There's nothing in the rules of football that says Rooney should have had a chance to reach the ball after he poked it past Almunia. Even if Rooney was to kick the ball 50 yards to the side, the foul happenned and was obvious and that's why it is a penalty. Period.

If your beloved Fabregas pokes the ball past Vidic but the ball runs over the touchline and Vidic then clippes Fabregas with a twofooted late challenge, wouldn't you expect it to bee a penalty or a freekick, even if the ball is 40 yards away?

The difference between Rooney and Eduardo is that in one of the cases there was clear contact. I think you Gooners know it wasn't at Emirates last week.

You're just bitter because you didn't win over a very below par United!

The press keep pointing out that United committed more fouls but received less bookings. Gleefully overlooking the fact tha one of Arsenal's players was booked for diving and another booked for dissent.

Wenger should look at these 2 videos before opening his mouth. Now tell me who is anti-football.

The gooners should just switch sports and play chess. Football is a contact sport. Expect there to be tackles, contact and some fouls. The ref gave free kicks for any fouls and he didn't feel that any of Fletch's or Carrick's tackles deserved a card as they didn't deserve one.

Why are the arses kicking up this big a fuss about Fletcher's foul? It was the same attack that lead to Arshavin's goal, so I really don't see how they lost out on a goal or whatever.

The difference between Eduardo and Rooney was that Boruc did not make contact while Almunia did. That doesn't take Einstein to figure out, does it?

arsenal did play better football on the day but that dosnt mean anything if u cant scores the goals. man utd wanted the win more than arsenal its not about who deserves the win its abouut who wanted it more arsenal didnt. as 4 the own goal who was behind diaby when the free kick came in it would hav been a goal either way

Re David@19.22

You may not know but on these pages I stick up for Arsenal because in AW you have what we have in SAF. They are now two pioneers of world football because they both believe in the way of youth. Why we have been better than you is that we still have players of experience to play alongside raw talent. Arsenal don't. That's not to say that Arsenal are inferior to MU.

However in no way is MUFC inferior to Arsenal eitheir. If all the chances were taken in yesterdays match United would have still won. The two missed chances at the end were criminal. If they had gone in, you guys wouldn't be coming on here and arguing that you were better. You play brilliant football, but so do we and the trophies in the last three years are proof of that - do you or any Arsenal supporter disagree otherwise - then the laugh is on you.

Remember the fa cup final back in 05? We battered you guys to kingdom come and lost on penalties. Are you saying that the better team lost? I bet you aren't. It's a match and at the end of yesterday we won you lost and nothing has been decided. But for you guys to come on here and argue you are a class above us - no you aren't. You will be though if you beat us to the premiership/fa/carling/Cl trophies etc.

As for Ronaldo again, well I could be bitter and say you could draw Barcelona and Henry might dump you out, but I won't because I would rather see Arsenal football outplay Barcelona football. At the end I hope to see that Arsenal and Utd meet in the final of the CL to show everyone that we play better football than everyone else. Why do you think AW and SAF finally get on? Because they are older, wiser and share a passion of football that begins and ends in youth. Plus more importantly they know when to rebuild teams like no one else does. If anyone were to win the premiership over us then I would bite the bullet and say Arsenal because of AW vision of football coincides with SAF and as a supporter I can understand that.

I hope that I have demonstrated to you that I can have a debate with a rival supporter without being meaningless.

P.S. I too laugh at what happened yesterday and find it a disgrace that AW was treated like that at the end because what he did was nothing. If SAF had done that in the 95th minute of time I hope common sense would prevail.

No sense in arguing. If you've made up your mind that we are bitter then fair play to you.

Im just sitting back laughing at the whole thing

Oh by the way The FA can fuck off with their apology.

Hypocritical bastards.

Oh Arsenal fans bitter about the penalty you never got:

I wish you had it it still would not have meant that when Arshavin scored moments later that you would have scored a second one - so your point about not getting the penalty is what exactly? You might not have scored the penalty if it were given therefore what are you ranting about?

Amazing how hot headed you lot are getting about it - I remember your fans laughing stupidly when Fletch got sent off for a brilliant tackle against cesc in the CL semi

What goes around comes around, if you can't take it we took it last year at your backyard when we lost 2-1 and as I remember correctly we played brilliantly. However we didn't complain we lost - something you can't get a handle of

David @ 4.10

Let him come and feel the force that awaits him.

Where is Old Toilet by the way?

Talk about selling out - Old Trafford is still Old Trafford, what level did you go to to sell Asburton Grove or Highbury two into the Emirates Stadium?

You lost a match yet your bitterness is astounding. The only thing inevitable will be when we win the premiership and beat you to the Champions League again will you realise that we are better than you.

Oh sorry, come again, have you not realised that in the last three years?
