It was a great performance from United, I was cautious before the game and had predicted a 2-2 scoreline but United were superb.

After missing a fair few chances in the opening half hour I did wonder if we would live to regret those misses but, thankfully, we just continued to control and game and the goals came.

Nani and Rooney were both superb, as many have said it was Nani's best performance of the season and probably of any season with us.

Much like the Champions League semi-final when the 3rd goal went in I didn't know what I was doing - it was almost an out-of-body experience because 3-0 away to Arsenal is not a scoreline I had thought of in my wildest dreams.

I kept thinking "It shouldn't be this easy, what's going on!".

We really do seem to be hitting a purple patch with some top notch performances, all I can say is keep it up please lads!

I tend to disagree with the performance of our central defense pairing. while Evans was pretty solid in the second half defensively, he was absolutely poor in passing (as he is almost always). and thanks to Arshavin bad day that he didn`t score twice or 3 times against Brown who was really poor defensively and I was always thrilled when the play was happening around him. fortunately, it was just 1 goal that we conceeded, but the difference of playing Brown - Evans to playing at least one of Vida - Rio is so massive. and I am not getting into complacency about their performance just because we won yesterday

@ gotta hate tiny tears
I have to agree with you here mate RE Afromanc. The pedo chants at Wenger are discusting, terrible and very unfair. I can't begin to imagine being accused of something so terrible. Maybe its Fans Forums like this where we can put it to bed once and for all.

Absolute pleasure mate, in fact today has restored some of my faith in these internet football forums. It does my head in when all you get is petty name calling between fans behind a computer screen. To be honest it was easy to take yesterdays defeat on the chin because it was so comprehensive, same as in May in the CL semi and August was just comical. I don't know if it's cos I have matured but defeats used to hurt a lot more than they do - 99 FA Cup semi for example. Anyways good luck for the rest of the season and I'm praying we don't come up against you or Chelsea in the CL.

@SteniS

Where are you and your brother from? Surely that should determine the team you support?

@MeS

Irish pub? No don't think so, cant remember pub name but was near Camden tube

Arsenal fan here. Credit where credits due, you outplayed us just as you did last May at the Emirates. SAF showed how little tweaks in tactics can change the game, after he released Scholes from midfield you were just a completely different animal and we had no answer to it. Wenger's stubborness is his most frustrating quality, sticking with players like Almunia when he's made dozens of shocking mistakes this season alone is beyond me.

RE: Gooner 77

As Alex said, it really has been a pleasure speaking to you today, I wish all fans were as unbiased as you.

Come back for another chat shortly; hopefully next Sunday when you beat the chavs!

My brother, who's only 12 (I'm 9 years older), and I have always been really close and have always been United-fans until just a few of weeks ago when he all of a sudden decided to give up United for Arsenal. It felt good that we really trashed them, but I didn't want to rub it in his face too much. I'd rather want him to realise his mistake in forsaking the club he's supported since he started to kick a football. After the game he kept insisting on stuff like "we'll be the best team in the world next year", "Arsenal will mature", "Fabregas will get even better", which sounded somewhat stupid coming from such a smart kid.

Normally, I wouldn't waste a second of thought for people who change the club they support over a night, but me and my brother have shared so many great moments when watching and supporting United together and it was kind of our thing. I've not made a big deal about him switching allegiances and just let him get on with it without discussing it much. Any advise on how to "win him back" to the United camp? Or should I just accept that he's now an Arse-fan and that all those years of supporting United together is of the past? I know he's a young lad and all, but I was planning on bringing him to Manchester next season to watch a couple of games and have a nice few days, but those plans seem to be gone out the window.
