PICTURE: Gibson In Everton Shirt

“It’s a great club with great fans and hopefully I can improve Everton,” he said. “I think I’m a goalscoring midfielder and hopefully I can get a few goals. I’ve scored a few long-range shots — I don’t think I’ve scored one inside the box to be honest — and if I score goals it’s a bonus for me. I’m just looking to do as well as I can for the team.”

Good luck to you lad. Didnt work out as you didnt get the run of games under your belt that maybe could have lifted your career. Not a bad player, just someones skill set we didnt really need at this time. Your only as good as the players around you allow you to be and some of them are selfish fuckers. Good luck with the toffees and prove yourself.

  2. Alom says:

Best thing he left for both parties.. he wasnt getting a game here
even with a “crisis” in midfield..

all we can do now is wish him well at Everton

  3. WillieRedNut says:

You suit Blue, Gibbo! Good luck lad.

  4. Utd4life says:

    All the best Gibbo.

  5. Costas says:

A sight that will send some of our plastic fans to heaven.

Nonetheless, good luck Darron. All the best. And you did score inside the box at Southampton 3 years ago. ;)

  6. smartalex says:

Good luck Darron! Your passion and determination is now going to launch your career.
Into orbit you go, son. Take the World by storm!

  7. brett1985 says:

When United fans say he’s a bad player that is only by our very high standards where we expect to have only the best in order to win the league and european cup.

He’s a good premier league player and good luck to him.

  8. James21 says:

All the very best Darren, lets hope your new fans don’t crucify you like some of the OT faithful.
(Thats all the very best except when you play against Utd.)

  9. Gandalf says:

Good luck Darron – I’m sure you will improve with Everton. Playing regularly is all you need, it will definitely improve you as a player.

  10. The Anonymous One says:

Shittest fucking player in the history of United with Bebe aside. Good riddance to that twat who was boasting in the summer that he was good enough.

Please Fergie now the new midfield general can arrive…….

  11. d says:

  21. smartalex says:

Costas – exactly! Check my 19:13 on Ravel’s Agent. Methinks there’s foul afoot.

  22. Costas says:

    @smartalex

Don’t think it’s him mate. The style seems different. He’s probably one of those knobs that drove Gibbo away from twitter last year. No doubt he wants to remain anonymous. And I was wondering if we were going to go through the entire day without one of those “generous” messages towards Gibson.

  23. royboy says:

Prove yourself my friend. Sometimes even the great Sir Alex doesnt give some lads a fair chance. Look at Berbatov. He is a little unforgiving sometimes

  24. smartalex says:

costas – You’re probably right. i just read his foolish submission at the top of the Ticket-Scandal thread, and he speaks very well. Far too well for the ‘other’ that I had thought of.
    He is a twit though!

  25. Costas says:

    @smartalex

Yep! Also, I wouldn’t this out as another identity on RedCaptainPark’s part.

  26. James21 says:

    Tony Bee
    I blame Ciders Devil.

  27. WillieRedNut says:

Stop flirting yous two! Get a bloody room!

  28. Mikael says:

Good luck Darren, too bad you we’re not good enough for United but you had a good go and gave us som nice goals. Be well!

  29. smartalex says:

    There’s jealousy afoot, fetishly displayed!

Costas, agreed! The twisted twits stir.

  30. WillieRedNut says:

I’ll pay for your bees wax! Just get out of ear!

  31. smartalex says:

Swarming Syrup-Suckers! My hives is stinging!

  32. chidozie paschal says:

  33. smartalex says:

Everton midfielder Tim Cahill on Twitter: “Fantastic signing in Darron Gibson from Manchester united. He will definitely bring alot of quality to the team.”

  34. smartalex says:

Louis Saha on Twitter: “After Darron [Gibson] can we have Diouf and Pogba too?!? Just askin. Would be great too. Just sayin.”

  35. izzy says:

    Yeay! Now Pogba can shine!

  36. WillieRedNut says:

Waxey Gordon is looking to bend your ear hole? Ringing sensation!

  37. izzy says:

Btw, good luck Gibbo son… Thanks for your commitment all these years…. Too bad you won’t be missed..

  38. WillieRedNut says:

    Bugger off Louis Ha ha!

  39. smartalex says:

I like to keep muffs wrapped around my ears, for I’m a deaf cunt.

  40. WillieRedNut says:

I like my muff trimmed! No ear hole in sight!

  41. King Eric says:

Anonymous one. Fuck off you cunt. Did you ever see Birtles and Milne et al? Clearly not you spoilt bastard. Do one.

  42. Costas says:

Gibson wasn’t keeping Pogba sidelined. And this will become evident over the next few months. Plus, the one time they both played together for the first team, it was Gibson that did most of the shining…

  43. James21 says:

    Oh King Eric. :D
I nearly put Paddy Roach and Ashley Grimes but decided to ignore the comment. 10/10 mate :D

  44. smartalex says:

Darron Gibson on Rooney: “I spoke to him last week and he told me he loved his time here. He said it was a great club, the fans were great and also asked me to get a shirt with my name on it for his son!”

He added: “I’m 24 and need to be playing as many games as I can. I wasn’t getting a chance at United, playing games here and there, but Scholesy coming back didn’t affect me that much — I knew it was time to move on.”

  45. Oriola says:

Gibson,i pray God we bless ur career i still love Gibson bobo.

  46. onside says:

    Darron looks good in blue!

I thought he scored from inside the area against Scunthorpe last season (5-2) when he chipped the keeper from an improbable angle.

Good luck with Everton. Tell them “cheers” for Rooney

  47. Always Be Closing says:

Thank fuck for that – it’s taken long enough and too much frustration.

  48. Saad says:

I hope Darron gets that run of games he badly desires and hope that’ll help push him to the next playing level and becomes an awesome Premier League midfielder. I want Darron to have an excellent career at Everton.

  49. mike kama says:

Good luck and may your star rise and shine bright for all the doubters to see! Great shot that I’m sure will be giving the likes of De Gea and Lindegaard sleepless nights! Can’t wait to actually see you play week in week out! Be sure we will be following! Hope you fulfil all your ambitions as a footballer and become as successful as you can! Fare well Darron Gibson, you served Manchester United well even though you didn’t have the chance to serve fully!

  50. Heywood red says:

Good luck to him ,not as crap as some make out just not good enough for united . Decent guy off the pitch been in his company a couple of times socially and found him a sound lad . Likes a drink or three but that doesn’t make him a criminal

  51. McINnes says:

All the best to him, just because he didnt make it at United doesnt mean who wont shine somewhere else, Good club person, loyal to United till the end.

  52. Giles Oakley says:

I’m with Saad and others here wishing Darron a really good career at Everton. He’s potentially a much better player than some people think and it always annoyed me the way some United supporters belittle him and others who don’t quite manage to nail down a regular first team slot. I don’t know who Anonymous is (heh, heh) but his abuse directed at Gibbo was well off beam, as King Eric rightly points out. And while I can see why Milne and Birtles are players who leap to mind as well-known failures, I could think of many, many more who were far worse than both of them as well as Darron Gibson over the last half century. I wish Gibbo the very best of luck and I hope he not only does well at Everton (except against United of course) but also forces his way into the Ireland midfield, as seemed likely at the beginning of his international career.

Anyway, think of all those 30-yarders that may help knock points off City, Liverpool, Chelsea and any other rivals we need to see fail.

  53. The Red Man says:

Thank God for the deal going through
    Good riddance

  54. bruce thomas says:

Best picture I’ve ever seen of Gibson — out of a United shirt.

Who are we going to blame now?? — the cunts we should be blaming all along — the fucking ginger Gimps.

  55. Billfunk says:

Goodlucky Gibbo. You are great player and I know you will be greater there.

  56. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

Hope he becomes a solid player for Everton! All the best Gibbo, will always remember those great long-range shots.

  57. Ugandan Red says:

I wish it was 2.5 Million + Rodwell that Everton paid

  58. smartalex says:

“I thought Gibson played well,” said Moyes after the 1-1 draw at Villa Park. “I thought he passed the ball well. Hopefully he’ll help us and give us something we’ve lacked a little bit. He gave us a bit of composure at times and passed it nicely. He’ll benefit from some regular games; you can see he just ran out of steam midway through the second half.”

Moyes added: “The boys that have come from Manchester United tend to do quite well for us. Anyone who saw the game would think he did a decent job for us. I think nine or 10 Premier League clubs would like to have signed Darron Gibson.”

  59. DohaRed says:

I always liked Darron, and hoped he would make it as a regular for United. Cracking shot and some cracking defence-splitting passes.I hope he does well at Everton.

Its also nice to see about 99% of fans on this thread wishing Darron the best. Just a pity we all have to put up with plastics like Anonymous, Red man and bruce thomas. Why don’t you three do one as well.

  60. WillieRedNut says:

    Trying something!
