Manchester United’s home game against Liverpool was the first of hopefully more ‘Old Shirt Days’ for our fans. The aim is to raise the awareness to the idea of boycotting the new shirts brought out by the Glazers and instead wear shirts from days gone by.
We had lots of entries and it was great to see some of the old shrits people still have lying around. Here were some of our favourites:
We couldn’t resist that cute grin of Emily’s, so an old shirt will be in the post to her. But the winner is Ivan Teoh and mates from Melbourne, Australia, for the impressive array of old shirts, as well as a crying Liverpool fan. A shirt from the Treble winning season is on its way.

Not trying to stir things up or cause a debate, but given most of my old shirts are a little on the tight side shall ew say, I looked at the Vintage Football Shirts site link provided by Scott.

Given the reason for the protest is about the financial situation and the fact we are being screwed by a bunch of mercenaries, I don’t think lining some other money grabbing so and so’s pockets as they look to cash in on the situation is a much better alternative!
Tomo1982 – The rare shirts cost that amount of money, but the adult shirt prices on there starts at about £19. If you look on eBay for the prices of the rarer shirts, it’s comparable.

Here’s a story which will amuse everybody.
I recently moved back home to Corby from London. An old mate of mine mentioned that they play 7-a-side every Sunday and that I should join in. I did so, and the both of us ended up wearing 2-3 season old United tops.
I did, and when we were in the pub afterwards, one of his mates, a city fan (funny how i’d never met one in Corby before) was whinging about the cold (we were sat outside so we could have a fag.)
Eventually my mate says “well, my shirt from football’s in the bag if you want to put that on over the top of yours.”
And he accepted! Without even thinking about it! A supposed city fan, who was happy to sit there, drinking his pint, in the old white away strip, with ‘BERBATOV 9′ on the back

No streams because its on tomorrow. It’s on Sky though thankfully, some of the reserves had a rest yesterday though, so should get a youthful run out.
