Rio Ferdinand has revealed that the last few weeks of last season left him having sleepless nights.
“At first it was one of those things you couldn’t get out of your mind,” he told MUTV. “For the first couple of weeks you’re waking up in the middle of the night thinking about what happened and how it could have ended differently. You don’t get over it but you put it to the back of your mind for the few weeks after that. It’s hard, though, because you’ve always got people reminding you about it, whether it’s fans of different teams or fans of United. But you use that as inspiration for the following season.”

I’ve decided to give the lad a chance and not criticise anymore.
He is just 24 and unlucky, as are United tbh, we’ve been unlucky since 2010 injury wise.
We can’t risk selling him incase he comes good for some other team, I think SAF will give this year the biggest opportunity to prove himself, remember this guy is seen as the natural successor to Paul Scholes, he was scouted 5 years ago, as the boy to do the job.
Anyways, he has my backing now ! You can do it Ando !
Just imagine if Anderson + Clevs stays fit ! Alongside Carrick who’s class and Scholes who’ll play once a week interchanging with Giggs for games. That 2 young un’s, 1 Middle ager and 2 Granddads in our midfield squad.
Fletcher’s case is really sad, horrible illness. We’ll need cover for him, either a new signing or Tunnicliffe who is of age now will have to come in.

I get your argument but im going to give him a chance. You could say some are not meant to be full time footballer which is why they get injured frequently and some are just not capable physically. On the other hand, a guy like Anderson progressed from Porto’s youth system, impressed and got a £18m move to United so that not the case and probably more down to as you say…conditioning.
I think this is Anderson’s last chance and he will improve on his body (Legs, hair etc). UnIted and Ando know very well he’s missed a big chunk of his career through injuries and will do their best to reignite the career of the boy.
I just hope he finally knuckles down and improves his fitness, Nani believed last year would the year Ando showed his worth….I hope it’s this year !
