PICTURES: United Head Tennis Training Ahead Of Shield

Ahead of the Community Shield against Portsmouth, United have been involved in a nice relaxing training session. Nani and Campbell took on the Da Silva twins, whilst Gary Neville is a match for Brown and O’Shea. Rooney was also seen in training after a few weeks off following a virus.

MU do not need John Oshea at all because he is the worst player in the team.As for Gary N, he is too old and lack of pace to play against the younger players and it is better for him to retire before he ruin MU hope to retain the championship.Ferdinand should be appoint as captain and Rooney as vise captain.Giggs and Scholes has slakened and lack of pace also and the potential young players are ready to replace them.

You clearly know everything about the team, why aren’t you the manager? oh snap. John O’Shea is probably the most consistent versatile player in the league, Gary Neville has been out for a year. Comming back from an injury at his age is not an easy thing and he needs to be applauded for his efforts. Giggs and Scholes? Correct me if I’m wrong and I know I’m not.. but didn’t Scholes score the goal that sent us to Moscow and I believe Ryan scored the goal that secured the league. You sir are an idiot, with poor english too which leads me to believe you’re foreign. I rest my case..

  6. NorwegianDevil says:

Hey David! Don’t insult all of us because of one idiot! :D

We are not all stupid morons with poor language skills and no knowledge whatsoever about the history and traditions of our great team.

Some of us even went to school, as hard as that is to believe!

  7. Anant says:

^ sir , mr.david quinn , im fuckin foreign . and if thats enough for you to suggest im less of a united fan that you are im ashamed calling you a fellow supporter of manchester united football club .

true , Manu , said giggs and scholes are off their pace , and it is true his/her english is slightly off , but for you to ridicule him for that truly shows that you lack class .
if you watch our season review of last year you’ll see how many flick ons and chips giggsy tried that just conceded possesion to the opposission .
and scholes , as much as he is my favourite manchester united player , looked seriously short of required quality in the last game against juve . i could count at least three wayward passes and one shot off target . true , he scored a stunning strike versus barca , but possebon and fletcher looked better players overall to me than scholesy in that match .
my point is , fletch and the youngsters might be able to give scholes a run for his money next season ,and if that is for the better why not give it a shot ?
we are not contesting the fact that giggs and scholes deserve a place in the united history books . clearly , they may be the best players we’ve ever had , but its reasonable enough for someone to suggest it might be high time the youngsters gave them a run for their money .

    i rest my case…..!

  8. Anant says:

Anant: David didnt say every foreign United fan isnt any less a fan, he was just pointing out that that fella was foreign which is no doubt right, and he also pointed out that “Manu” was chatting shit, which was correct again. Anant dont talk rubbish. To say that Fletcher and Possebon are going to give Scholesy a run for his money over a performance in a meaningless friendly against Juventus is ridiculous. Also Silvestre is not the worst player in the squad. Silvestre has been a good servant to United and injuries have clearly caught up with so dont dismiss him with such disrespect because I find it insulting! United have alot of so called fans who have’nt a clue what supporting a club like United is about.

O’shea, while not the most consistant of players, is a capable player. Strong on the ball and able to hold his own, good in the air with close control that belies a man of his size, John O’shea is a loyal member of Fergies squad, getting a game here and there but never complaining. And for that reason, being that Ferguson is the most successful manager in club football, your opinions on the matter are of as much importance as those of my neighbours cat. Who are you to question Ferguson? You’re one of those ‘fans’ who just started supporting united after ’99, or maybe going as far back as ’93 or ’86. Then again, you probably just developed an opinion on the matter following the double win of last season. Your opinions meant nothing to the die hard reds who’ve followed united through the fallow years of the 70s and 80s. This is not champ manager. So, while you may consider yourself a maestro because of your exploits on the aforementioned sim or your locals rags fantasy football league, the reality is you are a WUM with little or no knowledge on the sport.

And by the way, those players you showed so little respect to,- Neville, Scholes and Giggs, all three are legends, for the club and the English game, having won more between them than 95% of anyone whose had the talent to play in the top flight. Talent, along with intelligence; both attributes you clearly never had.

Dave, just because his command of the english language leaves a lot to be desired, does’nt mean he isnt english. The chav culture that is rampant in the UK nowadays is evidence enough.

Prerequisites needed to be a chav:

    - Have the innate ability to type as though you are a member of So solid Crew, or instead as though you are texting.

    - Have the reasoning of a chimp, or some other semi-intelligent animal. (apology issued later to the World Wildlife Federation)

    - Be clad in the traditional attire of the common-or-garden scumbag, ie jeans rammed up the arse, at least 2 sizes too small. A sufficient alternative is to wear the sports gear of the dominant club at the time. Combinations are applauded and seen as a sign of creativity. Also, it is an unwritten law, that all chavs must wear at least one Burberry item of clothing.

    - Must be seen to support the latest success story, yet have no knowledge of the clubs history or location. To these cretins, the top scorer in the club is all that is important

All chavs can be identified by their unneccessary use of capitals when typing. This irritating trait is typical of the chav-about-town, when trying to assert his/her point. Unfortunately, the greater-spotted chav, as stated above, has a migration pattern that is often in conjunction with the location of the Premiership Trophy and/or Champions League/F.A Cup etc.
This can be explained by the fact the majority currently frequent Stamford Bridge. However, some have managed to infest Old Trafford.

And that, is a brief summary of my thesis of the thug culture which is chav-dom.

Anant- i didnt watch the juve game but wat i heard was that scholes picked up a head injury attemptin to head a goal and only after picking the injury did he start having missed passes. So dont blame him for that. He is Very consistent and influencial. Anderson is my fav player but in each game i ave watched him he always seems to have wayward passes but no one gets on his back-so i expect no1 to be on scholesy back too. He is a real legend. Ps-am a foreign fan too and am Manutd obsessed jus like any local and find it insulting when foreign fans are branded glory hunters… GGMU

  13. Saad says:

hey by the way not all foreigners are idiots and have poor english. Im a die hard Manchester United fan from Pakistan and although i agree that what ManU wrote was utter nonsense plz dont target all foreigners here.
Bdw we should really go for an out and out striker who is a clinical finisher, can hold up play to bring ronny and wazza in and also be good in the air. And i believe that only Berbatov and Huntelaar tick those boxes…

  14. Anant says:

Gary , i believe you’re one of those who agreed with alan hansen – no one wins anything with kids .
i would be the last person in the world to criticize scholes , but watching him perform over the past year i believe we have better options in midfield . he and giggs will still be an integral part of the squad next year , and , in all probability will start all the big games to good effect .
however , thats besides my point . what im trying to say is – trust fergie’s judgement . he himself has stated the youngsters could play a crucial role next year . i am not saying possebon , the brazilian twins , evans etc will replace scholes , neville et al . they might just be given a chance in the league cup or against the likes of hull , west brom etc , and a couple of good performances here or there would mean that scholesy and the other stalwarts would not be automatic first choice . try and understand , that will only help the team . competition for places IS A GOOD THING . And i’m not basing my opinion on just one game , i only cited that as an example .

about silvestre , i agree he has been a loyal servant , its just that he gives me these fleeting heart attacks every time he’s on the ball . he’s prone to fucking up majorly in important games . and i’m not basing my observations on recent history . this goes back ever since he signed for the club . if you can name a worse player in the squad i’ll readily apologize for my comments . i did not mean to insult you or mikael . i respect him for his service , just dont rate him as a footballer .

sam – tell me about it . its so pissing off when people call you a glory hunter . some people think that just because they were born in salford they have more of a right to call themselves united supporters . i live in india and it is my dream to visit old trafford someday . i just wish that people who are fortunate enough to watch the team week in week out realize how lucky they are .

you make a good point saad. but berba and huntelaar are not the only ones who could fill that position. they are however, the only ones who might fit fergies criteria and are also available.

however, if i was being technical, i would point out that eto’o, benzema, santa cruz, adebayour and a host of other strikers like ibrahimovich etc fill the criteria mentioned above. the strikers ive mentioned though are either available through belonging to lesser clubs or having requested a transfer, or have been put on the transfer list. so whatever way it turns out, their clubs stance has been weakened. but eto’o seemingly would be struck off that list as his ego seems to be in question and he would probably expect to be on the team sheet every week. benzema has declared before that he would not move to england, prefering spain or italy (instantly linking him with the top two in spain and the top three in italy). santa cruz might be a feasible option, as blackburn, although a top team in their own right, are not on a par with united, plus he has already shown his willingness to play in this league and more importantly, his ability to shine. adebayour would probably sooner move to spain or italy as apposed to OT, because of the rivalry between l’arse and united. huntelaar wouldnt even be on my shortlist, as hes just a van nistlerooy MK II. yes he will score goals, but will other striking options be compromised as a result, in the same way as before with RVN.

and that about does it, regarding quality front men with that all-round game, who at this moment just happen to be on the market.

  16. Tom F says:

ManU I very rarely say this to fellow United supporters, as I am glad about who we are and how many of us there are, but you are talking shite.

O’shea is a no-nonsense squad player who has played many vital roles when in our team over the seasons, not least THAT goal against THOSE dippers.

As for sighting Neville’s age as a problem, did you ever see Cafu of Brazil play in the same position?

Scholes doesn’t need pace and he has never needed pace, he makes room for himself too easily for that. He creates non-stop and makes our side better when he is in it.

  17. JOn* says:

dudes, neither silvestre nor john o ‘shea is the worst player in manchester united, it’s DONG FANG ZHUO! useless shite.

  18. OTRed says:

Can Everyone stop with the Benzema nonsense already. Sheesh how much more obvious can he an Lyon make it? They don’t want to sell him, Benzema doesn’t want to come, he prefers Spain.
