One of my favourites was the 1998 – 2000 Premier League shirt which was nicer in my opinion than the Champions League shirt but you strangely haven’t included it. 1993 – 1995 Black Away was nice too but my favourite is probably the 1992 – 1993 Home shirt although it’s one of the few I didn’t own!

The best kit was 2006-07, the white kit with Black & Gold and Black shorts.
Simple and elegant is the best fit, John O’Shea looked great in it at Anfield and Solskjaer wore it too.

I don’t get to watch a lot of non-United footie, but I’ve ended up watching a lot of Dortmund last couple of seasons (pure coincidence). And I’ve been impressed with Kagawa, on occasions more than I’ve been impressed with Goetze. I’m not so convinced about Gaitan – but then I’ve hardy watched him play.

On topic – never bought a shirt, and unlikely to do so in the future. Just my nature – don’t like to make a display of my love. For me, it’s an intensely personal thing to be shared with fellow Reds – not paraded before the world. Besides, in India you get to see these punks who use the United (or chelsea/pool/barca/madrid/arsenal) shirt as a fashion statement, without understanding a shit thing about the club, or even football. I would shudder to be thought of in the same category.
I don’t think there’s anything average about Kagawa. He looks quality to me.
It’s also a bit unfair to suggest hes coming because he’s Asian. If he comes to united it’s because he’s a very good player in his own right and shouldn’t be underestimated.
A lot of clubs are looking at this lad but he seems to want to play for us. Which can only be a good thing.

For the most part our shirts are pretty terrible. When you consider the makers of them, addidas, umbro, nike…they tend to come out with something pretty poor. The best United shirt/kit was the one worn in the derby game with City for the Munich memorial where we lost 2-0. If i saw our lads in that every week i’d be made up. No sponsor, the right red, no white socks like european games. Red, black and white. And the badge of the 58 cup final shirt is awesome!
Mancdub- kagawa is a very good player. The lad really wants to play for us and in future that’s of prime importance to me. Not a stepping stone to big bucks.
It may be we see more g nev’s coming through . Nit the most outstanding naturally talented but who want to play for us more than anyone else That’s a powerful motivator.
Look at Milner at city. Used to rate him and I think he would have been good for us . Now no more than a sub and blue spokesperson. Hopefully more will chose to play rather than sit on the bench .

@Sandeep, i agree we gotta take the bad with the good, the defeat with the victories etc. but the sheer manner in which we lost our advantage makes it even harder to digest. never thought a United team would show such naivety. but oh well, that’s how life goes i guess, as long as they learn from this now i’ll be happy.
also agree with your point about leftback. IMO fabio never really tried to give any competition to Evra, which is why SAF decided to send him on loan. give him a chance to develop and get some real playing time so maybe when he comes back he can be a true asset to the team. don’t think we’re gonna buy a left back right now, much less a top Premier League name like Baines, unless it’s a real bargain.
in my mind, we need to strengthen the midfield more than anything else. I’m pretty happy with Welbeck and Rooney upfront, and as long as Chicharito’s appearances are limited to off the bench, we should be fine, but one injury could mess a lot of things up. Don’t know who we can bring in at this point since there’s not a lot of strikers who would a) come on the cheap b) be of good quality (or at least good potential c) not hamper the development of Welbeck. Your thoughts on the matter?
My main transfer targets were 1. goetze 2. hazard 3. martinez and at this point none of them look like even a remote possibility. I wouldn’t go out and say i’m completely opposed to us signing someone like Kagawa but nico Gaitan is an absolute NO NO. We were piss-poor against benfica and even then he failed to amaze or even impress.
@Costas, i saw you mention Pogba on his way out? Is there any truth to that or is it just speculation? It would be terrible to lose a player of that quality, really really hope we can manage to keep him. Honestly i never really understood what the big fuss was about that little delinquent ravel morrison, if someone’s worth keeping around it’s Pogba.

07/08 is the best of recent years without a doubt. Any black away shirt wins it for me.

Seriously cannot fathom why like the 1958 kit which we all saw int he 2008 memorial manchester derby why we can’t bring out a sexy simple stylish red shirt with a white v-neck. I would put the United badge on a white background like the 06/07 with manchester united football club named on the crest. That would look smashing. bees knees
My personal favourite is the 92-94 Green and Gold one, followed by the 2003 home kit. Voted for the 1958 one out of this bunch though, followed by the 93-95 black shirt.
Surprised that the 07/08 black one is getting so many votes, I thought it was quite ugly especially with the red stripe on the back. The Black Vodafone shirt from 03/05 was far better.
