After an initially difficult time at Manchester United, Paul Pogba is flying now. The midfielder has revealed that it is a chat with manager Jose Mourinho that helped turn his situation around.

He told me not to listen to anybody, just be focused on the pitch and enjoy yourself. That is all I am doing. He talked to me. He made me very comfortable and confident. He said ‘you know how to play, do what you want’. He let me free on the pitch. He told me just to enjoy myself. That is it. That is all I need to hear from the manager.

Mourinho has also reflected on Pogba’s happiness at the club and reckons the midfielder has more goals in him. Pogba has hit the woodwork seven times this season.

Paul is very happy in the way the team plays and the team allows him to play. I think he can score goals. I don’t want to set targets for him, but I just feel that in every match he can potentially score a goal. Paul will always get into positions where he will have a free-kick or a shot from 20 to 25 metres. So I always feel, in every game he will have conditions to potentially score.
