ever you think a midfielder’s expensive, recite back what it took Shitty to bring in Barry and Milner.

Hahahahahah, let’s all laugh at City!

    Avergae Footballer = 10 Million
    English Premium = 10 Million
Having to Ply Your Trade at The Wastelands Premium = 10+ Million

It’s all starting to make sense now.

  77. sachu says:

    @FITB
mate , are you sure valdes is 25 or 26.. looks 40
anyway WELCOME DAVID DE GEAOR VAN DE GEA
i have heard that people from athletico madrid hate real madrid , so he shouldnt have a madrid dream.

  78. TheRedsOfManchester says:

denton davey @ 15:54: glad someone share my views. He don’t stand a chance for the first team in the years to come even if he’s only 20. There’s xavi and iniesta obviously and arsenal alr reveal cesc can go for the right price and he’s only 24. So man utd have a good chance if they really go for him with a 15million bid. If you watched the video, he replaced xavi against villarreal(who is a good european club) and slot in seamlessly. People may say cause it’s a barca team with superstar but then again can you imagine gibson doing the same thing for man utd say against spurs and have the same impact? I doubt so. Hope we get him! =)

  79. T4M says:

Already keeping the clean sheets ;)

  80. sachu says:

    sign thiagooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  81. aimanunited says:

Never been so excited with transfer market before but this year is one of the rare sir alex spending spree… still got more than a month before the league starts… i wonder how many more players will arrive before that… Also it seems like sir alex wasn’t holding on and want to sign his target as soon as possible, probably hoping the player can get sometime together during pre-season… I hope de gea can adapt to english game quickly and step up as Van Der Gea! :)

  82. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ King Eric. I’m okay mate been busy and got fed up of a lot of the comments on here after a certain date in May so took a sabbatical. Agree to disagree about the spanish journos, they seem to get everything right with the stories I follow. On your side with Modric for the prices people are quoting not worth it. Rather we play Tunnicliffe and Pogba and win nothing for a bit then spend £25 million+ on the lovechild of Worzel Gummidge and Cruella de Vil. I’m still annoyed on how we may have spent £17 million on Young for me thats £5 million too much and giving in to Venkys Chicken FC’s demands by agreeing the £5 million in add ons.

  83. willierednut says:

When Fergie says, that’s our business done, I’ll take that as a given.

  84. sachu says:

    @the reds of manchester
    mate , spot on
thiago for 15 million is bargain
and he will fit in beautifully and among the spanish under 21 team there 3 quality players who can make an instant impact.
they are thiago , javi martinez and juan mata .
it will be nice if we can get 1 among them.

  85. fergie is the boss says:

sachu – was making guesses on some ages, he is 29

  86. wayne says:

modric for 35mill seems a little cheap to me i’m sure that must include berba as a throw in

  87. Ash says:

    @FITB
I hope you are right that de gea finishes his career at united.I really doubt whether real will not bid for de gea.Frankly speaking they don’t care about their players.Look at how they treated Their legend Raul.
So I feel they willa lso treat casilas the same way.
When de gea wins a european cup with us they will want him.I hope we don’t sell him but if we have to then ask real for huge money.
But why should we too bothered about the future.Lets enjoy the present.

  88. aimanunited says:

I know this is impossible but if arsenal want to sell fabregas for 35 mil pound, who will you take?
Sneijder also was valued between 30-35 mil. Thiago or whoever didn’t fall in this vote…
    1) Modric
    2) Sneider
    3) Fabregas

    :D

  89. TheRedsOfManchester says:

@sachu: Agreed. The u21 midfield seems to be a replica of the senior team. He is a bargain now and his passing seems to be better than modric. Just maybe unsure if he can get used to the pace of premier league but if he can control the game like xavi and iniesta do then he will have no problem.

  90. sachu says:

    @willie
mate , de gea was done before the summer even started .
also young was done some time ago before he went for holidays.
and i dont think jones was asigning planned for this season
so there is ATLEAST 1 MORE.
i wont be com plaining if its THIAGO.
there is a good chance that could happen .

  91. wayne says:

lol at the way sachu gets excited about every rumor

  92. BerbaGod says:

Spain have got a hell of alot of good goalkeepers at their helm at this moment in time – their number 4, 5 and 6 are a WAY better than England’s 1, 2 and 3.

  93. sachu says:

    @aimanunited
sneijder is definetely 50 million . maybe more.
thats just rubbish rumours. even pastore is worth 44 million

  94. Stevie the CUNT says:

Good thing De Gea is signing for us. If he had gone to Chelski, the cunt Terry would be drooling at that tight ass.
    Welcome David………

  95. King Eric says:

Oh come on lads. Javi Martinez is now getting hero status after 3 good games in a piss poor under 21 tournamnet. Thank fuck Fergie doesnt scout like that else we would land more Karel Poborskys and arrogant Jordi Cruyffs. Now Juan Mata on the other hand…………………………

  96. willierednut says:

Wayne – I’m excited mate! Lol. Seriously, we’ve done our business on the low. No messing around.

  97. sachu says:

    @wayne
you are right about that mate.
also i get irritated wen it doesnt happen.
i think our next signing will be thiago or nasri.

  98. TheRedsOfManchester says:

Thiago for me. Wouldn’t mind juan mate but he will be expensive as valencia need money desperately.

  99. wayne says:

@willie yes mate think the young deal was pretty well done in january and de gea for a few months, like you said earlier jones had to make the move.not hearing much from sir alex seems very calm about the midfield situation i’m begining to wonder if he already has a deal done for someone or if he feels he has the horses already

  100. willierednut says:

Arsenal are in for Mata. I wouldn’t rule out Fergie going down that line, to help De gea settle quicker.

  101. FletchTHEMAN says:

Berba God, Their international Basketball and Volleyball teams are also top drawer, indicating that they have an extensive array of top class lads with serious height. When you have that type of player in a diversity of competitive sports, then you can pick and choose which to develop for each. I have said for years that Peter Crouch should have gone out for keeper as the lad has serious foot skills. But the fact that he is the only one you might single out, says alot about what engand are bringing through.

  102. sachu says:

    @willie
thats exactly wat i think mate.
if arsenal have indeed made abid for mata, then fabregas or nasri is leaving.
de gea and thiago will be nice.

  103. dannysoya says:

still think we should have signed david silva when we had the chance but oh well no point crying over spilled milk. yep either modric , sneijder or thiago the rest can fuck off. no way in hell that i want nasri or fabregay in our team.

  104. Ferane Mauritius` says:

The one and only ROM!!!!! Infact no secret can be kept from ROM

  105. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

Hello David De Dea, Welcome to the Best Club in the World !

“Every City needs a White Knight” Stick him in midfield with that White Cape He could do us wonders.

Speaking of wonders, I wonder who that Woman is? :P

  106. Kings says:

willierednut – Very impressed with Mata at that tournament mate, but I have seen him in action long before that. I always thought he was the better of the trio at Valencia when they were together. As I mentioned in one of my posts about elite players I take notice of outside of United, he is one of them.

  107. sachu says:

    @dannysoya
fabregay is a nice one ha ha
we have spend fucking 55 million JESUS CHRIST.
we are the new SUGAR DADDY OF THE WORLD.
    SIGN EVERYONE.

  108. redevil_83 says:

barca would be nuts to let thiago alcantara go. he is xavi’s ready made replacement.

i don’t see fergie splashing on a center mid unfortunately .as dire as our need there may be. just too expensive a hole to fill . we’ll bank on anderson or cleverley for a breaktrhough yr next season!

  109. soleire says:

    Check out your ones hole!

  110. sachu says:

i hope ARSENAL WONT EVEN GET MATAS UNDERWEAR.
mata for 20 -25 million is a bargain. and valencia are in financial crisis.

  111. TheRedsOfManchester says:

@redevil_83: if he is xavi ready made replacement they won’t be crazy trying to sign cesc and sanchez for that kind of money mentioned. They would have promote him to the first team this season. I don’t think they trust him enough yet to promote him so i think man utd got a chance there. Even more so if they sign cesc!

  112. BerbaGod says:

Mata will be moving clubs, wonder where though?. Can’t see it being us after the Young signing. Classy little player. It’s a shame the Virus let him go!

  113. soren says:

This season will be very interesting. Welcome De Gea, another nice guy :)
    off toppic.
    Commercial Chicharito kid
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYil_h797Bo

  114. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Dannysoya, respectfully disagree

I find the thought of that nancy boy Nasri in a United kit appauling. BUT, as much as I hate Arsenal and everything about them, to say I wouldn’t want Fabregas in our midfield would be a complete load of rubbish. The lad’s a stud midfielder and would walk right clear into our starting XI, full stop.

  115. sachu says:

    @red devil 83
mate, we had to sell rossi and pique.
rossi was going to be a star but he didnt get his chances here . so sir alex had no choice.
similarly if as expected barca sign fabregas or sanchez or both ,then thiago will realise that he wont get into the team for atleast 5 years.maybe more.
if he doesnt realise that then he is retarded.
i dont know whether we will get him but i do think they wil sell him and put in a buy back clause like we did with rossi

  116. sachu says:

    @berbagod
mate , we tried for sanchez , maybe we still are.
so dont rule out mata. eventhough we have young we might go for him . he can play through the middle like nasri

  117. redevil_83 says:

in theory this nasri-fabregas-thiago link all seems to make sense. but i don’t know how so in united’s favor. lets be real. sneijder and modric price tags are out of the question. nasri is low balling arsenal he won’t move especially since fagrebas is likely to depart. for some reason if we do get thiago, i have a feeling there would be a buy-back clause and short term down the line, the brasilian-italian-spaniard will be egging to go back to barcelona.

  118. keano99 says:

Modric rumour is all bullshit lads. Welcome to our new number 1 u have big gloves to fill lad

  119. Balaji Sivaraman says:

This is the photo of David De Gea’s GF. It could be the one with the back turned in the photo.

    http://fywags.tumblr.com/post/5133625886/david-de-geas-girlfriend-is-smoking-hot

We finally got ourselves a hot WAG ladies and gentleman.

  120. Costas says:

I hear that the transfer fee is around 18 mil. Could have been worse. If this guy lives up to the potential everyone says he has, then 18 million could be a bargain. I remember someone being worried that De Gea will develop into a brilliant goalie and in 5-6 years’ time (when he starts reaching his peak), he’ll want to go back to Spain. It happens more often than not unfortunately. Pique, Fabregas…

  121. redevil_83 says:

exactly my point. i don’t see the gaffer getting bossed around by other clubs with buy-back clauses. if we make a move for center mid, it will be as a good long term solution. not a case where there’s a risk the player leaves after 3-4 years

  122. willierednut says:

Kings – He’s a top player mate. I’ve heard 18 million being quoted for him? A lot of teams will be interested in his services.

  123. aimanunited says:

If you guys are boring at home and got nothing to do, how about watch how our youngsters won the youth cup last season..

    http://motd2u.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-fa-youth-cup-was-won-mutv.html

hope some of them will be promoted next season…

  124. Zelh says:

Balaji – no that’s not her on the picture. that just the interpreter.

problem with spaniards is you never know when they find their love for barca or the virus.
at least de gea is atletico through and through and won’t go to the virus.

  125. TheRedsOfManchester says:

@redevil_83: Agreed mate on that point you made…but with rossi buy back clause and united still didn’t activate it cause we have chicharito already. My point is even with buy back clause they are always going to be better or equally good players coming out every year. If we don’t try we don’t know. Cheers mate!

  126. Kings says:

willierednut – That is an absolute bargain for a player of his ability mate.

  127. Stevie the CUNT says:

Arsenal pays shit salary and low signing fees.
Only can hijack young kids from other clubs.
Any player over 20mil is not likely to sign for the Arses.

This Thiago kid is super from the clips. Chicharito is going to score 50 goals with him providing the assists.

    SIGN HIM UP FERGIE!!!

Screw Snieder, Modric and Lassana or whatever his name is. Over-priced assholes who dont want to play for us.

  128. sachu says:

    @costas
mate. GK has longer life span.
and valdes is 29 . so he should be there for 10 years.
also athletico madrid plyers hate real madrid.
so i dont think it will be a problem.
having watched de gea alot , iam certain he is going to be great.
our best signing of the summer even if we sign sneijder.
so even if barca come in 10 years his value should be 50 million.

  129. sachu says:

    @willie
mate, do u think valencia will sell mata for 18 million.
jesus christ i dont know the valencia president. but i dont think retarded people can become president.
initially sanchez was quoted at 30 millon now he is 50 million and will be sold for 1 billion
    so mata for 18 million
even henderson was 20 plus and apparently downing is 20 million ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  130. Zelh says:

wow that signing is out of the blue!
    there were no rumours!
    woooooow.

  131. Once a DEVIL always a Red DEVIL. says:

Great Signing .. only weakness is set pieces .. hope he works on that.

  132. Red Neville says:

    David ‘Lightning’ Gill strikes again!

  133. sachu says:

    BREAKING NEWS

JUAN MATAS AGENT WHO IS HIS FATHER HAS SAID THAT THERE IS NO OFFER FROM ARSENAL.
AND CESC FABREGAS IS ON HIS WAY TO FUCKALONA.
    SO NASRI PROBABLY STAYS.

    OUR LATEST RUMOUR IS THIAGO
AND HE IS NOT 40 MILLOON

  134. Zelh says:

even english female goalkeeper are shite

  135. Fred says:

Fuck English goalkeeper, we have Spanish goalkeeper.

  136. Zelh says:

so de gea will go on holidays and sign if he’s back.

  137. WHAT ??? says:

that shit cracks me up, they are taking the right royal piss Lol

Welcome to England De Gea, hope you brought thick skin with you! ;)

  138. Zibbie says:

Yes that make 3 !!!! Awesome get them in for the US tour get them settled.
    FUCK YES !!!
WELCOME LAD !!!! WORLDS BEST YOUNG KEEPER IS NOW RED !!!!!

I wiill see you in Chicago!

  139. WHAT ??? says:

    Lmao @ Fred

  140. Fred says:

    THIAGO ALCANTARA WELCOME TO MU!

  141. sachu says:

    @FRED
abt time we signed some spanish players. after all they are the world champions.
i realy hope we make our midfield signing before pre season starts on july 4

  142. sachu says:

    @fred
    has he arrived?
    r u dreaming?

  143. jason gerrard says:

looking at the arse on his girl he cant keep any clean sheets at home.

  144. Zibbie says:

I’m a little high on the news. Not thc induced either. To early in the day for that.

  145. Robbinhood Savage says:

Excited about De Gea. I hope he performs as per his expectations.
That Modric rumour is absolutely fake. I doubt Levy and Harry would easily give in. Thiago looks a better option. He s already compared to Fabregas and Xavi. But i am sure Barca wont let him go to thier main champions league rival. There is always a possibility of Thiago leavin us for Barca after 3-4 seasons.

Meanwhile dear Harry would surely come up with this quote in the papers-’ you know, we tried to sign De Gea before United’ :D

  146. moscow JT says:

how come nobody is asking whether thiago can play in a 2-man midfield just as you did in ozil’s case? or did you hate him because of his frog eyes?

  147. Fred says:

YES THIS IS A DREAM BUT I KNOW IT WILL COME TRUE! WELCOME TO OLD TRAFFORD, THIAGO!

  148. Zibbie says:

I know a normal thought is who’s next. I would suggest to revile in SAF and Gill’s work with the best scouting system in the world. As so many level headed long lived Man Utd fans have told us, In SAF they trust. As a FNG of 8 years to this club I have noticed every 3-5 years Man Utd buy big going back to Robbo for a record British signing of 1.5 million. Then I was made aware SAF has spent 20 million + on only 4 players. With help from others I have tempered my TSO with knowledge of the RoM Regulars, and I thank you for that.

    GO De GEA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    GO ROONEY !!!!!!!

  149. Jesmonta says:

All we have to do now is get a world class Midfielder and we are done with transfers. The clean up is next……. Gibbo,Shesea,Browney,Kiko,Kuscat, and Diuof. Keep Nani, Evans and Berba. we need depth and quality…Evans could be our backup for Evra. The Twins are good but get injured very frequent so we need backup for them. Maybe that is why Izaguirre is being mentioned.

  150. Zibbie says:

    Fred make it so.

  151. Fred says:

Zibbie, I know what you mean. I am high as a kite because of this news and I don’t think I’ll come down for a good while yet. This is one of the greatest days of my life! Welcome, David! Welcome, welcome, welcome, a thousand times WELCOME! I’m filling up here…

  152. Zibbie says:

As I have read back there was the mention of not to much work for De Gea to do, but when called on he looked good. More the same in his future with Man Utd philosophy of winning championships from the back going forward. He will have Vidic, Rio, Evra and more how cool is that. If his weakness is the 6 yard box, well I’m sure the Gaffer knows this and will be worked on every day to make that a strength!

  153. johnbosco obiora says:

De Gea you are welcome to old trafford, we wish you goodluck be happy

  154. Zibbie says:

Fred I became a BEPL and Man Utd fan in 2002, I never experienced the post Schmichal ear.

  155. Devil310 says:

Thiago is like a Mini-Scholesy….sign him up!

…i agree with King Eric, paying 35mil for Modric would be borderline moronic

  156. TonyBee says:

have we signed anyone else yet…..

  157. swede says:

Piers Morgan must be gutted the silly old gooner without a trophy for 7 years and counting!

  158. Jeet says:

@pbull – yes, nice buns aint they?

Nice way to end what has been a bad day at work, together with a fucking wierdo on RoM…

van De Gea – Welcome to United!!!

  159. TonyBee says:

This constant buying of players is doing my head in….why cant we stick with what we’ve got…..
SAF is a maroon …keep getting rid of players and the buying of younger fitter players….must we keep having to win every fucking thing….come on lads ….lets have a season where our sky blue neighbours win something and our dear friends at Liverpool and Leeds finally get to end their silver drought….. and not forgetting the wonderful Chelsea……. cant we just let them win something next year…..

NAH …….FUCK THE CUNTING LOT OF THEM …..

  160. Fred says:

Zibbie, you were born just as the Fabien Barthez “era” was ending. Then came those clowns Howard and Carroll (for the record, I always thought Carroll was the better of the two.) When we signed Big Edwin I was as happy as Larry (that’s a British expression.) It was high time we stopped fucking around and bought a PROPER fucking goalkeeper (pardon my French.) That’s exactly what we’ve done this time around. Our defence is going to be like Fort fucking Knox (pardon my fucking Spanish.) Viva De Gea!

  161. Fred says:

Three cunts in the bag already, two English cunts and a Spanish cunt. Fergie will make men of these nancy boys.

I agree with Devil310 and his highness King Eric, I don’t want ratboy Modric at Old Trafford no way, no how. I can’t wait to see what surprises Fergie has in store for us in the next couple of months. :D

  162. fergie is the boss says:

sachu – has long has we get that diamond for the engine room, I don’t care about sanchez, he may turn out to be a top player, but like ronaldo against barca 2 years ago, he was only has good has our inept midfield performance. Always said this, we need a new general for the midfield

  163. Zibbie says:

@Fred your right I’m wrong Howard and Carroll then VDS came and Man Utd won and won and won.

  164. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, Ah, the good ole times. Those were the times when glory supporters turned to London for a while before moving back to Manchester in 2009. :P

There was a comment on Sky Sports:

Sir Alex “buying” the League again.

I guess which ever club he supports he knows doesn’t stand a chance against us. Seriously, might as well hand the League over to us right now.

@Jeet, What a bunch of pervs? *Goes back to staring at De Gea’s girl-friend*

  165. Zibbie says:

I’m so over Sanchez if SAF signs him I will sing his praises. If not next……
Maybe a young Spanish friend for De Gea as mentioned by some here.

  166. Zibbie says:

Life calls back in 10 hours.

  167. TheRedsOfManchester says:

    THIAGOOOooooo……..

  168. fergie is the boss says:

Balaji Sivaraman – pathetic in it, so fergie is not allowed to spend because he is buying the league, yet these plastics, or shitty fans and the annoying chelski scum spend fortunes, look at the gooners, they are desperate for wenger to buy players. Arsenal used to say we made history back in 2004, now they are preaching to everyone that everyone else is buying the league accept for them. This is not international football, it is club football, clubs can buy and sell who ever they want to

  169. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

Balaji- we need a womens team at United :P

  170. Fred says:

Though it has been said many times, many ways – and I know I might get flamed for this – I’d feel a lot better about winning that European Cup with a top creative midfielder in our team. YEAH, I SAID IT!

Don’t worry about the league title (our “bread and butter”) it’s in the bag already. That’s not arrogance, it’s just common sense. In fact, I think I might start celebrating #20 right now.

  171. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@FITB, Yeah, people will never learn even when the stats show that United have spent less than City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool. But what can you expect from the bitters, dippers, rent boys and gooners. I mean, we don’t even give them a sniffing chance do we.

@Papii, Like Sir Alex, I want United to be the best at everything. That means WAGs too. With Nani’s GF already around and De Gea’s being added, I think we are slowly getting there.

  172. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

BREAKING NEWS: UNITED Sign Steven Defour on 5 year contract on a Undisclosed Fee !

    http://manchestairunitedhaveamidfieldsigningyay.com

  173. Vishal S says:

Oh Sir Alex Spent 50 million and bought the league!!
Remember pals, the same amount sometime in january got cska london a player and ONE goal *forgot*
And look at what we’ve got for the same amount.

2/5 of our defence for the next 15 years :O and saved enough to get in young!!

Sometime in 2020 we’d all be saying
” Oh we’ve got them both for less than 40 million” and our neighbours and rivals would be spending 400 million to sign a single player ;-) !

Just read somewhere teddy sheringham joined united from spurs for about 3.5 million on this day!!
    t for the same amount.

  176. MG says:

    BREAKING NEWS:

Manchester United are delighted to announce the signing of MG

With such a versatile array of talent the writer of the year will be a formidable weapon in SAF armoury regarding the gaffers Us against the world philosophy.

MG apparently turned down a chance to write for Barca and Madrid and denied an official approach from no comment Dalglish ;)

    MG wakes up

  177. wayne says:

clint are you taking the piss defour link doesn’t open, the robinho link is from 2008

  178. MG says:

    wayne

It’s ok mate anytime soon Chelsea are going to announce the signing of Torres for 50 million

    Wait.

  179. wayne says:

@MG lol i’m trying to figure out why clint posted that,if defour is true i’ve been saying he could be the player for a while,he made sense in alot of ways

  180. captaink9 says:

Welcome on board De Gea, hopefully….
My work today was done to the highest degree.

  181. MG says:

wayne – that’s clint doing his thing again

I’ve never seen Defour play so cannot comment – though of course those that have say he’s good – well SAF knows I guess – I do remember him sending Defour a get well soon letter – you never know…

For the life of me I never knew Young and Jones were on the United radar – so it will be interesting to see what happens – SAF said that only two or three players would come in – well he would have signed Varane – so that would have made it four – I think the gaffer is buying big this summer and I do believe he isn’t finished…

  182. King Eric says:

captaink9 – Yeah well done lad. You managed to create a shit storm with your pathetic, attention seeking, childish behaviour. You must be so proud. Do us all a favour and fuck off pal.

  183. scan74 says:

Welcome to United all the best David and whilst your getting to know your new teammates im happy to show your missus the sights and sounds of manchester!

  184. wayne says:

@MG like you i haven’t seen much of defour,he’s been on sir alexs radar for a while,23 good passer and he’s flying under the radar, as i said to willie earlier sir alex seems very clam about the midfield situation as if he’s already got a player signed and that wouldn’t be ws or modric.once the hype m/c gets going and all the idiot clubs get involved it becomes a joke.as alot of us have said sir alex throws out red herrings to get the idiots going one way while he’s doing business in another.i’d bet he hasn’t made one bid for sanchez, modric or ws,just press bollocks

  185. Raizzen says:

Its like those 3 dudes who were holding the blanket suddenly realized halfway, ‘there’s no point in doing this! its like everybody except the club and the player themselves who didn’t know’ – So they dropped it

    lol

  186. willierednut says:

Come on Fergie! It’s been about 5 hours since our last signing, who’s next?

  187. lawman10 says:

if the lawman tells you united are about to sign someone,
    don`t doubt him, believe him………………..

  188. Kings says:

captaink9 – Yeah great effort. Something for you to talk about with your pre-school friends tomorrow while having your milk and cookies. Sad pathetic loser.

  189. Fibes says:

If you think the wait for SAF’s star midfield signing is driving you nuts…

…this is how Dalglish & Wenger feel all day, every day.

I’ve come to understand that our gaffer is a 24-hour, 365-day wind up merchant. Football is just a side-line for him, keeps him off the streets.

I’d quite like a ROM t-shirt with a picture of Keegan’s “I’d love it…” face, with the caption “DESTROYED BY FERGIE”

  190. willierednut says:

No Capo, you didn’t achieve much today lad. Sorry ya did, you proved beyond doubt, that you’re a coward and a balloon. Trying to get into an argument, which had fuck all to do with you. People like you will never be accepted on here. Indeed, you proved my point about winding fellow posters up. Cheers mate.

  191. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Sod Modric. Too expensive for the age and what you get for that money. He has also been ruined by the coaching at Spurs that seem to always pick up exciting talent then fuck them over by gettin John the jellied eel seller to fill in some evenings on 5 a side.

Sod Sneijder. He failed at Real Madrid and flourished briefly for Inter Milan when Mourinho managed to spark some life into a tired but otherwise star studded Inter squad. Hes not quite the winner Im expecting at OT.

Tiago could be an option and he has certainly some qualities but what I feel we are lacking is the new Ronaldo, the new Nani. The young kid that comes in with the mind boggling moves. The one that gets us another wave of new young fans and this boy is at Inter.

Guess who? Answers on a post card. i would pay 40 million for this lad to come to OT. (and its obviously not Snieder).

  192. Zelh says:

    Goat – It’s Bellion right?

  193. Fred says:

There’s not a doubt in my mind that the player you are referring to is none other than Philippe Coutinho.

  194. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Well I thought that was the best kept secret in football that, Yes its true people Bellion climbs into a Sneijder outfit and Sulley Muntari helps him zip up and makes sure its a tight fit. He has been trying to get back to OT for years and this was about to even fool Fergie into signing him. Ive even heard that Djemba Djemba is Luca Modric, hes helped by Sandro who just so happens to be Neil Webb.

  195. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    Fred wins the prise.
The boy is exactly what this club could do with in my opinion. I wouldnt at all mind seeing him here.

  196. willierednut says:

    I’ve got it goat! Downing?

  197. mmbuh. says:

really happy about this, thought DeGea might not come, woohoo, great news

i’d love to see us sign 1 more but can we expect it? i’m not sure

  198. Fred says:

Thank you. What is my prize? :D

  199. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

  203. Zelh says:

Goat – Oh I know I know! You must be talking about that boy morrison who scored in front of the kop and has won the FA Youth Cup. Boy what a player. Yeah how great would it be to have so much talent in the youth! Oh wait..

  204. Fred says:

Goat, you can keep the undies and you can keep Pippino YouTubinho or whatever he’s called. He’s CRAP!

  205. RedHarry4Life says:

De Gea was only a decoy for the real person that is doing the secret medical!

    Answers on a postcard.

    My money is on Messi

  206. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

    Oh Coutinhoe ?

The boy is great but he was injured the whole of Last season i think, i read he is part of the future of inter milans success few months back so I doubt anyone will get him.

At 5ft 7, Braziilian & 18? I doubt he’ll settle in the premier league like many south americans but who knows maybe caughtoffside.com may tell Lord Fergie how to do his job & Then “Only God Knows”.

  211. Fred says:

Who was it who posted the Shakira gif on here that time? I may have a couple of beauties for you… ;)

  212. Devil310 says:

Ok….considering we already got the “3 new players” the gaffer said we were surely see come in this summer, the real question is:

Are we really signing a CM?

  213. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Dont you like him Fred. I thought he was quite impressive last year when he had a few oppertunities to play. Non of that ball heading crap, even though if you want to beat Barca then you do need players playing whose skill repotoire is more than just keepy uppy. The boy really does look like he can deliver killer passes. Hes not the finnished article by any means but if your going to spend silly money then Id rather spend it on someone who you could get a return for.
What I dont like is paying 30 million for a 26 year old only for his value to drop below 10 million 4 years later due to his age. More than that an older player would have City style wages and difficult to shift should he not work out as planned. Atleast with Coutinho his wages would be reasonable and a good return could be made on a player of 23 should things not work out for him. There would still be those out in Europe who remembers what promiss he had and would be willing to take the risk on him and just down play his time in England as just that. Vastly different from the continent. To me its a no brainer. Is he better than Modric and Sneijder NOW, no. Have we seen the best of Modric and Sneijder, yes. Could Coutinho surpass both Sneijder and Modric, a very good chance. easy decission to make.

  214. willierednut says:

Don’t know lads, I’m warming to the idea of Nasri. Just need the mega store, to whip up a snood, with a United badge on it. Worse thing that can happen, if he doesn’t perform, we can hang the cunt.

  217. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    @LMAO at The Racist Horse.

BTW, with you guys talking of Tosic, I totally thought Adem Ljajic was the next best thing for Untied. I even tattooed his name in my back. Then Sir Alex totally screwed with me and decided not to sign him.

    In his honor, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mVZUyDJVEg.

  218. Zelh says:

willierednut – according to that guy on talkshite Fergie is desperate to sign the french cunt.

  219. Zelh says:

25m pounds for a player with half a good season in his last year of the contract.
I hope they are totally wrong. I rather see nobody than to splash silly money on him.

  220. Fred says:

    Shakira #2 http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lmlp3aEHi01qb4cgdo1_400.gif

Those should pique the interest of any red-blooded male.

  221. willierednut says:

Zelh – Neil Ashton on talksport, said United are willing to pay 25 million for Nasri. It then works it’s way on to twitter…

  222. dela says:

    @Balaji

Tattooed his name? Oh, that’s premature.

I made a fool of myself bywriting a article titled ‘Zoran Tosic- next number 7′ for a local sports journal. We all know how that story ended.

  223. dela says:

“Nani’s response to a question whether he will link up with fellow countryman Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea was to laugh and ask: ‘Is that a joke?!’

And people want to sell this guy and sign some overrated Chilean gimp.

Thanks, but no thanks. My cow is the best.

  224. Zelh says:

willierednut – If nasri does not sign another contract and wants to join us, give wenger 15m and nothing more. Either we get him or he’ll leave them for nothing.
    I couldn’t care less.

  225. Fred says:

Dela – that Nani comment is great if true. :D

Also, don’t worry about your article “Zoran Tosic – next number 7″. I think at one stage he did make it as high as being our 7th choice left-winger, so your headline wasn’t too wide of the mark.

  226. TonyBee says:

  227. smartalex says:

  228. Fred says:

Nasri’s agent still trying to drum up some interest in his client I see.

  229. swede says:

Great signing and a sign that the up and coming young spaniards wants a bigger challenge out of La Liga. I think this is the start of the end for spanish football who have had their time in the sunshine and nothing lasts forever.

  230. Fred says:

To be honest, my gut feeling on this latest Nasri crap is that it was a complete fabrication on yet another slow day for transfer news. I don’t know why people listen to TalkSport. From where I sit, the whole station appears to be one massive wind-up.

  231. Fred says:

Wow, you really think this one transfer spells the end for Spanish football? Have we just toppled Barca once and for all?

  232. TonyBee says:

    OUCH…..King Eric & Kings taking Captaink9 apart……

best to fuck off quietly K9 ……and change your name ….then come back and don’t be such a clever dick know all FUCKWIT.

  233. fergie is the boss says:

willierednut – the big problem is, he is not a CM. He would strengthen the wide positions, more than the engine room. Which still does not solve the engine room out

  234. Fred says:

Sign Gene Hackman from The Poseidon Adventure

  235. Fred says:

The other problem is that he’s a typical snivelling, spineless, inconsistent Arsenal prima donna fanny. Who wears a snood.

  236. Devil310 says:

@dela – I missed that interview. Was Nani really asked that question? Some of these reporters are truly cunts. Just because the guy is Portuguese doesn’t mean he wants to play under every Portuguese coach that gets recognition. The same thing happened with the whole “Nani would consider playing for Madrid” CRAP! – He was asked if he would like playing upder Mou, and he said “yes, maybe one day” and then those fuckers twist his words as him wanting to leave.

Nani has shown great determination to fight for his place and stay at Manchester. The guy seems to be enjoying his football at United, and the only weakness he has is his maturity, but he showed this year great improvement from previews seasons. He will only get better as far as I’m concern.

FUCK SANCHEZ – WE GOT NANI

  237. Fred says:

It has been brought to my attention that Ashley Young is also a snood-wearer. This displeases me.

  238. willierednut says:

    Hang the cunt!

  239. willierednut says:

Just heard the other person behind the blanket was Paul Daniels.

  240. fergie is the boss says:

Devil310 s – exactly, off course he would say he would love to play for mourinho, that’s natural to how many players would think

  241. David De Gea welcome 2 Manchester is Red says:

    Welcome son..

And least bur formost dont forget Manchester is red

  242. denton davey says:

Isn’t Mourinho going to be the manager of Portugal’s national team after his sojourn at the Bernabeu ends ? perhaps that was why Nani answered as he did. OR, Nani might have insider-information about SAF’s successor !

  243. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

fred – God Bless you !

I knight you Sir Fredo :D

  244. Fred says:

    Only God know the future.

  245. smartalex says:

Scott the Red’s main failing is that he simply ignores problems, and comments made to him.
Then, when eventually he deigns to attend an issue that has been frustrating and angering people for a long time, it is done without explanation or apology. In fact, most times he hasn’t resolved the issue, it has resolved itself. In this common instance he receives undue praise, yet fails to indicate that the issue has not been solved, but still exists.

There is absolutely no doubt that Scott the Red sits in his Ivory Tower and scorns us all.

What other conclusion can be drawn?

Is he too busy to respond to emails, comments, racism, hatred for United, and poisonous comments that are designed to destroy harmony here? No, he is not too busy. That is made abundantly clear on every thread where he asks us to vote for him, and floods us with advertising.

His precious RoM will not survive unless he:

    - Stops fostering Racism
    - Prevents vile slander against Sir Alex, the players, and United in general.
    - Realises that he is equal to each and every one of us.
    - Treats us with a modicum of respect, honesty and transparency.

No one wants to increase his workload. All we want is a little respect.

RoM is probably the most anti-United blog on the internet. Without exception.
It is simply the best place to show hatred for our great club.

The Sun, and News of the World, and RoM. They are the best place to go if you hate United.
They deliberately foster hatred, in order to increase revenue.

I am not here for the articles. I am here to be among United supporters and true Reds.
Now that RoM is over-run with those who hate United, I am no longer the happy browser who always clicks on an advert on each thread to show my support. Instead, I always leave sad and angry, simply slamming the page shut on my way out.

  247. Fred says:

Apparently De Gea got out of the car wearing a Snood. The United security managed to cover up this major faux-pas with the blankets they had handy, before the paparazzi could get a snap of DDG wearing the offending garment.

This is part of Fergie’s blanket ban on Snoods.

  248. Louis says:

Heres a q: if we sign Nasri, will he be allowed to bring his snood with?

  249. willierednut says:

    Louis says, Here a q:

  250. Louis says:

Maybe City will buy Nasri’s snood off us for Mankini at 15 million. SO just 5 million net.

  251. Fred says:

Scott the Red, u just got merked, son.

  252. Louis says:

  257. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

I wonder what the fuck is happening. Why are people having a go at Scott the Red. He produces a blog for ANYONE to voice their opinions on the matter of the day, all for free, and then he gets shat upon. Whats going on here. I realise some people/idiots/arseholes have said some unsavory stuff on here that doesnt agree to the general consesus but why is this an issue for Scott. If you ignore the idiots they will give up and go away. How can we call Wenger mioptic and seeing everything that Arsenal does good or bad be completely faultless and honest, when when a person comes on here and disagrees with the rest on here. The main problem maybe is that the idiots and retards that put their bile on here is rebuffed by brainless individuals that are easily bullied. Probably the same individuals that indulge their whole life through the internet as they are too scared to go outside because a gang of 12 year olds causes them grief.
    Get a grip.
This blogg is for free, if you dont like it sod off. Simple.

  258. Devil310 says:

    @smartalex

Wow….where did that all come from mate? I must say I disagree with you about:

    1) This blog being anti United – There are several people here that slash our players and manager. But they are by far a small minority

    2) StR not answering – this is probably the most popular United blog (or social United site) in the web. Each of his subjects gets an proximately 250-300 responses each. Answering every single comment addressed to him is way too much work. I personally rather he focus his time on bringing us great stories, news and stats than just answering everyone’s question.

    3) Monitoring – Again, there are a few racist cunts out there, but everyone with a brain knows racism is pathetic and simply ignorant. I wouldn’t be against some moderation, if it got out of hand and becomes a norm to abuse people on every single subject….however, that’s not what’s happening. You do see the occational moron reciting some stupid nazzi shit or undermining people for where they’re born. The truth is, racist people are everywhere, and it is sometimes good when they show their faces, so you know who to avoid

  259. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

jokes aside i agree with Mr Goat

I have made similar points about ignoring the testicle-less attention starved fuckers because asking for moderation is pointless on a free speech blog but i would like to see racism cut out because it is a cancer in society…

back to jokes….how long before we are reported to have made a bid for Fabregas who is now For Sale.

  260. willierednut says:

I didn’t need a trip to the butchers today, there’s so much beef on here! Pat Pat Pat!!!!

  261. slim says:

i was shocked after reading smartalex post, put simply i disagree with everything you said. No doubt STR’s blog has a few problems but come on what online meeting place doesn’t. I mean what the fuck do you want him to do. Sit here moderating the all the post? I ‘m sure there are some online kit to guard against spamming and the rest but moderation as far as i know is a whole lot of work. To reiterate, this is a BLOG not a website.
Funny thing is there are a small handful of arseholes who come here to wind people up and even smaller number of “racists”. Even funnier is the way the place goes up in an uproar as if the blog has been flooded with insults about “brown” or “yellow” people.

Just the other day some mug posted a couple of comments about SAF being a cunt and the the viciousness with which STR was criticized was uncalled for. I mean it was one person, one person!!. Then you got poster making far reaching statements like “Stop these people from ROM” and all sorts. Its simple ,some cunt comes on and starts spewing garbage, someone always puts them in their place. King Eric , MG and a whole host of posters on here are very vocal and love this blog to bits always step up when a rat comes in and dirties the place. No need for the OTT reactions in my opinion

  262. parryheid says:

Where does the 20 to 25 mill price for Nasri come from?8 to 12 mill and Arsenal should bite our hand off, if Nasri is moving on and I think he is then Arsenal have no cards to play and Arsene knows it.

  263. Kings says:

Clint-IamYourPapii – That is what all this has stemmed from mate, the racism. Had that not been mentioned, then a shit storm would not have kicked off. I was born here, but my parents are from Sri Lanka, so anything like that makes me erupt. I have absolute zero tolerance for that sort of nonsense and anyone who embraces it is an absolute fucking cunt.

  264. CedarsDevil says:

    Evening all true REDS

  265. Kings says:

CedarsDevil – Evening my friend. No it’s largely been uneventful.

  266. smartalex says:

    GoatinaUnitedShirt, Devil310, Clint-IamYourPapii and Slim

Thank you sirs, for your thoughts and response to my frustrated views.
I certainly love being among true Reds, it makes me very happy.

Ignoring racism or slander against Sir Alex is not an option for me, so I am very unhappy too.

Cunts and mates…. Just saying that to hopefully be accepted and be part of the clique !!

Kings – Good to know my friend, I thought we signed someone or something of the sorts …

smartalex – To a large extent I agree with you my friend, my old blood boils more than anyone when I read all that crap that trolls come on here and spout…. I have recently started to avoid confrontations and the sole purpose of, if you ignore a troll then he or she will fuck off pretty quickly. Having had and as you know an impostor using my name I could only be thankful to STR for dealing with the situation very well and he did communicate with me via email, not once but several times…. Do not be angry my true red buddy, the world if full of sad cunts and its up to people like you and others to keep them at bay

  270. CedarsDevil says:

  271. willierednut says:

Anyone else looking forward to Paul Merson trying to pronounce De gea’s name on soccer Saturday next season? De hea, De huy…

  272. smartalex says:

Thank you for your concern CedarsDevil.

I really don’t want to be angry, or unhappy. When we do react to these despicable comments, other RoM readers express their displeasure at what they consider to be anti-freedom-of-speech.

Here are some other peoples thoughts:

Jesus told of a traveler who was robbed, beaten and left him half dead. The men who did this were wicked and did a very wicked thing. But the Levite and priest allowed this evil to continue unanswered by doing nothing as they each “passed by on the other side”. Fortunately for the traveler there was one man, a Samaritan, who was willing to stand up for what was right.

In the fight against evil there is no middle ground, no gray area, no neutrality. Those who are not actively and vigorously fighting against evil are helping evil to triumph.

When good men do nothing, they are no longer good. Many have the mistaken notion that good is merely the absence of doing that which is wrong. Not so! One is good not merely because he does no evil, but because he is actively working for what is good.

When you allow evil to run rampant through your home, you are harbouring evil.

  273. smartalex says:

Wow! Incredible! That goal from Robson gets better every time i watch it!

Get well Bryan Robson! You are our Captain Marvel, and we will always love you.

  274. Legolas says:

@SmartAlex. Seriously, you just cant let out your frustrations that way. You got to appreciate STR for the work he is doing, you can criticise but dont disrespect him with these accusations. Mind you, we all have our different opinions on any topic or subject. It makes the world colourful and interesting you know.@SmartAlex. Seriously, you just cant let out your frustrations that way. 276. CedarsDevil says:

smartalex – Very touching post my friend and it has made me change back to my old ways. I will no longer allow the mosquito to simply suck my blood and piss off as I have been doing of late, I will revert to my old ways and not rest until I swat the fuck out of the bugger

  277. smartalex says:

Legolas – Thanks for your thoughts. I do appreciate Scott, and I did not disrespect him. In fact I have always been a very vocal defender of Scott, and of RoM. Many attack on Scott have been repelled by me, not him, even when he used to comment daily.

He needs to communicate a little. His lack of response is not because he’s too busy.

  278. Legolas says:

@Smartalex. But Christ also said he who has not sinned should cast the first stone. Christ reached out to the perishing so we also got to tolerate this people and they will be influenced by some of you. Keeping them doesnt change anything..ok, maybe your health. Lol

  279. CedarsDevil says:

Right, on topic…. This De Gea fella we signed, not another winger I hope? I mean how many wingers do we need for fucks sake?

  280. Legolas says:

@Smartalex. Ok, cant disagree with that- him having to communicate more. Enjoy your views and comments though. Cheers!@Smartalex. Ok, cant disagree with that- him having to communicate more. Enjoy your views and comments though. Cheers!

  281. willierednut says:

Smartalex – No one seems to give a fuck mate. You see Costas being attacked for liking a programme ffs. Pound for pound, he’s one of the best posters on here. Not confrontational in the slightest. Great sense of humor, why someone would single him out, is beyond me. The attacks on Fergie and some of the players is the norm these days. In my eyes, that’s par for the course on other United blogs. Never really seen it that much on RoM, until the last 6 months, or so. As I’ve said before, Scott can’t stop all these morons coming on here and spewing their bile. He’s got other interests, besides this blog. Slim makes a decent point mate. We can engage these cretins, or let others on the blog deal with it. Why should it always be you, me, Kings, KE, or Costas fighting that fight? Or, as slim and the goat say, just ignore the clowns. Either way, I’m fed up with this bollox. Goodnight lads.

  282. GG says:

Maybe we’ll be lucky and sign Bastion Schweinsteiger

  283. smartalex says:

Legolas – You say “dont disrespect him with these accusations”

Yet it’s ok to shout to the world “Come to my blog! It’s a United Blog! We are the best United Blog! {Vote for me!} We love United! Come to my Blog!” and then to condone, publish and spread extremely disrespectful accusations against Sir Alex without any rebuke or response.

No sir, this blog may be registered to Scott, but it is part of United, as we all are.

  284. smartalex says:

willierednut, ever the voice of reason. Thanks for always putting yourself on the line by pointing at these malevolent trolls. Goodnight willie! ps Read the latest on Rio at the forum?

Reds – I have said my piece on the duties of true Reds. Thanks for listening.

    Come on United!

  285. fergie is the boss says:

willierednut – My only problem with ROM is, the moderating system. Obvious its a blog so we will get a ton of trolls talking complete BS

  286. CedarsDevil says:

Not wearing a hat but will find one and raise it to smartalex……

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EQ44leLLRE

Another video to put a smile of your face buddy

  287. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

smartalex my good friend. I realise someones pissed you off today but maybe there is a bigger picture here. Maybe Scott has taken into consideration your sound advice and maybe he has decided to take a back seat and watch how those sensible posters on here deal with it. Maybe hes looking into moderation and he is looking for potential candidates to help him out. Who knows.
You do say that he asks for votes and then publishes filth, racial and anti United. The point is he doesnt actually publish the filth he gives a medium for people to publish themselves. There is a difference but rightly you are to be concerned.

Maybe you can enlighten me to the fact why some people who post on here have their names in red print, I actually thought they were the moderators but then some of them are rarely on here.

Have a beer mate and just concentrate on how fucking brilliant it will be as soon as the pre season gets underway because this transfer horse shit and off season has been a complete ball breaker. I hate off season everyone gets a huge grump on. me included.

  288. smartalex says:

    Thanks CedarsDevil!

Chicharito has many top qualities, but the best is ability to make you smile and laugh!

Some of his goals defy belief! Backward headers for example, really make me happy!

  289. CedarsDevil says:

The Little Pea is quickly making himself close to our Ole in terms of how much we can actually love a football player

  291. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    @CedarsDevil

I bloody love Chica but I wish people would stop comparing him to bloody Linekar. I realise Sir Alex did but he did immediately afterwards said Gary Linekar never scored a good goal. I doubt he was trying to diss Chico but merely take the piss out of Linekar again someone he doesnt particularly like. I think Chico is the new pipo Inzaghi and will play for United all his career and into his late 30′s. Im going to go on and predict that Chico will score over 250 goals for United.

  292. Always Be Closing says:

Goat – the red names are just people who have put a website in below their e-mail addresses, nothing else.

  293. smartalex says:

GoatinaUnitedShirt – Sense and sensibility! I bet you don’t hear that often!
Yet, there is always truth behind your mischievous comments.

You are right to say that Scott only provides the forum.
But it is a United forum, and he is responsible for the good, and the harm that it does.
One comment per thread is not too much to ask for.

Regarding the red print, that is available to anyone, amend your profile at the forum.
TonyBee is a pro with that, I’m sure he can advise you.

I will take your advise on having a beer. I guess I need to chill out! Just a sec …

  296. Always Be Closing says:

@smartalex – just read your little tirade from before – not quite sure what else you’ve been taking tonight but remove your tongue from your rectum for a moment.

He is not responsible for comments made on a blog (yes, even one that he owns and runs). That content is down to the individual posting it, it doesn’t reflect his views. He has a job as well as this to occupy his time, it’s down to the users to moderate themselves. If they can’t restrain themselves that’s their issue.

  297. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Always Be Closing, cheers I did wonder!

  298. Jamaican Red Devil says:

Top class youngster with the world at his hands (literally), but question, how many of u think he’ll want to stay here forever especially if Barcelona continue dominating for the next 5 years or Real regain its dominance? Think Fabregas, Pique, Ronaldo

  299. Fred says:

ABC – those comments are out of line, pal.

  300. Fred says:

Jamaican Red Devil – what do those dickheads have to do with Chicharito? Nothing, pal!

  301. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

some of the crap spouted by that prick has left a sour taste in everyone mouth that was involved.
The Mini-bangladesh thing made my blood boil aswell, Racism has no place . However the prick who sparked this after tonight does not deserve being mentioned again. Therefore we might aswell put it behind us, hope Scott does moderate racial & discriminatory comments.

Lets enjoy RoM & being in the presence of fellow reds to discuss Manchester United Issues & sometimes stray off into the humourous side of football & life.

    Good Night Fellow Reds

( Van De Gea, Tom Jones Jnr & Young Fella signed up :D ….now for Red Teletubby Adam  )

  302. CedarsDevil says:

Lineker is absolute shit, he was a star for England in the 80′s when they were piss poor, errr but they have always been piss poor…. Buggers should be grateful to Sir Bobby for winning a trophy in 66, with out him they would never have seen the final….

Agree with you on the comparison with Pipo, but I think our Little Pea has a little more to his game

  303. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    smartalex
Beer is not only smart it is clever too. I swear by it. And yes Ive heard sense and sensibility, Ive even watched it, great porno. The only bad thing about it was that Rick bloke was sod all like the crook in die hard. I would have like him to say to Kate Winslet, ” now I have a machine gun, ho ho ho”, whereby Emma Thomson gets her baps out and says “dont call my sister a ho”, pant ” Im the ho round here” whereby she then proceeds to lay out a picknick and gobble off a pickled egg. Other than that the film was brill.

  304. Fred says:

I’ll be honest, yes it has occurred to me that the climate of Spain and perhaps even a desire to follow in the footsteps of Hugo Sanchez might make Real Madrid an attractive prospect to Hernandez.I’m damn sure that the prospect of selling the young man on for a huge profit is very appealing to the Glazers too.

However. Chicharito is a very different character to Ronaldo, Pique didn’t see a way past Ferdinand & Vidic in the starting XI and Fabregas… well what does that Arsenal fanny have to do with our club? :?

I choose to be optimistic and hope that Chicharito will stay with us for a very long time. :)

  305. Fred says:

That was in response to Jamaican Red Devil, by the way.

  306. smartalex says:

Always Be Closing – thanks for your response, and especially for not showing me the enmity that has always filled your comments to me previously. I was expecting you to attack! Anyway, I do understand what you are saying, fair comment, but I completely disagree.

Nice to talk to you without either of us experiencing rancour.

ps Get your tongue out of Scott’s ass! Just kidding mate!

Perhaps we can agree to disagree …

  307. Jamaican Red Devil says:

Oh @ Fred I was referring to the article itself lol so I was talking about “Van de gea”

  308. CedarsDevil says:

When on earth are going to sign a goal keeper?

  309. Billy-G says:

nice comments mates am billyg from Africa am a die hadr fan of man utd….welcome to man utd De Gea finally we sign a spanish player..i hope he live to his expectations…fergie sign CM please….@Fredy like your comment bro..

  310. smartalex says:

    Jamaican Red Devil

de Gea was with Atletico Madrid, surely Real’s cross town rivals.
That doesn’t rule out Barcelona though.

Anyway, if we talk enough about him leaving, we could just manifest it, so let’s enjoy his stay.

  311. CedarsDevil says:

  313. fergie is the boss says:

Fred – the fascist are this type of club who backstabbe players worse than girls do to friends. They don’t look after their players, they actually don’t give a shit for their players. And they kick them out the door when they need time, that is why I almost despise players like ronaldo, who yes he wanted a new challenge but at what cost, playing under a manager like mourinho who is the total opposite of freedom for football. Yes he is a winner, but players like ronaldo are not his cup of tea

  314. wayne says:

evening reds think its pretty impossible to monitor a blog 24/7,not sure how much STR makes off rom but sure he’s got work and life just like all of us and secondly i’m not into censorship, its dangerous, what becomes the line before someone gets booted off?.a blog by its nature is full of debate and disagreements thats its life and rom is one of the best.
fuck i’ve been on other bolgs get less than 20 comments per thread, don’t want to see that happen here.when a poster steps out of line whether racism or anything else rom is self patroling at any given time normally someone on to go after him.i like rom the way it is and its a credit to what STR has bulit up that it gets invaded by so many trolls, they know rom is the place to come.so to finish think there’s been some overreaction last night and today.we’re all big boys on here and can take care of any miscreants i’m sure.

    -: No, no…..No, ‘e’s stunned!

    STUNNED?!?

-: Yeah! You stunned him, just as he was wakin’ up! Norwegian Blues stun easily, major.

Um…now look…now look, mate, I’ve definitely ‘ad enough of this. That parrot is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not ‘alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein’ tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk.

-: Well, he’s…he’s, ah…probably pining for the fjords.

PININ’ for the FJORDS?!?!?!? What kind of talk is that?, look, why did he fall flat on his back the moment I got ‘im home?

-: The Norwegian Blue prefers kippin’ on it’s back! Remarkable bird, id’nit, squire? Lovely plumage!

Look, I took the liberty of examining that parrot when I got it home, and I discovered the only reason that it had been sitting on its perch in the first place was that it had been NAILED there.

-: Well, o’course it was nailed there! If I hadn’t nailed that bird down, it would have nuzzled up to those bars, bent ‘em apart with its beak, and VOOM! Feeweeweewee!

“VOOM”?!? Mate, this bird wouldn’t “voom” if you put four million volts through it! ‘E’s bleedin’ demised! ‘E’s passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! ‘E’s expired and gone to meet ‘is maker! ‘E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, ‘e rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed ‘im to the perch ‘e’d be pushing up the daisies! ‘Is metabolic processes are now ‘istory! ‘E’s off the twig! ‘E’s kicked the bucket, ‘e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!!

    THIS IS AN EX-SMARTALEX!! Goodnight.

  354. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    Good Morning ROM!

I think this post is going to get ignored like many others but still here goes my two cents on the whole issue. I actually did not want to speak about it but seeing someone as intelligent as smartalex post in anger is making me do this.

I don’t know how many of you have run blogs, moderated for forums, been part of communities that grew up from scratch etc. I can honestly say, I have been part of all three. I am running a personal blog, I was part of a community that grew up and got shut down because of many reasons and I am part of a community that was built on a new domain from scratch.

But producing content is the most impossiblet thing about running a blog. Just because you all love United, I am going to ask you to do this: Try going to WordPress and starting a United blog. About 80% of you will not last a single week because you will be unable to produce the content necessary to keep it going. Scott does that regularly and almost single-handedly keeps us updated on all things United. For this, he needs to be commended unanimously.

I’ve heard people complain that Scott used to do it before why can’t he do it now. Before when established Reds like Cedars, smartalex, Kings, Rai, King Eric etc. used to post, this blog was not as popular as it is now. So, the odd comment could easily be moderated and Scott could spend time going through the low volume of comments. In the past few years, ROM has grown in popularity, so there is bound to be a new influx of posters – some of these will be good blood and some of these will be evil. That is the way Internet works.

If you allow a few evil cancer cells to take over the place, to hold you for ransom and to bully you like you’ve allowed them to, then that is your fault, not Scott’s. Given the amount ROM has grown, it is impossible for Scott to moderate each and every comment. He has a real life job I presume and he has to keep himself updated on tabloids, pay his mortgages, run his family, apart from providing new content for us almost everyday. Have a heart, folks!

Also, for the love of fucking God, why do you even take such posts seriously?

    A) They are obviously made with the intention to wind us up. You are stroking their ego by responding to people like bill bob, captaink9 etc.
    B) By responding to them, you provide more fuel to the fire. Such people are sitting in front of their computers with nothing else to do and laughing at how easily we are being wound up.
    C) smartalex, your Jesus analogy is way off – For starters, IRL, I cannot swear at any self-respecting human being and get away with it. The anonymity of the Internet allows me to do that and there is nothing any of us can do about it. Comparing Internet and Real Life is way off in terms of anything and especially in this scenario.

It all started when a few minor evils came in and we got so easily wound up that we showed them our anger. Then, they realized the amount of fun they could have by toying with us. They increased in number because the more they came in, the more we responded, and the more ammunition they got. You are being held for ransom each time you respond to such posts.

Ignorance and Anonymity are the best tools of the Internet – If you don’t understand these two, you shouldn’t be posting on an Internet blog in the first place. If some anonymous fool decides to slander Sir Alex’s name and post racist remarks – That doesn’t mean Sir Alex is an idiot or that I am an Indian whose only job is to call British people to sell IT products. That only means that such and such person is using anonymity as a tool for him. So, I use my own tool – Ignorace. Ignore him until he gets bored.

There was a direct racist remark against me which I ignored and Scott eventually deleted it, I didn’t dignify him with a direct response to racism because I knew there was no point in doing it. I don’t care what he says because I know it doesn’t change who I am in real life or my comments on this blog about United.

I am going to leave it at that. If some of you think I am sucking up to Scott by posting this, then so be it. As I said, I’ve been part of many communities and I know how the Internet works. But putting the blame on Scott, when the blame solely lies with us for responding to such posts is something I cannot come to accept.

Peace ROM! I hope this doesn’t affect our understanding in any way.

  358. Devil310 says:

    @Bajali

I give you props on your rant mate. I had mentioned it a few post back that maintaining a blog is a lot of work, and that I would prefer Scott spending his time bringing us great insight, stories, stats, etc rather than moderating this site. As you say, moderating could take more time that a lot here care to imagine.

A code of ethic needs to exist in order for us to enjoy this blog. I say that keeping RACE and RELIGION out is a start

  367. smartalex says:

    Good morning!

Balaji Sivaraman – thanks for your input! It this doesn’t affect our understanding in any way!

I disagree on a couple of points.
    - You vastly over estimate the time invested into producing the content on this blog.
    - The anonymity that the internet affords does not make my Jesus analogy way off.

There have been so many differing views offered on how the anti-United posts should be handled. Some advocate attacking the troll. Others claim that ignoring the troll is the best policy.

Scott can guide us. Perhaps he cares for us, perhaps not.

    Is Tevez on this blog?!
We all know how much hatred their is for United. During the Champions League Final I’ve never seen so many people supporting Barcelona in my life. This included people wearing Derby County, Liverpool, AC Milan tops. I seriously can’t be asked with that kinda behaviour but it all comes with the territory being a United fan. They can question their own morality.
On this blog I’ve read a fair few comments from the usual trolls. These people are worse than the “supporters” or “fans” I saw out during the Champions League Final.
These keyboard warriors hide behind a computer screen spreading their word. But who cares? What they want is a reaction so why waste your time?
They’ll soon get bored and feck off elsewhere.

  373. Alpha_RS says:

    @Costas
Can’t believe some United fans were calling for Charlie Adam to come to United. He is no better than what we have at the moment. As we know what we have certainly isn’t good enough.
Who do you think we will be signing up in the midfield if anyone?
United have a good crop of midfielders coming through at youth level in Pogba, Morrison, and Tunnicliffe. Could they be the next Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets?

  377. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

Point taken my friend……Are you part of the so called ‘clique’ by the way?

  378. Costas says:

    @Alpha_RS

Hi mate. We will have to see on these youngsters. Honestly, unless Fergie is hell bent on pushing one of them into the first team, I don’t see them making their mark this season. But I do hope we see all 3 in the league cup games. Their time is now in that respect.

Pogba and Tunni might be ready to take over once Carrick leaves, but until then, I feel that we need another midfielder. There are no guarantees that Fletch, Carrick and Ando will stay fit all season and Tom might need time to settle down too. I have no idea who it might be, but in my opinion, we have to go for a Hernadez type of bargain. Alas, no Modric or Sneidjers. Someone who will come quietly and do his job. If Fletcher and Ando stay fit and fulfill their potential again, that’s all we need imo.

  379. willierednut says:

    Cedars – No comment. ;)

  380. smartalex says:

  381. Timanywa Kachocho says:

Bravo and bigup to sir Alex, This is a super signing and good to man u followers. Lets wait for either sneijer, nasir or modric. I think the squard will be 100 percent complete

  382. Alpha_RS says:

    @Costas
    Hello mate.
Hmm I see what you are saying. Signing a young player like that lad from Barcelona might help mix things up somewhat. I just find it strange that the central midfield seems to be have been left until last. I think the De Gea signing was most important as we all remember what is was like after The Big Dane retired.
The lad from Barcelona seems like a good player. It would be great if he was the next Fabregas. I’m wondering what SAF has up his sleeve because as we know we have some very good prospects coming through the ranks. I wonder whether Ando will ever fulfill his potential. I like him but why can’t he just apply himself. I won’t forget how our midfield was overun so many times last season.
I just hope the kids are given a fair chance by SAF.

    @Smartalex
    Hello mate.
In an ideal world only United fans would be on this blog and Scott would moderate every comment but I imagine that is impossible. We’d probably be arguing with each other then. I know the subject of the Glazers was quite divisive.
It’s always funny seeing a troll come on here and get slayed. I do enjoy that.
But in the end they’re only here to wind us up. I mean whats the deal with coming on to a United blog. Nothing constructive to say about your own team. Ha. It’s just funny.

  383. Zibbie says:

    wow missed a lot here.

  384. smartalex says:

    @Alpha_RS

It is true that we’d probably argue amongst ourselves anyway! Human nature, I guess.

With regard to finding it strange that the central midfield seems to be have been left until last, I think that our target/s play for European club/s as opposed to English, so we can’t sign them before the 1st of July. Were we to blab about them sooner, we’d have the likes of city and liverpool entering the picture, even if only to upset the deal.

  385. kim firth says:

the messing around didnt occur for goalie buy surely it will occur for the real deal n that is the replacement of legendary scholes.till now nothing concrete on our orime target sneijder.

  386. smokebreaksteve says:

What’s the blanket for.He is a goalkeeper about to sign for the biggest club in the world, not a peadophile on a court appearance. Was Sir Alex on holiday? Not so sure he would have sanctioned the blanket.
KING ERIC: I agree with your comment about being mortified if we bought Modric for £35M. Someone will come in but we are building a legacy, not obsessed with the quick fix. Our midfield seems like it needs a massive overhaul but in fact may just need tweaking.
