Tonight, they were named Premier Reserve League National champions after beating Aston Villa in the play-off final. After the game finished 0-0, United won 3-1 on penalties, largely thanks to three great stops from our goalie. Joshua King, Jesse Lingard and Will Keane all scored their penalties.

Watched the game and so pleased for the Reserves,
for Johnstone who was immense
and for Davide Petrucci who captained the side
Very cagey affair with 2 very talented teams who had each won their leagues with free flowing footie.
All came down to pens in the end and Sam stepped up with an incredible performance.
Many of these lads have now won 3 titles:
8 one the Youth Cup last year.
They clinched the Northern reserve league a couple weeks ago.
Today they clinched a double for 2012 by bringing home the National Reserve Cup.
Next weekend they head to the Emptiad to take on the bitters for the Manchester Senior Cup!
