The official site have tried to disguise the Manchester United home kit 2009/2010 as best they can, so here’s a quick attempt to brighten it up and give you a better look.

Appears to be a rounded black neck with a black ‘v’ across the top, as well as thick red bands on the shorts. All in all, it’s pretty nice, although not too different from the kit they’ve been wearing for the past two seasons.

it’s to celebrate old traffords 100th year apparently, taking influence from the stadium itself and the first united shirts worn at the ground, so i wudn’t be surprised if this was only a 1 season ‘comerative’ kit, with the new sponsor coming in the season after with a new design.

it’s nice though, not sure about the red bando n the shorts, as some one said, it was one of the rumoured designs doing the rounds.

I really miss our 2nd kit from 07/08, the black jersey, I thought that kit was very cool. I also already have the 1st kit from last season, I think I’m going to wait till next season to replace that one since AIG will be on for one more season…and the jersey doesn’t seem that different this year.

Also the last time we had a home shirt celebrating the history of the club (the 2006-07 Busby Babes one with the white V-Neck) it only lasted a season.

I’ll still buy it though……

i think its disguised cause the Asians always make fakes and people tend to buy it so the campaign is to promote it yet keep its identity a secret.. the club know that most fans will buy a new kit… and i think shirt sales will increase as a lot of fans are gonna need to replace their Rolando and Tevez tops
i unfortunately have the misfortune of chucking 2 tops maybe even three as i got a Campbell one too
but at least i got Rooney and i know he’s going nowhere:-)

guys lets not worry too much about signings and budget
keep faith in SAF he knows best, i personally think the deals are in place if any signings are to be made.
We don’t have to look too far back to know what this club is about– when Becks left we got a kid who not many knew about and that kid is Ronnie when Ruud left we got nobody just gave our youngsters more responsibility ie Wayne and Rolando
so i don’t think we will make too many big name signings just one maybe or maybe just strengthen in key areas a winger and a midfield enforcer

@ Giggsy11times: AFAIK, it’s a commemoration of the centenary of the first FA Cup Win in 1909 (at least, that’s where they drew the ‘inspiration’ from for the ‘V’ band across the chest), not Old Trafford.

Don’t be surprised if the Old Trafford opening ‘inspires’ (if that’s the right word for Nike designs) the AON kit next year..
