@ Fletch – I agree if we get to see Mata or Kagawa actually play as a No 10 that may be the one silver lining to RVP’s injury. However, I would not be surprised if Moyes just put in Welbeck or Hernandez instead and kept Mata on the wing.

Rooney for me needs to be on the left of attack. We are weak on the LW and he is weak as No 10, when he played on the left with Ronnie, Ruud, he made his name. He is also more disciplined when he is on the wing as opposed to being allowed to roam all over. I hope Moyes sees sense and tells Rooney to stick there unless he is going to have the discipline to lead the line and right now Welbeck has a better goal form and is better at leading the line than Rooney.

NBI it’s one thing to be critical of the manager’s decisions and another to be this negative about the clubs general activity. You could chill abit

  3. NBI Red 21 says:

Moyes obviously does not rate or know how to use Kagawa or appreciate what he does. So far every time Kagwa has played centrally we look better but Moyes prefers Cleverly.

The one thing that can be said is neither Mata or Kagawa have had a chance under Moyes. And by that I mean a decent run in their proper position to stake their claim. Moyes inability to use these players properly is just one of the reasons he needs to go. Who the fuck buys Mata to be a right winger? He isn’t even amongst the top 10 right wingers in the EPL.

  4. NBI Red 21 says:

@ Rukky – alright sunshine, banging the drum are you, seriously go fuck yourself if you think anyone here needs to be told what to think by you, if you have a point make it, no one is here to listed to fucking preacher sermons from people up their own arse. Seriously. I’ll have my fucking say about what I want and if you want to say shit well, happy to fuck you back. If you want to make a point, happy to make a point back.

  5. Timothy Peng says:

The year Evra went to the CL final with Monaco, when he was 22, he was Ligue 1 Young Player of the year and was named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Year. Top quality with massive upside at the time.

  6. NBI Red 21 says:

@ Timothy – spot on. Evra was also wanted by Barca or Madrid at the time but he came to United.

  7. DeGeaWeTrust says:

We will see over the 2 legs, either united rise to the challenge, or they get fully exposed like 2009, and especially 2011. I am not going to say we will get destroyed, by I think the latter will happen, and Munich will have a little to much for united, that is my view. We may not get destroyed, but I do not like our chances in Germany with this midfield and defense we currently have, that is not being negative, its being realistic.

  8. united till i die says:

I’m willing to bet our number of chances per game drastically increase with RVP out injured. You can put the best 11 players on the pitch all season long but if you don’t have the right balance within those 11 you simply end up with shit performances and one shot on goal like the Liverpool game. We aren’t necessarily a better team without RVP but his absence should create a better balanced team which will hopefully at better. This is Mata’s chance to really show what he can do playing behind the main striker.

  9. Rukky E. Atebefia says:

See I’m not a fan of moyes and as a matter of fact I want him sacked come summer but you just take it to a totally new level calling him stupid and stuff. Calling young names is another but the manager of your club is on a different level. Ps I’m all for kags getting into the 11 but cleverly and kagawa don’t play in the same position, kags an at mf cleverly central.

  10. Rukky E. Atebefia says:

On topic I really hope to see the same attack without RVP against bayern. No attacking performance has been as dominant as that one. Kags, nani and welbeck/ Antonio behind Rooney

  11. wayne barker says:

Ffs when Evra first came to Utd he struggled doesn’t matter what he did prior he played around 10 league games that first half season and around 20 league games his 2nd season by the time he was considered one of the best in the world would’ve been around 2009 which puts him at 27

  12. Timothy Peng says:

Evra was selected to Premier League Team of the Year in 2006-7 on the back of those 24 games in his 2nd season. By December 2006, just before the 1 year anniversary of the transfer period that brought him to United, Evra was 1st choice LB over Silvestre.

  13. NBI Red 21 says:

What’s wrong with calling Moyes stupid when does stupid things? He is not the Pope of God and he is not Manchester United, he is just an average manager who got lucky cos his dad was mates with SAF so he got a job he did not deserve and he needs to go. Moyes is lucky, stupid, dull, boring, slow, negative and arrogant. He has turned United into the whipping boys of the EPL and the CL, nobody is afraid of him.

Kagawa can play in CMF, he is very good at linking defence and attack and would be 100 times better than Cleverly in the same position, he played deep for a couple of games for United and was brilliant linking defence and attack, this idea all MF players have to be attack of defence boxed is nonsesnse, Keano and Scholes were box to box, Inesta and Xavi are box to box, Carrick choses to sit back but Kagawa is box to box and would definately be better than Cleverly, he is more than capable of outshining Cleverly in an MF 2.

  14. Rukky E. Atebefia says:

You’v got It all wrong man, with a few exceptions of versatile (quality) players there is a difference between a no 10 and a box to box mf. Wonder why people like isco, mata, ozil, carzola, gotze and zidane were never played In the Kroos,Xavi, Scholes or yaya’s positions because of flair? It just doesn’t work, simple as that. U could even look at the current mata wing situation.

  15. slim says:

    NBI is stupid

Now before you get your panties in a bunch, remember you yourself said nothing wrong in calling someone stupid if they’re stupid. Well i think you’re stupid. How else can you think Moyes got the job because his “dad” is friends with SAF. That statement is an insult to SAF and you’ll do wisely to catch your tongue when you’re about to say something stupid in future. You know, it’ll make you look not stupid

Pope of God? Lawd have mercy

  16. The_red_devils says:

Rooney doesn’t play as a no.10, are people so stupid that they can’t see that? We play with two strikers, two wingers, 2 central midfielders in a 4-4-1-1, i don’t know where this no.10 thing comes from

  17. NBI Red 21 says:

@ slim – go fuck yourself you stupid cunt. You think Moyes got the job because he was the best person for it? Even a fool like you will surely accept that SAF handed Moyes the job for all the wrong reasons, yes SAF fucked up in appointing Moyes, he is an absolute beast of a legend as a manager but he is shite ay manger recruitment and his decision to appoint Moyes was an absolute disaster of a decision. Saying SAF picked a shit manager to follow him does not disrespect his legacy, Busby also had a shit manager follow his and he saw sense and took over from him before the end of the season so that United did not completely fuck up.

@ The Red Devil – hello dumbfuck – yes Rooney does play exactly where Mata and Kagawa would play as No 10 or deep lying second striker or whatever the fuck you want to call it, the space he occupies when he plays with RVP is exactly the space a No 10 occupies, he is not a classic stiker, he wants to be the playmaker and he is not good enough to play that role.

  18. The_red_devils says:

second striker and no.10 are DIFFERENT, he drops deep because of lack of supply from our midfield. Go watch cricket if you don’t understand football.
We can’t use a no.10 because we have to play rooney, if you say that, then it is ok, But to say rooney is a bad no.10 or rooney sucks as no.10 etc is stupidity of highest level. Rooney doesn’t play as no.10
as i said before, we play with 2 strikers and 2 wingers. Rooney occupies the space in which no.10 plays don’t mean he plays as a no.10, As our system don’t have a no.10 and as he drops deep to get on the ball(since there is no good supply from our midfield), he gets into that space.
Moyes always talk about rvp-rooney strike partnership, even rvp, rooney say the same.
You are the one who targets rooney for getting into rvp space, and at the same time you target him for not being good no.10, its called double standard.
