quite nice. simple. not bought a shirt in 6 years but may be tempted …
Its better than last years, I always thought the white shirt last year looked more reminiscent of an international shirt (for the US for instance). I prefered the black and blue number. Yeah this one is ok, what will te third shirt look like the one we play Arsenal away in.

I havent bought a shirt in 5 years either. Not because of the Glazer issue but because the bloody sponsors logo comes off in the wash at the 6th attempt and Im a slob who wears my shirt everyday so the 6th wash is only a couple of weeks in. If the sponsors logo is so fundamental to the shirt please do a stich on Manchester United. If you buy a shirt for your kid then after a matter of days they are ruined. My boy goes through 3 -4 tops a day and so Im washing every day and a week and the United shirt starts to look like shit.
Sorry Ive tried saying something to Manchester United but they dont give a fek. I run with an old Vodafone training top. Ive managed to scratch the sponsor off and used chemicals to get rid of the glue.
Very nice about time we just got a proper football top. I dont buy them personally but my little boy will be donning this cheeky number.
i think for the past years, the shirt that we have been using is very very untouchable and for these one i think is more immaginal n beyond all the rest so the rest can join us but they cant beat us. united all the way no size n secondly i the design is too beautiful. but i want to alert our coach that these time hi selection should be very strong so we the fans will also fellow the team with all our heart n we fans will be happy and be proud of our chearish team especially we the fans from Ghana.

I hate with a passion the ‘Gingham’ ones, I’m considering buying a retro shirt (70′s White Away, 3 stripes down the chest) but this one actually looks decent. I’m sure there must be a flaw somewhere.

I liked the blue and black last season only thing is I’ll always associate those colours with Inter and the city of Milan in general Same with our other white shirts, most of them had blue (or blue and red) and thats obviously Real. This season its just white and red so it doesn’t remind me of any other club. Even with the (looks like print) black and white badge, I think its a tidy away shirt. Loads slagged off the blue and black last season but it grew on most people. I can see the red trim becoming popular.

Be fair Sneijder was something before he went to Real just that Real decided to buy up all bloody talent in Europe and most of the players didnt know whether they were coming or going, see also Kaka. Thgis Sahin wasnt anything special before he went to Real and he certainly isnt anything after/during his stay. Its one thing if Real had a hard on over Ronaldo and wanted him but it would be like them going gooey at the knees for Park. In fact Id prefer Park to Sahin.

Course, if your planning on BUYING this shirt then yeah, durability-wise its not gonna be 100% hemp canvas is it? MOST football shirts are mass produced pieces of shit comprised of shit man-made materials and assembled by people paid a disproportionally shit salary. A mate of mine is a tailor/ designer he buys canvas (not print) numbers/letters and tailors his own kits using real badges from real shirts. No sponsors. He only uses natural material for his shirts so they feel like quality and last forever, none of this thin plastic stuff. He makes a tidy sum tailoring them to order as well.
The best shirts are the replica old ones any way, they are well made, feel like a real shirt and last a long time. Besides, apart from a new kit who would *willingly* wear clothes made from wafer thin plastic anyway? Its more like a shower curtain haha.
BUT, as far as Manchester United are concerned our lads will look good on the pitch. Doubt we’ll ever see their shirts falling apart when they step up for kick off, a la real life.

South africa does not have daylight saving so the easy way to figure it out is that the time in sa always GMT-2.
2 hours between november and march 1 hour april and october. The UK changes it time an hour later on the last sunday in march and puts it an hour earlier in the last sunday of march. At the moment its 1 hour difference pal. So the game aka 15:00pm SA makes it 14:00pm uK.

So it does seem we are still looking for a LB, and just suddenly I thought of this lad in the Euro alongside RvP: Jetro Willems… Ok he’s still very young and was struggling in those Euro games, but he does seem promising for the future, and will also not make Evra feel “wanted-out”. Instead Evra could teach the lad a thing or two before he either hangs up the boots or change team or switch to a place on the bench, and by that time Jetro could be a “Jet-Hero” on the left back position… would not be too expensive as well I think if we go for him
Bishopville – the previous season’s away kit usually becomes the third kit the following season. Strange really, as it means we get 2 years out of the away kit but only 1 year out of home kits now – which is a real shame as our last two home kits have been brilliant. On the upside, we’ll only have to suffer the gingham for 1 year.
The blue gingham number was probably another goalie shirt. We usually have three or four variations of the keeper kit per season.

I’ve decided on a Kagawa home shirt, the gingham looks pretty good on the actual thing, instead of pictures. I’m just holding out for a couple of weeks in case there’s a surprise signing.
I’ll have to see this one in person before I decide. I like the round kung-fu style collar but it looks a bit like the red stripe at the front leading down over the chest might involve velcro.
With my dashing good looks I can pull off red gingham polyester but velcro on a shirt is a step too far, especially for 60+ quid.

Samuel – If you look at the bodies of Xavi and Iniesta they have actually been to the gym !
Iniesta back in 2005 was a runt of player, skinny,pale and looked like a sick kid, he hit the gym and got athletic.
Xavi too but less of a Runt.
Fabio is an interesting player for, he doesn’t have the bite or bravery of Rafa but has a better brain and techique and has the ability to score goal (see reserves footy). At left back, he’ll have to try and emulate Lahm being a natural right footer is always odd to see at left back.
I love Paddy but Im sick of seeing his fatigued arse all year long, he needs a break.

Clint – if iniesta didn’t have some form of athleticsm in the first place then i doubt Barca would bother with him. Let’s be honest, andres is still pale and not the strongest but he uses his body well when shielding the ball e.t.c. As a footballer, you obviously have to possess upper body strength but generally, Barca focus on their endurance, stamina and more importantly, technique. Same goes for xavi.
I just feel that in the premier league, too much emphasis is placed on power and headless chicken running. Scholes gets overlooked while gerrard and lampard are championed because they ‘pop in the box’. Personally, i feel a player like lingard would flourish at united. His intelligence with and without the ball, speed, technique e.t.c will always push him further in the game and we should encourage that.
Agreed regarding fabio. I think he just needs more games, especially in the premier league. He can emulate lahm’s style, he’ll have to work on his left foot as wel. High hopes for him.

@Samuel – thats a fair point about Xavi and co but im not sure they’d be the same player in EPL. Not because of any inherent superiority just because our league is faster and more physical. International tournaments are different kettle of fish to week in week out leagues imo, so its not straight forward to consider what La Liga players would do in England. De Gea was fine in Spain but you can’t be that skinny and safely collect corners out here Lol. No chance. Likewise I don’t think Messi could repeat Ronaldo’s feats in EPL unless he hit the gym somewhat. Im sure theres one but I can’t think of a light weight skinny player who danced his way around the EPL without getting absolutely clattered.

Clint – united aren’t spending lavishly/for the sake of it like some clubs. FERGIE has continued the philosophy of trying to produce and i think that will definitely give the younger players belief and confidence to step up. As you say, lingard is a star in the making. Petrucci, tunnicliffe, larnell cole, will keane (hopefully recovers well from his injury), michael keane e.t.c. At united, we have a nucleus of outstanding potentials Who have all been playing together for a long time, all the hardwork of the coaches is now starting to reap rewards. I think compared to all fans at different clubs, united fans probably have the most patience regarding youth, it’s a mentality that we’ve all been immersed in. I honestly believe we’ll start to see these young players making the step up. The stakes may be high but FERGIE knows how to bed them in.
Personally, i feel at least petrucci and tunnicliffe could make the step up this season, lingard could spring a suprise.

Definitely. We know him better than anybody. If Wayne misses a couple of games, it takes him three or four to come back.
He needs a lot of football. He’s a big lad. He is stocky and he needs a lot of games. I always thought it was a difficult one really. He’d not played since his last game on May 13 until the third game of the Euros more than a month later.
I don’t know what his stats were but he certainly didn’t look as sharp as normal. When he played one big game in four days and then had to play another one, that is very hard.

Utd till i die – The premier league is famed for its physical nature and speed but gradually, that has started to drift and more technical play is coming in. Teams are now wanting to play more football (excluding stoke, maybe westham with allardyce), referees are no longer lenient so you can’t really “Clatter” into anyone without spending the next 10 games banned. I don’t think clubs want to lose key players so you’ll see more discipline in players than ever before.

I think this kit compares very favourably with our last white kit (the shocker we wore in the Champions League final at Wembley.) For the record I like the blue/black hooped kit as well.
For all intents and purposes the squad is perfect as is.Most ppl don’t realise how difficult it is managing a large group of established professionals.None of these types would be content with a bit part role.Consider madrid for instance.It took all of Mou’s man management nous to get the rotation between Benz and Higuain just right which resulted in both players being reasonably satisfied.SAF does the best he can when it comes to rotating players.Our young ones ARE content to bide their time on the bench IF the believe they have a chance to contribute in the near future.These young ones are the future.They bleed Utd.They should be given every opportunity to stake their claim.
Fred – I use a program called ‘Alcohol 120%’ to mount iso files but don’t use it often. WinRar extracts them but not sure if it mounts them.
I have a defragger called Tune-Up Utilities or I just use the Windows one but I hear the Auslogics one is good.

Disagree mate our European campaign last term will tell us that, our peformances against Everton, Wigan, and City in the biggest month of the season will tell you we aint perfect.
Also in terms of managing professionals there is no one better than Fergie. in 99 he kept Ole, Teddy, Yorke, and Cole all happy. We cant rest on our laurels just because we become attached to players.

Hey up guys, was busy for the day as watched The Dark Knight first and then caught The Dark Knight Rises. It was a really awesome and fitting conclusion to Nolan’s vision of Batman. Obviously, not as good as The Dark Knight but that’s not a slight on this film. Not many films are going to touch the levels of TDK anytime soon, maybe never when it comes to superhero and Batman films. Having said that, TDKR is everything we would want out of the final part of the trilogy and more.
