PICTURES: Ferguson Snubs Beckham

David Beckham flew to London with AC Milan team mate, and former Arsenal midfielder, Flamini, to watch the Champions League semi-final at the Emirates.

As the third goal went in, cameras showed Beckham’s celebration, made up to see his boyhood team reach the final.

This wasn’t the first time he has been to watch United this season though, with him meeting up with the team ahead of our 0-0 draw against Inter Milan.

However, as Beckham waited to have a word with Sir Alex Ferguson after the game, our manager was deep in conversation with Fabio Capello. Then he was off!

Ferguson walked past Beckham, awkwardly tapping him on the shoulder, but didn’t appear to say anything to him.

That car crash story that did the rounds yesterday turned out to be true, a few nasty injuries and all. Becks getting snubbed was priceless!!

  3. aaron says:

wow really? surely Sir can’t still hold a grudge? I tot he’d mellowed down with with age but i guess some feelings still linger.

On the other hand, i bet becks still wished he was playing in midfield for us. thats 2 CL finals in a row now, he must b green with envy looking at scholesy and giggsy. so sorry becks its too bad we’ve got the best player in the world to replace you

  4. keanesmagichat says:

    haha

ever cynical as always.. sir alex spoke to him i saw it on tv last nite..
i could even read the gaffers lips, he said..”some game eh?” becks replied and then the gaffer was on his way..
ya i was correct about the car crash.. fingers crossed its not too serious

  5. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    it was very very funny

scott i think you should start a second web page just for the champions league final in 3 weeks

call it The Republik of Mancunia Extra

it can be the r.o.m.e. blog

  6. haha says:

The best lip reading last night came after Ronnies free kick when Fergie was running around with his hands in the air repeating “fucking hell, fucking hell” over and over again.

  7. Sabien24 says:

I saw the full clip as Becks waited patiently while SAF chatted for ages with Capello, then briefly shook Becks hand and dashed off the look of complete suprise was evident on Becks face as he watched SAF dashed away from him, Becks is a long time Man U fan as well as former player who clearly enjoyed watching us smash the gunners, SAF should have been more gratious with Becks he’s taking this bitter feeling towards Becks a bit too far now, time to move on SAF. Stop these insane grudges.

    Thats a fantastic ide GHTT!

  9. Macheda is GOD says:

    *Idea
    mistype ^.^

  10. Jake says:

he did speak to beckham but it was noticeably brief and Beckham’s reaction to Fergie’s sudden departure speaks volumes..He’s probably sick of Beckham turning up at training sessions and harping on about United in the media…or possibly saying Ronaldo would succeed at Madrid last summer….

  11. haha says:

The main photo in that Fletch interview is hilarious.

  12. keanesmagichat says:

    haha

i know he looks like liam gallagher,
    class interview though

  13. united_ron says:

yea fergie sed sum words to becks but seeing the warm way he greeted cappello must have been a slap in the face! its a shame cos he was such a gud player 4 us, but fergie can hold a grudge!

  14. keanesmagichat says:

lads if ye go on the united website click the tv in the right corner, then click on freeview there is loads of class free mutv videos to watch.. there is on we made the scousers cry that is particurlarly funny!

  15. haha says:

I can’t watch the videos till I get out of work.

  16. lilgallis says:

I saw this on skysports earlier and I felt sorry for becks. He waited for SAF who was talking to Capello. Finally when he was donw with capello he gave beckham a brief handsshake and carried on with his business. Beckhams reaction was funny, cos he looked like an idiot to be honest. He literally was like “huh, he never showed me love” loool

  17. arsene wenger says:

what a terrible night, i cant believe a kenyan gooner hung himself in his arsenal shirt, united took it too far man,why they always pick on us little guys?

  18. Ronaldospluckedeyebrow says:

SFA should wise up,nearly 70 and still holding a grudge.Beckham was magic for us and still clearly loves us.Check his medal collection for proof. He was intregal in us dominating throughout the 90′s and probably would have still been playing alongside Scoles and Giggsy if he’d had his way.Red Legend in my eyes

  19. Xyth says:

Alex hugged Beck last night, and thats a fact.

Becks was also inside our dressing room so could have seen him there as well.

  20. bossdem says:

yeah fergie said a few words to beckham. tho that was it. it was very clear that he didnt have time to be dealing with the arse licking londoner.
theres nothing wrong with bearing grudges. in my opinion its rude to pretend to like someone who you dont!
lets be honest, there will have been plenty of things going on in and around the club that we dont know about. im sure if beckham was such a great pro for us (ronaldospluckedeyebrow) he still be here now with an ever increasing medal collection. maybe you should wise up?

  21. Ronaldospluckedeyebrow says:

Bossdem fair point but Fergie’s grudge bearing is well documented.A man of his stature should be setting an example.Capello has done fuck all for UTD bit of mutual arselicking there. Nobody knows what goes on behind the scenes and his stupid wife didn’t help matters.P.s i wised up a long time ago

  22. RedMist says:

Feel sorry for Becks. After seeing him rubbing his hands with glee after we banged in the third i was well chuffed. Becks is a top lad who still has United in his heart, that much is clear. Fergie should have been a little more gracious and returned Becks’ warmth. Enough time has passed for him to put it behind him now. Come on Fergie, sort it out Sir.

  23. Drabik says:

Read what Xyth said…. Becks was in the dressing room, so he had probably had a good convo with SAF already.

  24. RedAlert260599 says:

WHAT A LOAD OF FKN TITLE-TATTLE!
The man’s grandkids are seriously ill in hospital and you lot are concerned over whether he talks with Beckham? Do you think he might have something else on his mind? Get a life!

  25. Malteser says:

Becks had already spoken to SAF in the dressing room. Why try and start a storm in a teacup.

  26. costas says:

Yes i don’t think that socializing with Beckham would have been his top priority but i am sure he spoke to Becks at the back.I am sure Becks made a visit to the dressing room after the game.

  27. 9jmac says:

If some of you had WATCHED THE EXTENDED video, youd see that Beckham was clearly angry and upset about Sir Alex’s snub.

  28. Jack says:

Legend. I think most people know Fergie & Becks get on now. Just look at the pictures of them 2 in Italy.

  29. NickOGS20 says:

Christ, this is embarrassing. Basically rehashing a Daily Mail story that was a joke to start with, seriously poor.

  30. Ishaq says:

Yes Sir Alex. Snub the fucking prima donna. He got too big for his boots. He shouldnt think that Sir would forgive him over time. He should run along and go do some underwear modelling or go and spend time with Vickie

  31. sean_m11 says:

Like Malteser said, Becks ended up in the United dressing room after the game, theres a picture in the paper of him, Neville and Giggsy sharing a joke (probably about how fuckin devestated beglin and tyldesley were in itv commentary, pair of fuckers)

  32. lofty7 says:

    wrong scott. wrong.
we get enough shit from abu media and fans alike. for fucks sake don’t feed them anymore!
there was an hug of sorts and a few words-as many words as with capello. its been on sky tv today. get off the lads back. he’s red through and through. the shots of him gleefully rubbing his hands were pricesless. he’s not up to the task so much these days but i’d love for him to see out his days at o.t. a la larsson maybe.

  33. Harsh says:

Wow has this blog turned into The Sun?! providing a few pics to build a false story, look at the pic with beckham in the dressing room chatting with giggs and neville.

  34. suhayl says:

Fergie could have been more gracious amore warm to our biggest fan becks.

HOWEVER he didnt ignore him..he said hi….hugged him said u ok…i’ll see you in there.

Ok it wasnt capello style greeting but it wa cordial…and he went into the dressing room later to talk to his pals.

SAF can be a stubborn man we all know…however lets not sensationalise something from nothing

  35. anderson8 says:

I think this is a nothing story really, the two of them seemed close enough when we were in Milan. I’m sure they spoke in the dressing room. Put it this way if SAF really didn’t want him around that much,he wouldn’t have been in our dressing room. The boss obviously and understandably had other things on his mind.

Becks is a true red,and he’s never hidden that fact. Much rather see Becks at a game supporting us than listen to Keano’s ‘I have no interest in United’ waffle

  36. Adam says:

Scotty, thought you were btter than this.

Fergie did not snub Becks, they shared a chat. Fergie even invited Beckham to watch training and meet with him and the players in Milan, so why would he snub him?

  37. ilivmufc says:

this is all rubbish, and this recent link will show you the truth. They both have mutual respect for each other!

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/manutd/4797014/David-Beckham-meets-Sir-Alex-Ferguson-as-Manchester-United-train-at-San-Siro.html

  38. Gman says:

thanks keanesmagichat, great interview with Fletcher top bloke!!

  39. kapti14 says:

hey guys does anyone know what colour of shirt and shorts will we be wearing in the final? we cant wear white and blue shorts coz barca have blue shorts.

  40. Ruth Olafsson says:

Alex Fergusons’ attitude to Beckham is absolutely childish!!!

  41. doncobaino says:

before the last picture, ferguson gives beckham a brief hug- which is hardly a snub in my opinion….
