The whole ‘Rooney offside’ thing means nothing because we won the game, if Pompey had scored late on and the final score was 1-1 that decision would have had a massive impact on us and yet again, it will be forgotten in no time.

Not to add salt into the wounds and ster up any uneccesary arguments but Diop also blatantly punched the ball out for a throw when tussling with Rooney half way into the Pompey half, and to make matters the worse the throw in was given to Pompey. The ref certainly wasn’t at the races, or perhaps he was at the races when he should have been at the football match.

With regards to the CS incident, anyone whos anyone can see that Tevez’s stamp (tread) on Herriedesen was accidental, bcoz they were tussling for the ball anf Herriedisen fell over. He was stupid to drag Tevez to the ground coz it cld and shld have been a penalty.

You really are a condesending bunch aren’t you? Jesus i’m sure if most prem clubs had your sort of money then we would be able to compete with you. It really is all about money.

As for being bottom we have just played the top 2 teams in the country and possibly europe so I’m not too worried at the moment.

And the guy that said Diop was lucky to stay on the pitch…No you’re right you didn’t see the game so shut the f*** up! He clearly won the ball fairly against Tevez and the argie made a 3 course meal of it!

How can you go mental over one wrong offside decision, especially when Utd still won? It’s unlucky that you perceive several decisions going wrongly against you whilst playing Portsmouth over the last year. However, there have been numerous occasions when things have gone right for you and you never mention them. There is never any balanced reporting on this site. Typical Utd fans, winning just isn’t enough is it, you will never be happy! At least the likes of Portsmouth have other lower clubs in the premiership have proper and loyal fans.

Thanks for clarifying the penalty shout. It was indeed lucky that the ball didn’t find it’s way through to Rooney or else it was a definite pen. I can’t see the ref giving it if he’s effectively not interfering with play though? (Irrespective of the laws of the game, refs are always dead cagey when making decisions in the box).

We’re not all that pissed off that we’re on zero points – we have just played the top two after all. There is some annoyance that we’re not playing as well as we know we can, but little more than that. Thankfully the league is a marathon and not a sprint, so I think we’ll start moving in the right direction soon enough.

And yes, I’m surprised Diop didn’t get a second yellow as well (I guess we’ve got the ref in our pocket then, yes?!?)

But I think we can all understand the Pompey fans frustration…..If we were sitting on zero points and zero goals at the bottom of the league I think I’d be pissed off too……
