red-shouldn’t everyone be behind a player aslong as they are in a red shirt? when ronaldo leaves, that should be a different story. he has always given his best when playing, so why not some support?....This is ridiculous, I don't know where to start...He hasn't always given his best, he hasn't for the last few games so what then?...as long as he is in a red shirt? oh but if he likes to drop hints to the media that being at United won't last forever whilst he's playing for us that's ok? It's like your bird telling all your mates she's on about leaving you then coming up to you and being sort of alright....some of the time...'well she's fine with me so there's no problem'...you're a bit of an idiot mate, you have to try and address the problem, that's what we are vainly trying to do, it's blind and weak to give support unconditionally, then the support would never be appreciated by the loyal players would it? and as for maturing crap, he's 23, not 12 so let's stop trying to dream up excuses for his behaviour. oh and helen you're an idiot as well

Helen im struggling to understand what your saying, if your not english then fair play on your effort but if you are english your gonna have to make it abit clearer

As it stands with ronaldo being a United player yes he is a vital part of our team, but if he was to leave we would move on like we do time and time again. Like ive said before ronaldo isnt the main man we are a TEAM which he has only been a big part off for 2 seasons now you all seem to forget he was quite poor when he first started off here no doubt he's world class now but he hasnt always been this player that we see today.

and about Fergie rejecting the money i do agree that he desperatly wanted to keep ronaldo but it was also more than that it was a statement that we dont have to sell to anybody if we dont want to, and even though i dont like ronaldo im glad he didnt leave this summer because of the way real madrid were acting. Fergie rejecting that money and ronaldo not signing for them allowed us to keep our pride and let everyone know we're the fucking biggest team in europe not that spanish joke of a club.

RedManc - I am sure that you think nothing bad about Fergi. I am know that it impossible. Therefore I am surprised that your statements contradict your feelings. One matter not to like Ronaldo, another - to reckon that he is not necessary to the team. ANd the latter is opposite to Ferguson's opinion, isn't it?
AS regards club's support - How specifically can the fun's dislike to Ronaldo support the club?

to EastStandManc - The fact that SAF rejected 100 million pounds offer is a lively evidence that Ronaldo was vital to him.
The fact that the half-fit Hargo was over a half-fit of Ronaldo is a prove that Hargo's half-fit was better than Ronaldo's.

Red, thanks for defending the boy. He's still young and people forget this once in a while. Young people make reckless decisions all the time and so happens, Ronaldo's moment of recklessness was there for the whole footballing world to see. It's tough living life in his Vapors.

shouldn't everyone be behind a player aslong as they are in a red shirt? when ronaldo leaves, that should be a different story. he has always given his best when playing, so why not some support? every player has that dream of playing for that club they grew up supporting, ronaldo has his of real madrid. he never demanded a transfer - although he did not handle the speculations from the summer too well, but he is still only 23 years old and learning and maturing.

Sully, best player without a doubt...but increasingly his antics on and off the pitch are bringing us closer to the point where the benefits of keeping him are nearly matched by the negatives...At this current rate, him being at united will become untenable..I think most people here are recognising that the whole Ronaldo thing is starting to deteriorate, hence the effective pleas which are masked in anger for it to get sorted. And maybe, just maybe if the media, online bloggers and the crowd at OT voice those worries we can get SAF or someone at United to turn it around, saying nothing and letting it all carry on like this is weak, blind and counter-productive to Manchester United, we are not Real Madrid or Arsenal where individual players can court the limelight to the detriment of the team. Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted to making mistakes before, sometimes I can pick them myself so it's not out the realms of possibility that some of us could be right about the Ronaldo situation, I can imagine everyone at Old Trafford (inc. SAF) tip-toeing around him sometimes but I can't be sure...but that's the impression I'm getting...(walking off straight into the tunnel for a knock on the hip is not 'sensible', maybe that was a media front by SAF but it looked like he might have really believed it in the interview)

"its not based on his ability."

Spot on.

Helen and Sully would do well to read my post in the other thread.

Oh, and Helen, try not hiding behind SAF next time, eh? If Ronaldo was as vital to SAF as you suggest, then there'd've been no way a half-fit Hargo would've started against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge over a half-fit Ronaldo.
