  2. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Now, this is obviously legit. However, whether it came from paint or more advanced image-editing software like Photoshop is anyone’s guess. But Windows 7′s version of Paint is decent enough for somebody skilled enough to come up with this.

Anyways, it is not my place to argue about that stuff. Congratulations and make sure to let your voice be heard. Paul Scholes AKA God deserves it more than anyone else.

  3. smartalex says:

Enjoy the show Jennifer, you lucky fish!

  4. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

look who on a fucking roll

Scott keep it up and then rip into Shitty after we win the community shield

  5. stretford_end ryda says:

  6. Giles Oakley says:

Nice one, Jennifer: Gary’s kiss was sweeter than City’s whine!

  7. Fred says:

Jenny Rix, your picture is class! Congratulations. :)

I found out about this contest too late, but I would have done the image of him scoring the goal in that game http://www.manchesterunited-info.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/manchester_city_manchester_united_paul_scholes_goal_.jpg

Congrats again to the winner and everyone who submitted entries. Enjoy the game! :)

  8. redevil_83 says:

haha look at those empty seats at bitters stadium in background

  9. Fred says:

@Balaji – Jennifer might have a tablet & pen thingy.

  10. Zibbie says:

    Enjoy.

  11. Fred says:

Well we know she lurks on here, so maybe she can tell us! :D

  12. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, I am pretty sure she has one. Nobody can produce that amount of awesomeness with a mouse. Which is why I said, “But Windows 7′s version of Paint is decent enough for somebody skilled enough to come up with this.” Key words being somebody skilled enough. ;)

  13. Kings says:

    See you tomorrow Scholesy.

  14. Zibbie says:

So G. Nev has a man crush on Paul?

  15. Costas says:

Nice one Jennifer. The gayness in me is growing.

  16. Zibbie says:

Have a great time at the game Kings. Wow to see a game at Old Trafford…..

  17. Zibbie says:

That just might be your penis that is growing?

  18. Zibbie says:

    I think it moved!

  19. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Costas, Yeah, I realized this is a bad time for me to watch House M.D. immediately after seeing these pictures multiple times.

  20. Costas says:

    @Balaji

It’s a day of man crushes. All we need now is for King Eric to pop up and tell us about his love for Chicharito.

  21. Fred says:

Balaji – right on. It just so happens I have a Bamboo pen & tablet myself. I rarely use it though. Maybe I’ll have a go at making the picture I had in mind and upload the results. :)

I was wondering if the use of such a tool would be prohibited in the rules, or even if an entry could be rejected for being “too good”. The winner of the previous competition is fantastic, btw. Really awesome. Clearly done with a mouse, but by someone extremely talented artistically. :) Congratualtions to that person (Matt Kerr) and once again to Ms. Rix from Bury. :)

  22. Zibbie says:

    I like the Twins, hehehehe.
    Lil Pea is sweet.
To give or receive that is the question? wow time for food…. hahahahaha
    Boobies. Haley save us……
    @Clint, Shakiras but please.

  23. BajanBoy says:

    I remember this…. Epic!!! Congrats Jennifer! :)

  24. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Glory Glory! Love Paul Scholes.

  25. Zibbie says:

This thread man crushes are on topic.
Off topic KICK CHITIES ASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. CedarsDevil says:

Well done Jennifer…………. About the picture, I wondered at the time whether Neville used tongue or not!

  27. Zibbie says:

Fletch is the Man, good to hear Fletch is doing well, do they test for HGH or steroids in the BEPL? Fletchinator will be back!!!!!

  28. Zibbie says:

LOL!!! I’m on the side of tongue.

  29. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Cedars’ entry means this thread is now officially NC-17 rated.

I think it was just lips. But I am making a mental note to ask that question to either Gary or Paul in a future Q&A. ;)

  30. CedarsDevil says:

Balaji – If Gary did use tongue that he cannot be blamed really, you know heat of the moment and all that!

  31. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Cedars, I would’ve used tongue and more for that magical goal scored by Scholesy.

  32. CedarsDevil says:

Balaji – And more? Do tell :-)

  33. Fred says:

Yeah, I think a lot of Reds would have happily sucked him off at that moment – and still would.

  34. Fred says:

What I like about all these Scholes and Van Der Sar threads on here today is that we’re getting a welcome reprieve from discussion about certain other midfielders/Dutchmen.

It’s great that these two genuine LEGENDS of the game are getting their due. :)

  35. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Cedars – Sshhhh…. I am not quite ready for that yet. With my comments on Dr. House, Phil Jones and Paul Scholes, I am giving off the wrong impression here.

    @Fred, Amen to that.

  36. CedarsDevil says:

Oh dear God Fred………… Even the slightest of hints could spark off things again! :-)

  37. smartalex says:

At the halfway stage of the summer transfer window, Manchester United blog Republik of Mancunia give Metro Sport their views on all the ins and outs at Old Trafford so far.

Surely there’s a thread in there somewhere.

  38. CedarsDevil says:

Balaji – Come out with it my friend, we will support you…. Remember our resident King Eric already admitted his bisexuality and man crush on Hernandez

  39. smartalex says:

“Maybe if it wasn’t for Twitter and this instant media it may have got resolved on Monday morning with me and Joey in my office,” Pardew added.

“I spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson today and he’s had this problem with Twitter before.

“We’re now following the guide that Sir Alex has said they have done [at Manchester United].

  40. Zibbie says:

NC-17 I have a note from my mom. Does that count?

  41. kanchelskis says:

    @smartalex

Yes, but you don’t get paid for a thread.

    ;-)

  42. CedarsDevil says:

    smartalex

Cheers for the link my friend, just goes to show yet again how much PL managers look to Sir Alex for guidance

  43. Zibbie says:

@Balaji all good the the Red hood mate. What a man does in his bedroom, living room, kitchen table or on the computer desk is all his own business. As I tell my gay friends, you can rub the belly, but those are my pants. I have a friend when drunk, kisses me but I insist no tongue.

  44. Mikekelly12 says:

Afternoon lads (and lasses). Right, that’s my sulk over with now that we have an iPhone friendly thread. Great pic Jennifer, captured the true ambience of wastelands with all those empty seats. He scores goals galore… He scores goals…. Wish his swan song was a staring role in an upcoming Wembley derby victory.

  45. smartalex says:

    @kanchelskis

True. That’s why I didn’t link it. I guess that Scott will link it if he wants to.

  46. ididnotzeeit says:

Inspired by Fred’s link, brought to you by the Legend that is Paul Scholes

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vCOnM4dg6Y

Favorite United goal of all time, hands down, bar none for me.

Man Crush doesn’t give him proper justice, naming rights to 1st born is more like it. Paul for a boy, Ginger for a girl :)

    Gotta love nostalgic threads!!!

  47. willierednut says:

Gay mans ball on here today. Backs against the wall!

  48. Fred says:

@Mikekelly12 – it could have been.

  49. Zibbie says:

SAF soon to be Lord Alex, what a guy. Clint Eastwood thinks he is cool.

  50. smartalex says:

    CedarsDevil

Cheers buddy! Sir Alex is the one they all try hardest against, yet know it’s not enough because he is a step better in every direction.

  51. CedarsDevil says:

    ididnotzeeit

Cheers for the video buddy, one his best indeed I guess because of its significance as well… Though he did score loads of crackers its so hard to pick just one!

  52. Fred says:

    Ididnotzeeit – thanks a lot! :)

Here’s one of my favourites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQXrMbArqSs Good Lord!

  53. willierednut says:

    Dirty Harry!

  54. Zibbie says:

    Fronts against the wall.
Could you please pick up the soap?

  55. Fred says:

In hindsight, Scholes should have started the CL Final imho.

  56. CedarsDevil says:

    ididnotzeeit & Fred

You’re spoiling us with them videos, keep it up!

  57. willierednut says:

    Jenny from the block!

  58. Zibbie says:

Mr T. says ” You look mighty good in those jeans” HHHUUMMMM…..ggeeeerrrr……….
@willie as usual, your making my day. You feeling lucky, punk?

  59. Zibbie says:

    did I shoot 5 or 6?
    GGGGGOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

  60. mikekelly12 says:

Fred – Yup, one of my favourites too that goal. There’s something about a goal that ricochets of the underside of the bar. Looking from behind the goal it was the only area of the goal above the keepers glove that it could have gone in, an inch lower and he’s either turning it onto the bar or picking his arm out the back of the net with the ball embedded in the glove!

  61. kanchelskis says:

    Fred

I honestly don’t think he had that final left in his legs.

A Scholes his prime would’ve given us a fighting chance. The Scholes of last season would’ve given us 60 minutes playing with 10 men. I hate to say it :(

  62. willierednut says:

Heard the bitters are struggling to sell their tickets for Sunday.

    Massive!

  63. Zibbie says:

I can not lie, I like big but’s.

  64. manc_sam says:

THAT IS SIMPLY STUNNING !!!!! Whoever did this is a genius aswell !

  65. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, That is my favorite goal of all time. The one he scored against Bradford is technically more difficult and thus better, but for pure thrills and making me ejaculate, nothing beats the Villa goal. There are very few goals that I’ve seen come close to being as good as that (Zidane against Bayern, Beckham’s lob against West Ham, Henry’s turnaround volley to name a few ). But nothing made my jaw drop lower than that goal. Thanks for that.

  66. Fred says:

Cedars, Mike Kelly, Balaji – it was a pleasure to watch it again and to post it for others to share. :)

  67. kanchelskis says:

On the topic of screamers… I’d like to alert my fellow RoMers to a real hidden gem:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMs6UCLvc7c

I’ve watched this too many times to be healthy, and I have to pick my jaw up off the floor every time. I’m sure there have been hundreds of technically superior goals scored, but for sheer blockbuster outrageousness, that is out on its own.

    Fucking screamer.

  68. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Fred

Blinder that one right there, just makes you shake your head.

Pure Entertainment Value? Scholes vs Villa

Tingles in the spine? Barca Belter – My legs weaken just thinking of it

    Great debate though!!!!

  69. Fred says:

Zibbie – Do you also like big ifs and maybes?

  70. willierednut says:

Balaji – Watch the keeper after that Scholes goal. He goes to bring the ball out as if, the ball didn’t cross the line lol. Smashing volley by the prince. The goal against Barcelona takes some beating. The importance of the game, gives that the edge for me.

  71. Zibbie says:

The goal against Barca last night was great! 4-1 hehehehe

  72. Zibbie says:

@Fred LOL ! Like my chicken, I like legs and thighs. And big but’s. I just like pussy and pussy likes me. I hate maybe’s, if’s are OK.

  73. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Kanchelskis

Crikey!! Sign him up Fergie! Can he play CM though? ;)

  74. Zibbie says:

    I love this club….BUT
    I’m happy here…BUT
It is not about the $…BUT
I could have been somebody…BUT my brother made me take a dive….
    I could be a world class footballer…BUT I have no talent….
BIG BUT’S… I HATE BIG BUTS COME TO THINK OF IT!!!!! But I love Latina lasses asses…..

  75. willierednut says:

    Zibbie – Sir Lancealot

  76. Fred says:

@Andrei Kan-Kan – That’s a screamer alright. Reminds me of this classic scorcher from Clarence Seedorf in the Madrid derby, 1997: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhYGtp26IRU

Anyway, I’ll get back to Scholes now: LEGEND. 8)

  77. chenkothedevil says:

  82. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – How could you post that link?! It just makes me even more sad than I already am that we’re not going to be seeing him next season. Heartbreaking! Top link though….Paul Scholes…you did indeed….score goals galore!!!

  83. CedarsDevil says:

    ididnotzeeit

    Good one……. lol

    Scholes BULLET away at Middlesbrough

    ridiculous goal

  88. CedarsDevil says:

    Mike

Was bad enough reminiscing about Scholes and now you have to mention Robson!

  89. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@willie, Yeah, lol, what the fuck was he thinking. Didn’t he see the net getting burst open?

In terms of importance, yeah that Barca goal has this one beat trumps. But I just love the nonchalant manner in which Scholesy stands still after he volleys the ball. It is as if it was almost a training ground exercise for him, like he’s thinking “So what?? That’s not difficult for me.” Absolutely brilliant that one. As I said technically, it is more difficult to strike a moving ball than a dropping ball, so Bradford is what he himself would pick, but that goal is just out of this park. I remember at the time thinking, “Yeah all the uncool kids are getting their names heard with Drogba and I think Taylor as well scoring great goals. This would be the time for a Scholesy screamer.” And he delivered.

    All the way to OT

    Fave Paul Scholes moment?

Hows about THAT goal against Barca?

And what a goal it was too…

But Paul Scholes was more than that – and that is what I guess we’ll all miss

    19

  92. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – Sorry mate, opening of old wounds. My Robson scars only healed a few years back. God only knows how long Scholes wounds will last??

  93. CedarsDevil says:

  101. WHAT ??? says:

Jennifer – you’ve got talent love, enjoy the match! (You lucky So and So!)

Hey guys, read this news? Any one heard about this kid? Seems he sent his DVD to Sir Alex and he was offered a trial at united…

  118. mikekelly12 says:

Off topic but you gotta love the Manchester United mentality. A quote from Rooney: “When you are at a club like Manchester United, you pretty much know what the goals are. We want to win the league, the Champions League and both cups. It is pretty simple”

    20!

  119. FletchTHEMAN says:

So what is the work on Kuz. Was he injured? Very strange that there hasn’t been one public statement on him.

  120. willierednut says:

    Fuck Robbie 5 club Keane!

    I want the real Keano!

  121. King Eric says:

Willie. Hello mate. Yeah heard that about the bitters not selling their allocation. Durham was having a field day. Smalltime cunts. The usual fucking manchster is blue line. Funny then how they have twenty thousand there for a game against Juve when tickets were a fiver. Oh yeah manchester is blue alright.
Also mate yeah that goal against Villa park and the keeper is hilarious. He actually thinks he may not have crossed the line and carries on regardless. Also that goal at boro when he smashes it in some fans behind the goal actually put their hands to their faces to protect themselves even though the net is there!

  122. King Eric says:

Balaji. Hello mate. Can’t have been drogba shirts can it as scholes against bradford was about 2000 wasn’t it? Also who is Taylor? The ever modest Paul says he mishit that goal against Barca.

Talking of Barca good to see them get a four one hiding by Hernandez s former team last night.

Costas. Hello mate. When you look at it we have a seriously strong squad. Full of young talent as well. Good times.

  123. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Rooney on Sky

    It’s simple really!

“When you are at a club like Manchester United, you pretty much know what the goals are. We want to win the league, the Champions League and both cups.

“It is pretty simple. Obviously, you fall short sometimes but at Manchester United, you have to keep striving for it.”

  124. Fred says:

King Eric – Balaji was referring to the Villa goal in 06/07. There had already been a few wondergoals that season from the likes of Drogba, Essien and Portsmouth’s Matty Taylor (now at Bolton.)

  125. FletchTHEMAN says:

Ha Mickey got it as well. Good man!!! Sorry for the double post then!

  126. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred

Taking obsession to a new level I see! lol

  127. mikekelly12 says:

Hey Fletch – Great minds eh. Gotta love the United attitude!

  128. willierednut says:

King Eric – Funny as fuck that lol. The bitters keep telling us all, they’re a big club, but can’t sell out their allocation at Wembley? Jokers. Hope we smash the cunts.

  129. CedarsDevil says:

Bitter are a due a thrashing, would be a nice way to kick off our season…

  130. King Eric says:

The Fly. Ah. Cheers mate. Matty Taylor. Wondered who he meant.

Willie. Big difference this time mate is Rooney. We will do them on Sunday. Fergie will ensure that. Three wembley defeats in four months doesn’t bare thinking about. Yeah Durham was winding them up. Cunts. Saying we live in the past one caller and we bang on about trebles and european cups. Yes because we fucking can you bitter bastards. They think we are on a downward spiral. If only they knew. We aint going anywhjere for the next few years. Such an abundance of young talent in every position. Foundations not built in sand. They are quick fix cunts. All about the here and now. Fergie is three years down the line. As you say pal. Jokers.

  131. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, Yup, that is what I precisely had in mind. All those guys had scored goals and I was just wishing for someone from United to bang one in and Scholesy gladly obliged. I guess that is why I would rank it as my favorite goal of all time.

  132. Fred says:

Balaji – click my name for a treat. ;) Cedars has already spotted it.

  133. smartalex says:

Scholes threads a good through-ball. This thread is all gold.

  134. captaink9 says:

Think Keane to be fair burnt his bridges with United the way he left. Legend and one of our greatest midfielders ever.

  135. kanchelskis says:

    @Fred

    Ooooh, you tease!

  136. smartalex says:

A wise man does not burn his bridges until he first knows he can part the waters.

  137. Slim says:

Fred i think it was who posted a youtube link to scholes pass to Rooney in the Millan game. that was simply class. i’ve been in there over an hour now. I gotta say we sure have walloped Arsenal in recent times. They must have and must still be sick of the sight of us. From RVN to park to Giggs,Ronalod. ahh Ronaldo must have been the most painful for em.

  138. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, So, the plot regarding which side you are working on becomes clearer. I think old Cedars would be kicking himself for not recognizing it sooner.

  139. King Eric says:

Fred. Sorry mate. Giving the fly props for explaining. Saw the red writing and thought it was him. Cheers pal.

  140. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@King Eric, Yeah, I should’ve explained it a bit clearer. But I forgot both Taylor’s first name and the team he used to play for when he scored the goal I vaguely recalled in my head. So, I just posted his name and hoped that someone would clarify.

  141. sandeep1878 says:

lets talk about the technique of Scholesy and to do it for so long is incredible..

one of the finest and most loyal footballers of the modern world..

as they say, if he was a Spanish, my scholesy would have been most popular from coast to coast..

this man never played without passion and commitment..

never had a fucking footballing agent and never cribbed about ambition and never liked a loss against pools..

Paul Scholesy epitomizes Manchester United and stop pondering over his replacement my fellow red community coz its a waste of time..

in my view, he is one of the top 3 important player for us in the last 2 decades…

no controversies, not a media darling, practice, play, shower and go home..

Love u Scholesy, hope i would meet u at least once in my life :)

cant see him play anymore, the man who infuenced me the most in our club as a player :(

Love you Ginger Ninja, thanks a lot for the memories…we miss you and ur trademark goals and passes

  142. willierednut says:

Fred – Cedars fell in there ha ha.

  143. captaink9 says:

Evans to Hull half a million. Done

  144. Fred says:

RedManWalking – yes, I heard about Max Lonsdale a couple of weeks ago. Quite a story!

Costas – To be fair, that would be a decent team ten years ago

    Friedel
    Neville, Cannavaro, Campbell, Bridge
    Yorke, Butt, Vieira, Pires
    McBride, Keane

I’m looking forward to the game. :)

  145. King Eric says:

Balaji. Sorry mate for not reading your post correctly!

Cannot get youtube on here so may have been mentioned. I loved his goal against Panathanikos. Twenty nine pass build up or summat daft then a delightful chip. Great goal.

  146. Fred says:

King Eric – no worries mate! :)

  147. willierednut says:

Watching the 4 3 game. Classic!

    4 3 mate. Lol.

  148. Balaji Sivaraman says:

KE, Hey, no worries, cheers mate. Refer to my post at 20:09, even I did not know the specifics of that goal, so I only mentioned it vaguely and Fred cleared it for me.

  149. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Oops, sorry for the double post, but here is the goal King Eric was talking about.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjnQad_ulgQ

This one is in the memory for the absolute beauty of watching United at their best. It is not one for Scholesy’s personal memoirs, but one for the Old Trafford collection.

  150. RedManWalking says:

@Fred Have you ever watched him play? Seems he has already represented United Reserves twice. And nice pic btw ;-) Am changing my facebook disp pic to that after Sneijder signs (which is close, I presume)

On topic, I can’t watch them videos again. Already spent an entire day watching them and depressing myself. Don’t want to put myself through it again. Can’t wait for the testimonial match. Bet Scholesy scores a blinder. Also interested to see King Eric on the touchline :-)

  151. Fred says:

Thanks for the link, Balaji. Controversial opinion here, but I disliked that Times New Roman style shirt printing we had back then. Even more controversial, I dislike the font we use now too.

  152. RedManWalking says:

Ok. I have got myself depressed again. Thanks to @Balaji. Youtube, here I come!

  153. willierednut says:

    What the font??

  154. Fred says:

RedManWalking, I’ve never seen Lonsdale play. If he turns out to be a player then it will be an amazing story.

  155. Fred says:

I should just be glad we don’t use Comic Sans I suppose.

  158. Fred says:

    RedManWalking

  159. RedManWalking says:

@Fred – true mate! But, watching the video he sent to Fergie, I couldn’t make out anything impressive. But then, I don’t manage Manchester United as well.

  160. Costas says:

    @Fred

It’s not a bad team by any means. But it’s Paul’s special day and I just wish that the Cosmos team wasn’t comprised of people like Vieira and Robbie Keane. Can’t stand them. :)

  161. willierednut says:

    Mickey Owen in Fergie time!

    Goose bumps!

  162. CedarsDevil says:

    RedManWalking

  163. CedarsDevil says:

  164. TonyBee says:

There’s one thing I don’t like about Cheryl Cole’s clitoris.

  165. TonyBee says:

  166. RedManWalking says:

@Cedars How are you mate? Been long. That bloke is the next best thing to Paul Scholes. :-)

  167. TonyBee says:

    still funny though…..

  168. RedManWalking says:

@willie – nothing beats “…and Solskjaer has won it!” :-D

  169. Fred says:

Costas, haven’t you heard? The Cosmos were Robbie Keane’s boyhood club. He’s always supported them and dreamed of pulling on ther shirt.

  170. TonyBee says:

A gang of Scouse bin dipping robbers break into a bank late at night and begin trying to open the safes.

they get into the first one, there is no money, only some yoghurt, they tasted it and it was stale and lumpy

So they broke into the next safe only to find even more yoghurt, exept these ones where slightly fresher and tasty

They opened more and more safes but only finding this youghurt, each safe had more tasty and nutricious yoghurt.

“WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?!?” SAID THE GANG LEADER “ARE YOU SURE THIS IS A BANK?”

One of the men goes outside to check, “yep, its definitley a bank”

“well what does the sign say den lah?”

“City of Manchester sperm bank !”

  171. CedarsDevil says:

    Oldie but goody

  173. RedManWalking says:

@Cedars haha! He is an amazing player, mate! You can watch him more after United sign him this season, mate.. :-D

Have been pretty busy with work and also exam prep. Still, took time to come on RoM and skim through the comments though. Keeping myself updated. Btw, whatever happened to sachu? Did he go into a coma because of TSO?

  174. willierednut says:

Cedars – Fucking brilliant mate. Sparky’s reaction was priceless!

  188. Slim says:

Funny listening to Talksport talking about the charity shield is bollox. i was intrigued and listened on wondering where this was coming from. Apparently City hasn’t been able to sell all their tickets for the game on sunday cough cough United sold all of theirs. So called big club ? shitty is shit club end of thats why they can’t sell their tickets, nothing to do with the format of the charity shield .

The charity shield is a friendly match with a twist. Even Rooney is chuffed about starting the season with such a game, those muppets talking bollox cos city can’t sell all their tickets. You couldn’t make it up. It was almost as if the pair we deliberately missing the point.

The compettion has always been played in good spirit. In recent times a way for the top dogs who got the trophy the previous season, in this case one top dog and a sorry excuse for a club. Pride was what was at stake and those mugs single handely ridiculed what is a pillar of the game. Especially in this country where the rivalry between teams is borderline tribalistic. And even worse their our fucking neigbours, they can’t step it up. City is blue my arse

  189. CedarsDevil says:

    RedManWalking

One link at a time buddy

  190. RedManWalking says:

  192. RedManWalking says:

  193. RedManWalking says:

Anyone know any great documentaries on United?

  194. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

Had he have known I think he would have gotten a wax job! lol

  195. Slim says:

    @RedManWalking

    lol. i banking on it.

i have to confess, i was skimming through the post and noticed your name, i burst out laughing cos i thought i read ” Red man Wanking”. good to know you’re just er walking

  196. CedarsDevil says:

    RedManWalking

Brilliant couple of videos, straight to my favorites……

  197. CedarsDevil says:

    RedManWalking

Not a documentary as suck but I have a book that goes through the 12 months of the year highlighting every significant moment in the club’s history and events that took place during each month ever since the club was founded till the day the book was written…. 2009 I believe.

I will get you the full name as its currently loaned out to a friend

  198. RedManWalking says:

    @Slim

Stop giving people ideas, mate! ;-)

But, in all seriousness, you could say I am RedManWanking now – after watching some of those videos posted in here! :-P

  199. Zibbie says:

Wow have a bite to eat, and bam 100 posts.

  200. kev e says:

I’m pretty sure that’s hand drawn. great image even better moment! well done. it definitely needs to be a t-shirt. really cool!

  201. RedManWalking says:

    @Cedars

That would be great mate! Recently saw this documentary, ‘Senna’, on Ayrton Senna. It was amazing and I was wondering if there was anything like that about United/United Legends. I have watched ‘Au Revoir Cantona’ on youtube. That was pretty amazing. You should check it out, if you haven’t seen it. In your case, I guess it would be reliving the memories of The King. For me, it was seeing why he is called The King. It was an amazing experience. Envy all those United supporters who were able to watch him.

  202. CedarsDevil says:

    RedManWalking

We have been blessed with so many greats and that is one of the things that sets us apart from any other football club in the world……

    God I love UNITED

  203. King Eric says:

Slim. Hello mate. Yeah mentioned further up the thread with Willie about talksport and the bitters tickets. To be fair Durham was taking the piss out of them.

  204. kev e says:

the volley from beckhams corner was a fucking amazing moment. unbelievable skill. oh happy days :-) .

  205. Zibbie says:

The caption under the picture reads. “If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right.”

  206. RedManWalking says:

@Cedars I second that, mate! And what greats too! They remind me of the Greek Gods on Mt. Olympus! All in a separate level higher than us all – untouchable, immortal!

  207. willierednut says:

    Not long now lads.

  208. The Fly says:

I remember recording a Scholes thing on Sky few months back. All his goals in order. Some of those strikes, fucking hell.

And I’ve read a few mention Owen’s winner against City. 4-3 mate quality. I’d say that in the years since Ole’s treble winner (when I physically lost all control and run out the pub going MENTAL), the Owen goal is probably in the top 5 moments for pure joy. Viva John Terry and Edwin’s save, Kiko’s winner, Owen winner, Scholes against Barca, Rooney’s goal against Roma in the 7-1 (pure ecstasy). God I love this club.

  209. CedarsDevil says:

Pure joy and unexplained emotions coupled with heartache of huge proportions are just some of the ways this club makes us feel

  210. King Eric says:

The Fly. Yeah would have to agree with those goals. Unfortunately I couldn’t bare to listen to the city fans and was in the concourse at the time Micky scored watching it on the screen. A fantastic moment. Rooneys header against City in league cup in last minute was pretty special as well. As was Hernandez z against Everton. There have been dozens of great moments following this club. Ronnies at Fulham is another moment I loved. I could go on all night but won’t.

  211. RedManWalking says:

    http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3277/la-liga/2011/08/04/2604889/manchester-united-chelsea-would-not-be-able-to-beat

The twat is in La La Land if he believes this crap! Valencia would be contenders for the league, according to him, if they played in the EPL.

  212. The Fly says:

Ronaldo at Fulham. What a goal. What a player.

O’Shea at the Kop End last minute.

Rooney overhead kick (purely for not believing what I’d just seen)

Ronaldo’s header to make it 3-2 home to Spurs. The first game I took my son to so it holds a special place in my memory.

Van Nistelrooy solo goal at Highbury in that quality blue shirt. The pub was split 50/50 with the two sets of fans, very hostile I can tell you.

So many. I really could go on.

  213. King Eric says:

Got to laugh at the dippers. Just watching lfc tv and there are three fans all in saying that Henderson is the best young british talent in years. Are these clowns actually serious? He is fucking shite. Cleverley will and already is twice the player. What world do they live in? Top six finish at best. Their squad is fucking abysmal it really is.

  214. The Fly says:

Can’t believe I forgot this but the comeback at Goodison that effectively won us the league. Rooney’s composure to put is into the lead and then smug as fuck taunting the Everton fans.

  215. CedarsDevil says:

    The Fly

How about that chip and celebration by JOS at Highbury eh…

    King Eric

Read today that Henderson was telling dipper fans not to compare him to Stevie Me just yet,,,,,,,

  216. King Eric says:

The Fly. Oh yeah. Ronnies header in the five two. Shirt off and pumped to fuck. What a day that was. Two down at half time. Even to this day the cunts in the media go on about Carricks penalty.
    Berbatov against dippers.
Oles in Fa Cup against dippers.
Struggling at end of season at home to blackburn nil nil in 07 needing the win. Scholes beats about four men in penalty box and slots home to open the floodgates.

The man again last minute header away at the united stadium season before last.

    Literally hundreds.

  217. CedarsDevil says:

How about the 2 injury time goals by Bruce against Wednesday that basically won us our first title after 26 years………. The come back against Wednesday as well on Boxing day, having trailed 3 nil at half time only to come back and draw 3 all.

Bloody hell so many fucking magical moments

  218. willierednut says:

King Eric – Stop watching that bloody channel! :)

  219. smartalex says:

Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott will almost certainly miss the England friendly against Holland next Wednesday, but Phil Jones, the Manchester United defender, is a surprise inclusion in the provisional 30-man squad.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/8682792/Phil-Jones-given-England-call-up-for-Holland-date-but-Jack-Wilshere-and-Theo-Walcott-unlikely-to-play-at-Wembley.html

  220. The Fly says:

Liverpool fans amaze me. Talking to one of my (very few) scouse mates the other day. In brief it was something like this.

Dippers fan: “you can tell Fergie is worried about us”.

Me: “How so, we’ve got the same first team apart from the keeper that won the league by 9 points. We’ve added quality to the team and squad. We all know that Sneijder is coming too. And it’s a fact that Rooney will be out of this world this year.”

Dippers fan: “I will admit you have made good signings and if you get Sneijder he is undeniably class. But Fergie would definitely rather have bought the British talent we’ve signed.”

Me: “Would he fuck. Charlie Adam will certainly not cut it at a bigger team. Henderson is possibly the worst signing this summer by anyone. Downing was bought purely to try and get Carroll to do something worthwhile. Anyway we’ve now got Young who’s been England’s best player in 2011 and Jones who many tip to be future captain of England. I’m pretty sure we’ve done the better business.”

Dippers fan: “But with no Europe we can concentrate solely on the league. Plenty of rest and we can utilise our strength in depth.”

From then on I just explained why they won’t win anything. Then we parted ways. He’s actually a decent mate and a top lad, but still suffers from the delusion cast upon them all.

  221. smartalex says:

Costas, Hello mate. Great news about Fletcher! Let’s hope he’s on the way to be being better than ever.

  222. King Eric says:

Willie. Bored mate. I watch it for a laugh. It is priceless. Now talking about kenny AND his team having that winning mentality. Are they taking the piss? They aint won a league title in twenty one years. Saying they are so strong in every position. From where I am sitting they need two decent fullbacks. Centre half. Right winger and another two strikers. Plus the bench. Everyone is talking how they could do it this year. No chance. In my opinion they are further away. Suarez is the only decent player and he is a horrible cunt. They haven’t got a torres in his pomp. An alonso. A mascherano. An inform and at his peak stevie me. Or carragher. They truly are fucking awful. I know like me Willie you are gutted we didn’t get the “teletubby“.

Cedars. Evening mate. How are you? How could I forget Brucies. After the disappointment of the previous year and scum Leeds it was a fantastic moment. Crossed whipped in by his centre back pally wasn’t it? Martin Tylers commentary when he realises he needs to not seem so happy for United. “YES…….. yes for Manchester United“!

  223. The Fly says:

Well if we’re talking about the Bruce winner. Generally the late 80′s and early 90′s were great for late winners. Sparky, Cantona, Keano… Those years were some of the best of my life.

  224. Fred says:

Welcome back, Fletch! Put that chequebook away, Mr. Gill! ;)

  225. CedarsDevil says:

King Eric – I am great thank buddy

It was Pally who made the cross my friend…..I will never forget the highs and lows of that game. When Wednesday scored from the spot after a foul by Ince I said to myself of fuck not again, not another season…. Then there was that freak injury to the ref and 6 added minutes, step up Brucie…. I guess it also started an era of famous late and injury time winners…

    Fucking love this club

  226. ididnotzeeit says:

    Chicharito vs Everton 2011 anyone?

Ronaldo vs Fulham springs to my mind too Played like a fucking dog’s breakfast all day at Craven Cottage only to see Ronaldo gather the ball at about 35 yards from our goal (off a parried set piece if I’m not mistaken) gallop down the left flank like the Gazelle he was, cut in on his right and squib home a terrific winner near post late in what should’ve very well been a 2 goal loss. Pivotal goal in the 2008 season if memory serves me correctly.

    Top thread lads

  227. willierednut says:

King Eric – Deluded cunts mate. John Henry said, they’re aiming for top 4. Even tipped us to win the league lol. Don’t know how that went down in scouse land. Thank fuck Fergie never signed that fat cunt Adam. I’d have Gibbo over that teletubby sack of shit every day of the week!

  228. King Eric says:

The Fly they are hilarious. They still think they are Kings of English football. They will get top six if lucky. They actually talk and behave like King Ken is gonna deliver them the title as he is such a genius and astuate purchaser of players. He is a bottle job and as soon as things start going wrong he will jump ship. He cannot live with Fergie.

Costas. Hello mate. Great news. A fully fit Fletcher will make all the difference. Some forget just how good he was couple of seasons back. He bossed every big game.

Smartlalex. Evening fella. That is good news. Or bad depending how you look at it. Happy for Phil as he will be happy. Looks a top young player. Pacy. Strong in the tackle. Good in the air despite him getting outjumped on the tour. Reads the game well and likes to bring the ball out. I really like this lad. Will be a huge player for United over the next lot of years.

  229. MG says:

I just want to know before I go…

Which teletubby would Adams be and why?

  230. The Fly says:

this has turned into a top thread

obviously Keane at Maine Road. I was there. Special night that was.

Scmeichel save and then Giggsy’s fantastic goal against Arsenal, F.A Cup semi at Villa Park. That whole treble year was just perfect. The season finished with Ole’s goal.

I remember when Blackburn were our big title rivals. Maybe 93/94 or 94/95. Home to Blackburn and Giggs put in a perfect cross to the back post which Cantona managed to reach and head into the top corner. The camera angle and the commentary for it was spot on. I’ll see if I can find a clip and I’ll post it.

  231. willierednut says:

Cantona at Sheff United in the cup. Delightful chip.

    Cole’s overhead kick at Middlesboro.

Keano’s against dirty Leeds at OT.

They had an outfield player in nets, if I remember rightly?

    All great goals.

  232. willierednut says:

Becks chip at OT against Sunderland. First goal, to make it 1 1.

Scholes got the winner in injury time. Trademark late into the box header!

  233. King Eric says:

Ididnotzeeit. I mentioned Hernandez against Everton a few posts back mate. Was tense as fuck that day till he scored. Nearly scored with a header a few minutes before.

  234. The Fly says:

good shout willierednut on the sunderland game. i remember that.

this is a short montage of cantona and at 00:32 is the blackburn header i mentioned. unfortunately no commentary on it but you’ll all remember it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u18GSMaMUs0

  235. Costas says:

    @smartalex, willie

Hey guys. Yeah, lets hope Fletch gets back to his 09-10 form. It won’t happen straight away, but he will want to prove a point after missing out another Ch.League final.

  236. King Eric says:

Keano at Maine road in three two. Good call Fly.

    “Teletubby sack of shit“. Quality.

Cedars. Yeah John Sheridan United fan who took penalty.

Ididnotzeeit. Ronnie at Craven Cottage was 07 season.

  237. The Fly says:

the arsenal semi-final at villa park. one of the best football matches of all time. had everything.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yl-axF4M3TY&feature=related

  238. FletchTHEMAN says:

The Fly, Also the best Giggs goal for me. But not my fave game in the end. Overmarrs ruined it for me with his antics that got keene sent off. Hate playing Arsenal as much as Barca because of the diving and gamesmanship. Still fair play that it was a game among games.

  239. The Fly says:

Ronaldo’s counter attacking goal at the Emirates to cement our place in the final. The ridiculous dismissal of Fletch ruins that match slightly for me, but the goal itself is magic. Rooney and Ronaldo, don’t get better than that.

  240. The Fly says:

    Roma 7-1

    Giggs away at Juventus 02/03

Well this has been a great thread for the past few hours. So many memories and great moments. What a club. Scholes testimonial tomorrow can’t wait. Then roll on Sunday. Doesn’t get better than this.

  241. NBI Red Onion says:

Looking fwd to Sholes testimonial, I do wish Keano had had the same kind of exit…

  242. RedManWalking says:

What about Rooney’s volley against newcastle? I remember he was pretty pissed coz he was reprimanded by the ref…and then he does this!

  243. willierednut says:

RVN against Charlton at OT. His hat trick goal. Sublime half volley.
