Looks like he’s fitting right in hopefully he’ll show us how well there all bonding by scoring goals on the pitch :)

  2. Radio Deadon says:

Yeah he’s laughing at all that money he’s gonna take of Rooney when they’re playing cards. Rooney ended up owing the little cunt about £150,000 from one session whilst on England duty – mind you that’s fucking peanuts to those fuckers.

  3. Jim Carrey says:

Finally the new season is starting. Pre-season next week.

  4. Gudjohnsen says:

It will probably take a while to get used to this sight, lol.

But I’m sure he’ll fit well in, he knows most of the English lads from the national team already. My only real concern is that Gary Neville will poison him…

  5. Radio Deadon says:

Gudjohnsen, I know what you mean but I don’t think I’ll ever get used to him in our shirt even if he wins the Golden Boot as top scorer next season. I don’t have a problem with him playing for us, it’s just so fucking strange looking at him in a Utd shirt.

  6. JLC21 says:

God, I’m just thrilled to see the lads back in training and kicking the ball. Whets the appetite for some real matches.

  7. swissred says:

let’s hope he doesn’t get injured in training ;-) nah seriously: i think he’ll strengthen our team and that’s what matters. his scouse past is gone and a few years ago aswell…

  8. Anon says:

black and red looks cool as far as the training gear is concerned. can’t wait for the real thing to start

  9. gazmask says:

    top picture caption…
-Giggs- “micky, whats the only ship never to have arrived at liverpool?”

-Owen- “Dunno oh mighty giggsy, whats the only ship never to have arrived at liverpool”

    -Giggs- “the premiership!”

-Owen- “hahahahahahahahahahaha, i love you ryan”

  10. urval87 says:

Though I am encouraged by the fact that we really set for preseason, it will feel really wierd to watch OWEN play in a United shirt.
Lets hope he lives up to it bcoz that guy is a freaking goal machine.

  11. keano99 says:

    Great stuff Gazmask.

  12. Micky says:

    Where’s Valencia?

  13. Smudger says:

Daily Mail carrying an insane article saying we ll swap berba for aguero!! Gotta be some kind of joke!!

  14. gazmask says:

the little cunt is gona be ace i reckon!

  15. kidmeister says:

Saying £17 million and Berba for Aguero!I’d say go for it!Then go all out for Sanchez to replace Ronny and Costa to add some flair in midfield.

  16. Tony Starks says:

Smudger – Sounds like my kinda joke!

  17. doncobaino says:

Lets hope he stays injury free!

lets hope united make some more signings!

its all about the hope today lads…

  18. Smudger says:

@ kidmeister.. Aguero is an Argie!! Haven’t we had enough of dem already???
Plus i don’t think SAF would sell Berba in the 1st place!!

  19. Devilton says:

We seriously need to stop buying attackers and get a decent defensive midfielder. We have enough attackers now and need someone to cover for permacrock Hargreaves. Carrick and Fletcher are good players, but last year against Barca proved that Carrick is well shy of being world class and neither Scholes or Giggs will play more then 30 games this year. We seriously need a battling midfielder who can shackle the top class players and break up the play.

De Rossi or Yaya Toure springs to mind…

  20. Smudger says:

    @ Devilton
I fully agree with u.. Isn’t De Rossi linked to the mafia?? That would make things difficult.. And Toure is a nice option but i think he has accepted a new contract from Barca!!

  21. Jim Carrey says:

Why would we get rid of Berba. The answer is, there is no reason. The guy is as good as it gets. Rooney and Berba tearing the league apart, add to that Micky Owen scoring for fun.

I like it, I like it a lot.

  22. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

I love how everyone knows what united need and can’t understand why they don’t get a midfielder do they not know they need a midfielder. Here’s hoping the glaizers read this site cause when the dark day comes when sir Alex retires at least they know they can easily replace him because so many people know more than the manager now. Micheal Owen is a red so get behind h. @ Scott have you any photos of Valencia. Who’s my pick for number 7

  23. Smudger says:

@ GHTT.. People are just expressing their views here.. There is nothing wrong in it.. is there??? No one is questioning the manager here mate!!

  24. MNJEJA says:

    Bravoo!!!! Devilton

  25. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Smigger? Is expressing my view not what I just did.

  26. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Soery about the spellin of your name my phone is in spanish and I can’t fix it

  27. United4eva says:

    @GHTT

I know what you mean mate. I was watching the Thursday phone in on MUTV yesterday and at times I wanted to Cantona the TV with a kung fu kick. All these people asking where the goals will come from? It reminds me of summer 2006 when Ruud left and people were MOANING about our only signing being Carrick. All these people saying we need big name players to replace Ronnie…makes me wonder how many of them knew CR9 in 2003? After proving people wrong over and over again people still have no faith in Fergie. Its ridiculous!

Onto Owen. Loving the pictures. I’ve really warmed to this signing. Not only cos I think with the possession we have and the chances we create that usually go begging in the box cos nobody’s in there will now all fall onto his feet. But also because the Scouse have been in hysterics since he joined us! I have to say for the first week after Owen signed every time I thought of it I laughed my ass off. I wonder what their reactions will be to the pictures of their former golden boy smiling and larking about with Giggsy at Carrington! :D

  28. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

And I stand by my view . It’s bollix if they get another player they get one if they don’t they don’t.

  29. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

United4eva first off great name second some of the callers on mutv are amazing. United should of went for jones off Sunderland was a caller yesterday

  30. Jig says:

I don’t know what it is, but I have a really good feeling about Owen at Utd. For some reason I’ve always thought he’d end up with us.

Weird really . . . back to the crystal ball . . . Is that Messi’s Barcelona stuffing Real at the Camp Nou in November? Ohh it’s clouding over . . .

  31. Smudger says:

    @ GHTT
well what i meant was,we are a bit short in the department of CDMs..Nobody is questioning the signings SAF’s making.. Atleast i am not..

  32. sir_ryangiggs says:

wtf is that black cloth he’s wearing around his shoulders

  33. Trevor says:

    Lads,

The longer i think about it the more i see this as a master stroke by fegie!

He needs someone who he can put on the bench as an option! He now has that with owen, and it didnt cost him anything! Remember its a squad game!

Lets talk about owen, He has been unlucky a little with Injuries the past couple of years! So injuries aside! He doesnt have the pace he once had, which frightened defenders

Owens Main game is converting chances and finding space in the box!

What united have lacked in years since Van Nistleroy was someone who could week in week out convert chances!

In my opinion i would say from watching Tevez, Rooney & Berbatov in certain Situations infront of goal i would honestly put money on Owen converting more… Rooney is great but not what i would call clinical, Berbatov has fluffed quite a few & Tevez well it was a joy to see him get one on target at times!

Keep owen Fit… Get him on the Pitch, Give him chances & he will give goals!

If we can win the Premiership this year wouldnt it be nice to see Gerrards Face and all them Scousers seeing Owen with a Premiership Medal!!! Ha fucking ha!

  34. Gudjohnsen says:

Few of my scouse friends laugh at us for signing Owen…but deep inside they’re scared…scared shitless that he’ll do well for us. They know his ability, nobody doubts that…the question is, can he stay fit. But one of my closest mate, who is a scouser, thinks Liverpool should have signed him as backup for Torres.

Can’t wait for the pre-season to start and see him in action. Oh how sweet it would be to see him score in front of the kop…

  35. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

But what if they don’t sign a midfielder what if the don’t sign one then in January should we just give up cross our fingers nd hope we get at least forth place so we don’t loose out champions league money. The team now could easily be the team united will have in september first

  36. chenkothedevil says:

Scot, do you think united fans will have love for a liverpool legend? Who think only Utd will resurrect his pride which have gone down the drain. bet let trust in Fergie.

  37. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Cmf carrick and Fletcher Anderson on the bench and switch the 3 around in pairs of 2 hargreaves will be back to back up the back up more winged than you could need 3 strikers 2 youth strikers ready for the big time new signing yesterday who’s a midfielder / striker / winger. What’s the worry

  38. Trevor says:

    @chenkothedevil

All i care about is how well all our players do in a united Shirt.

The Jury is out over owen, as well as Berbatov, Valencia, Anderson, Nani. If they dont perform we wont like em!

If they perform we will love em!

    Simple as that!

  39. chenkothedevil says:

Just thinking about the final in mardrid b/w United and Real 75 min ronaldo hand over the ball to Michael who will cooly slot in for the winner. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
    Wonderful.

  40. jcolas says:

Wow owen looks SO happy to be a utd player. I haven’t seen pictures of someone looking so happy at training since kiko after the aston villa game. He’s has the experience that many utd players will never have, being on the field at the final whistle and getting relegated. Hopefully he’ll use that to score tons of goals!

  41. Trevor says:

    @ chenkothedevil

You will get some odds on Carrick Scoring. He doesnt score many, thats for sure.

I think its one part of his game he could improve, Id like to see him put his foot through the ball more, He always seems to place it and go wide!

Id rather see him blast the ball straight at the keeper everytime, have more chance of it swerving either side of the keeper not holding it and a striker score!

  42. Trevor says:

    @jcolas

    Owen Happy???

    Wouldnt you! Let me see

Your thinking on Joining Hull City or Stoke..After Spending Time at Newcastle. Fighting for every chance! Being Expected to Cross the ball into the Box and run in the box to get a head on it and score!

    Wouldnt you be happy????

  43. chenkothedevil says:

    Travor
I love United. and you know what has been transpiring b/w United and liverpool. The only way to forgive Owen is scoring against Liverpool and win the Champions League

  44. Trevor says:

    @chenkothedevil

Have to appologise as i read your original post as Carrick!…

So let me get this straight, You will only forgive own if he Scores in the Champions League.

Question 1.. What do we need to forgive owen for?
QUestion 2.. If owen scores 50 Goals Next season and Sets up 4 Goals and gets man of the Match in the Champions League Against Real Madrid and we Win the Champions League. In addition to this for our last goal takes the ball off Ronaldo Proceeds to Nutmeg him, Leaves Ronaldo on his arse runs the lenght of the pitch and leaves it on a plate for Rooney to score, Rooneys of Celebrating and Ronaldo is in his Mummies Arms sucking his Dumby! You would still not forgive him???

  45. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    Sir Ryan giggs
I’m gonna say they are weights around his arms

  46. Jim Carrey says:

    @Trevor

Could you imagine that happening. Stuff that dreams are made of.

“Ronaldo in his mummies arms sucking on his dummy”. Classic line right there.

Michael Owen has plenty of reasons to be happy. Where’s Wazza and Valencia.

  47. warwick says:

Saw the headline and thought, “Fantastic news!! Hargreaves back in training!” Then saw the picture, wrong Owen!

  48. hakis p says:

    i love owen

  49. Fze123 says:

    @ warwick

yeah, same thing happened with me! i felt so happy for like a nano second. but it’s still nice to see him training with the players. wonder if valencia was training with them. owen he seems pleased, can’t wait for pre-season to see him in action.

  50. Tufty says:

Nevilles been winding up Owen all day at training, offering to take him to the museum to have his pic taken with the premier League trophy and asking the younger lads to bring his medals in to show Owen!

  51. Drabik says:

Nobody has mentioned that Owen is wearing the number 15 shirt in those pics. His new number maybe?

  52. Trevor says:

think its just a training top

  53. Drabik says:

O yea, unless giggs is changing to 58? Possible?

  54. urval87 says:

Valencia is coming to training a few days late bcoz he had broken his vacation to come and finalise the transfer. And these are just training numbers. Till last season CR7 wore 10 in training. And Owen daring to take Vida’s shirt???

He doesn’t want to get MURDERED

  55. Welsh_United says:

Thank god Giggs has no 58 on.

Otherwise the press would take Owen with no 15 on as a sign that Vidic is gonna be sold.

  56. chenkothedevil says:

    Trevor
    I’ld definately forgive him.

  57. 11reds says:

Whoever commented that Premier’ship’ at Liverpool Joke got me to start a “caption this!” on 11Reds. http://11reds.com/just-for-fun/caption-please/ Please add your comments in the weirdest United Pic and a pic with anomaly about 18 Titles!

  58. chenkothedevil says:

infact let them say what they want to. Vidic has said it all .Owen wearing 15 doesn’t mean anything is just training. Giggs is 58 and Carrick is either 37 or 87.

  59. King Eric says:

United4Eva – Don’t get me started on last nights phone in on MUTV! Did you hear that prick from Kent or somewhere saying “the purchases so far smack of desperation”. Fuck off and support Rentboys or Spurs then pal. Macari tried to put him right but even he annoyed me last night. “It is a big gamble”. Why it was free . We NEVER go and buy star players so why would Sir Alex start now? As for swapping Berba with Aguero. Get fucked no chance. Berba has a lot more class than the bloated coke heads son in law. No more fucking Argies!

Aside from the dippers and up until Barca our midfield was excellent last season.

  60. King Eric says:

Went off on a tangent then. Great to see Owen settled in with the lads! I cannot wait for pre season to start.

  61. Mic says:

What’s he doing on the training pitch? I thought Owen was a doctor or something, I never saw him on the pitch at Newcastle and they talked about him always spending time in the treatment room, this is news for me!!

In all seriousness, it’s good to see him train and there doesn’t seem to be a hobble in that picture, it’s nice to see him rub shoulders with Vidics shinpads.

  62. United4eva says:

    @GHTT and King Eric

I tell you I dont know why some of these ‘fans’ waste their money calling in to say how rubbish Man Utd are. Its completely baffling. I subscribe to MUTV to hear good stuff about the club then you get people, supposedly on our own side, saying Fergie’s lost it.

People really have short memories…but hey this happens every season doesnt it? I remember people saying Dwight Yorke was an overpriced Villa player, that Roy Keane would never replace Paul Ince, that people at Old Trafford would never sing oooh aaah Cantona!

The list goes on and on. Fergie is a specialist in proving people wrong and thats why in 2009/10 United will not only be better but MUCH better than last year.

  63. 11reds says:

huntelaar to stuttgart (pending his approval)

  65. RedHarry4Life says:

Someone mentioned that we need a CM cause Fletcher, Anderson, Scholes and Carrick aren’t quite good enough. Just like to point out we won the EPL, The LC, The WCC, should have been in the FA cup final apart from a shite bottle out by Mike”Man United Fan” Reilly, and got to the CL final. Not bad for a shit midfield.

Saying that I have come to the conclusion that Carrick is shite against Xavi and Inesta. He was poor against them for England and In teh CL final.

  66. BlackbeltMage says:

    Berbatov > Aguero

Aguero’s a kid with potential. Granted, great potential, and I’d love to see him in red, but not at the cost of the footballing genius of Berbatov.

He reads the game well, not to the level of Scholes or Iniesta, but well enough to make some spectcular moves.

We should sign Yaya Toure. Failing that, De Rossi. I know someone mentioned those same two names. The former would strengthen the midfield defensively, but the latter would be the better buy – except, last I checked, he played for our good friends Roma.

Mm, 10th of April, 2007. Good times.

Horrible home kit though. Ugliest colour of red I’ve ever seen – provided you don’t look in the direction of Merseyside.

  67. SteRDLK says:

I think Owen will prove all his critics wrong

I would have loved Aguero at United, but then we signed Owen. He will score more than Carlos did last season, and Berba will score more as well now that Ronaldo and Carlos have gone, and Valencia crosses more than Ronnie.

Why do people think we need a new CM and a new striker, new goalie etc

We have Edwin VDS and Foster, we have Fletcher, Carrick, Hargreaves, Anderson, Giggs, Scholes and Gibson. We have Rooney, Berbatov, Owen, Welbeck and Macheda. We already have enough as it is, we dont need even more.

  68. Mark says:

Owen still hasn’t wiped the grin off his face.

  69. wdkf says:

great to see to see those pictures. all dandy.

  70. vishnu1729 says:

united on pursuit for aguero…mirror news…..30m+nani
    or 20m+berba……wht do u thnk…..
i wil go for 30 m+ nani…bcoz they are both same age and we got oberton

  71. Bob Koh says:

To me Owen’s signing is also about the FSW who ejects him and ManU & SAF who signed him. It is going to get explosive when ManU visits Anfield.
For this season, my only wish is the title again (19th!) and the double over the scu..err..scousers of the Red variety. When the camera pans in on Benitez’s sickening look as Owen scores, I’ll save the pic as my Desktop.

  72. ancha says:

    @Bob Koh..

please dont use ManU…again…when you are refering to club..
    its “ManUtd”

  73. ancha says:

nice to see the lads back in training….
    @Tufty
    that was funny!!

  74. AIG Alex is GOD says:

    Goodmorning everyone.

i think owen will settle very well bcoz there are plenty of england players in our team.he has plenty of pals like carrick, rio, wazza, brown, hargo so he has friends who will make him feel comfortable

  75. phaka says:

i just think we will win tha league, as for ronaldo i think he made a mistake should have left in two seasons cos barca is gonna win everything again and he will miss the attention that the epl gets around the world ad of course playing for united.

  76. PJW says:

We need a defensive mid.. Who knows how good Hargreaves will be when he returns in January. I think a cheeky 50 million bid for Essien. He plays right back too.

  77. AIG Alex is GOD says:

any one heard that micah richards got swine flu.

  78. TonyBee says:

Back on the pictures….. Of course Owen is smiling…. he has just got all his Xmas presents for the next ten years at once…. he could have been either at Stoke or Hull…instead Santa SAF rescued him from almost oblivion. Fucking hell, he had better stsart banging a few into the net or the fans will soon turn….. me, I would rather see Nani play… and I hate Nani… !!
Maybe he will make me eat my words, but will only respect him if he gets a red card against the dippers for kicking lumps outta Stevie-me to prove he is our man and not a tosser ex-dipper playing in the last chance saloon

  79. Ericutd says:

We must trust in fergie, the lack of transfer business is usually a good thing in saf case, i’d take the squad we have now , hope Wellbeck gets games he has the ability to be a utd legend for me
