It is a good buy. United needed a box striker and Owen fits the bill. The Red Devils missed a lot of scoring chances last season, which a fit Owen would have easily tucked away. The risk is worth taking and it might turn out the greatest in the history of football.

If you want to compete you have to bring in better players, it’s no good saying about Madrid or City because they will be spending money every year and they can’t sign everyone.

@matt:That will not happen…clubs like real and City cannot sustain this level of spending…the winter transfer window will have en exodus of players from real and City for not having enough opportunities to play…not that i am saying we should sign them but they will be available at a very much reduced fee
