Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Daley Blind and Marcus Rashford have been left out of the squad for today’s game against Norwich so they can be rested, rather than through injury.
Anthony Martial will lead the line in place of Rashford, while Marcos Rojo will be used in the centre of defence instead of Blind.
Blind has played in 59 games for club and country this season, so he may well need a rest, but with just three league games and the FA Cup final to go, you would think that Van Gaal would let Blind soldier on.
Rashford has started in all of the 14 games United have played in since making his debut in February, but Van Gaal clearly wants to keep him fresh against the tough trip to West Ham.
There’s no point winning at West Ham in the week if they don’t win today though.
