On the week that he was named Academy Player of the Year, Angel Gomes made his debut for Manchester United’s first team. Only 16, Gomes became the youngest player to ever feature for the first team in the Premier League.
He replaced Wayne Rooney in the second half, with the captain likely making his last competitive performance for United at Old Trafford.
Gomes then took to Twitter to post a picture of him with Rooney 10 years ago and the pair today.
