Former Manchester United defender, Gerard Pique, expressed his happiness over our win against Blackpool tonight.

Wow! Man Utd finally won after losing 2-0 against Blackpool! Great! I go to sleep and hope that tomorrow we match against Almeria!

    Maybe we need a wee bit more context on this one Scott. Good to see that Gerard is still following our games. He still respects Vida and Rio, thats for sure. He would still be second string if he had stayed.

    shows what a class organization utd are,most players who leave still have an affection and bond with the club.forlan,pique,ronaldo,rudd,beckham have all had good things to say over the past year even if some didn’t leave on the best of terms.

    Can’t fault Pique for leaving at all, considering when he left he would have had to compete with the best centre-back pairing in England at the peak of their powers. He’s done well for himself, too.

    Despite Smalling’s shakiness today, he has proven to be a good buy, especially considering Evans has not had the best of seasons and with the niggling injury problems Rio had during the early part of the season.

    quality defender … but he was never going to displace Rio or Vidic – yet. was always going back to Barca – glad he is respectful and still intrigued how United is doing – kind of like Ronaldo!!

    Pique has not only done well, he has done magnificently with Barca! I do look at this fact whenever Jonny Evans or Smalling screw up, remember Carling Cup against West Ham.
    But we can be proud that these ex-players look back with fondness at our games like us ManUtd fans.
