David de Gea was left out of the matchday squad for United’s 1-0 win over Spurs today after Louis van Gaal revealed he didn’t believe the goalkeeper wasn’t in the right frame of mind, following the intense speculation over a move to Real Madrid.
However, after the game, the manager revealed that De Gea’s future away from the club hasn’t been confirmed yet, suggesting that from September 1st, when the transfer window has closed, the Spaniard can return.
De Gea watched the game from the stands with out of favour Victor Valdes and injured Anders Lindegaard.
