    Morning

aig – Yeah you are probably spot on with that line up. I just said Fletch out wide because that is how we went against Spurs and hammered them. Interesting that Fergie said the players were “fresh” for Sunday. Reckon he will have had Giggsy wrapped in cotton wool for this game for him to run the midfield again.

Corea – I thought Fabio was poor last night mate. Kept getting caught out of position many times. Still young though. Pat made a hell of a difference when he came on. You really aren’t keen on him are you?

Always be closing – Regarding the Russians in the North Stand. I sit three rows from the back of the top tier and there were russians in one of our Corporate boxes. They actually cheered when their first goal went in only to be met with abuse from United fans . Why the fuck are these corporate cunts taking “away fans” into the boxes? Idiots. The two Russian women in there were fucking stunning though!

I heard the megastore are now selling heart monitor’s, does this club put ya through the mill or wat. Regarding the match, the defence was edgy all game thought wes was poor, better at rb for me. Nani got dogs abuse again the kids diffo lacking confidence at the minute. I agree wiv king eric about fabio the blonde haired guy give em a tough time but he will get better. ps is darren fletcher the most unluckiest guy in football how many times is this going to happen to em

@aig oh thank you mate you just made me a little bit more relieved. I didnt know Vida can play against Chelsea. There is no way i would leave him out if he is available.

Could somebody please tell me exactly what Obertan did so well?
Again, I don’t understand all the plaudits he’s receiving. He didn’t change the game when he came on. He didn’t do anything spectacular.
By all means, inform me as to why you’re all praising him so much for what he did last night.

I thought Nani was solid. He didn’t make any glaring mistakes and his flick to Owen was sublime.
If anything, Fletcher should’ve been removed. I didn’t think he had much of a game.

Valencia was a monster in the first half. Kiko was great. Looked a bit tired later on but he was a constant threat and linked well with Owen .

    Again though, Obertan?

Red Devilled Egg – Where to start. If you can’t see what Obertan brought to the game last night then it is beyond me mate. He brought pace, he ran at their full backs, he hogged the touchline and he played simple passes. He played a couple of outstanding one two’s with Pat and Rooney and made two superb reverse passes. He looks assured and has tricks up his sleeve. People aren’t “bigging him up” for the sake of it you know. Not bad for a fifteen minute cameo. As for Fletcher what do you mean? He had a fairly decent game last night but most importantly he regained some match fitness , essential for going to the bridge on Sunday. It is early days but my money is on Gabby beating Nani to that left wing place.

I find it funny that all of you on here can constantly slate Nani for everything he does and then turn around and beak me for questioning the contribution of Obertan et al.
Nani was good last night. I’d much rather have him in the lineup. He’s faster and is always willing to take on defenders. Obertan has yet to do anything better than Nani.
King Eric, if you can’t see what Nani brings to every game then it is beyond me.

Red Deviled Egg – I CAN see what Nani brings to the game. He is skillful and has pace and he works hard tracking back (usually for the ball he has lost) and has a cracking shot BUT he is also the most frustrating player I have had the displeasure to see. That is one of his problems, he doesn’t take defenders on enough. It is almost a cliche now but his final ball and decision making are poor 9 times out of 10. In among all this though he has flashes of brilliance a la the flick for Owen last night.

Has he made THAT much of a marked improvement in 2 and 1/2 seasons? In my opinion no.

  8. King Eric says:

p s – Is Nani quicker than Obertan though? I would have to say no he isn’t.
