    Cool cat. ;)

  2. Giggsy's Lawyer says:

Whats with all the footballers donning those stupid Dre headphones? They look like kids headphones with the bright colours! lol

  3. msuresh says:

berb is the shit ! and fabio and rafael with those gameboys is the most childishly awesome thing ever

  4. Fred says:

Kiko needs to get that barnet cut, he’s starting to look like Hamsik. Those Brazilian kids on their Nintendos FFS… and that picture of Berba!

  5. Fred says:

Giggsy’s Lawyer – you’re right, bruv. Take the MP3 players and gadgets off these players and make them learn the art of conversation I say.

  6. RC says:

    Berba… Like a boss…

  7. Bohemet says:

Berba is one cool dude :)

  8. Fred says:

Anyone ever go on the official site? They seem to be pushing the point hard about the Sneijder denial, even having it as their top story yesterday. Seems an odd move to go to such lengths to reiterate that we don’t want him. Could it be that Inter have told us to deny it or they’ll pull out? :? That’s what I’m choosing to believe! :D

  9. Fred says:

What I mean is that it’s unprecedented, as far as I know. We’re linked with players all the time, why make such a song and dance about this one?

  10. Zee Germans says:

    Berba is the Boss!!

  11. drizzter says:

Berb doing his best impression of Don Corleone

  12. Bex says:

Berbatov is the epitome of cool..Awesome pic. :) Agree with Giggsy’s lawyer…but maybe the guys have nothing to talk about. *shrug*
Did I say Berba looks cool? Real Don Corleone drizzter. :D

  13. smartalex says:

    Great photos!

  14. PrideOfAllEurope says:

    Holy fuck, I’d do berba.

  15. sdred says:

I’d really love to know if Berba poses this way on purpose… is this like when he said he smokes when he sees paparazzi coming so he looks cool?

  16. smartalex says:

You’ll be PrideOfAllRoM if you do!

  17. StatesideAussie says:

sdred … on purpose? No, he can’t help it. The cool just oozes out.

  18. Dean-Strauss says:

    Berbatov is fucking classic.

  19. Bishopville Red says:

Not only is Berba looking cool, he’s obviously at the “back of the bus.” Too cool.

    SB

  20. Dean-Strauss says:

How is he the only one that got the solo seat? Hhahaha

  21. Djunfitforwork says:

Cool as fuck Berba -actually reading instead of some new -tech B.S.

  22. YorYor says:

There is only one Berbatov. If anything, he personifies the class that the club oozes.

  23. mig78 says:

guys, watch how the LoserFool fans reacted when one of ours turned-up to their training session (in Malaysia) wearing ManUtd’s jersey. They tried to force him to wear their shirt but the boy stood-up and never folded to their pressure. He then went out and came back later with Malaysian National team jersey. It happened to be that all his family members are LoserFools.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0dcdoU51rk

Hats off to him from me also a ManUtd fan in Malaysia.

  24. mig78 says:

sorry to come off topic. looking forward to our match against Seattle.

  25. tebogo modukanele says:

Dimitar Berbatov, awesome player with respect..love u berbatov hope u stay and fight for your place.Like Berbatov’s photo

  26. Sunny says:

    spot the GODFATHER

  27. aiaiyaya says:

    berba is too classy….

  28. Devil310 says:

@Fred – Yes, I saw that too. Doesn’t look good, mate. I’m hoping it is just Sir Alex playing mind games and just us pushing back a bit on the fee.

  29. ryan7 says:

Is anyone going to the Chicago game next week? It’s going to be my first United game in person. I’m freaking excited!!

  30. Sunny says:

Finally a way to spot the difference between the twins – by the color of their DSes. :-)

  31. Costas says:

Heh, the Berb oozing class as always!

  32. unitedFixation says:

    Berba = legend.

  33. 16 says:

Berba is THe Muts Nuts !!!!!!

  34. Costas says:

Why did Rooney bother putting hair plugs if he is going to shave his head?

  35. VolatileKid says:

    who’s Rafael and Who’s Fabio??

  36. ODD RED says:

If you want to find Park look for Evra and vice versa…

  37. dela says:

My first Berba-gasm since the Blackburn game.

    Morning y’all.

  38. Whiteside says:

WTF kind of mischief are Nani and Kiko up to?

  39. Whiteside says:

Not sure about the away kit but I dig it as a polo!

  40. Damo says:

Just when we thought Giggs was the last remaining member from the class of 92, Ben Thornley makes an appearance!
Good to see him with Rooney with United crest on chest. Shame a bad injury prevented him ever really fulfilling his potential.

  41. Whiteside says:

Oh that’s who it is Damo! I thought we’d signed John O’Shea’s slimmer brother!

  42. Costas says:

    @dela

It as my first one since the Bolton game. Too long. :P

  43. jasonpark says:

Twins have to be playing Mario kart. I’d say Fabio is yoshi and Rafael is the princesses.

  44. phunksoul_brother says:

    the BERB. classy!

  45. Fiesty Goat Pub says:

I agree with giggsys lawyer too. I know we have a good team spirit but if they were to take away the gadgets & gizmos the team would just grow stronger bonds.

  46. byron1970 says:

Does anyone else get the sense that Macheda has really grown up due to his Sampdoria experience. It’s hard to explain my feeling but he just looks like someone who’s run away from home and didn’t realise where he belonged until he was away. I think one of Ferguson’s greatest strengths is that he believes in the romance of football and he knows that crazy things can happen so he doesn’t always let his head rule his heart. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and he may just do that with Macheda this season. I dunno, maybe I’m way off the mark but he might not be sent back out on loan and could have a big part to play.

How can we forget his winner agianst Villa which is right up there with some of my all time favourite United moments. The fact is that it if wasn’t for that goal it was a very real posiblity that Liverpool could have won the league that year and for that Macheda will always have a place in all our hearts. And lets not forget his absolute cracker against Villa last season (even if he did give the ball away for Villa’s second goal), a reminder to us all just what this kid can do. His second goal the last night was a superb finish.

I’ll probably just post this message and read that Macheda has agreed a loan deal with Sunderland but I hope my heart beats my head on this one and we’re all singing Federico Macheda songs to beat the band come May.

  47. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Berba in one word – Suave. Everytime I look at him, it brings a smile to my face. That man is class through and through.

Off-topic, I am really loving this new away kit. It is fucking classic.

  48. The Fly says:

    Berba. Cool.

Patty and Ji together, there’s a shock.

  49. REDHOUND says:

Bless the Twins! they make me believe in this whole telepathy thing. Berbatov looks like he’s in a movie, Dude should act in a gangster flick with Cantona and Roy Keane when he retires.

  50. King Eric says:

byron – Absolutely spot on mate. Was talking about Macheda a few days ago on here. The lad will be top drawer.

  51. King Eric says:

Yeah gotta admit, I like the new away kit. Better than that fucking horrible white one from last year.

  52. Unitedfanatic says:

Ahahaha, look at them twins!! Playing video games together? They couldn’t have struck a better pose! :)

  53. manc212 says:

    Berba looks cool, as always.
but we’re forgetting he’s indoors and reading !
probably posing for the photo i guess… :)

  54. mikekelly12 says:

    Morning boys
@Bishopville, he’s not at the back of the bus, he’s gonna be flying the fucker!!! Everybodies heard…. about the Berb! Berb Berb Berb….The Berb is the Word!!!

  55. Devil310 says:

    Modric hands in transfer request….

Can we please get an exclusive interview with ‘arry and his thoughts on this matter?

  56. dazbomber says:

City intend to buy Sergio Agüero and Nasri these are to quality players, I see City as the main threat, so we need some one of class more than ever.We are seeing that top players dont give a fuck about history or tradition its all down to cash so we put up or shut up.

  57. mikekelly12 says:

dazbomber – Fuck City!! I’d rather keep our history and principles in tact than sell out like that classless outfit down the road. If a player doesn’t want to come to United and would rather go elsewhere for a few grand more then fuck them. We will move on and continue to be successful. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind us paying £35million for a player and paying him his worth, but if that player then says “well lets see if City offer a bit more” then tell him to fuck off!

Devil – No point in interviewing Arry, he apparently hasn’t got a clue whats going on at his club unless its being praised then he’s the all seeing buddah of the lane!

  58. dazbomber says:

@Mikekelly12- All I saying if you want the best you have to pay top dollar .

  59. smartalex says:

‘Phil Jones met the Reds in Seattle on Friday, while Spain Under-21 goalkeeper de Gea is expected to join his new Manchester United team-mates later this weekend, although neither are expected to play until the side face Chicago Fire on 23 July.’
    http://www.manutd.com/en/Tour-2011/Tour-2011-News/2011/Jul/New-boys-hungry-for-success.aspx

  60. mikekelly12 says:

dazbomber – Agreed, but as was rumoured, we had spoken to Nasri and he himself has stated he wants to play for trophies and not money, then no need to break the bank and up our offer to match City is what I’m saying. If he has courage in his conviction he would sign for United, if he chooses City than fuck him, don’t go chasing him with cash!

  61. Fiesty Goat Pub says:

@ dazbomber. I think Chicharito blows a hole in your argument about needing to pay top dollar for the best players

  62. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

    Bossman Berba doing his thing….
The rest are on their toys while this classy Mafia boss is reading The Economist.

  63. Clint-IamYourPapii says:

    love the Rio Pose 8)

  64. CedarsDevil says:

Great pictures, I just love the twins… Its easy sometimes to forget that they are still kids!

  65. dazbomber says:

@Mikekelly12- I agree with you about Nasri, I don’t know what the score is W S I don’t now if we have even spoke to him , if you believe the press it’s down to wages that’s more my point, but we can not afford to stand still and realize that what modern footballers are all about. Turn it around and if all the money was in Argentina would you give a fuck who you played for or take the best pay check?

  66. bobkoh says:

Berba! the laid back dude! one flick here & a touch there & stroke it past Pepe Reina!

  67. Heywood is Red says:

Completely off topic but ne news on who’s in for scholes testimonial? Ordered by tickets last night, stretford end tier 2 baby!!!!

  68. scan74 says:

Morning Mr Kelly agree with you boys one of the first quotes regards Nasri wanting to do the off was down to luck of success

now granted city are gonna be up there for the forseeable but the motivating factor must be money

if its a straight fight between us and them and your looking for thropies theres only 1 fucking choice

cracks me up when you here these fuckers saying they cant wait to be a part of citys exciting project nothing to do with the extra zeros on the paycheck surely samir can sort out them nashers with those extra pennies

not happy with the away kit looked shite in my humble opinion oh ffor a black viewcam of 94 or a cup semi replay adidas circa 85 with sparky sinking the scouse

  69. parryheid says:

Aguero wont have anything to do with City like any quality player with a bit of self pride, and they can forget about Nasri as well.Sir soon to be Lord A.F. has long targeted him as his main buy so expect Nasri in the coming days to be announced as our player,

  70. Gary says:

These guys lead some life don’t they. All expenses paid for trip around America and Chicago next?! Chicago is one of the coolest cities on Earth. Envy them? Maybe a tad……

  71. CedarsDevil says:

    Heywood is Red

    Lucky bugger! Enjoy

  72. kel says:

You should see the video on Man United site. The one about Rio taking videos on team mates. Nani sitting and dressing like a superstars. Damn funny. LOL

    Rio video dairy.
    http://www.manutd.com/en/Tour-2011/Tour-2011-News/2011/Jul/Today-in-Seattle.aspx

  73. Cyril Sneer says:

    Kiko has a Gucci man-bag…

Berbatov looking cool. Stay frosty daywalker.

  74. The Fly says:

Nasri is a back up plan

  75. Samuel - united WE stand says:

Childish this, childish that.. how old are some of you on here? you old boogers lol, let people do there own thing and if its knitting you like to do, then do it. fucking hell..

Berba looking like a philosopher as ever, evra looking cool, the twins inseparable as ever (would love to hang out with them), Rooney thinking, what sort of music you got on here? lol.. i like how the united team are laid back and chilled out, unlike some other players at other teams, think the fact the team is full of young players is great.

  76. Samuel - united WE stand says:

Parryheid – you’re certain about that are you? money motivates this players and aguero aint an exception, he is good but not a great player yet.

  77. parryheid says:

Been certain since Wenger let the cat out the bag first couple of days into June.

  78. CedarsDevil says:

Aguero is only known because he is related to Maradona, starts most matches for an average club like Atletico on the bench. I really hope the bitters pay over the top money and sign him

  79. RedDevil4Lyfe says:

Those dre headphones are awesome. the sound quality is brilliant.
nothing wrong with them wearing it if thats what they want – im sure they talk a lot – listening to music is good and relaxing as well.

  80. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Berbagasm what the fuck is that, has RoM become the Brown Hatters Society. I look at Berba and think what a tool. Am i the only one. Hey look at me Im an incredibaly gifted football player and playing for the best club in the world but I want to look like a Big Brother reject or the latest shirt lifter from pop idol. Get a grip you Bulgarian cunt and act like a bloody footballer rather than some soft singing R and B pop guru (lol).

  81. Cyril Sneer says:

Great news, Carlton Cole’s move to Stoke has fallen through. Sign him up Fergie! Quick before the dippers get him!

  82. CedarsDevil says:

    Goat

At your best! hahahahahahahahaha cracked the fuck out of me

    Cyril

I bet if Sir Alex hints at an interest in C Cole, the dippers will make an offer! Bloody idiots

  83. dannysoya says:

LMAO they just look like a family. the kids rafael and fabio playing nintendo while the big boy berb just reading a mag. LOL.

  84. Costas says:

    @Goat

It’s called being classy. You should try it sometime. Only kidding mate.

  85. Balaji Sivaraman says:

I expect Nasri to stay on for this season and expect to leave somewhere the next summer for free. Wenger buys time and Nasri gets what he wants. But I could be badly proven wrong, it has happened before.

@Cedars, Gotta agree about the kids. I love them to bits and the maturity they display on the field belies their young age.

  86. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Yeah danny and the fat kid not content with a fucking chair but would rather get really close and suffocate you in a backhanded way to get a free lunch.

  87. CedarsDevil says:

Now we have a red and a black Goat posting…………. One was bad enough! :-)

  88. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Costas – seetheart – being classy eh. I thought I baaaaa’d. Whats classy about wearing the same glasses as every chav on the street (Cheryl Cole glasses if ever i saw some). Get a grip mate. Your not into all that washing and aftershave shit are you topped off with clean shirt and stlish dior glasses. Is that how you get a girl nowadays, i bet you even say please and hold her tight to you after youve made LOVE, lol. ha ha.
In my eyes the womans gets what shes sodding given. Whats the point of washing when at the end of it all youre by far going to be the cleaner one in the relationship. Both in mind and general hygien. No matter how much aftershave you put on its not going to hide the stench of what was pulled out of her by reaching 13 inches in. Glasses aint going to help because you’d wish you were blind. A clean shirt, lol.

  89. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

found a youtube video that is me answering back to a dago asking me who the president of barcalona is.

  90. RedPharoe says:

The Berb just has to much class!

  91. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    RedPharoe, homo in d’nile

  92. CedarsDevil says:

Q : What do you call 5 ugly as fuck cunting cunt monkeys on the back of a beautiful horse?

A : The 5 usual trolls that keep infesting RoM

  93. Costas says:

    @Goat

Hey, what’s wrong with being a gentleman, lol? Nah, it’s not always about being clean and washed up. I agree there. I just don’t think Berbatov does it to impress any woman. It’s just his style. Speaking of tools, hey, having seen Becks at the club, everyone else pales in comparison. Berbatov is like Trifon Ivanov compared to him.

Agreed with you points about women. I’ll share the heat with you this time. ;)

P.S. For anyone that doesn’t know who Trifon Ivanov is:

    http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00743/Trifon_Ivanov_743603a.jpg

  94. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Is that Berbas woman Costas. Shes one fucking minger but thats not the worst thing. It looks like shes one of these new fangled birds who likes and plays football.
When was it that woman thought they were welcome to come along with the boys to watch or play football. Where in the sentence “I’M going to watch football with my mates down the pub now, you stay here and fix the house up or I’ll fuck your face over”, did the stupid gender decide I know I’ll surprise him and bless him with my company once the match gets underway.

  95. Costas says:

    “Goat

Haha, beats me pal. I still watch football on my own. Whether I am single or not. At least that way I can concentrate on our formation without getting into discussions about whether x or y footballer is prettier. Not that some women don’t watch football for the actual sport. I just haven’t met any of them, lol.

And no that’s not Berba’s girlfriend. She is not hairy enough for that.

  96. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

On another note, what bloody plane are they in that they have to bring their own bloody entertainment. I thought Turkish airlines were supposed to be the height of luxury. By the looks of the decor and finnishing work on the carpet I wouldnt be surprised if there isnt a bloke with a fucking goat onboard selling bloody carpets and pillows. Cunts.
Its Manchester United please show some fucking respect.

  97. CedarsDevil says:

    Costas

Damn you for reviving the wee Wes clique……….. Thought we washed them away already!

  98. Fred says:

    Goat – LMAO here

  99. TonyBee says:

    WE SIGNED ANYONE ELSE YET….

  100. TonyBee says:

BORED OUT OF MY FUCKING MIND

  101. swede says:

The first pre season game was the greatest pre season game I have ever seen by United. They all loved to be back playing the game and none more so than Macheda who was absolutely amazing and I am amazed it has not been mentioned more.
I still fear United will let him slip away to another club on loan or permanent and that would be a catastrophy because the boy has so much football in him and an eye for goal that is matched by just a few in the game.

  102. Whiteside says:

Watching the golf today – it’s a bit like watching Shitty – rich men with small balls all playing for themself.

  103. dela says:

Bored as fuck. Is anything happening anywhere in the world?

  104. Fred says:

Costas – brilliant that Nike are now paying for our transfers. 8) Maybe they’ll bring Ronnie back to us.

  105. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    @Whiteside, LOL!

@Fred, Ronnie’s joined the dark side with Adidas now. Screw Him.

@Cedars, The clique will never die as long as there is a little bit of “hope” left.

  106. dela says:

    @Balaji

The clique? Has Captain K9 been posting again?

  107. ilamb22 says:

I live in Seattle, and tonight was the stuff that dreams are made of. First of all, I got invited to a VIP event in which I got to meet Bryan Robson and Patty Crerand. Oh yeah, I also got to lift #19, the trophy itself. Then I met Sir Alex, who shook my hand signed my scarf! Fucking magical!

  108. Fred says:

swede – the greatest pre-season games I can remember are the MLS All-Star game last season, the game against FC Seoul with the hilarious English commentator, and the US Tour of 2003 when we walloped Celtic, Juventus and Barcelona in front of sold-out stadiums. 8)

  109. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@dela, LOL mate, this is a new “clique” formed by Fred and Me with the plan of bringing Sneijderman to Old Trafford. The opposing clique in this case contains Costas and Cedars. All for a bit of fun.

  110. Fred says:

LOL it might be a bit of fun for you mate, but I’m going to the mattresses. 8) It’s what Berba would do.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUT07eZoXPw

  111. Whiteside says:

Can I join your clique? I want to see those special Sneijdy powers at Old Trafford!

  112. Costas says:

    @Cedars

Lol, let them dream a bit.

    @Fred

I wonder if Nike paid for some of Rooney’s ambitions. :D

  113. Fred says:

Probably paid for his hair transplant, I’ll say that much.

  114. dela says:

    @Balaji

Haha, I’m joining the clique too. The best midfielder in the world at the moment, imo.

Whom do Cedars and Costas want us to sign anyway? Nigel Reo Coker?

  115. dela says:

I wanted to change my display name to Friendly Neighbourhood Sneijderman, only to see that someone had beaten me to it.

Premature, I’ll admit, but you can’t blame a man for dreaming, can you?

  116. mikekelly12 says:

Afternoon Scan – Yeah, we’ll just have to see what develops. I’m with Balaji, I think he’ll be at the Emirates for another season.

Parryheid – Why so certain pal?

In my own personal and humble opinion I think Aguerro is quality. A lot younger than Tevez and plenty of scope to improve. Last time I checked he was leading scorer in the Copa, however, not seen it for a few days so this might have changed, regardless, I think if City sold Tevez for £45m and got Aguerro for the same price, City would be getting a hell of a deal.

  117. Costas says:

    @dela

    Scott Parker.

Nah, someone that can will stick his foot in and step in for Fletcher when he’s injured. If Sneijder joins us, I am not sure if we will even be able to play 4-4-2 with him in the team.

  118. willierednut says:

Paddy power, have apparently suspended betting, on wee Wes joining United. Run Cedars, run!

  119. FiveCantonas says:

I know everyone has said this but how fucking cool is the Berb

  120. willierednut says:

Also, Sneijder done a lap of honor after a friendly yesterday.

Squeaky bum time Cedric. Sorry, Cedars!

  121. Supatrice says:

LMAO Look at Berbatov fucking hell, say what you like about him as a player but you can’t say he’s not one cool motherfucker!

  122. mikekelly12 says:

Willie – Where did you hear that fella?

  123. dela says:

I didn’t follow Blackburn all that much last season, but didn’t Jones fill in brilliantly as a defensive mid some time last season? He could be moulded into the next Keane, though that might mean breaking a fantastic partnership with Smalling.

  124. Fred says:

    @Costas

Sneijder can play any position, mate – he’s from the Ajax academy. 8)

I don’t know why people think he would be completely out of his depth in a 2-man midfield. Who would have thought Giggs could play in a 2-man midfield? Or any midfield for that matter? We’ve won many big games with a Carrick & Giggs midfield – no-one “sticking their foot in” there. 8)

  125. Fred says:

Dela – I’ve heard he actually played more games in midfield than he did at centre-back. He’ll definitely see some action in that position for us imho.

  126. Whiteside says:

Fucking hell the Berb is turning a few on here today! Sorry lads but he’s faithful to his lovely lady Trifon!

  127. jasonpark says:

    Has sneijder signed yet ????

  128. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

The sky is red, I don’t understand,
past midnight I still see the land.
People are sayin’ the woman is damned,
she makes you burn with a wave of her hand.
The city’s a blaze, the town’s on fire.
The woman’s flames are reaching higher.
We were fools, we called her liar.
    All I hear is “Burn!”

    fuck i wanna get high

  129. Fred says:

    Inter game:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DrMVbwDO7E

I just wasted 7 minutes of my life watching that. Sneijder sets up two goals, but there’s no footage of any injury or lap of honour. The transfer is off again. :(

  130. Fred says:

    4 minutes I should say!

  131. dela says:

    @Costas

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS1kCzWl8sM
    Still not convinced?

  132. Costas says:

    @Fred

Correction. We’ve won some big games against Chelsea with Giggs in midfield. It’s one of football’s unexplained mysteries that midfielder Giggs shits on Essien, Lampard and co. :) But in general, I haven’t felt too comfortable with him playing there. Not that Sneijder is a similar case. He’s about 10 years younger than Giggs for one. The problems I see him having are (a) adapting to the English style of play and (b) learning to play as a CM in a 4-4-2. I am sceptical about that due to the Veron experience. Either way, like I said last night, my main worry is who will do the job that Fletcher does for us. Snejder is welcome by me, but I don’t think he’s the answer to that.

  133. arijc says:

The BBC journo has finally realized that he was sold a dummy by the club on the lack of interest in Sneijder. Betting has been suspended on most betting sites.

  134. Zibbie says:

@GOAT thanks for the AC/DC video the other day, I saw them 4 times that summer.
Let there be light, let there be sound, let there be drums, let there be guitar
LET THERE BE ROCK!!!! For all Reds ROCK OUT WITH YOUR COCK OUT!!! less the a month now.

  135. dela says:

    @Costas

Carrick does a fairly good job shielding the defence. I’m still hoping the Fletcher job will be done by Fletcher himself, if only he can get rid of that fucking virus. With Jones providing cover, we should be fine.

  136. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Costas, I can see where you’re coming from mate but to reiterate what I’ve been saying for a long time – Veron and Berbatov had similar problems of other players being ahead of them and not getting the chance to shine like they should’ve. If Sneijder comes, he will be an immediate starter and will get to influence games the way he loves to do. So, I can’t see Verongate or Berbagate happening again.

@arijc, I knew Sir Alex was bluffing because there was interest and executive level talks were definitely going on. It’s not as over as some people think it is. With betting suspended, that does tell something also.

  137. willierednut says:

    It’s gonna happen.

  138. Costas says:

    @dela

I was always convinced about Scholesy. ;)

Seriously, no denying Wes is a very good player. I just don’t believe he is someone our midfield is missing dearly. Going back to the Wembley final as well as the away games our midfield was overrun at, imo it wasn’t because we were lacking someone with his passing and vision. We weren’t doing enough to break down their attacks.

  139. willierednut says:

Tom Watson, will win the open.

  140. Fred says:

Costas – the answer is to give Sneijder a kilt and tell him to get stuck in.

  141. Whiteside says:

Sir Fergs once said he wouldn’t sell a virus to Madrid – that’s cos he wants Barca to get the virus instead. He’s been perfecting it, tested it out on the Fletch and now it’s ready to take down the tippy tappy mothers!

  142. Costas says:

    @Balaji

That wasn’t Veron’s problem so much mate. Fergie changed our system around and played Scholes in an advanced role to accomodate him. It just wasn’t happening.

    @dela

Haven’t seen Jones play in midfield, but I wouldn’t count on him to step in for Fletcher. Not yet anyway. Obviously we are all hoping that Fletcher will shake off the virus because when fit and healthy he is an autimatic starter in mye yes. But he is still suffering from it.

  143. mattbw7 says:

Reports lots of betting sites have stopped taking on sneijder bets though on betfair they still have it at 1-5.

  144. mikekelly12 says:

    I’ll give anyone 1-2!!

  145. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

no worries Zibbie mate. My favourite ACDC tune. Not a fan as such bet anyone with a sense of intelligence can pick out a handfull of master pieces out of that band. Im more prog rock, classical, death metal, hippie, Im all over the bloody place but if it doesnt make a statement im not interested generally. I hate sheep music for I IS GOAT.

  146. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Costas, Agreed. Having followed Sneijder too well for the past few years, I am inclined to say that history will not repeat itself again if we get him. :)

STR is on the warpath in twitter. Really laying it down on The Mirror.

BREAKING NEWS on @MirrorFootball. Man in pub claims Sniejder has signed for United!!

STOP! PRESS! @MirrorFootball has spoken to Ferguson’s cleaner’s brother’s hairdresser. SNEIJDER IS A UNITED PLAYER!

  147. gaurav12931 says:

    Inna Ivanova is HOT!! :D

  148. Zibbie says:

wee wes here mate. Come to Old Trafford.

  149. wayne says:

morning reds don’t know if anyone mentioned it,fletcher caught the virus again hasn’t trained since july 4th?if that’s true something doesn’t add up there
@Goat i know you enjoy being antagonistic but slagging the berb off for being cool, really, fuck me.some people are born brian ferry cool, berba fits into that category so leave the lad alone please,he gets enough grief.

  150. Zibbie says:

I eat Lambs, and milk GOATS for cheese.
Ozzy with Back Sabbath were here in 78 with the Scorpions with Deff Leopard to open for them.

  151. Whiteside says:

gaurav – you can have her mate, as far as im concerned.

  152. Zibbie says:

@wayne I think the lad might be really ill? Hope not. If he is weak or misses a lot of the season?

  153. StatesideAussie says:

Anyone know what’s up with Fletch? Is it true he’s still not well? I can’t believe it’s the same fucking virus. Drogba had fucking malaria and didn’t suffer as much.

  154. Zelh says:

partytown said over a week ago that fletcher is ill again.

  155. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Stateside, Not every disease affects every person in the same way mate. (Yeah, I watch House too much.)

Another poster said this on a different thread:

“I understand Fletcher has a form of glandular fever virus/ME which causes fatigue and is quite difficult to get over. It is not uncommon in atheletes because their immune system is supressed slightly due to the energy they spend.”

But, in all honesty, nobody outside the club has any real idea what is affecting him. I just hope he can get over it soon enough.

  156. willierednut says:

    He’s got a virus!

  157. wayne says:

@Zelh hi mate didn’t know just reading about it in some articles this morning, ask me has to be more than a virus, think the situation makes it imperative that utd sign a midfield player.

  158. Zelh says:

wayne – fletcher will definitly miss the start. nobody knows when he’s able to play again. yes we definitly need another midfielder.

  159. willierednut says:

We needed a midfielder before this. It’s a must now.

  160. StatesideAussie says:

Just seems to be dragging on forever — assuming it’s the same virus and not something new. I am worried for him.

  161. StatesideAussie says:

willie … yes, but it raises a question: what sort of midfielder? Sneijder and Fletcher are very different types of players. I suspect that if we get anyone on the basis of covering for Fletch, it may be a new signing that wasn’t contemplated previously.

  162. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Stateside, Another option, though it is not idea, would be to use Park in Fletcher’s position. Given that we are spoilt for riches in the wide positions, Park moving in will not be much of a trouble. He has already done wonders there and the game against AC Milan where he did a job on Pirlo springs to mind immediately.

  163. Zibbie says:

Stateside I am worried for him as well mate. His quality of life.

  164. Zibbie says:

The women are calling, time to go to the River.
Peace out and to all Reds, many blessings.

  165. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    wayne
I really wasn’t having a go as such so didn’t mean to offend. Im a huge Berbatov fan just wonder why in this day and age those with the money, the celebraties as it were, dress and act like one of us. I suppose 30 years ago the likes of Moon and Bolan were just so cool that to copy them was not easy or inexpensive for the general populus to mimmick SO it looks as if celebraties now are mimmicking us rather than us them.
Bryan Ferry cool, love it. Dead right though. Maybe Berba has got that little extra.

  166. Fred says:

    Take me to the river
    Wash me in the water

  167. StatesideAussie says:

Balaji … yeah, we have options, but when something drags on as long as this has done, it naturally raises concerns about the longer term. He has played only two matches since the beginning of March, noithing at all in the last two months, and now we’re hearing he won’t be available for the start of the season. If he misses the first few weeks, it will be going on four months between matches for the lad. FFS, TonyV was out for six months, and we know how bad his injuries were.

  168. SirAlex'sSon says:

Hurray! The Goat hates sheep music…die all you sheep shaggers!?!

This has been said countless times on here, but even I can’t resist to say it myself
    THE BERB OOOZZZES CLASSS!!!

  169. Fred says:

Hearing rumours that one of our players is a Scientologist. If true, I’m fuming.

  170. willierednut says:

    That’s BS.

  171. Redslevin says:

    @Fred
    Link?

  172. Whiteside says:

    Bloody Sneijder?

  173. The Fly says:

Since when is Bryan Ferry cool?

The Edge, now there’s a cool bloke.

    Also, welcome Super Wes Sneijder.

  174. StatesideAussie says:

Fuck The Edge. Fuck U2. Bunch of wankers. Bryan Ferry is cool. The Berb is cool. lol

  175. willierednut says:

Bryan took the ferry to America and became a slave to love.

  176. StatesideAussie says:

Frank Zappa was cool. *And* he could *play* the guitar. Really play it. Unlike The Edge, on both counts.

  177. sandeep1878 says:

Fletcher :( what the fuck is this Virus, looks deadlky than HIV..

we need him fit for god sake..

    @ stateside aussie..

good too see you back mate..your posts are excellent as always..

    @ Balaji,

i dont know what the fuck is goin on with Wesley,

but if we sign him then u gonna throw me a party for sure :P

    @ Costas,

yup i have to agree with your point on

” We weren’t doing enough to break down their attacks.”

i just would like to add a line or two to it,

we were poor in posession away from home, when i say poor, i say it by the standards we have set..

that is where we missed Fletcherinho..we needed a lad to cover every inch of the grass in the middle of the park and only Fletch does it for us relentlessly (park, on wings)…

we gave away the posession very cheaply in few away games..

i have a feeling that Jones is gonna be playing more like a carrick role to begin with..

if he fits in well n fires on all cylinders, then we can have the carrick of 07-08 season, meaning he can play a bit further up..

i want that bloody carrick of Roma game 7-1..

people crib (even some UTD fans) about the carrick thing,

but Sir Alex has given him a role which is played to perfectioin by him..

if and if, if he will asked to go back to that 07 mode of carrick, then we are in for a thrill..

    what u folks reckon?

though my call on Jones is too early, but if we dont sign any player further and if Fletch keeps ill, then it might turn out to be true..

  178. StatesideAussie says:

I knew a chick once, if she saw Bryan Ferry on TV, she’d have to cross her legs to stop her pussy dribbling on the floor. That’s the power of cool.

  179. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

You twat. The Edge cool, who calls themselves the edge, fucking grow up. Im the reverberator, lol

Bryan Ferry doing the Strand is as cool as cool gets.

Stateside Zappa was brilliant. My favs are with Napolean Murphy Brock. Personally like Montana and Florentine Pogan. But I also love Roy Estrada and the gas mask and the mothers and Brown Shoes. I was campaigning very very loudly for Roy Estrada to be the next pope, shouting at people outside churchs.
Link to Roy Estrada and his gas mask specially for you Stateside.

    My fridge is cool.

  188. StatesideAussie says:

sandeep … I could see SAF trying Jones as a DM, though I am not sure if he’d be in the same style as Carrick. I don’t have any problem with Carrick doing what he’s doing now. I know some think he’s been rubbish since he moved into that “screening” role. But it’s all about using positional intelligence to mess with the other team’s attacking options.

  189. willierednut says:

The Pink Panther is the coolest cat in history.

  190. Balaji Sivaraman says:

I am cool right now thanks to my air-conditioner.

  191. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Stateside.
Glandular fever can be very bad and affects high level athletes who have been pushed beyond their level to a point were they become immuno suppressed.

    This from one site:
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common viral illness. It belongs to the herpes virus family, which also includes viruses responsible for chickenpox, glandular fever and cold sores.

As with other members of the herpes virus family, CMV remains dormant in the body for life. Reactivation of the virus can occur but this is not common and does not usually result in illness.

More than half of the population is estimated to have been infected with CMV by the time they reach mid adulthood. For the large majority of healthy individuals CMV infection is not a serious problem. However it can present serious risks to unborn babies and individuals with weakened immune systems.

    ————

If this is what Fletch has, he really needs to be given a complete rest and we all need to understand what he has given to this team.

  192. StatesideAussie says:

Goat … hey, cheers for that! lol I have 84 Zappa albums … the Zappa family is still releasing live recordings, so it’s hard to keep up. Estrada as the pope? What a hoot! Great clip. “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Mask ” Always been one of my favs

  193. StatesideAussie says:

FTM … thanks for the info. It’s frustrating when the club doesn’t say much, can lead to all sorts of speculation. If he needs rest, or whatever he needs, he should get it. Not sure if you thought I was having a dig at him, but I wasn’t. Right now, he’s probably our most important guy in the MF.

  194. FletchTHEMAN says:

Just realized that I posted a bit about CMV virus because it is related and the issue of immunosuppression was stated clearly.

I think “Glandular Fever” is actually associated with a related herpes virus family member called
Epstein-Barr virus. EBV causes Infectious mononucleosis which is the technical name for glandular fever.

  195. suckzutd4life says:

  203. smartalex says:

That pricks my memory, we don’t have a thornly in our side, not to rub it in.
