“The deal got done pretty quickly and it was a bit of a whirlwind really,” the 21 year-old said. “I first heard of the interest about two days ago and I didn’t really know too much about it to be honest. I just came in from training at United and then I spoke to the gaffer (Sir Alex), who told me I was going down to Ipswich for a few months and things went from there really. There’s a few of the lads here that I know already. I know David (McGoldrick) from playing with him at Coventry earlier this season and I also know Frank Nouble from playing for England youth with him. I obviously know Lee Martin as well, from when he was at United, so it will be good to see a few familiar faces and hopefully that will help me to settle in.”
