thanks for all your efforts and that cross to CR7 in the ECF 08

    Good luck to you

  5. Costas says:

Once again, good luck Wes. Sorry it ended like this for you at United.

  6. smartalex says:

A very sad day indeed. Wes Brown has been a favorite player of mine. Thanks Wes!
So many memories of thanking God for Wes in moments where only he would suffice.

Good luck lad. Bring Sunderland some silver!

  7. Fred says:

Those are great, Scott. :) I especially like the picture of him celebrating his goal against Blackburn with Rio, Vida and Berbatov. Also the picture of him with Becks in the San Siro (made me feel all sentimental!)

  8. T4M says:

    Awww

  9. willierednut says:

Thanks for everything big bad. Good luck man. You and john scored against the scum. Thanks for that lads.

  10. Costas says:

According to transfermarkt.co, O’Shea cost Sunderland 4 mil. That’s a reasonable fee. If this was 2000.

  11. smartalex says:

John O’Shea has left United on this very sad day.

  12. WHAT ??? says:

That is absolute quality – love a good RoM-Motague

  13. Dave Malaysia says:

Feeling a little down right now, came in an saw 2 guys who reflect our culture and the fabric of Manutd, leaving.

Glad it was done the same typical manner as when they face the highs and lows of thier career at Manutd, calm and no fuss or drama.

Polite, respectful, get on with it atitude. Dosent mean inside they enjoying this, they must be sad but see with grace they just get on with it.

    Brilliant.

Dear Wesley and O’Shea ,thank you for everything, May God Bless you and yr families, may u both have brilliant careers at Sunderland, and always, always, always keep Manchester United safe.
That means scoring against and neutralising our common enemies and encouraging us to win when we face each other.

We are going to miss u both but as always we never forget, thats the Manutd way, we never forget our own.

Fergie ,u better be right, or i swear im going to turn up in yr dreams with a zulu and a camel rider and slap yr butt around.

  14. Always Be Closing says:

Neville, Scholes, Van Der Sar, Big Bad Wesley Brown, O’Shea, Hargreaves.. I could’ve easily missed someone else out because of the amount of people leaving, but all this is so sad. It’s going to be strange next season without the Old Guard in there, youth are coming I suppose.

  15. Mitko Berbatov says:

Will see montage of O’Shea as well? Tough players to lose but it is part of the business.

  16. Another Vintage Year says:

Fuckin devastated the two lads are gone.

  17. dela says:

Two of the most underrated players of their generation. The news has left me in a lousy mood- it’s a relief the gaffer isn’t a sentimental fool like me.

Thank you for all the memories, Wes and John. I still can’t picture the two of you in any jersey apart from ours, but c’est la vie, I suppose. Good luck.

  18. dam'sir sir'leem sadam says:

oh! Wes, he’s a player of his type only. I am a big fan of him as wel as O’shea but the special thing with brown was that he never complained when he was left out of starting eleven, he’s very patient never argued with anyone and always help other players but now the time has come for him to move on with his carier. Without forgetting Mr.john either let me take this oppotunity to wish you success with the new challenge. starting eleven, he’s very patient never argued with anyone and always help other players but now the time has come for him to move on with his carier. 19. smartalex says:

Dave Malaysia, hello mate! It is a very sad time. Of course, Sir Alex is doing what he knows to be right, and that always turns out very well for United.

  20. Dave Malaysia says:

    A view of Manchester United:

I commented before that this season was to see Fergie decide on all the careers at our club.

We watched as some decisions came early, while others have surprised us like O’Shea to sunderland.

We have debated, got upset and insults flew all over and somehow some idiots have outdone themselves with the sick stuff they say about our own.

We pride ourselves that we are different,we are not shitty and livers and the rest.

We accept we are not perfect but we do our best to get things right.

We go to work with STR and fix this blog and keep some of the abusers out.

Rafael Varane ,me thinks was part of the new rebuilding. Fergie wud have done his homework well,as we are finding out from a mexican coach ,that United watched Chicarito for months before signing him.

Varane got seduced by zidane . There is always another name on the list. Will we hear of another Fullback signing?

VDS,Gary,Scholes have retired. Ryan will retire next June.

    Hargreaves,O’Shea,Brown have left.

Kuzs,Obertan,Diouf,Bebe,Gibson are possibles to leave before the transfer window closes.

The picture of our team is becoming clearer, its a calculated move, well planned with clear direction from Fergie and his management team.

We as a club always maintain a disciplne structure and careful manner in our football side.
Meaning a certain number of player per youth, reserve and first team , the total number of player at that level at a certain number, the salaries at certain numbers.

What we earned carefully spent on the football structure. The cutoff point is 50% of revenue spent on players ,the figure the club likes is 45% of revenue , around that figure.

So I expect as Gary just said Fergie will not panic even if he misses a player in the transfer market,he is prepared to wait till he finds the right player. No hypes or signing for the sake of signing but carefull homework looking for the right player.Bebe was an exception where he took the advice of our portugal scout and Quieroz.

I beleive that Fergie is shaping the team , also maybe feom what he has seen both wes and john may not feature as much in the future and lastly after grooming the young players in all competitions and in major pressure cooker games, they now stand up.

He cant keep Chris or Evans or Jones too long on the bench. They must play regularly and that also means Fabio and Rafael willstepup and start playing more often.

The beauty of it , is that they have already proven themselves capable, this is thier reward.

    De Gea,Lindegaard

    Vidic,Evra,Jonny,Chris,Jones,Fabio,Rafael

    Flecther,Carrick,Anderson

    Park,Nani,Valencia,Young

    Rooney,Chica,Berba,Owen

with Rio needs sorting out, with Welbeck,Cleverly,Diouf,Macheda all wying for positions and Giggs as the bonus player.

So who is the real target that Fergie is going for ? 2 more signings? Fullback and midfeilder?

Lastly , 3 things to look out for in the coming weeks. 1st the new youth team , 2nd the graduates to the reserve/plus signings basically our new reserve team. Example will Reece Brown step up to first team; who will join Morrision.Pogba,Tunnicliff in the reserves.
3rd the final shape of our first team.

The future is here brothers ,big changes, embrace it, God Bless Manchester United.

  27. Fred says:

Dave – don’t forget Berbatov. I still think there’s a chance he will be sold too.

  28. smartalex says:

I’m ready to dream walk my ass and Balaji’s camel, melodious ode in tow.

I am well Dave Malaysia, thanks. And so are you, I believe!

  29. Gaffer says:

    we had wesley brown
will miss that – orange hair be ware, come and have a go if you dare

  30. TonyBee says:

shame he had to leave …but calling SAF a cunt was unfortunately the end off the road….

  31. WHAT ??? says:

@ Fred – No chance Berbatov is gonna be sold. No sentiments either. Him, Rooney and Hernandez were just about enough last Season to get us over the line and there were times they all looked knackered. With Welbeck back to freshen things up we look just about right you ask me. Berb is solid for another season, and he’s getting better. Valencia and Nani will deliver the ball all day and Rooney and Hernandez love it but Berb likes it to feet, he’ll get that in Young. O’Shea, Brown, Scholes hasn’t shocked me but Berbatov would.

  32. Jaandsdad says:

all the best Wes, you had a great carrer at Old Trafford only blighted by injury and bad luck.
You’ll be MINT , as they say in the north east, @ Sunderland
You will always be my second favourite ginger at United.

  33. Fred says:

    Harsh on Nicky Butt, that

  34. Jaansdad says:

    fred
he’s part of the bald brotherhood now

  35. Fred says:

Hahahaha!! That’s a great one! Thanks for the laughs. :D

  36. Fred says:

I’m with you, I prefer Wes to Nicky anyway – bald or otherwise. Sorry Butty! :)

  37. Jaansdad says:

Would be good to see another member from the Dutch chapter joining soon.

  38. Fred says:

    Ahhh yes, brother Sneijder.

  39. Jaansdad says:

    no problem fred

  40. Fred says:

We should get brother Stam on the case. Perhaps brother Sneijder could be gently persuaded to drop his wage demands…

  41. Jaansdad says:

Amen to that.He would be welcomed with open arms by the two founding fathers Charlton and Stiles

  42. youCANT buyTHISfeeling says:

This is a very strange feeling, gutted that they’re leaving but honestly want the best for them. And if they get proper playing time in Sunderland well then it’s ok. Not nice seeing them in the shirts though :(
Thank you boys for everything, it’s been emotional

  47. bayobuya says:

@Dave Malaysia I’m a Zulu, call me when you are visiting Fergie in his dreams LOL!. However I dont think that willbe necessary the youngsters ought to step up.

  48. K_Stand_Red says:

One of my earliest memories of Wes, that certainly sticks in my mind, is from his debut season in ’98. It was a cold December night, pissing it down in fact. Chelsea were the visitors and we were leading through Andy (yes Andy, not Andrew) Cole with a brilliant goal on the stroke of half time.

Anyway, Le Saux was already upsetting a few people with some of his antics (what Chelski player doesnt), when he tried to take Wes on down the Chelski left. If memory serves, Le Saux knocked the ball past and gave chase. An almighty battle between the two ensued, which culminated in “our Wes” sliding through and taking man and ball… leaving the Chelsea full back dumped on his arse in the advertising hoardings and practically in the front row of the Stretty!

Cue “We’ve got Wesley Brown… we’ve got Wesley Brown” by the masses…

Great memories Wes, I wish you every success at Manchester Re-United…

  49. Wayne says:

    Admin,

Do u had John O Shea United career photo like u make for this one for Wes Brown?Cheers.
