    The best night I have ever had as a United fan, I was still celebrating the equaliser when Ole had scored the winner, a true United perfomance never give up.

    Oh Teddy Teddy! What a fantastic night. I wore my United jersey (the blue away kit we wore at Highbury in 97-98 when we lost 3-2) at school the following day. The day Ole Solskjaer became my favorite United player of all time.

    It’s the only time we have beaten Bayern in 7 games. The other games are 4 draws and 2 losses. And actually, we’ve never beaten them over the course of 90 minutes. :P

    The picture of Schmeichel tried to head a ball was amazing, to think he didn’t use his hands as a keeper should be.

    Great post.

    @parjo

    At the moment Schmikes is trying to head the ball, he is in the Bayern penaly box trying to score. :D

    I left my voice in Barcelona that night. Best night of my life.

    I couldn’t speak properly for 3 days after cos I shouted and screamed that much when Ole banged the winner in. My throat was killing me! The most mental evening of following United ever.

    Happy days indeed!! :)

    i was only 9 when this majestic night happened. Probably the main reason why I’m a United supporter now. I straight away asked for a United jersey from my dad. Since I’m from Malaysia, the jersey was hard to get (back then), had to wait for few months for it. Incredible night though.

    @Giles Oakley

    Barcelona 99 wouldn’t be the same without David May in there!

    Giles Oakley – the title of this is pictures you may NOT have seen. I think we’ve all seen David May pictures, considering he managed to get himself in to almost every single well publicised one of them! lol.

    Can’t remember much after Ole’s goal, i was slightly intoxicated.

  12. Fze123 says:

    These pictures bring back great memories! I miss Nicky. Amidst all my joy and celebrations as we lifted the cup, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for Bayern. It would have been terrible to be in their place that night. However we benefited from witnessing a legendary comeback in dramatic style. What a special team that was.

  13. Fred says:

    Great pics. Where have these just emerged from?

  14. Fred says:

    :-D @ parjo

  15. Giles Oakley says:

    Hi Scott, don’t worry, I wasn’t actually demending more pix of David May, I was just gently laughing at his efforts at the time to get in every shot. Someone from outer space looking at the standard pictures of that night might be forgiven for thinking he was the one wot won it! With or without Maysie in the frame, they’re all fantastic memories.

    Best night ever. Simple as that.

  17. CaerdyddCoch says:
