Fantastic for Darren on a personal level, yes.

But it’s only fantastic news for the squad if he gets back to his highest level, which is by no means guaranteed at his age and after what he’s been through.

I just hope it isn’t taken for granted that he will achieve this, and the need to buy a new midfielder remains overlooked.

kanchelskis i don’t think that will effect any transfers and the fact Fletch will be ready to go on the pre season tour should give everyone enough time to assess whether he’s truly over the illness.

  3. NBI Red Onion says:

the illness can’t be cured, quite frankly I can’t see him holding down a first team place, like hargreaves the club will let him run down his contract, can’t see them renewing it.

That is a very good news about Darren Fletcher, hope he can make his full recovery.Even with my years of experience in the field of Medicine I won’t give any pessimistic opinion about his ailment as my love for the lad is infinite…..

Costas, I agree. Primary thing is to go into pre-season with a settled, happy and hopefully even stronger squad whether Rooney is part of it or not. Thats Moyes / Fergies first objective.

If he stays, some people will never forgive him and that number will increase the longer it drags on but if he got back to top form who could say they wouldn’t want him at UNITED.

What incredible scenes, looks like something from times gone by with all of the banners, people and heights they reached scaling buildings, scaffolding, trees and the like. What an intense and special few days it has been. Just reinforced what a special club Manchester United is.
