    Class act. #19. #bel19ve.
Managed to get to work this morning, despite late night @ local pub, and been smiling ever since!

Let’s beat Blackburn at Ewood and start celebrating, WHAT F*CKING WHAT?!

  3. Believe says:

    Class act

  4. gerkeo says:

You Sir, you bow to no man.

  5. Utd4life says:

    @gerkeo..True that..

  6. CanFan says:

Well said gerkeo . When you think of all this man has done for United its mind boggling .
Amazingly he’s gonna be sitting on that perch very soon . Viva Fergie . Legend .

  7. TK says:

That’s right gereko…you are spot on.

  8. Gorse Hill Red says:

For a man that the fans owe so much, for him to bow to them knowing full well that we are the blood and soul of this club shows what a great man he is.

The crowd was fantastic yesterday even in the South Stand where I sat. Can’t wait for the party against Blackpool.

  9. Snoopy says:

    Respect the crowd and Fans….
    MU The Best…

  10. Xyth says:

Yesterday victory was great, but what was more pleasing was the reaction of subs when we scored and at the end of the match. Many of them, like Berba, must have been gutted for not playing, but they still showed genuine team spirit how much the team’s success meant for team. No amount of money can buy that!!!!

Also loved Fergies dig at Chelsea’s last year win ( a possible new T shirt): We won it without the help of the referees!!!!

  11. Vishal S says:

I simply wish we all could have knelt down to the great man wen he did that.

  12. rnicolas says:

Oh, should have DEFINITELY been the other way around.
One of the things that can be said about this man is what fierce rivals fans say about him:
(Idiot) Piers Morgan said he would have won Arsenal some trophies this year (on Twitter)
Dirty Gallagher boys said we’ll win things cos he’s still our manager

And the list goes on. Greatest man ever to be associated with Football… period

  13. Stevie the CUNT says:

The Great Man with Great Humility.
Contrast that to Carlo Ancelotti’s grumpy face. What a laugh to see CA and the cheat David Luiz going at each other.

  14. dazbomber says:

Thanks for every thing Sir Alex ,25 years of bliss. What game and what a night so lucky to be United fans

  15. giggs11gerrard0 says:

I would absolutely Scott to pull through the articles and post all the comments saying fergie should goa nd he has lost it during this season!

12 League titles will be fucking genious and I hope for SAF he can delete the scousers taunts saying Paisley won three European cups!

  16. Shoebahmed says:

After all these years, when they show a replay of the bench during a missed goal opportunity, you’ll see he reacts more animatedly than even some of the 19 year old players there. I cannot find a parallel to such hunger for success with anyone else in the world, past or present.

  17. CedarsDevil says:

To the great Sir Alex I say this…

I bow down to you Sir, you are a genius of a man and a true human being of the highest order

  18. sachu says:

    one more thing
pls dont retire be here atleast till 80

  19. BerbaGod says:

@ gerkeo – Amen to that sir.

  20. CedarsDevil says:

    Stevie the CUNT

Again I will say this buddy, tone it down… We did win after all and Sir Alex has great respect for Carlo as do I

  21. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

Legend. Thanks for everything Sir Alex. Please don’t ever retire!

  22. captaink9 says:

    Irreplaceable !

  23. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Stevie, To be fair, any other club, Ancelotti would’ve been amazingly respected. But when you have Chelsea/City with owners who treat the club like their personal pets, you get only that. Ancelotti is a great manager and definitely not as bad as Mourinho, Benitez etc. when it comes to being a genuinely upright bloke.

To Sir Alex, I again say, we OWE you everything. Every title we’ve won over the past 26 years. Every moment of happiness that United have given us. Every last minute victory we’ve had. Every time we’ve had an agonizing defeat and bounced back stronger as a result. EVERYTHING.

Everything is only because of the values you have instilled in this great club and for that we owe you everything.

We bow down you to Sir Alex. A True Legend of the Game and one of the genuine human beings left in the game of football.

  24. sachu says:

@cedars devil carlo is a great guy i do hope chelsea sack him and sign fsw and then they could get relegated

  25. CedarsDevil says:

    Balaji

A true RED you really are my friend

  26. james f says:

Another proof that Sir Alex has lost it! ;-)

  27. sachu says:

did anyone hear terry the fucker say they DOMINATED THE SECOND HALF he really is a moron living in planet DEMENTIA he should get to a mental hospital and get shock treatment and start doing normal things like FUCKING FAT FRANKS WIFE

  28. CedarsDevil says:

    sachu

I do recall you and I having a spat, if you were offended than I apologize buddy…. Seems like you are a good RED

  29. ernando says:

n there r still a bunch of ‘so called fans’ who r slating him in the forum….-_-”

  30. Utd4life says:

Carlo is a pretty good guy..definitely more likeable than mourinho or FSW or mankini..it’s too bad that he is managing Chelsea where as Balaji said, managers are never given the time to settle down and build up a team..anyways fuck them, this was their last roll of the dice and they got screwed big time..

  31. Faiz says:

I have a suggestion. Those who attend the final home game against Blackpool should bow down to SAF :D

  32. sachu says:

@ CEDARS DEVIL no need to apologise mate i did love our arguement there will always be difference in opinion thats nota problem BOTH OF US CAN LOOK FORWARD TO BARCA BRING ON THE DIVING SQUAD

  33. CedarsDevil says:

    sachu

Just hope the match v Barca is played on a football field and not a swimming pool!

(Thanks for the response my friend, much appreciated)

  34. Utd4life says:

And yes, We should bow down to SAF..This man owes us nothing..On the contrary, we owe him everything..He has given his all for the club..He has sacrificed so much for us and the club..The least we can do is support him..That’s why criticizing SAF is off limits..Any man who dares enter that territory here will be slaughtered..

  35. sachu says:

    @CEDARS DEVIL
we will beat them no problem 3-1 hope berba carrick and owen score

  36. United says:

Fergie should bow to no one.

I think he wanted to thank the supporters, I remember a few times when he wasn’t happy with the crowd support in the past.

  37. CedarsDevil says:

    Utd4life

Echoing my sentiments mate……. Hence why I take no shit from any haters here!

  38. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    Dear ROM Readers,

Bear with me while I tell you a small story. Unlike most of you, I (like many international fans who don’t have parents who are football fans) am a Manchester United fan by choice and I will try, in my own futile way, to explain the happiness that choice has provided me.

10 years ago, on a Saturday evening, a 13 year old boy was bored beyond recognition with nothing else to do but watch TV. He was flipping channels and landed on ESPN randomly where a curiously interesting football match was happening. This club called Manchester United (of whom he had heard about – who hadn’t at the time – but knew nothing else) was trailing this other club called Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 during half time with no point of return.

Out of the same curiosity with which he had landed on ESPN, he decided to start watching the match because he had nothing better to do on that day and there was no cricket (:D) on TV that day. Little did he know that he was to witness the greatest ever comeback in EPL history and begin his love affair with the club everybody knows as Manchester United and, as a result, become addicted to the one of the few things he has ever been addicted to in life.

Over the next few years, his love affair with the club increased as a result of delving into every inch of its history from the inception in 1878 to the most recent success of 1999. He learnt about every Red Devil who had worn that crest with pride, every team which had walked into the theatre of dreams and answered the dreams of the fans, the Babes who had passed away tragically on that fateful day in Munich, the reinvigorated team that won the European Cup ten years later, the team led by Cantona that had dominated the previous decade and finally the present team at the time led by Roy Keane.

Of course, you all know who that guy is but the real reason why I told you the story comes next.

For all the fans that support United by right/location, you already know what I mean. For all who are like me and made a choice during their life, remember how privileged you are to have chosen this club. We all make choices and have to live with it, whether they are good or bad. I haven’t made many choices that I regret but I still have nightmares about what could’ve been had I landed on a channel playing Arsenal, Liverpool or, God Forbid, Chelsea or City.

Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for making me switch to that channel on that day. I will be working in office trying to figure out some issue and would suddenly look afar and think about how it all began.

Remember that supporting Manchester United is a privilege that cannot be explained in words. Any time we don’t play well, I only have to remember what I saw on that day that made me what I am in the first place. As MG always says, Manchester United will never stop fighting. If we lose a game of football, it is because the game lasts for only 90 minutes, not because Manchester United gave up.

I have come a long way along with United since that day and I know there is a long way to go yet, but I will never forget what I saw on that day which has seared itself in my memory. I will forever be grateful for making the choice of supporting Manchester United and so should anyone who has made the choice like me.

One Love – United. One of the places to show that love – ROM.

Thanks for bearing with me ROM. I know it is desperately long but I just felt like saying it today on the day of one of our greatest ever successes. :)

    sachu

As I wrote on another thread, the CL will be a bonus, for me number 19 is the main prize. Mind you a 3 – 1 win over them diving cheats would be most welcomed

  40. Utd4life says:

@Cedars..No one has the rights to criticize SAF..Not even God..yes, he might occasionally make screw things up but who the fuck doesn’t??Some of our fans act as if they have never made a mistake in their entire life..

  41. T4M says:

Still buzzing.Heart filled with pride for the club

  42. sachu says:

@ CEDARS DEVIL really praying owen scores a late goal like ole that will be a dagger in the hearts of the scousers

to those that ask why I chose to support UTD from the early 80′s,
    I simply reply…
    ‘I did not choose United,
    United chose Me!!!’

    Bel19ve!

  46. Utd4life says:

@Balaji..great story Mate..I have been following UTD for the past 4 years and it all started because of a bloody football computer game,FIFA 07, where I always chose UTD for some reason..Then I decided to check these guys out in real life and they blew me away with that gung-ho, balls out approach..And fortunately, I had many UTD friends in college who taught me everything there is to know about UTD..It’s been an honor and a privilege to support this great club and I shall continue to follow them no matter what happens..GGMU!!!!

  47. sachu says:

    WISHES FOR THE SEASON

  48. mattos says:

fergie.. he really is a lord amongst men

  49. Vishal S says:

    @BALAJI
You stole my story mate. Same here. Ten old year chap, with a failed markcard and after a couple of slaps right of the cheeks was flipping channels and somehow stopped to watch a few men in red celebrating as if they had lived a dream. The highlights of the 1999 final was playing.
11 years on, not a single minute of football of those men in red missed :) . And what a eleven years its been. The ups, the downs and the fightback. Loved it. Adored it. Lived it.

  50. giggs11gerrard0 says:

    @T4M

Not just yet mate, waiting for the point confirmation then I will update it! How good is the feeling knowing the feeling we have done it!

I would Love Michael Owen to score in a 1-0 to give us the title could you imagine that!

  51. MG says:

I bow to my manager and to my team

I bow to Berba who when he plays hardly smiles yet still on the bench was the most passionate United fan out there

I bow to Manchester United and it’s fans who keep the flame burning.

    Good Morning Reds – Next:

  52. missingOTnowiminoz says:

I started supporting UTD out of defiance cos my mates wanted to support shitty as they were in the fa cup final that year, so in retrospect i was already a true red, my first ever game Robson scored who was also my idol and i loved UTD more, then SAF came along and we moved on some more and continued to grow and i grew with UTD in my heart and sole, I was there when we beat shitty 3-2 after being 2-0 down and my love grew more, i can remember screaming out loud when we did the treble and travelling back to work with my car covered in newspaper clippings and i grew more with UTD in my heart, I got married and was checking the score the minute i walked out of the church (the day was planned so it wasn’t a big game!!) my son was born the night UTD beat the arse 4-2 so my first ever pic with my son i was wearing a UTD shirt, UTD grew in my heart even more immensely that night. The countless travels to OT and away grounds and Wembley and cardiff have given me memories and stories i can pass onto my son, UTD have become an integral part of my life as i have grown, so now we are on the pinnacle of 19 and another historical moment i am immensely proud that UTD are not just a club to me but are part of my soul and my life and will be till the day i die…although we’ll never die as long as UTD live then so do i in the spirit of all other UTD fans, the Busby babes watch over us but so do all the hard core fans that have passed before us.
UTD isn’t life, it is far more important than that!!!!

  53. Kevin says:

@BALAJI been doing it for 17 years, my first love

  54. shubhangmanred says:

So, asked Ian Ladyman of Daily Mail, whether he was related to torres,
Ha ha he wasn’t really impressed!

  55. Kevin says:

    @missingOTnowiminoz
that is something. I am going to get my shirt for next season with Fletcher on it, then the legends.

  56. feedemscraps says:

    Off topic.
Thinking of going watching the reserves on Weds night. I’ve got a 1 United membership which usually gets you in free, but with it being at OT will I have to pay. Thinking of taking me 4 year old daughter for her 1st game, any tips from any one who has taken a young one to a game?

  57. NijerianRed says:

Giggs is a legend and deserves to be knighted. You guys living in he UK should start a movement for this to happen immediately.

Write a plea letter, petition, anything that will carry this wish to the monarchy asking for him to be knighted accordingly. He has achieved and done more for football in UK than a lot of people can ever dream of and this needs to be appreciated.

Come on, lets get Lizzy to knight him up!!!!

  58. Falsafa says:

    @ balaji
Your story resonates with me as well. I think i supported United from the match when they changed the kit at halftime vs Southampton in ’96 methinks

that intigued me for some reason as i was still around 11 years old and the epl was very new in Kenya.

Have never regretted, though Utd lost that game.

    LONG LIVE UNITED!.

  59. Stenis says:

Legendary! Bring in the double, sir!

  60. Vishal S says:

    @sayyidhashim
How true he was! My god. People have crystal ballz!.. I hope now he has the ballz to apologise.

  61. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@sayyidhashim, Great article mate. That article is spot on in everything it says. The man should be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Sports Journalism if there was one in existence.

  62. vasujainlives says:

Unbelievable – I have a similar story though I don’t remember which UNITED match I watched first , but I remember it all started in 1998. Long Live ESPN India who have brought MAN UTD & a beautiful hobby into our lives. Never missed a match since then. BTW – Balaji- Which part of India are you in ? Blr ?

  64. Mickjk says:

  67. theboogeyman says:

Balaji- Yeah the way you fell in love with United I nearly did with West Ham, seeing Di Canio’s cracker against Wimbledon. Luckily I picked United too, never looked back. And you’re from Chennai as well, best city in India. :D

  68. chenkothedevil says:

it has been long time out but my apology to you all.

Lets win the 4th CL. Lets to 5th and Pool can have no say.

  74. ancha says:

Nuri Sahin to Real Madrid – confirmed by the player and goes for rather small fee

another talent goes down the drain, when will they learn

  75. Robbinhood Savage says:

What for? To warm their bench?

  76. fergie is the boss says:

Costas – on the responce about the last time united were unbeaten at OT, it was the 99/2000 season. Has we lost 3 times that year, chelsea tottenham and newcastle. Not even that side had the OT record we have had this year. We dropped 8 pts in the 99/2000 season, to wimbledon southapton arsenal and liverpool

  77. WHAT ??? says:

Excuse the Rant but Alex bowed because he has CLASS. If anybody should be bowing in gratitude it should be everybody associated with the Club, from the Glaziers through the players and supporters right down to fans faithfully following on internet links around the world. Alex IS Genius. Last season I thought if we won the title it would be one of our finest wins, especially with all our injuries and blooding new youngsters. But it wasn’t to be. This season however its NO question… In my humble opinion our 19th title will be our greatest ever.

We’ve been written off, we’ve been ridiculed, we’ve been harassed, we’ve been unfairly punished, we’ve been singled out for all the ills in modern football…. All the years I’ve been following United I’ve never seen this much hate directed at the Club, and thats saying something after the all controversies we’ve all seen. But its been particularly nasty in the press this season, its been personal, spiteful and based on ulterior motives. I mean, Alex Ferguson has been single handedly blamed for ruining the “English” game this season ffs, but the truth is he’s MADE the Premier League number one around the world with his Squads and his Brand off football. The ABU media know that very well, better than some fans and supporters I fear, but this season the press have out done themselves with the hate for our Club.

So for us to knock our closest rivals out of Europe, and then inflict another defeat to take back our title. For us to come together as a squad and grind out result after result since August. For Berbatov and Rooney to find their own top class form right when we needed it. For our senior players to up the bar even further. For our youngsters to step up to the plate. For Giggs to be playing some of his best EVER football.

This is the greatest achievement I’ve ever seen from our Club in the Premier League. The fact its the long awaited 19th just makes it perfection. They’ve said we’re shit, past it, worse team ever, never gonna win, missing Ronaldo, BROKE, the Managers losing it….

But despite all that poison we’re still doing it, and doing it the United Way. Im over the Moon and I cannot wait for the Champions League final. Watched Barcelona win 2-0 and as usual teams in Spain roll over for the top two. Its a once in a lifetime result if a relegation team nicks a win against the best in La Liga, whereas we get an upset like that every fortnight in our League. Barcelona haven’t had any real challenges this year, and when they have theres been dodgy red cards. They haven’t had to battle like we have, our League is much stronger. Yeah they play good football but they ain’t the best in the world. The best teams can win playing beautifully OR by grinding out the result. The best teams can mix it up. I don’t think Barca have the heart to grind a win when opposition don’t roll over and let them play.

Park, Valencia…. Barca don’t have to face these types of players in La Liga. Box to Box fighters who can defend in there own half just as soon as Score. Players who can read the play and tackle just as well as they can split the defence with a so called “Barca-like” pass. Our boys go back and forth all game and they represent the United spirit. Barcelona don’t have our never die attitude because they expect to win through skill alone, but I tell you what they’ll need to do some soul searching after Wembley, because they’ll need more than SKILL to defeat this United side.

Thats why the title this year is my favourite. We’ve won against the Odds, we’ve bounced back from defeat, we’ve learned from mistakes, we’ve stepped up to the plate, we’ve clawed back deficits. We haven’t relied on the Skill of individual players like we have in previous seasons, we’ve relied on our CLUB SPIRIT to carry us through. Everybody has played a role.

Rome 2009 was billed to be all about Messi v Ronaldo and Skill and Ability. But Wembley 2011 will be all about mental fortitude and a never say die attitude. The strongest upstairs will win, the team that doesn’t stop moving and doesn’t switch off will win. Based on what I’ve seen this season, that team is us.

I love getting one over on the Rent Boys, but we were different class yesterday. If Chelsea looked average its because we MADE THEM look average. Just like Schalke, Chelsea are not a shit team, but when our players go all out for each other we can make any team in the world look average.

What a Season its been! AND THE REDS GO MARCHING ON

  78. ancha says:

looks like Sir Alex got his man as he always does, i hope they won’t confirm this until the transfer window is open, I don’t want diversion ahead of the most crucial game of the season

  79. YorYor says:

Now those wage demands are crazy… if he’s sincere in coming to play with top teammates, he’ll have to lower his demands. If he’s a money-grabber, he should just hope for City to try intercepting the deal.

  80. sachu says:

    @ ancha
i read in sky sports news about guillem balague saying sahin is going to madrid he also said that madrid will put up kaka and benzema up for sale how much did sahin cost

  81. fergie is the boss says:

WHAT ??? – but we should not have been fighting against the odds, because the rest are no better than a phew years ago. I think united are now starting to improve, while the rest seem to be standing still or going backwards with weird signings

  82. Tomo1982 says:

WHAT ??? – Top post, and it all stems down from the great man himself – we’ll never die!

  83. fergie is the boss says:

WHAT ??? – also we have found a formula to beat chelsea now, giggs and carrick in the middle, and let valencia park rooney and hernandez run the legs off chelsea

  84. Robbinhood Savage says:

I hope this formula helps in beating Barca too…They’l be facing a stronger United this time..Much stronger

  85. Costas says:

It really should be a mutual bow. The fans were magnificent and they deserved the bow. Like Fergie said, they pulled us through in the final moments of the game. That, along with Rooney’s presence, were the two main differences compared to last year’s game.

    @FITB

I meant in all competitions mate. The 99-00 team lost to Real at home. I’ll have a look later on, but it must be at least 20 years since we went unbeaten at OT for a full season.

  86. wayne says:

first need to get something off my chest.through the course of the season on rom week after week i’ve had to listen to so called fans call sir alex a liar about having a transfer kitty, some even called him a puppet of the glaziers to all of you fuck off because you’re not utd fans.
to all of you who have bitched a whined after every bad result about players not being good enough to play for utd fuck you i guess you don’t know better than sir alex do you.
finally to all the timids who seemed to have little faith a worried about every game, next season believe and grow a set have more confidence in the team you support, everyone ok now,not over yet we still need a point, what happens if we lose to blackburn the pressure will really be on,not sure if utd should count their chickens yet what do you think?
utd were awesome yesterday although the abus have praised rentboys all year utd should be 4/4 against them and although this team has recieved alot of stick for not being very good in a different class to the rentboys who looked old, slow and clueless yesterday.have to say the fucking refs keep on amazing me how blatently bent the calls are week after week
gotta give kudos to big sam who was on with that cunt big nose yesterday.he was utd all the way said chelsea was lucky to even be in with a chance after bad ref decisions against spurs and after the game said refs were awful again and it was a good job utd won because alot of bad calls went against them.the cunt with the rug blew it off, good thing at least someone high profile who gets tv time is questioning how bent the refs are.
finally the abus, oh well chelsea were 15 pts behind so have done really well to take it this close,no mention the cunts blew a big lead in november the bias against utd is fucked up,all about chelsea doing well not utd winning the league

i heard Madrid a couple of couple more millions to Sahin, who was on the brink of signing to another European club..

good player that, Sahin, bad club that, Madrid at the moment..

the players come and go as fast as you like..

its madridz sheer stubborness to get any player they want, that wont give them titles anyway..

a player should be willing to join the club, that shows the hunger, but in this case and as it has been, madrid has more hunger to bring stars than trophies to their home..

such a pity and still the most successful club of the 20th century, no wonder why they are heading the dead end..

    ######################

Sir Alex, please dont bow down, you are verything a man utd fan carves for, you are everything a club like us wants,

no, you dont even bow down at you in the mirror, you are a man of superior quality meant for superior deeds and thats what you have been doing..

thanks for everything, thanks for making the life..

  88. sachu says:

@sandeep well guillem balague says real will sell kaka and benzema and i would love to see KAKA play for us fergie can get his career back on track

  89. sandeep1878 says:

    @ sachu..

i do doubt that, kaka wont come cheap..

but with saf u never know, a certain Michael owen is the living proof for that..

as you said, SAF can kick back Kakaz career, but its always that hunger in the player that SAF looks for..

has kaka got enough hunger? if yes, then its good for him and the game..

as of now, saf looks to set his radar on Sneidjer and it looks like the radar has stopped right there..

letsee..no dounting the class, skills and the calibre of kaka but letsee if things work out..

    hope so it will..

    cheers mate

  90. Jeet says:

Who needs Sylvie…get Yolanthe Sneidjer :)

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1384715/Get-Wesley-Sneijder-Sir-Alex-Ferguson-tells-Manchester-Uniteds-owners.html

    However 3 interesting questions?
If Sneidjer comes, what role does Rooney play? Or if Sneidjer comes does it mean a way we can play Berbarito combo? And if Rooney-Hernandez combo is the way to go, then do we need a combative Gattusso like player more than a Sneidjer?

  91. fergie is the boss says:

Costas – ah right. Not in fergie’s time have united been unbeaten at home in all compitions

  92. sandeep1878 says:

Benzema was the biggest fool to leave Lyon..

even more foolish to join Madrid..

but to be fair, how many times we say thing about madrid..

to be fair, we shud be ashamed to talk about madrid n how successfully they screw the players, one way or the other :P

  93. fergie is the boss says:

Jeet – check redcafe, allot seem to think he wont be able to play in the CM in a 2. I disagree, because of giggs can schneider could is well, it helps valencia park and rooney’s energy always helps carrick and giggs

  94. fergie is the boss says:

sandeep1878 – who needs benzema when you have javier hernandez

  95. WHAT ??? says:

@Tomo1982 – cheers mate, probably like you all I remember seeing with my own eyes is Alex at the Helm – all the stick he got despite winning everything in Scotland including a European title United hadn’t won in decades – I’ll never forget the way he fashioned United into a modern football side without having a template to “copy”. How many great managers have looked to him for inspiration? The man is a Genius in every sense of the word!

@FITB – alright mate, remember just the other day I was saying I’d want Giggs and Carrick in the middle with Valencia and Park on either side? Thats our strongest midfield pair in a 4-4-2 by a mile as Chelsea have found out this Season. For Barcelona, in my humble opinion, I thought a 4-5-1 with Rooney up top and Nani as the extra man on the left would’ve been the best bet. But after the Chelsea game who knows mate? Alex must be going over it over and over in his head! Its gonna be fascinating to see who he starts for the final. But spot on mate, Hernandez Park and Tony in the same team have worked wonders this year. Can’t wait for Barcelona.

  96. sandeep1878 says:

    Sneidjer..

    170k per week..

    wow..wow..wow

are we heading a dead end in this all again?

    that is way too much..

it will be a record signing by us..

hope GILL will make a deal in other formats where by he can reduce the 170K weekly wage..

    otherwise its difficult..innit it?

  97. sachu says:

@FITB LETS TRY TO SIGN KAKA FOR 20 MILLION RATHER THAN SNEIJDER FOR 40

  98. sandeep1878 says:

    @ FITB..

    bang on mate,

who needs anyone when we have Chicha..

the mexican wave is getting stronger and stronger and it is on the vrge of collpasing the catalans..

collpase it will, come the 28th may..

cometh the day, cometh the man..

    Javier, u beauty..

  99. sachu says:

@ SANDEEP well fergie was ready to pay 30 million for benzema so if he realy wants sneijder he will get him dnt think he will move to spain so if he moves it should be to MANCHESTER UNITED

  100. wayne says:

we can’t even go one day and just enjoy what this team has achieved without talking about sneidjer again, here’s a thought maybe daily mail article is bollocks and sir alex isn’t interested in him.

  101. fergie is the boss says:

WHAT ??? – the the irony about PPL saying united may go 451 against the divers, the funny thing is we are playing 451. It is just having your cake and eating it. The team we played yesterday was 451 when we defend, and break forward into a 442. valencia park and rooney make it a 5 man CM, when we get forward we change into a 442, rooney can break forward support hernandez and with valencia and park in support from the wings.

Here is how we look when we start and defend

    valencia rooney carrick giggs park
that has energy, movement and ability to break forward in numbers, and defend and not let barca have the space

    when united break forward
    carrick
    valencia giggs park
    rooney hernandez

These 5 break forward in numbers, and it puts teams in a spin. Yes fletcher may get stuck in, but valencia has replaced fletchers aggression with assist and pace on the flanks

  102. giggs11gerrard0 says:

Cant be arsed talking about potential signings as the players we have got have all but sealed our 19th title not to mention a champs league final to look forward to.

I know everyone is banging on about sneijder but I just dont see him coming to United, SAF has Carrick, Fletch, Ando, Giggs all vying that CM role with Nani, Park, and Tony V on the wings that is 7 players plus SAF will know what is waiting in the wings with the likes of Cleverley, Tunnicliffe etc. Will SAFchange now and buy big?

  103. fergie is the boss says:

I do not know why anyone is suprised by yesterdays result esp some of the media, who hype chelsea’s ageing midfield. essien has picked up 1 to many injurys, lampard is 33 and he looks past it esp when fixtures pile up, and mikel what else can we say about this guy, a rich mans djemba djemba.

United had a younger midfield 5. carrick 30, giggs 37, rooney 25, valencia 24 park 29. 4 of that 5 has the energy guile movement and creativity, to run chelsea’s legs to breaking point

  104. fergie is the boss says:

giggs11gerrard0 – united need cover for giggs, has anderson cannot do giggs’s job in CM

  105. sachu says:

@ FITB DONT U THINK WE NEED THE ENERGY AND DRIVE OF FLETCHER
    IT SHOULD BE VDS
    OSHEA RIO VIDA EVRA
    VALENCIA CARRICK FLETCHER PARK
    ANDERSON
    ROONEY
I HAVE NOT INCLUDED CHICHO BECAUSE I BELIEVE WE NEED THE ENERGY OF ANDO PARK AND FLETCHER TO BEAT BARCA

  106. Andy says:

I was born to be a UNITED fan. It is in my blood. My dad was a UNITED fan but his brother was a City fan. My Dad says he doesn’t know why he was attracted to UNITED he just felt it was right. It was in the 70′s and 80′s so it wasn’t like he was a glory supporter. He bought his first season ticket and hasn’t looked back since. He had to cope with all the Liverpool triumphs. UNTIL on that fantastic day when we won the league again. He also remembers taking his shirt off and running round the garden after OLE scored the winner in 99.

My first time at UNITED was to watch UNITED vs Anderlect in the champions league. I dont remember the score but i think it was 4-1 or something. I always remember looking down on Beckham taking a corner right infront of me in the disabled bit and thinking wow thats David Beckham. (I also got offered a chip before the game by a nice Anderlect fan outside Old Trafford)
My second was a UNICEF match against Bocca Juniors. A certain Tevez played.
I went on a Old Trafford tour with my cousin who is from Scotland (Celtic) and I had the choice to either sit on Ronaldo’s seat or Scholesys’ (Im so glad I chose Scholesys’! He has always been my faviourite. Same colour hair!!!)
In 2008 we won the champions league on my birthday aswell. To carry on the tradition we went around the garden shouting as loud as we could (Liverpool neighbours).
I then went to watch the reserves at Kirkham where we won 1-2 (I think) i went with my best mate who bizzarly is a City fan?!?! What!?!? F******!?!? What!?!?!
I then went to my first UNITED first team away game at Blackpool this season. I sat in the Blackpool end and at half time was gutted we were losing 2-0. At the restart my Dad turned to me and said we’re gonna’ win this. WE DID!!!

I have always loved UNITED ever since my dad bought me UNITED Calypso on cassette when I was three. I used to play it in my toy player and I knew all the chants!

    UNITED TILL I DIE!!!

    LUHG

  107. Tomo1982 says:

WHAT ??? – Indeed mate, remember (just) the back end of the Eighties when there was a lot of pressure on him, then the Lee Martin winner in FA Cup Final 1990 that kick started it all, the rest, as they say, is history.

Been extremely privileged to have lived my football supporting life with Sir Alex as the leader of our football team, can’t imagine it without him and don’t want to quite frankly. What’s the next stage up from a knighthood??!

  108. wayne says:

i know giggs is 37 but he was superb yesterday, his understanding with park is top class, this has been parks best season with utd he’s getting better, tony v since coming back from injury has been a revelation and if rooney’s new role is to play deeper don’t see any room for sneidjer

  109. giggs11gerrard0 says:

    @FITB

Yeah i agree with that rational mate but buying Sneijder would not be back up for Giggs it would be to replace him and thats why I cant see it.

Personally I would love Sneijder in the team he is a class act but will SAF do it this year?

  110. sachu says:

@ GIGGS 11 GERRARD 0 remember that sir alex did say that we will have to stretch ourselves in the market when scholes and giggs retire so if scholes retires we will get a marquee signing and i believe he is desperate to land sanchez even though we have wingers
    PLS SIGN KAKA

  111. giggs11gerrard0 says:

    @Wayne

My thoughts exactly mate, hence as much as I think WS would be a great player for us cant see it being any time soon.

  112. wayne says:

@sachu why are you shouting mate

  113. bobkoh says:

I am thinking on 28 May after the CL final, fans around the world should do a collective bow to Sir Alex.
Upload the vid to youtube! Hail to the Chief!

  114. fergie is the boss says:

sachu – there is no guile in that midfield, how have united run chelsea’s legs off, a combo of workrate attacking football and counter attacking chelsea in numbers. Anderson does not offer united any kind of creative drive giggs offers, we lose rooney’s creativity of he is shafted up top, and we have no one getting in behind a slow barca backline, rooney has found his feet again playing in the hole. You play that team, we aint going to win. What is the point playing fletcher anderson valencia and park, when fletcher and anderson do not have giggs and rooneys passing or creative ability, to get the ball to valencia and park. That is the beuty of valencia and park, they make united’s midfield a 5 man CM, but we break forward into a 442

  115. fergie is the boss says:

you take giggs and hernandez out of the team, we lose the bulk of our creativity

  116. sachu says:

@ WAYNE SORRY MATE BUT WAT DID I SHOUT ABOUT

  117. WHAT ??? says:

    @Giggs12Gerrard0

I agree on the transfer talk. Theres plenty of players I like watching in England and abroad. Sneidjer is one of them, but that doesn’t mean I want to see any of them at the Club. Theres a difference.

If we leave out our 2 veterans and Carrick, the amount if options we’ll have in the middle next year is already impressive. Fletcher, Anderson, Gibson, Cleverley, let alone the Kids yet to step up to the first team. With Giggs and hopefully Scholes still here I wouldn’t lose any sleep if we didn’t “spend big” on a big name midfielder. Can’t think of a single season I haven’t been happy with the players we’ve already got. I enjoy reading all the transfer rumours but bottom line if Alex doesn’t buy for whatever reason I trust him and the players at his proposal. When Arry said only Fergie could win with THIS team it was a backhanded compliment but it was also the truth. I think Alex could probably win something with Tottenham’s team to be honest. Real Madrid and City are case in point about what wins medals. Its not the players alone. Alex knows how to get the best out the the Nevilles and the Valencias and the Parks of this world. He knows how to develop a Giggs and a Ronaldo. Whoever we have in our Squad next year or any year, as long as we play the United Way we will always dominate.

  118. sachu says:

@ FITB ur right in that it does take a little bit of the creativity but as much as ilove sir ryan giggs we are playing against xavi and iniesta and giggs is 37 can he handle them

  119. wayne says:

@giggs 11 i agree ws is a great player but can’t see sir alex paying alot of money for him and the wages,as you said youngsters coming through, giggs has at least one more year left.obviously utd need to sign a goalie and a ball winner,if hargo is coming back don’t even need that, everyone keeps saying utd lack creativity don’t see it myself, have lots of players with skill and vision

  120. wayne says:

    @sachu caps lock mate

  121. WHAT ??? says:

@Tomo 1982 – Good times aye? Whats the next stage up you ask? Replacing the Queen on our Currency mate hahaha

  122. giggs11gerrard0 says:

    @What???

Absolutely mate and hand on heart if i was asked do we need Sneijder then I would say we definately do. We very much need that much talked about creative midfielder but at what cost to the squad. I am not so much disagreering about the need for new blood in midfield but more so the fact with current squad SAF has built I dont see him making a marquee midfield signing.

  123. fergie is the boss says:

sachu – I would rather play a match fit ryan giggs, than fletcher who has had a poor season, and has not played a full 90 minutes in months. I would play giggs ahead of anderson who does nothing for me going forward, you got to attack barca not sit back. They did that 2 years ago and they lost

  124. sachu says:

@ wayne i just would love us to sign KAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  125. giggs11gerrard0 says:

    @Wayne

Correct mate i would say we ave more vision and skill in the squad than anyone in the prem, with Park and Valencia’s return coupled with Roo and Hernandez partnership, plus Nani we have it all over the park.

Number one priority has to be to lock down Edwin for another year (not happening i know) or buy a ready made replacement. We can ill afford another Smeichal leaving debacle.

  126. Northstander says:

Was at the game with my dad yesterday and neither of us stopped singing. Great match and great result, now for that one more point so I can lose my voice again. Struggling in work today!

  127. giggs11gerrard0 says:

    * Schmeichel (typos)

  128. willierednut says:

We bow to you Sir. The greatest club manager of our times and possibly the best of all time. I got criticized for not being critical enough of the boss. You get so called fans on here, using disgusting language about SAF. I’ll continue to attack those cunts and rival fans who think they can come onto RoM to abuse our manager and players. Next week, we will complete the road to redemption. Viva Sir Alex Ferguson!

  129. fergie is the boss says:

willierednut – it would be amazing of teh completed the road ro redemption if they can beat the divers

  130. WHAT ??? says:

@FITB – agreed about the formation changes. Like I was tellingmy mate the other day Real didn’t do as well as Inter or Chelsea against Barca because they don’t have the same passion defending as attacking. United are constantly changing shape, picking up players and plugging holes in the match. We don’t stop, and that allows us to be fluid with formation during a game depending on who has possession. Players like Park and Tony are key to that. And its Carrick’s positional play that makes it possible sitting in front of our back for. The media can write us off but Pep would be a mug to come to England feeling cocky. This will be the hardest test they’ve had all season and I think we’re more prepared than they are.

  131. fergie is the boss says:

WHAT ??? – it will be a big mistake if we bench giggs for the final, stick rooney uptop and lose the bulk of our creativity. No offence to fletcher and anderson, but they are no giggs and rooney. Look at barca, mark messi out of the game they aint going anywhere, there is no etoo or henry anymore. pedro and villa have not had the same impact etoo and henry had on their 2009 side. They rely totaly on messi to get them a goal out of nothing, yes xavi and iniesta are fantastic, but they still play infront of teams, they may have more of the ball but if we play the same side has yesterday we can win, attack them what do we have to lose

  132. WHAT ??? says:

@ Andy – Top Post Mate

@ Willirednut – Easy Pal! Thats it, you’d think we’re being naive for having faith in the Manager after all he’s done. Case in point the players he chooses to sign and publicly back. He could sign a homeless footballer who’s only played… hang about. Haha. No your absolutely spot on mate, Alex has done enough to make a normally wily and skeptical cunt like me suspend belief and trust his decisions wholeheartedly. I remember saying give him (Ronaldo) time, give him time, he’ll be a top player for us. Now look, best all round player on the fucking planet (imo of course). The Manager deserves our unquestioned support he really does, what a way to win the 19th. Sleeves up and Graft, you gotta love it.

  133. Tomo1982 says:

FITB – I agree, though we missed the tenacity of Fletcher in the final 2 years ago, he has rarely hit those heights this year and given his dramatic weight loss and lack of match practice it would be a big risk to throw him in for the final. Also Giggs has been playing majestically, Rooney revelling in the hole (so Coleen says anyway), and Park like a man posessed winning tackles he had no right to, I’m not sure he will start.

No one can genuinely say what the boss man will go for, but I honestly think the team that started yesterday (with Paddy back if fit) could do a number on TWGFTE (TM) Barcelona – bring it on!

  134. wayne says:

@sachu you seem like a good guy mate don’t get why you’re concerned in bringing in players all the time.kaka has had plenty of injury problems and would come with a hefty wage bill, think real paid 50mill for him a couple of years ago, won’t sell him to utd for cheap don’t see a upside in a kaka signing, unless he came at a cut price transfer fee and wages which seems highly unlikely

  135. WHAT ??? says:

@FITB – mate I never rated Pedro, I do still rate Villa but when his goals started drying up he lost his bottle. Kinda understandable considering Messi is on 100 goals or something daft. He’s still a good striker but if he’s struggling in La Liga our defence should make it hard enough to put him off his game.

Giggs as been sensational for some time now this season, and Carrick too since returning to his best. I doubt Fletch will be ready in time, which is a shame because im one who thinks his energy would have made the difference in 09. He was fully fit unlike our midfield that started. But with Giggs, Carrick and our back five in the form they’re in, they have to already have their name on the team sheet. Add Park, Tony and Rooney and theres one space left. Thats gonna be the surprise for us. Will he go for the blitzing form of Hernandez or will he move Park in from the left and pack the midfield with Nani on the left?

Who knows? Can’t fucking wait tho! Im hoping for some interesting teams for Blackburn and Blackpool as well.

  136. sachu says:

@ wayne guillem balague said real will sel kaka and benzema i know we wont sign him just that i loved him wen he was at milan remember his perfomance against us in europe

@FITB GREAT POST MATE good point about villa and pedro not making impact as henry and etoo
but sir alex did say 2 days ago that he is abig match player he will play agaist blackburn and blackpool

  137. fergie is the boss says:

Tomo1982 – Some PPL are still thinking we are like the side from 2 years ago, in terms of how united are set up. The team has changed, we are far more balanced side, we are more flued interms of how united play. And united are a team again, we have strikers who offer us different things unlike 2 years ago. Rooney is in the hole, do we want him out of the position that has seen the old rooney return, and take hernandez out of the team who will cause barca all sorts of problems. We may is well go for it, but united do play 451 we just have more going forward.

Why anyone would think now, playing fletcher for the CL final now would be a gd idea, playing anderson would be a bad mistake. He has not exactly been in great form, and in the big games anderson has not been in great form.

  138. fergie is the boss says:

WHAT ??? – ferdinand and vidic do not have to deal with an etoo, villa is stuck on the left messi is playing more central, yes they will swap positions but we wont be dealing with a central striker. Beyond messi and villa, there is not much of a goal threat about them, maybe iniesta is well will offer a goal threat. Barca will have to deal with, if united do play the same side we played yesterday, they will have to deal with valencia driving on the right, park’s energy adding giggs rooney and hernandez, pique and poyel will have a hell of allot to deal with. But without messi barca would be nothing

  139. Andy says:

    @ WHAT ???

    Cheers mate :-D

  140. fitz'em'good'n'tight says:

Since some people are sharing their stories about how they got started supporting united here is mine : As a young boy i was more interested in cartoons than football but the 1990 world cup changed all that. irelands great run to reach the quater finals had the whole country captavated.
After that football was on my radar big time, as a six year old kid many of my friends were choosing liverpool because they were the most successfull or villa because they had lots of irish players at the time. i had not made up my mind until march 2nd 1991.

My dad was watching a football match between united and everton and on as a substitute came a 17 year old ryan giggs. In a team full of men he looked like a child running on and he seemed to me as a seven year old to be not too much older than myself.

That was over twenty years ago and ive never regretted it. I am the only red amoung my friends which is strange for ireland, we have liverpool, arsenal, chelsea, villa, leeds, spurs, newcastle and even a reading fan in my gang! the best part is giggs still running around like that boy i seen all those years ago.

Its weeks like last week that make me thank my lucky stars i chose united, OR did united choose me.

  141. Tomo1982 says:

FITB – Am with you mate, we have to take the game to them, and if we do we will shut a lof of people up. Need to get this last point out of the way on Saturday, but man am I excited!

By the way, just seen a campaign doing the rounds on Facebbok to get “19″ by Paul Hardcastle to number 1 by downloading it in our droves… I don’t like to tempt fate so I’m gonna wait until Saturday until I do so, but that would be so funny.

  142. Zulu-Malta says:

It should have been the other way round. We adore you Sir Alex for making us sooooo HAPPY!!!
I personally believe that we are obliged to you and your family for these countless trophies you have won for our beloved MANCHESTER UNITED !!!!

  143. Zibbie says:

FITB awesome attack put’s fear in the hearts of all they face!!!!!!!!!! A rested Giggs at CAM with Rooney in the hole and Lil Pea on the last shoulder with Tony running up and down the right side and Park showing up where ever wow a nightmare for all !!!!!!!!!!!!! No Etto will help on Defense as well as a rested Rooney dropping deep to clog the midfield when Barca have the ball. And the game will be in England.

Down load it now mates. UK, World wide. Maybe Costas and the rest of our twitter lads could get it trending on Twitter. Not sure if I know what that means, but it sounds good enough.

FITB: Spot on mate. The essence of the midfield should be Giggs-Park. Rooney, Chicharito, TonyV have to play in my view. Ball control has to be the number one and we need to put massive pressure on them when they have the ball.

  148. oswestrysredarmy says:

    Hail United, Hail Sir Alex.

  155. StScholesOfSalford says:

i wouldnt say no to WS coming to OT, but what will his wage demands be like. 200k+ a week is a hell of alot of money! Personally i think with the likes of PJS, tonyV, Nani all being able to attack well and Rooney now enjoying playing as an attacking mid, were ok in that dept. A battler in Mf would be a good addition, but attacking wise i think were ok.

If WS were to come, it would be quite cool to see a line up like this….

    Neuer

    Rafael/Fabio Rio Vidic Evra

    TonyV Carrick/Fletcher Park

    Sneider Rooney

    Hernandez

with rooney able to drop a bit deeper if needed but also having that endless energy to get up there and be an extra attacker.
